Dr. Tonia Sharlach is professor at Oklahoma State University. Her fields of research and expertise include Ancient history, Sumerian and Babylonian civilization and religion, and women in Ancient Near Eastern religion.
She received her PhD from Harvard university and is the author of An Ox of One's Own: Royal Wives and Religion at the Court of the Third Dynasty of Ur - a book we discuss in this episode.
Her next project is tentatively titled Death and Taxes in Early Mesopotamia.
