2025年3月，特朗普签署行政令，美国之音（VOA）与自由亚洲电台（RFA）停摆、裁员，众多记者骤然失业。这是“不明白播客”系列节目《我与敌台的故事》的第三期。前两期中，许成钢教授和四位年轻人讲述了这些“敌台”如何影响了他们的职业与人生。
这一期，我们请来《歪脑》主编Alex和为美国之音撰稿的香港记者Kris郑乐捷，回顾这场危机如何影响了他们的个人与团队。他们谈到了未完成的纪录片、被中止的专题、被迫暂停的合作，也谈到了新闻作为一种“召唤”而非“选择”的职业感。
节目也试图回应一些更大的问题：依靠国会拨款的新闻机构，真的能保持独立性吗？对于一些仍愿意用中文写作、记录、报道的年轻记者来说，还有没有继续写下去的空间？
