It is going to be a packed day today.
We have lots to talk about,so let's get right to it.

(03:03):
And just as a rundownof what we're going to do,
well, we're going to take another closer
look at the brand new quiltingthrough the seasons.
That is going to be officially releasednext Wednesday, the 21st.
So I'll show you another portion of that.
I'm also going to show and share with you
the new tote bagthat coordinates with that.

(03:26):
Remember this?
boy. I teased it yesterday.
And this bag is full of some fun stufffor a really special giveaway.
I'm also going to introduce you
to two really cool guys at Kimberbell.
You might call them Kimber Fellas
Indeed.
And you may recognize themfrom a recent video.

(03:48):
You're going to be meetingRyan and Robert.
So that's going to be fun as well.
Just lots of things to talk about today.
I can't wait to share it all with you.
All right.
To get started, let's go ahead and do a little recap reel
on something I talked about on last week'sWhat's New Wednesday.
You know, we like to take a look backand see what was talked about

(04:11):
in case you missed it.
And if you missed it,you want to see the full version of it.
We'll be sureto let you know how to find that.
You can always find it on our Facebookpage or on our YouTube channel.
But we talked about the brand new
Happy Placeembroidery project from Kimberbell.
This just got released.

(04:32):
And if you want a little breakfrom just quilting or
embroidery, well, now you're going to havea little bit of embroidery
along with a special projectwe like to call the rope bowl.
So here's alook at what I talked about last week.
Happy PlaceEmbroidery projects from Kimberbell.
There are six different designs.

(04:52):
The Wow In all of this are the rope bowlsthemselves.
It's clean, it's crisp. No puckering.
Give it a whirl.
Once you have one done,
you're going to be like, okay, I get itnow you're going to be cranking them out.
It's important for us to haveeveryone feel successful, no matter
how new you are to machine embroideryand no matter what machine you have.

(05:15):
And we cannot waitto see what you're making.
Aren't those gorgeous?
my gosh, I'm so excited.
It's been really funto see what you have already started
making with these rope bowlsand how much fun you're having with them.
The possibilities truly are endless.

(05:36):
And I got to to interviewa couple of our product development
ladies last week,Rachel and Vicki, about those rope bowls
and what it took to get them to be done.
The Kimberbell way, I should say,And it was pretty phenomenal.
So I invite you to check outthat interview from last week.

(05:57):
But if you have already startedmaking them,
I would love to hear in the comments.
What do you think?
What are your thoughts?
Have you have you tried it yet?
Have you given it a whirl?
I know a lot of peopleare very excited to try them.
And if you have let us knowwhat your experience was like.
It truly is unlike any other rope bowlyou've done before,

(06:20):
and it's through our awesome teamthat made that happen.
I'm really, really excited.
All right.
So that leads me into
sew & tell here with Kimberbell, because we are going to show off
a few of the ones that you guys have madeso far.
Brenda here says she's excitedto try them. Yep.

(06:42):
And Sherri says she made one last weekand thoroughly enjoyed it.
In fact, Sherri, I think I'm going to beshowing one of yours today.
So let's look at a little bit ofSew & Tell l with Kimberbell will go on next.
All righty.

(07:02):
So it looks like let mesee here, let me pull these up.
All right.
So it looks like hi, my friend Carolyn.
She says my first Kimberbell designsrope bowl.
She chose to do my sewing.
Space is my happy place.
And as you can see there, she did the base which is darling in
and of itself.

(07:23):
She added on that rope with the Kimberbellmethod of doing that.
And then look at her little sideembellishment there with the wood
floral button.
Of course, that's in the embellishment kit.
But one of the things we talked about lastweek was how amazing the underside is.
The backside. Yes, indeed.

(07:45):
It looks beautifulfrom the front to the back.
And it's because of this technique
with that envelope closurethat covers up all your stitching.
And it is stableand gorgeous in every way.
Thank you, Carolyn, for sharing your experience.
Let's see a few others.
This one comes from Jody.
She says she finished herfirst rope bowl using the Kimberbell CD.

(08:06):
And isn't that gorgeous?
Love all the different possibilitieswith the fabric wrapped around the rope.
I like how you did yours across the top.
Very, very nice edge.
And Sydney, she says this is herfirst attempt to the Kimberbell rope bowl.
And I love how she shows the frontto the back.
It's beautiful in every way.

(08:26):
Got to love that little birdie.
And you can see one of the way she choseto finish it was with the fabric.
Just a little bit inside more towardsthe middle of that rope bowl, lots of possibilities.
And then, of course, that DarleneLeather tack.
All right.
And then finally, Sherri, she says, all done.
The embellishments are top notch.

