Voice of Yoga (Music)
Welcome to the Institute for Personal
Development, Kriya Yoga Ashram, where
Total Consciousness is the new frontier.
Kriya Yoga is union of the
individual with the Divine.

(00:22):
Join us as we explore the practices to
initiate this process.
(Music ends) Good morning.
Welcome to The Voice of Yoga.
Let's Talk Consciousness.
I am your hostess, Lisa Winton, and with
me is Kenny Toy, also known as Swami
Jayananda, founder of the Institute for
Personal Development, located here in
Hampton, New Hampshire.

(00:43):
Good morning, Swami.
Thank you for being here today.
How are you?
Good morning.
I'm doing pretty good today.
How about you?
I'm doing great today, too.
Thanks for asking, and we'd like to thank
you all for tuning in.
Today on The Voice of Yoga, we will talk
about the scriptural command of putting
off the old man by discovering Judas, or
the son of perdition in us, is the world

(01:04):
Mind functioning as our corporeal sense.
Listen as we expose the folly of the
mental-material, so-called world of
energy, by revealing the Truth of Being.
In this episode, we will explain the
three modes of mortal thinking as opposed
to the operation of the Divine Mind.
Welcome to The Voice of Yoga.
We are Talking Consciousness.

(01:26):
Join the Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance to
get the light in your soul and begin
living in a new world.
Swami, the title of today's episode is
"The End of This World."
What can you tell us about this title?
Yeah, I was inspired by Herb Fitch's
Realization of Oneness, Class 33B.

(01:50):
The mortal concept of betrayal as the
catalyst to overcome the false belief in
a temporary sense of existence.
The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Don't be tempted to believe in the
appearance of a good
and evil world of energy.
In Truth, the ultimate betrayal is the

(02:13):
acceptance of the false for the Real, the
human instead of the Divine.
And Herb Fitch tells us in this class,
"We are to know that we are Christ, not
in the world, while we
appear as form in the world."
And for me, the key word here is "Know."

(02:36):
He doesn't say "believe,"
"think," "try," but "Know."
Just as Jesus says, "Know the Truth that
will make you free."
It's very important to start to
understand the difference between
thinking with five corporeal senses and

(02:57):
Knowing with seven Spiritual senses,
which has been a major theme of all of
the work we do with these shows.
Well, we do have a soundbite from Herb
Fitch's Realization of Oneness, Class
33B, that we should play.
Yeah, and if anybody is interested in the

(03:17):
full audio file or the complete program,
you can get this at
mysticalprincipals.com, and I'll play it.
Now, some of these things right now are
not new, but the reiteration of them
helps to reach a level of ourselves that
we are somewhat
reluctant to strive to attain.

(03:38):
We're to know that we are Christ, not in
the world, while we
appear as form in the world.
That's a pretty difficult way of life,
but after the intermission, we'll be
opened up so that we see how we're going
to further this goal.
For the moment, we're dwelling on the
statement of Christ before crucifixion.
"I am not in this world."

(03:58):
And we will hear the echo of that Christ
within ourselves saying,
"I am not in this world."
And we will identify with that "I" which
says this, and that is
the purpose of this silence.
"I am that "I" which says, "I am not in
this world, but I am here
now in the kingdom of God."
We're at the 12th verse, "While I was

(04:21):
with them in the world," emphasizing I'm
no longer in the world, "while I was with
them in the world, I
kept them in thy name.
Those that thou davest me I have kept.
And none of them is lost,
but the son of perdition."
That the scripture might be fulfilled.

