On this episode, I share my Lecture at Jamaica Theological Seminary, a college class I teach via the zoom platform for 3 hours weekly. This is Lecture 11, where I continue to explore Afro-Caribbean beliefs and traditions and highlighting influences such as Dutty Boukman and providing an overview of the few of the main traditions and how they are perceived today.
We then transition into part two of the Lecture which was a documentary film presentation, "Life and Debt" and situating it within the broader conversation about cinema and globalization.
In the coming days, we will release the final two lectures of the class, and Lecture 13 is climactic.
