Every once in a while, a prolific director will step out of their comfort zone and do something completely unexpected. Because of this, Chad and Jess are back to discuss an odd installation in Kevin Smith's (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy) filmography, Tusk. Originally conceived on Smith's podcast, Tusk became an inside joke on the show, and eventually was voted on by listeners and fans to make the movie or not. #walrusyes won by a landslide, and for better or worse, the film was made. But, what is it about this film that can possibly stand out in the wake of so many other body horror films inspired by The Human Centipede? Does it have an identity of it's own, or is it simply the punchline it was meant to be? Whatever the case, we here at The Pretty Little Podcast commend anybody that tries something new, and we have some opinions about the film that we can't wait to share.
