When a social worker with big Karen energy (Miss Finch) decides that Big Bird (Sesame Street, Related Merchandise) isn't happy living on Sesame Street away from his "own kind", she and a panel of bureaucratic numbnuts ship him off to live with the Dodos; a strange bird family with weird Osmond vibes. Though reluctant at first, the citizens of Sesame Street wish him a fond farewell to possibly find happiness with his new adoptive family. However, upon hearing that Bird's best pal, Snuffy isn't allowed to visit, he backflips outta there, and hits the road back to The Street. Shortly after, local news reports alert Big Bird's friends and neighbors that he is missing, and they immediately rally together to go find him, and get their boy back.
Warner Brothers Family Entertainment, Jim Henson Studios and Children's Television Workshop proudly present "Follow That Bird", the very first ever feature length film based on the beloved children's classic television series, "Sesame Street". With a colorful cast of freakish weirdos like Oscar the Grouch, Bert and Ernie, Cookie Monster, The Count, Super-Grover, Kermit the Frog, and others, and celebrity cameos from Chevy Chase, Sandra Bernhard, John Candy, Dave Thomas, Joe Flaherty and Waylon Jennings, this big-hearted cross-country adventure holds up surprisingly well.