(04:42):
Now, at first blush it would appear that
the son of perdition is
Judas, but we'll go beyond that.
In your 109th Psalm, you notice there is
a statement about the fact that there
would be a betrayal, and this is
interpreted to be Judas.
In fact, the whole 109th
psalm is about that betrayal.
But it's much more than

(05:03):
the betrayal of Judas.
The son of perdition in us is Judas, and
it must be cast out.
We know now that the son of perdition is
our material consciousness, which must be
cast out, the love of the world.
The son of perdition in us is not the son
of God, therefore who is it the son of?
We rediscover that the son of perdition

(05:24):
in us is the world mind functioning as
our corporeal sense.
Our corporeal sense must be cast out.
Always again, in many disguises, we are
told that our belief that I dwell in the
form must be cast out.
The son of perdition in you is your
belief that you are living in a form.

(05:46):
It must be cast out,
even as Judas was cast out.
That scripture might be fulfilled, and it
takes us even further than casting out
the sense of corporeality.
And this is something we have never
discussed in this
class until this moment.
That Judas being cast out is a symbol of
what you and I must do, for that is a

(06:08):
pronouncement of the end of the world.
Croporeality is to be cast out.
It isn't going to be prevented.
Croporeality cast out or material
consciousness cast out.
Judas cast out is a
preview of the end of the world.
Swami, Herb Fitch mentions the
phrase "son of perdition."

(06:29):
What does that mean, and
what should we glean from that?
Perdition means utter destruction.
It's an interesting term because that's
the nature of matter.
Matter destroys itself, primarily because
there is no such thing as matter.

(06:50):
It's inevitable.
The only thing that gives matter its
appearance is belief.
Belief is borrowing the Self-Existent
power of Spirit and applying it to this
concept of existence.
So here we want to talk about how we can

(07:12):
be true to the Immortal Self
and cast out the Judas in us.
Judas is the son of perdition, which is
world-mind functioning in us as corporeal
sense, and it must go.
Like Herb said, it won't be prevented.

(07:33):
The key question here is, how can we
resolve a physical form into a mental
image capable of
receiving Divine revelation?
It's a process.
Start with born-again of Spirit.
Begin to understand fear is the defense

(07:54):
mechanism for the false sense of self.
And Know the Truth.
Life is Perfect.
The kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
So this idea of the end of the world, or
like R.E.M. said, the end of
the world as we know it.
The world as we know it

(08:14):
is our thought about it.
It is only a thought.
And as long as we continue to believe
this is real, we give it
the life it doesn't have.
The biggest barrier to overcoming this
world is the concept of finite good.

(08:36):
It's a mix of good and evil.
For every action there is an
equal and an opposite reaction.
So when you have finite good, it has with
it the complementary
finite bad other part.
And so this idea of
betrayal is built into the beast.

(08:59):
And even though we continue to try and
manage it with thought and belief by
changing finite bad to finite good,
Judas must be cast out.
The idea of duality.
Spirit is the only Self-Existent power.

(09:19):
It's Absolute Goodness.
But in order for us to activate Spirit in
our experience, we
must be conscious of it.
To be conscious of it, we need to develop
this faculty that
enables us to perceive It.
So it's an ever ending, never ending
problem until we Know the Truth.

(09:45):
Swami, let's explore a little bit more
about the concept of betrayal.
Betrayal is such an interesting event.
And we all think Judas betrayed Jesus,
but Judas thought he was doing Jesus a
huge favor by turning him over to the

(10:06):
Pharisees to make him
more famous and popular.
What surrounds us is
within us, but do we know?
We betray our true Self every time we
think we are here on earth in a form.
Let's talk about how we can be true to
the Divine Self and

(10:27):
cast out the Judas in us.
Swami, so give us some ideas as to how we
can be true to the Divine Self to cast
out the Judas in us.
This is why I always
come back to the Kriya Yoga.
It's a path of action, it's a path of
knowledge, it's a path of devotion.

(10:48):
You need a path of knowledge, you have to
understand how this is working, what the
Bible means when it says, "Sow to the
Spirit, not to the flesh, to separate the
wheat from the tares."
We have to know the difference between
thought, mental-material energy, matter,

(11:09):
belief, concept, form, and the invisible,
intangible Divine Omnipresence.
If we don't know God aright, it's very
easy for us to think we're Spiritual.
In Revelations where it says, "The dragon
and two beasts," there are three modes of

(11:31):
mortal thought that we
actually have to master.
You can't deny and exercise dominion over
these seemingly powers
that can do destructive harm.
And like Mary Baker Eddy tells us, you
can't just stay at the level of belief.

