Sean Forrest on Haiti 180, Jesus's love for the Poor, Entering into Suffering... and other Tangents!
Fr. Sam Kachuba and Matt Sperrazza interview Sean Forrest, the co-founder of Haiti 180.
Haiti 80 is a charity that aims to improve the lives of the Haitian People, building schools, orphanages (more accurately called "homes", no one who lives there feels orphaned), medical facilities, nursing homes, Chapels. Haiti 180 helps the Haitian people know their dignity by providing for them and instructing them in the Catholic faith.
Fr. Sam, Matt and Sean discuss Sean's own experience in Haiti, God's true love for the poor (just take note of how often Jesus mentions the poor in the Gospels), the necessity of serving the poor, and entering into the suffering opens us up to God.
