If you’ve ever heard the phrase “TGIF!” or “I am so looking forward to the week being over,” then you might know about this societal norm. In our FIRST EVER episode, we tackle what “living for the weekend” is, why it sucks, and how to combat it.

If you are TGIF-ing, you may be missing out on opportunities to learn, grow, and develop during the week. Here are some tips for breaking free from living for the weekend:

  • Get up earlier and set daily intentions
  • Find meaning in your work: Find your friends, ask for that project, & advocate for yourself
  • Get enough sleep ALWAYS, weekend or week day. No excuses!
  • Don’t normalize living for the weekend! Just don’t fall for it.
