In this episode I share my thoughts about how having a productive and safe space growing up would be super helpful if things like SA happens. I share how I feel about my parents in this area and how I approached coming out to them was because I wanted to live, but not because they created a safe space for me. The point I am trying to relay here is to prepare or check yourself as a parent and create a safe space so god forbid if this ever happens to your child that they are comfortable and feeling you are a safe space for them to go to. We can't keep our eye on them 24/7 and we can't prevent everything harmful from happening, but we can be here for them sooner than later or it's too late even if things like this does happen. I hope this brings awareness. As a CSA survivor myself, I believe if my parents created a productive and safe space for me, a lot of this could've been prevented and I could've started my healing way sooner.
