In this episode, Camilla Uppal is joined by Scott Brown, Founder and Managing Director of Heriot Brown In-House Recruitment, to share his advice and insights into in-house legal careers, what they involve, the skills required, how to secure an in-house role, and when to reach out to a recruiter.

As well as  having passion and expertise as an In-House recruiter, Scott is also an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, who has worked in the UK and internationally on M&A and energy projects prior to starting his own recruitment firm.

Scott also hosts his own podcast called ‘Lessons I Learned in Law’ where he invites guests to leave their egos at their door, share their professional successes and challenges, as well as the lessons they've learned in law.

Having experience as a lawyer, a leading recruiter, and a podcast host gives Scott a well-rounded and unique perspective on this topic, so we are really excited to have Scott as a guest!
