(00:01):
I bet you've never thought about this as a homeowner.
You have thought about getting your home clean,
but you probably haven't thought about the qualities of the person cleaning your home.
But I'll tell you who does Viv and her team over at maid brigade.
Hey,
Viv,
how are you?
I'm doing great.
Thank you for having me,
Jim.
It's great to have you here.
So,
what do you guys look for when you hire a new team member to clean a home?

(00:26):
Well,
we have,
you know,
we have our,
our values,
you know,
which is,
you know,
we look into that when hiring someone,
you know,
we need someone who is,
you know,
of course,
most important,
uh,
trustworthy,
you know,
has empathy is adaptable,
reliable.
Most importantly,
that's more,
very important because you want someone to be here.
But I think,
um,
we're looking for someone that's able to,

(00:47):
you know,
is also able to work with team teamwork.
You know,
we do a lot,
we work in two and three.
So it's very important to,
you have someone that's able to adapt to different teams or different situations in the home.
Um,
when you,
when I say empathy,
you know,
example,
things happen at a home,
someone might be sick,
you know,
teams are aware of that.
So you want someone who is sympathize and realize that some things maybe might be wrong in a home too.

(01:12):
An example,
for example,
I had a customer that fell in a home and the team was really quick to call us and we were able to take care of the customer and call someone to,
to take care of us over and help that client over.
So I think we're looking for that.
Uh,
we're not looking for someone that's just coming in and say,
I'm just looking for a job or what is the job about?
You know,
you don't want someone like that.
You need to know what we're all about.

(01:34):
Yeah.
Made Brigade aren't a bunch of robots.
Um,
they are technically sound meaning they know how to clean the home,
but they're human beings as well,
which is the most important thing.
You want to start with the human being,
someone who has empathy,
someone who cares,
someone who will be there for you,
the customer and then you can always teach them how to clean.
You can't do it the other way.
Right.

(01:54):
Yeah,
exactly.
And then,
you know,
they're there and they're touching so many things.
So we have to make sure,
you know,
we're taking care of,
you know,
the customer's home.
Yeah,
as always,
thank you so much for joining me today on the program.
All of Viv's information is located in the notes section of this podcast.

Viv.
Thank you so much.
