Once upon a time, we had a mothering series that we loved soooo much, we had to *kinda* bring it back.

If you listened to that series (or you've just been around for a while!) you know already that there's a lot we wanted for ourselves from our mothers that we couldn't get, for different reasons. There's a lot lying beneath the surface when it comes to our reasonings for choosing not to have kids, or to wait til later, or to adopt. A lot of pain, a lot of fear, a lot of confusion, and quite honestly? A lot of disinterest in several of the things that come with carrying a child and raising one.

Episode 129 delves into a few more unfiltered truths of the mothering wound – those lasting impressions etched by our mothers, whether born from absence, emotional detachment, or unresolved yearnings  – and how it can affect your choice as an adult to go down the path of being a mother yourself.

What happens when you start to rethink motherhood? Is there a cut off? When is it too late?

Who was your mother before she was your mother? And what if you never get to find out?

The time period we're both in right now (late 20's) is so heavily marked by the yearning for autonomy and the societal expectations surrounding embracing parenthood. When is society going to celebrate the choice to NOT have a baby?
What if the key to you changing your mind lies in pressing a little harder on the bruise to see what caused it?
