In this week’s episode of the Sportsman's Voice Roundup Fred is joined once again by Kaleigh Leager for our lead story in Maryland, where the 2024 legislative session has adjourned, and three anti-sportsman bills were defeated. Senate Bill 983 aimed to establish a lead phase-out plan for hunting ammunition, but it did not pass. House Bill 935/Senate Bill 784 proposed an additional 5% tax on firearms and ammunition, but it also failed. Senate Bill 17 and House Bill 667 sought to lump hunting and fishing under animal cruelty, which both saw defeat as well.