(11:51):
Spirit is a demonstrable Principle.
We have to prove what we are calling the
Divine Principle when your belief
graduates to faith and your faith
graduates to understanding.
Demonstrate the
Omnipresence of the Divine Principle.
Or, like in Revelations it says, "Looks

(12:12):
like a lamb, speaks like a dragon."
You're still working with the human
concept about the Divine Principle, but
you don't have the faculty
that enables you to perceive it.
So you're just working
with belief and thought.
And then you look for outcomes because

(12:33):
you can change finite bad to finite good.
And then you think when the finite good
appears, you Know the Truth, but it
doesn't go far enough.
And Mary Baker Eddy cautioned humanity
about this in the paper that she wrote,
"Principle and Practice," where she
wrote, and I'll read it, "Christian

(12:54):
Science is not a faith cure, and unless
human faith be distinguished from
Scientific healing, Christian Science
will again be lost from the practice of
religion, as it was soon after the period
of our great Master's
scientific teaching and practice.
Preaching without practice of the Divine

(13:16):
Principle of man's being has not in 1900
years resulted in
demonstrating this Principle.
Preaching without the Truth and
consistent practice of your statements
will destroy the
success of Christian Science."
End of quote.
Betrayal is the nature of the beast, and

(13:37):
for those of us sowing to the flesh,
betrayal is a signal.
We are in the wrong self.
And Herb Fitch did a wonderful job in
painting the picture with a wide brush in
that soundbike that we just played.
And he continued on, and I'll read it,
"Corporeality cast out, or material

(13:59):
consciousness cast out, Judas cast out,
is a preview of the end of the world.
Those who cast out the son of perdition,
who lose the consciousness of form by
rising to the
consciousness of Spiritual Selfhood.
Casting out Judas are those who are

(14:20):
standing in the Light which is
unaffected by the end of form.
Just as in Spiritual consciousness, in
the body of the soul, you are not buried.
So in Spiritual consciousness, in the
body of the soul, you are not buried at
the end of the world."

(14:41):
End of quote.
And for me, this becomes the catalyst as
to why you would want to initiate this
progressive cycle in development.
We're going to pause right here to hear a
word from our sponsor.
Listeners, we'll be back
with you in just a few moments.

(15:06):
Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance at Institute
for Personal Development Incorporated,
Kriya Yoga Ashram, is a complete program
for anyone looking to demonstrate Divine
law with Scientific certainty.
To demonstrate Divine Law, conscious
awareness of Divine Truth is necessary.
The Spiritual Advance
starts with the Divine creation.

(15:27):
Beginning with the
Principle, Life is Perfect.
Resting in the knowledge, Life is
Eternal, Formless,
Changeless, and Absolute Good.
The practitioner retreats from the
obstructions which are the veiling
conditions of the mortal mind.
Then rest in the
knowledge of the Divine Principle.
Thus revealing the precept,

(15:47):
consciousness is experience.
Visit the website www.iptransform.com
and begin living under Spiritual Truth.
Welcome back.
For those who are just joining us, you
are listening to The Voice of Yoga and we
are talking consciousness.

(16:07):
We have a verse from the Bible that will
help us understand that the end of the
world is what happens when consciousness
returns to the unified state.
This is from Matthew 13,
36-40 and I'll read it.
"Then Jesus sent the multitude away,
and went into the house:
and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare

(16:28):
unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
He answered and said unto them,
He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
The field is the world;
The good seed are the children of the
kingdom, but the tares are the children
of the wicked one, the enemy
that sowed them is the devil.