(08:47):
She says that she needs to
figure out how to keep a good shapeand be consistent with stitching.
But she loves it. And I love it, too.
Sherri, look how beautiful that turned out.
And I love the gorgeous appliquéthat's on it.
And because of the methodwe used at Kimberbell for this,
it really doesn't matterwhat stitch density you have

(09:10):
that you canyou can do appliques, you can do
fill designs, all kinds of thingswithout a whole lot of limits.
And it's going to look really sharpand crisp every time.
This is what you're looking forwherever Kimberbell products are sold
online or in stores, and this is calledHappy Place embroidery projects.
And like I said, the real wow of that

(09:32):
are definitely the rope bowls in that.
All right. Because it's Valentine's Day.
I wanted to give you one last reminder
that the February 14th design for the Savethe Date Pillows,
it's a virtual to downloaddigital download and it's free for you.
So sending all her love out to you,the Bellas and Fellas out there

(09:54):
with this free design, just like Jamie made here,
she says she loved the patternand she changed hers up a little bit
instead of itmaking it as an attachment to a pillow.
She actually made it
into the full pillow itself, and it could not be more darling
Jeanie, thank youfor sharing your rendition of that.

(10:15):
And then I love this idea from Karen.
She said, So fun to make.
Can't wait to gift them at a shower.
So as you can see there, we've got thesave the date pillow panels
that are available for all of thespecial holidays throughout the year.
She had a fantastic idea to make this for.

(10:37):
It probably sounds like a bridal shower.
What a great way to decorate a home.
And those are interchangeable panels.
You can download thosefor a very minimal cost.
at Kimberbell.com. We’ll put the link in the notes here.
But the February 14thone that is free for you.
So happy Valentine's Day, my friends.

(10:58):
All right.
So today we're going to start out
by talking a little bitmore about quilting through the seasons.
You know, this is a new product that isbeing officially launched next week,
but we have many, many shops out therewho are on our auto Sit program.
And for them, it gets released today.

(11:18):
So the idea, of course, is, you know whatit is, We've been talking about it
the past few weeks here at Kimberbell, but you make the face of it just one time.
isn’t that beautiful?
And then you change out the differentelements for the different seasons.
So it's really fantastic.

(11:39):
These ones have four seasonsto change out.
It's awesome.
I love the sizing of this.
It's a 20 by 60 inch quiltbecause it's going to fit perfectly
either on a ladderor on a doorway or in a hallway.
Just that little area.
You want a little extrasomething special for to fit a quilt in.

(11:59):
You could probably do it with this quilt.
In fact, for me, I'm going to be hanging
mine up on this gray wallin my sewing room.
I can't wait to have it all finished.
And then to show you.
So the last few weeks we've been talkingabout the interchangeable
elements, the design aspect of this.
But I thought, would I start out today with

(12:21):
is showing you actually an animated videothat our team put together
as you watchthis video it’s going to go down.
You know, vertically to see
how the elements change out.
Let's take a look at thatand then I'm going to show you
another section of that quiltas we get excited

(12:42):
for the launch, the official launchnext week of quilting through the seasons.
Let's take a look at that video.

(13:25):
Debbie said in that comment.
This sounds like so much fun. And Debbie.
Oh is it ever? I got to make one myselfthrough this process.
And boy, every time I went to do a new element,
a new section of the quilt,I literally just squealed.
I was so excited about this.
This is a must have quilt in your home.

(13:49):
It's beautiful in every way.
But more importantly than that,or maybe just as important,
because we want all the beautybeautiful right in our lives
is that you are learning new techniques, you are learning new ways
of using that embroidery machinethat you invested in.
Think about that.
We don't want to just buyan embroidery machine only to do

(14:11):
the minimum, only to do maybe a monogram, which is amazing.
But what else can we do with thatembroidery machine?
Take the time to make somethingabsolutely stunning for your home
and an item that you can truly step away
from look at and be so very proud of.
I'm telling you, you certainly will be.

(14:34):
And when each season comes along, you're going to be like,
I can't wait to change itfor the next season.
So let me show youwhat the book looks like.
This is your first look at the actual fullcolor instructional book,
my friend.
This is this is a beauty to behold.
It's 156 pages of goodness,

(14:57):
but the reason is because everything is so
well laid out step by step instructions.
You know, you cannot go wrong when youfollow step by step with Kimberbell.
It's really like having your best friendsitting next to you.
I'll be your best friend. How about that? Right.

(15:18):
We're sitting right next to you.
Say, now, do this, now, do this, now, do this.
So if you are a beginner, I believe
I absolutely know that you can do this.
But we've laid outevery single step for you.
I'm so excited for thisto get in your hands.
All right.

(15:39):
So this is the full color instruction bookthat you'll receive.
And when you think about it,
there's a whole lot of designs in this.
In fact, next week on What'sNew Wednesday, I'm going to tell you
exactly how many design files there were.
You're not going to believe it.
It's really phenomenal. Okay.

(15:59):
Now, in addition to the bookyou might be interested in,
I think you will, the embellishment kit.
Okay.
Yes, there is an embellishment kitfor quilting through the seasons
if you've ever purchased and embellishmentkit from Kimberbell
tell us in the commentswhy it's also a must have thing.

