On this week's Cut to the Race podcast, Oli hosts the Qatar Grand Prix race review and is joined by Abby and Sam to delve into the weekend action as well as doing a Max Verstappen special of the FormulaNerds quiz.
The Qatar Grand Prix weekend saw a lot of drama on and off the track with it being a challenging Grand Prix and the fourth Sprint weekend of the season. With lots of sessions to dissect, the panel begin with Free Practice One and the extra 10-minute session, noting Lance Stroll's actions that caused quite the conversation on social media.
The trio go through what happened on Sprint Saturday and the key takeaways, including Oscar Piastri's stellar performance and first race win as well as the incident that saw Sergio Perez retire from the Sprint Race.
The panel then discuss Friday's Qualifying, which saw struggles from Carlos Sainz, a clear disparity between the Red Bull drivers and a lot of track limit infringements. They also touch on the top three being decided after the race.
Next up, Oli, Abby and Sam review what actually happened during the Grand Prix. The trio dissect the incident between the Mercedes drivers, McLaren's performance and also the dangerous conditions, which had serious consequences for the drivers.