(16:48):
The harvest is the end of the world and
the reapers are the angels.
As therefore the tares are gathered and
burned in the fire, so shall it be in the
end of the world." End of the verse.
Swami, there seems to be a lot going on in
here that maybe we need
to start to understand.
As we say in Kriya Yoga, divide and

(17:09):
conquer before you, unite and stand.
Separate mental-material from Spiritual.
The difference between thinking with five
corporeal senses and Knowing
with seven Spiritual senses.
Spirit is whole, it's complete.
Duality is separate, it's in half.

(17:32):
Completion can never happen in duality.
And to know the difference means develop
the faculty that enables us to perceive
the Divine creation.
So there are things to do to put this in
place, initiate this process and develop.

(17:52):
The first thing that comes to me is where
Jesus says, "He that soweth
the good seed is the Son of Man."
Jesus uses the term man, he's not talking
about gender, he's talking
about a level of consciousness.
Somebody who has actually separated from
the pattern of the physical body,

(18:13):
graduated from the animal level of
existence to the
human level of existence.
And the field is the world.
The good seed are the
children of the kingdom.
There's a difference
between thoughts and ideas.
The thoughts are dualistic.

(18:35):
This world is duality under the law of
karma, driven by a belief in two powers.
The good seed is Spirit, the Christ, the
saving aspect of Truth.
What makes the Divine creation
comprehensive to human consciousness?
Without it, there's no

(18:55):
way of us Knowing the Truth.
The tears are the
children of the wicked one.
The enemy that sowed them is the devil.
As Herb told us, "Judas is the Son of
Perdition, which is world mind
functioning in us as corporeal sense.

(19:17):
It must go."
And we learn how to do this when we learn
how to control how we think, eventually
stop thinking with the five corporeal
senses, and we make our mind an avenue of
awareness for the operation of Divine
Mind, which is bringing forth

(19:38):
the Divine image and likeness.
The minute we think we are out of the
Father's house, in the mind that can't
bring forth the Divine image, and
whatever it is we bring forth is a mix of
good and evil, in spite of our good
intentions, I really like what Herb said.

(20:02):
We are Christ, not in the world, while
appearing as form, and what I
would say is forms, all of us.
There's only One Christ
and there's all of us.
We are the reflection of the Divine when
we Know we are Christ.
And then as he continued it, "As

(20:24):
therefore the tears are gathered and
burned in the fire, so shall
it be in the end of this world."
He also said the same thing about the
branch that's cut off from the vine, that
when we do not know ourselves to be the
Life of the Divine Principle, we are a

(20:46):
separate self out of Divine consciousness
and we are subject to material law, the
belief in two powers, and we seem to die.
But for those of us that want to Know the
Truth, then we are going to have to
separate from being individualized by the

(21:10):
world mind and rejoin with the invisible,
intangible, Divine Omnipresence.
And that's a process
with an evidence procedure.
We have a passage here from Herb Fitch,
"Realization of Oneness,
Class 6B," and I'll read it.
"Where are all these evils

(21:30):
in our false sense of self?
Do you see how they're nothing more than
just a garment we wear?
The only place you exist
is in your consciousness.
The only place the world
exists is in your consciousness.
Everything in the world, including your
human self, exists in your consciousness,
and that consciousness not living in I

(21:51):
Christ is a separated consciousness and
nothing in it is real, nothing.
Only when it is Oned with the Father,
through I Christ in you, does your
consciousness reveal Reality.
And then you step out of the garment in
which all of the evils are because
they're only a part of the

(22:11):
fabric of our mortal sense.
You don't have to get rid of them.
You have to be what you are." End of the quote.
Swami your thoughts.
Yeah, I really like what he said here.
"Oned with the Father,
through I Christ in you."
Human thought is duality,

(22:32):
two-ness, and can't be One.
Here's the first clue to stop thinking
with the mortal mind and learn what
Christ is and how to induce the birth of
Christ in consciousness.
And then we have from Mary Baker Eddy,
"Resolve things into thoughts," and "you

(22:55):
can't put an Infinite
Mind in a finite form."
And then let's take a
clue from Jesus, "Rise."
So how do you convert a physical form
into a mental image that is capable of
receiving Divine Revelation?