(16:20):
Because look at all of this stuff
packed in thisThis is all the extra goodness
that makes a Kimberbellquilt really shine.
We're talking the buttons, the even a little bit of stuffing.
That's in there for for some funelements of their
the mylar, the cork, the felt, the glitter, the

(16:44):
I, I mean you name it, it's all there.
The hook and loop tape, otherwise known as Velcro.
All of that stuff is included in this.
And if you had to go to a to a storeand find all of these things separately,
it would cost you a whole lot of moneyand a whole lot of time.
And maybe a little bit of frustrationtrying to track it all down

(17:08):
Kimberbell’s
Got it done All for you arekitting team at Kimber-
Kimberbellhas put this together for you.
You're going to wantthe embellishment kit.
Let's see what you are saying about it.
Maggie says it's all at your fingertips.
Yep, absolutely.
Tina says Love all the embellishment kitsyou make for all your kids.

(17:30):
Yeah, it's really nicenot to have to hunt it all down right?
Beth says.
Love having it all there
without having to try and find everythingI can see faster.
Yeah, absolutely.
I couldn't agree with you guys more.
You're loving those embellishment kits.
We'll keep doing thembecause they really are an important

(17:50):
part of any Kimberbell,
Wow. Of a project for.
For sure.
So that is an option, but it's something that you might want
to take a closer look intoand getting as well.
Now I want to show you a little clip
about a little bitmore about that embellishment kit

(18:12):
to the tune of one of my favoriteall time songs.
It just makes me happy.
I think it'll make you happyand smile, too.
Let's take a look.
These are a few of my favorite things.
So girls in white dresses with blue
satin sashes, snowflakesthat stay on my nose and eyelashes,
silver, white wintersthat melt into springs.

(18:35):
These are a few of my favorite things.
When the dog bites, when the bee stings,When I see feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things.
And then I don’t feel
so bad.

(19:03):
Cindy, You're welcome.
Can't get the song out of my mindright now.
Yeah, same here.
You'll be singing it all.
Sorry.
You're going to be singing it all daylong,
and it's going to make you so very happythinking about quilting
through the seasons coming your way.
All right,so that's the embellishment kit.
We saw the book.

(19:24):
Did you see the tote in that video? yes.
There's also a tote
that's availablethat matches the quilt. Are you kidding me?
Okay.
You know, from a few weeks ago,
I showed you one of my favorite blocksfrom the quilt, and it said this.
Let me pull this up here.

(19:46):
here it is.
I'm going to make everything around mebeautiful, and that will be my life.
Well, we took that quote
and made a bag with it, and everyone'sgoing to want this bag.
Isn't that gorgeous? It says Kimberbell
You'vegot the nice little logo on the side.
But then look at this other sideas a nod to the quilt.

(20:11):
Here we go.
And as you see in those frames,
those are various elementsfrom our embroidery world
as well as some of the few elementsthat are from the quilt as well.
But you know, what happened yesterday?
If you are on KimberBellas and Fellas Page, you know that
I made a little shopping tripin the Kimberbell warehouse.

(20:35):
Let me pull up some images here, and I took this bag with me
along for the ridebecause I wanted to fill it
with all kinds of fun stuffto give away today.
You know, we always do a giveawayat the end of these shows.
Well, today is the epic giveaway
that we doabout once a year, once or twice a year.

(20:55):
my gosh, DidI have fun in the warehouse or what?
I filled this bag full of goodness
for one of youlucky people out there. Oh yes.
You're not going to believeit is packed to the brim
and someone is going to win this today, but not quite yet.

(21:18):
All right.
That's your little teaser to stay with metill the end of the show,
because then I will show you how easy it'sgoing to be to enter that giveaway.
Can't wait to show youall the good stuff in it.
All right.
So that's a little teaser for you.
Let's get back to thethat the quilt itself and a new section

(21:41):
to show you over the last few weeksI've showed you different
sections at a timeand how they interchange.
Well, today
we're going to talk about the little quiltblocks that interchange on there.
And let me show you a few imagesand then I'll show you the actual ones.
Here we go. All right.
So we've got this Kimber Bella hereswitching out a little quilt panel

(22:05):
block for the different seasons, and this is for the fall.
And so here we go.
Are you ready?
Look at thatand notice the little buttons.
That makes it really simple to switch out.
And there
we've got an image that says,Hello, pumpkin.
Here it is.

(22:25):
Look how darling that is.
It has some of our Kimberbell flexifoam behind that to give it some poof.
Gorgeous quilting all around.
And then the button holes.
The button holes my friends right there.
Done on your embroidery machine.
Don't be nervous about button holes.
We've gotyou covered in a very simple step.

(22:50):
You're going to love it.
And then this goes right above itand this goes right below it.
And it inner changesfor the different seasons.
Look, that was a look at fall.
Let's look at, you know, summer comes around and there we go.
Here she is, interchanging it outwith the little buttons.
Of course, all that's in your embellishment kit.

