On this episode of The Native Experience Podcast, we have the pleasure of welcoming back Tim Brookes, the founder of the Endangered Alphabets Project.
Join us as we delve into Tim’s work preserving endangered languages and the cultures they represent through an exploration of writing systems. We also discuss what the future of writing looks like, especially in regards to the rise of digitization and a global decline of personal investment in writing.
As well as exploring the effects of digitization on writing, Tim also emphasized the importance of respectful and effective engagement with indigenous communities to support cultural revitalization and inclusivity.
Tim Brookes is a true champion of native experiences and is the guiding light for endangered alphabets. Tune in and prepare to be moved by a narrative that goes beyond the ink and into the heart of humanity’s diverse expressions.