(23:16):
For me, the answer has always been the
man, the bull, the lion, and the eagle
have this larger sense of
Self above corporeal sense.
It's going to be before thought.
And Mary Baker Eddy also said, "Having a
proper sense of the Infinite and to
educate thought up to

(23:38):
Spiritual apprehension."
Once you have this mental landscape and
you understand the body of Christ is
above this physical existence, rise into
this larger sense of self, one body.
There's only One God and One Son.

(23:59):
And the way Herb framed that for us, we
are Christ, not in the world.
So you rise into seven personal planets,
twelve signs of the zodiac.
This is my body.
While appearing as all of these forms,

(24:20):
you can have the one image with an
infinite number of reflections.
Just like there is One Son with an
infinite number of rays, now you have a
mental landscape that will support the
Divine idea of One Being,
One Life, everywhere, always,

(24:41):
appearing as form on the planet.
Now you can tell the truth about the
Truth and the truth about the lie.
There's no Life, Truth, intelligence, or
substance in the reflection.
Everything is in the original.

(25:01):
It is in the substance of
the True Self, the One Self.
So Swami, what is the how-to to induce
this birth of Christ in consciousness?
Right.
The physical body, though it is a mental
image, must be born again of Spirit.

(25:22):
We literally have to purify the physical
form, purify the mental, the astral body,
and then internalize the invisible,
intangible Divine Omnipresence as your
symbol for validation.
This was part of born of
woman becomes born of man.

(25:44):
When we graduate from being instinctual,
reactive, emotional to intelligent.
If we don't have this reunion with the
Divine, the physical body
comes in with a pattern.
It looks for food,
mother, approval for validation.
And we have to change that symbol.

(26:05):
internalize it, change the
reward circuits in the brain so that you
now quote unquote
"Love God" and not mammon.
You now sow to the
Spirit and not the flesh.
If your body is looking for something
visible and tangible and you have not

(26:25):
mastered the mind-body complex,
then you will continue to be longing for
something visible and tangible.
And the body, though it is a mental
image, has all the power of preservation
and survival until it
is won with the Father.

(26:47):
And then like Herb said,
through I Christ in you.
So there's preparation
that has to be in place.
All your ducks have to be in alignment.
This rebirthing of the physical body in
the invisible, intangible Divine
Omnipresence is your preliminary stage.

(27:08):
You need the birth of
Christ in consciousness.
And when matter and mind come together
with Spirit, this is what impregnates the
seed of consciousness.
Without it we remain in this
underdeveloped state.
We continue to work with the mind that
can't bring forth the Divine image.

(27:31):
So Swami, the title of this R.E.M. song
is called "The End of
the World as I Know It."
And then later it says, "The End of the
World as I Know It and I Feel Fine."
What are your thoughts about that title?
Well, in context of what we're talking
about here, "The End of the World" simply
means it's the end of world-mind

(27:53):
functioning in us as corporeal sense.
Which is not going to be a bad thing
because like we said, we're going to be
getting out of the cycle of death and
rebirth, out from under the law of karma,
driven by the belief in two powers, and
we will now be under the

(28:15):
protection of Divine Law.
The Law of Absolute Goodness,
Eternal Life without opposite, it's
definitely an upgrade, but it is met with
the utmost resistance simply because fear
is such a prominent obstruction today

(28:38):
because our identity is
all bound up in the form.
We think we're a finite
mortal being with needs,
and so we react to the testimony of the
corporeal senses, but once we Know the
Truth and we rest in the knowledge that I

(28:59):
am an Eternal Spiritual Being, I am the
reflection of an
indestructible Principle,
and so there's no fear anymore, but
there's no personal sense of self.
All the Father has is mine.