(23:11):
But look at the lemons and strawberries.
Hello, Summer.
You remember a few weeks ago,I showed the lemon and berry
Wreath that's interchangeable on this quilt
Well it's got to all coordinate. Right.
And how adorable is thatlittle basket of lemons and strawberries?
You're evenpiecing these borders in the hoop.

(23:35):
Do you see the little strawberryquilting around the edge?
Absolutely, darling.
And then we've got a hello summer to.
To just button up right below it.
All right, How about let's go to
winter, shall we?
Here we go. no, that's spring.
Well, let's go to spring.

(23:56):
Here's spring beans swapped out.
There we go.
We've got the darling little quilt block there.
And let me show it to you in person.
Here it is.
Isn't that cute?
Can you think of other. Here we go.

(24:16):
Can you think of other ways to use eventhis little portion of the main quote?
Can you think of other ways to use it?
I'm seeing pillows immediatelyin my future
with just these little quilt blocks.
I think they're absolutely darling.
And then finally, let's take a look at the winter version.

(24:38):
it's the ice skates.
Here we go.
And snow place like home.
All right, look at these ice
skates with the little lacesin the embellishment kit that are
are put on to there.
I mean, everything is just dimensionaland fun and unique.

(24:59):
And the wow factor, right?
That's what we do. Snow place like home.
So lots lots of
special little elements with this quilt.
But again, you're learning new techniques, new techniques you can be proud of
every time you go to stitch it now.

(25:20):
The next thingI wanted to share real quick
is that the background quilting againalso an option.
Okay.
But if you want to take your quiltthis quilt to the finish line
instead of having to longarm it yourself or try to do

(25:40):
your own quilting on
your sewing machine, there's so many special elements
to this background quiltingthat coordinate.
You're going to want to do the backgroundquilting.
And again, because you invested in in thatembroidery machine, why not do it all?
So there is a an optional backgroundquilting bundle going on sale right now

(26:04):
for 25% off, 25% offuntil the middle of March.
Let's take a closerlook at some of those designs.
Wow, wow, wow.
And wow.
And can you picture using these designs onso many more projects?

(26:24):
I wanted to give you a closerlook real quick
at the individual blocksthat are on this quilt that haven't been
put into the quilt yet so that you can see
how gorgeous that background quilting is.
Isn't it stunning?
All right, House, let's
this is that wreath block.

(26:44):
Remember, the interchangeableelements on here are those florals
that get placed onwith your hook and loop tape
but let's look at that backgroundquilting of the leaves.
Absolutely gorgeous.
How about this landscape image right here?
I love that in the photo framewe showed this last week.

(27:07):
So take a look at last week'sWhat's new Wednesday.
But look at thatstunning background quilting.
They made it look like wallpaper.
Beautiful.
I absolutely love this.
I can see just even this block alonebeing framed.
Can't you
Love it all.

(27:27):
So check it out when you get a chance.
It's on sale for 25% off right now.
So now's the time to buy.
All right. Okay. So you know
who's excited about
Quilting through the seasons? Alice,
She says O-M-G, every block is so cute.

(27:49):
I agree Alice. It certainly is, isn't it?
And, wow, it it just it gets me excitedabout the possibilities, doesn't it?
For you, too?
I'm thrilled to to be able to sharethis all in.
It's entirely next weekon what's new Wednesday.
Can't wait.
Okay.

(28:09):
Yet Suzanne, she says love the background quilting.
Yes, it is stunning.
yeah, definitely.
And if you've ever used the KimberBell background quilting before
and there are methods for backgroundquilting, you're going to know
how truly easy it isand how it just finishes things off so beautifully.

(28:29):
All right, everyone. Well,
we're going to switch gearsa little bit here
from talkingabout quilting through the seasons.
You know, we're all sewers,
quilters, embroiderers.
And here at Kimberbell, besides talking about
just what's newand what's coming out in stores,

(28:50):
we often like to share thingsthat I would say are relatable, right?
We might often call it hashtag.
Hashtag relatable, because when we see something or see
something funny out there that has to dowith the hobby that we all know and love,
we go, my gosh, that's me.

(29:10):
That's me.
Or I know someone thatthat applies to, right?
We often call them memes sometimes or reels.
And so our Kimberbell team, they
our marketing team, they put together a couple reels recently
where they, they wanted,
you know, to share people from Kimberbell

(29:32):
talking about thingsthat we can all relate to right.
So they did that recently with two reels.
You may remember them.
They're on Facebookand YouTube and Instagram.
I wanted to share with youa couple of them today
so we can all get a good chuckle out of itand then introduce you

(29:52):
to two of the Kimber Fellas
that also participated in these reels.
Let me show you first
the first one that I think we can
relate to, and it's calledWe Are Quilters.
And my friends and colleaguesat Kimberbell,
Aaron and Vickie, they're on our product development team.

(30:14):
They were the ones that starred in this
little episode of We Are Quilters.
Let me know in the commentsif you can relate.
Let's take a look. We're quilters.
We watch what's new Wednesdayand inside the hoop. We're quilters.
Of course we have hoop envy. We're quilters.
If you use our scissors to cut paper,we will find you and you will be sorry.

(30:37):
We're quilters
and no, we don't have too many benchpillows.
We're quilters.
Of course we use CBT’s
to BGQ all of
Our UFO’s
We're quilters.
We can stitch faster than you can drive.

(31:03):
Yep. Absolutely.
Sandy says don't use my scissors.
Oh yeah.
So yes,we absolutely can relate to that can't we.
It's a good thing.
We're all in this together.
But on the heels of that one

(31:23):
That came out, we are quilters,
our clever marketing teamcame up with another spin on it,
another take on this called We Are Married
to quilters and boy, was it relatable.
Let me tell you
I think we have almost

(31:43):
a thousand shareson this video on Facebook.
If we're not quite to a thousand, what I would ask today
is that for you to find that reelon our Facebook page and share it,
because I've told my kids, look, guys, dad is about to go viral.
But yes, my husband Ryan is in this

(32:05):
as well as a really awesome other guy.
Robert, I'm going to introduceyou here to them in a minute.
I'm just laughing at your comments.
Joanne says, I love this one, Kay, but
let me show it to you and then we're goingto we're going to talk about it.
Here we go.

(32:26):
We’re married to quilters, on the weekend.
We make multiple trips to the quilt shop.
We're married to quilters.
Of course, if it can be quilted, she's going to quilt it.
We're married to quilters.
We've been waiting for three yearsto get our pants hemmed.
We're married two quarters. Of course.
We know all the right responses.
Oh that's so cute.
I love your fabric choices.
We're married to quilters.

(32:46):
We know better than to askhow much something costs.
We're married to quilters.
We don't know what stabilizer is, but weknow you need it, and it makes you happy.
Okay, You guys are all
laughing about this because, you know you saw it probably, right?
I'm telling you,I saw it for the first time.

(33:06):
When you saw it for the first time.
In fact, Ryan didn'teven tell me that he made this real.
And all of a sudden, I'm looking on,you know, Facebook
and I see my husband pop upand I busted a gut.
I laughed so hard because the whole idealike we've been waiting
three years for our pants to be hemmedcould not be more accurate, my friends.

(33:32):
So with that being said, please help me welcome
two of the original Kimber
Fellas to the show today.
Everyone say hello.
To Ryan and Robert.
Hi guys. Hey Kim.
How are you?

(33:53):
We're doing good.
Doing good? Doing great.
Yeah. I'm happy to be here. Happy to be onwhat's new Wednesday.
Yeah, definitely.
It's almost like a beard and a mustache.
Must be like the protocol for Kimberbell, right?
It's part of the interview process.
That's right.
You two look like brothers.

(34:14):
my gosh.
Well, I know that if you've been with usfor a long time, you know that
Ryan's my husbandand he's also the CEO of Kimberbell.
So grateful for that.
And Robert is our COO, which is the chiefoperating officer at Kimberbell.
And togetherthey make a lot of amazing things

(34:34):
happen at Kimberbell.
And it's really nice to have themworking behind the scenes.
So that myself and others can work onmore of the creative side, would you say?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You guys make
yeah,

(34:55):
That’s right
We just make sure that there's moneyin the bank at the end of it all.
That's right.
That's right.
Well, thanks for all that you do, guys.
Why don't you go ahead and just telltell everyone a little bit about yourself.
Maybe an interesting fact or two Ryan.
Go ahead and start.
Well, yeah, as Kim mentioned,

(35:15):
I mean, we've been married,what, 27 years?
Something like that.
Yeah.
Coming up on 28,we started the company 15 or so years ago.
And so that's what we do.
And I always kind of taking care
of the business side of thingsand Kim’s done all the creative stuff.
And we make a great teamand yeah, it's been been a heck of a ride.

(35:38):
I've learned to really love quiltingand quilters and machine embroidery
and this whole industry. So it's awesome.
Yeah, definitely.
You know, there's an interesting factthat I want to bring up with you, Ryan,
because I think all of our
viewers out there could probably relate
to finding a new hobbypossibly during the pandemic.

(35:59):
Why don't you tell what you do? You do?
yeah. Okay.
Well, I mean, I'd always wanted I'm,you know, took piano and guitar
lessons as a kid, but what I reallyalways wanted to do was play the drums
and so mean, I just never did.
But then during yeah, during COVID,I decided, hey, I'm going to go for it.
So I found a drum
set online that somebody was sellingand bought it and brought it home

(36:22):
and took some classes online from a guywho was it could have been my child
and learn how to play the drumsa little bit.
So now I just use itas a stress reliever.
Go down and pound out when? When I want to.
Yeah, yeah, I can attest to that.
I'm really proud of you, Ryan, for taking up taking on that because,

(36:43):
yeah, as a almost 50 yearold at the time, now you're past that.
But you know I mean that's that's
there's a lot to be saidabout learning something new. Yeah
something creative certainly
might not be machine embroidery, but learning the drums is pretty cool.
So, hey, you're never too old to learn something,
something new and fun to do, right?Absolutely.

(37:05):
100% agree thanks Ry. Robert Tell.
Tell everyone a little bit about you.
Hey, Kim.
Well, my name is Robert.
I've been with Kimberbellfor almost five years now.
And something interesting about me isI have six kids ages 4 to 14.
So they keep me and my wife very busyall of the time.
Oh yeah.
And then I actually have anundergrad degree in agriculture studies.

(37:30):
So being in the quilting industry wasn't ever
a long term goal, but I found myself here and now I love it.
Yeah.
Six kids, my friends, six kids.
And they are.
The cutest kids and so well-behaved,aren't they, Robert?
Oh all the time, without exception.

(37:51):
I love those kids.
I've gotten to know themover the years as well, and they're just
they're just as sweet as can be.
You and Morgan are great,
Great parents to them.
You know, I think about that reelhow funny it is, how relatable it is.
But, you know,if there was an extra five minute

(38:11):
rendition of a reel like that,we're married.
to quilters. Is there anything elseyou would add to that? Ryan?
Well, judging from the comments,I don't think we mentioned
the obvious one, which is stay awayfrom the scissors, right?
I mean, it doesn't matter.
You've got to open that boxor you need to cut the thing.
You know, Don't touch momma's sewingscissors.

(38:34):
Yeah. Stay away from them.
Okay.
Robert, how about you?
A few come to mind, but I thinkI would say we're married to quilters.
Of course, we know you cannever have too much fabric.
no such thing.
Don't even question it.
Absolutely agree with that.
I think we could go on and on and onabout we’re married to quilters for sure.

(38:56):
What's interesting, though, Robert,
is that you have become quite a quilteryourself.
Your wife machine embroideredbefore you came to Kimberbell, right?
A little bit, yeah. A little bit.
And since you coming to Kimberbelland learning
about this awesome hobby, you've also delved into it.
Do you want to tell us a little bitabout you and your wife and what maybe

(39:18):
some of the fun things you've embroideredtogether have been? Yes.
So my wife actually hada combination machine with a 4x4 hoop,
and she would make all the niecesand nephews a baby blanket and then
like a monogrammed with their nameor initials or whatever on it.
So that's kind ofthe extent of our use of a embroidery machine.

(39:38):
And mine was a lot of watchingI just kind of watched what she did.
Yeah, but then I came to work here
in product development one day, I helped outand made a in the hoop project
and it just like blew my mindat the end
I had this projectthat was complete on the hoop.
First time ever being on the machine aloneand was able to make the project

(40:00):
from start to finish.
And so shortly thereafterwe upgraded our machine
and got set to use a bigger hoop andwe’ve just been doing a lot of project since.
So we have four daughtersand four of our six.
Our girls are
one after another.
And so we do a lot of cross body
bags, a lot of the stuffies and stuffthat are in the hoop.

(40:23):
And then of course, aswe started to make our first quilts,
we were able to finish the quilt, with the clear blue tiles on an embroidery machine.
Yay!
I love that! That’s awesome.
That is so awesome to hear.
You know, one of my favorite memories of you
Robert is one of the nightswe had a companywide.

(40:46):
sew night we we try to do that
a few times a year, maybe at least once a quarter
and people can comefrom all different departments
and embroiderin the product development lab.
And I remember when you brought one ofyour daughters, it was the sweetest thing.
Do you want to tell usabout that experience?
Yeah, that was early on in working here,in my experience, machining embroidering.

(41:10):
So I took one of my daughtersa lot of times we’ll do
like a daddy daughter date.
And so it was Livvy’s turn, I believe.
Yeah, and I
took her to sew night, so she
picked out some fabric and we showed upnot really knowing what to expect.
And then with the help from the ladiesin product development, our coworkers,

(41:32):
we left that night with a cross-body bag
and she was so excited to be able to help make it.
Was she just so proud wearing it?
The next day. Oh yeah
And we can go and taking it to bedwith her, you name it.
And she's so funny because Livvywe actually her nickname is Mogely
because she's kind of feral, you know
before she was in school, she always had ,you know, the unkempt hair

(41:56):
and running around in raggedy clothesno matter what.
And so she took that body crossbody bagwith her everywhere.
It went through the dirt, It went to bedwith her, it went through everything.
And she still has it today.
So that is so cool. So Sweet.
I love that.
And the best memory for her thatshe was able to make that with her dad.

(42:18):
I love it. Sandra says,
Where did it go, Sandra?
She says, Can you guys gang upon my husband and get him to embroider?
We’ll do it.
Yeah.
there you go. Turn him into a Kimber Fella.
There you go.
Hey, well, speaking of Kimber Fella, what's that sign behind you, Ryan?

(42:38):
Yeah.
I was awarded this by our employees.
I am the original Kimber Fella.
I like it. Yeah, it's.
I think that they felt bad for meback in the day,
and they decided that I should be dubbedthe Kimber Fella.
And it's a it's a namethat's kind of stuck with me.
It's kind of stuck. Absolutely.

(42:59):
So, you know, Ryan and Robert,I know you guys.
I mean, you've got pretty stressful jobs,to be honest.
I mean, it's not always the fun stuffthat we get to see online.
And then, you know, the beautiful, the fun, the exciting, the charming.

You know, certainly with that goeswithout being said that it's tough.

(43:22):
Right? But Ryan is there like,
do you have somethingthat's the most fun part of your job?
Good question.
Well, I mean, I love being part of a team
with the people here at Kimberbellwho are so passionate about their work
and so passionate about delivering, you know, awesome products to you guys

(43:43):
and to be part of thatand to kind of all work together to pull
it off is super rewarding.
But the other thing that I really loveis every now and then
Kim and I get the opportunityto go out and visit,
you know, shops or go to an eventor some sort of a retreat
and meet with peoplewho are doing Kimberbell projects.

(44:04):
And that's what, I don't know, for me,it really brings it home
and we get to see peoplewho are really experiencing
that joy of creativity, as we love to sayhere and having this amazing experience.
And they'll tell us about
how much what we do is impacted themand they love our products.
It's their happy place. It's their therapy.
You know, they enjoy getting togetherwith other quilters and being in the shop

(44:26):
and going to an event and just seeing,I guess, that positive impact
that we can have onpeople is just extremely rewarding for me.
I love meeting people and hearingabout their Kimberbell experiences.
Yeah, you know, you bring up a good pointRyan there when, you know,
you mentioned about how rewarding it isto see people's experience

(44:47):
with our products and just with the, the,
the idea of learning somethingnew and, and embroidery right.
Or sewing or quilting.
You know based on
you know what you said what we knowwhat our company certainly knows,
we know how important it isfor people to feel that joy, creativity.

(45:08):
After all, it's one of our taglines.
But why don'tyou share just a little bit more insight
as to why that is so important to us and
and why it's so critical
that every product or programwe produce from Kimberbell
that goes out into the world, why we make sure
that that is key in our minds.

(45:31):
Yeah, okay, I could do that.
So I mean, I'msure everybody has seen our tagline
experience the joy of creativity.
But as a company, we have our core focus
and it's kind of combines our our passion, our mission, what we're into.
And for us it is our passion
is to developsuperior machine embroidery experiences

(45:54):
so that people can experience the joy ofcreativity or feel the joy of creativity.
And what we've seen over time
is that there really, truly is a joy
and the light comes into people's liveswhen they're doing something creative.
And it can be a really important partof your day to day life
to have your creative outletand to experience that on a regular basis.

(46:17):
And when you do that, there's a true
feeling that comes along with that, and it's important to us
that we create products and experienceswhere people have that feeling.
And so we talk about, you know, not just being a product
but an actualan experience that you have that you know,
and relate to itIf I do this Kimberbell thing,

(46:38):
whether it's go to an event at a shopor buy the product and take it home
and work on it, or,you know, just whatever it is or,
you know, get a subscription box, whatever it is that you want to do,
you can trust it, that you knowyou're going to have this amazing
experience, that it is an experience
from beginning to end,not just a great project, but
the whole thing is filled with, you know, a positive experience.

(47:00):
You got great instructions.
It's a fun project. You're able to complete it.
There isn't a questionof if I'll be able to do it, but you know,
you will be able to if you put the time inand follow what we've laid out for you.
I don't know, just being able to knowthat, that we're able
to deliver that and have people feelthat is super important to us.
It’s what's what keeps us excited.

(47:21):
And we go back to that regularlywhen we're talking about how we do
business with others, how we interact, the kind of products we deliver.
It's like it's got to beit's got to be the Kimberbell experience.
It has to be,
you know, that something extra that you'rejust not going to get anywhere else.
I love that.
I love that.
It truly is top of mind for uswhenever we meet together

(47:45):
and talk about, you know, moving forwardand you know, what?
What is itthat we're going to offer out there,
those kinds of things that maybe we don't?
You know, I think oftentimes people go,you just threw
you might think, you just threw something.
cute out there,But it's so much more than that.
Right?
And these are conversationsthat are being held

(48:07):
all the time at Kimberbellbecause it truly is that important.
Yeah, I think Robert can attest to that.
He manages now the day to day operationsof the whole company and interacts
with each of the teamsthat are pushing this stuff
through and in products that will bein development for probably over a year.
But I'm sure you've seen that passion inin the teams as you've worked with them.

(48:29):
RobertYeah, to guide everybody through it.
You know as you're talkingand over the last few weeks or so,
it's, it's come to my mindthat I've come from heavy,
heavilyregulated industries like food production.
And so quality is mandatedand it's centered around safety.

(48:51):
And so quality's always on our mind
when you're working in the cheesemanufacturing plant
and you always want to havethe safest products across the board.
And then I come here to Kimberbell, and we have that same level
of dedication to quality, but nobody's telling us we have to
That’s because the team here wants you allto have the best experience possible.

(49:17):
For example, with the rope bowls
you know we see thisbeautiful product it looks great,
and there's a lot that went on behindthe scenes to make sure that that product
worked on every type of machineand that the average user
would be able to follow the instructionsand have a successful product.
And that is reallyjust because we choose to do that.

(49:39):
And that really sticks out to me thatthat would just be part of our culture
and that so many peopleare dedicated to it.
I love that.
I love that. Thank you, guys.
You know, as we wrap up thisthis interview,
which has been so fun.
And by the way, Ryan, happy Valentine's Day.

(49:59):
Happy Valentines Day Kim
love.
You
I think it would be fun for you to share.
Maybe a favorite product from Kimberbell
Either it's a toolor a design set or something.
What stands out in your mind
as something that has been a favoriteof yours over the years?

(50:24):
Robert
well, I mentioned a little bit before,as somebody who's new to quilting
and to machine embroidery,I think it's the clear blue tiles,
you know, So my wife and I,we made a charm pack quilt
and it was just amazing to methat, you know, you get to a certain point
you make your
your quilt top and as a new quilterit's kind of like, okay, now what?

(50:48):
But then to be able to usethe clear blue tiles and to actually
complete the quiltand be one of our first quilts.
We ever made.I think that was really cool.
So I really like those clear blue tilesand background quilting.
Awesomepossibilities are endless, as we say.
Right, Right.
I love that. Ryan, do you have a favorite?

(51:09):
I don't know.
I, I will say that, you know,Kim is is a genius as you guys know.
And she came up with the ideafor these tools.
But I had the the lucky seat
of being ableto watch her from the very beginning.
And I remember both with the orangepop rulers and the clear
blue tiles and even the scissor setsand other things.

(51:32):
Watching her talk about the idea, like,
you know, there really isn't anything like this.
And I don't I couldn't tell what sheI didn't know what she meant.
I'm like, okay, well, and then even with, like the clear
blue tiles, I remember herbeing down in her sewing room
and she was cutting outpieces of plastic in different sizes

(51:52):
and drawing on themand coming up with notes.
And when she was down,
she did the same thingwith the orange pop ruler
she was gluing things togetherand sticking them together.
I'm like, What are you doing?
And she's like,Well, just, I've got an idea here.
I think that there'sI think I could make these things easier.
And, and then it progressedand it moved on

(52:13):
and it got more formalizedand the next thing we know, we're out
looking into manufacturingand production of them and distribution.
And it's just amazing to seeall come together.
And so and then now people are using them
and having they're like, these are amazing.
It's like, wow,you really know what you're talking about.
And so I think that's pretty just, just watching that whole process

(52:33):
come together for me is, is fun.
And same thing
when you're designing thingsand putting things
together, I'll watch her movingthings around and coming up with ideas
and scrapping it alland going back to the drawing board.
And it's a labor of love, but it's awesometo watch the creative process unfold.
Thanks Ry.
I don't know what to say to that, but that is really nice to say.

(52:55):
I will add though, and I know you guyswould both agree that it starts out
with an idea, but it certainly takesthat team behind the scenes.
Right? That makes it happen.
Yeah. Yeah.
I remember when I was doing clearblue tiles
and I brought that idea to the team, but

(53:16):
then it was like, and we could do this, and we could do this, and we could do this.
And then they made that just really grow.
It's pretty awesome.
So I do, I dothank you for, for noting that.
But yeah, it's it's pretty awesome
to see that creative processes isn’t it?No matter where it is in the company.
Yeah well you're pretty awesome Kim.

(53:37):
And all of our and all ofyou Kimber Bellas and Kimber Fellas
who are at home using this stuffand enjoying it, you're awesome, too.
And we love you. Awesome.
Thank you so much, you guys, you're just, you know,
it's fun to
introduce you to people behind the scenes,
and it's especially fun to introduce youto a couple of the Fellas.

(53:59):
We might have to do thisa little bit more often
because there's quite a teamhere, isn't there?
both Bellas and Fellas behind the scenes?
Yep, I love it.
Well, happy Valentine's to you Ry.
Happy Valentine's Day to Robert'swife out there.
Do you want to give her a shout out,Robert, real quick?
Happy Valentines Day Morgan

(54:21):
We’re married to quilters!
We are.
We’re married to quilters right?
All right.

they're a hoot.
A hoot and a holler.
I say, not only are they really smart

(54:46):
businessmen, but
they also have the biggest hearts.
And I think you could probably see thatand feel that through that interview.
they're pretty awesome guys. Good dads.
Good husbands.
