(00:00):
This is out of Chesterfield. Whatdo we just talk about Chesterfield the other
day? Fastest growing county in Virginia. Yeah, you know what. I
was reading about them yesterday, though, what is the It's like, they're
two hundred and seventy fifth anniversary,I believe for Chesterfield. Didn't they get
like an ice cream from who? From the company there? Hold on,

(00:23):
I'll tell you Jelatti Celestie. Itprobably has a more elegant natural sounding like
you're in Italian Gelatti Celeste, that'sa Richmond based company. What do you
mean? They got it though,Like they're they're recognizing I got it something.

(00:44):
Chesterfield is celebrating its two hundred andseventy fifth anniversary this weekend. In
honor of the occasion, Chesterfield,of course, headed up by Herbert,
teamed up with Jelatti Celeste, tocreate its own ice cream flavor called Chesterfield

(01:04):
honey Bear Tracks honey Bear Tracks. The new flavor is a smooth honey ice
cream with bits of butterfinger candy barsmixed in. Yeah, doesn't that sound
good? Love Butterfinger. We're thefirst municipality in Virginia to have our own

(01:30):
ice cream flavor, so says jElias O'Neil, spokesperson for the county.
Kind of a neat little honor, especially for us that's a big anniversary weekend,
says we're so pleased. Oh thisis from oh Jelatti, Celestie's co
president, Susie. How do yousay Rosser? Well, I just said

(01:53):
it, Ashley R O s sE. R. Is that Rosser?
Sure? I hope you my guess. Okay, Well, I want to
make sure I get it right becauseI'm getting ready to push for something.
I'd like to try that ice cream. It's a wonderful opportunity to honor a
county that has been beyond supportive ussince we opened our store on Whole Street
in twenty twenty. Oh wow,so they've only been around for four years?

(02:15):
Or is that that location? Don'tknow? Well, it says they
opened their store on Whole Street.Oh so you think they may have had
a different location prior to that.I think they go back decades. Well,
I bet they don't go back twohundred and seventy five years. Prop
uputing that it'll make its debut atthe Chesterfield two hundred and seventy fifth anniversary

(02:36):
Celebration Saturday at the Chesterfield Fairgrounds andthey said bits a butterfinger. These are
some nice chunks. I'm telling you, I see only like that one small
picture. It looks awesome. Who'sthat? I don't know? And by
the way, I'm just trying toget to the r story established in nineteen

(03:00):
eighty four. Oh, no kidding. Oh so twenty twenty is the new
location. Yes, Jilattie Celestie fortyyears that's impressive, right the run?
Yeah? Doesn't that ice cream lookgood? Though? Yeah? I was
just looking at a picture of it. There you go. I'm all in,

(03:23):
is that a And forgive me fornot knowing the answer to this?
Are they known? Like? Isit awesome ice cream? They've been around
that long it has to be okay. I'm just asking that you don't get
that longevity without being good. No, you're right. Look at Baskin Robbins.

(03:45):
Is that who they want to becompared to right now? Probably not?
But they've been around a long time, So you want someone to get
this to us tomorrow? I mean, I'd love it. I don't know
what. I don't know what Susie'sdoing? Is that Susie? That is
Kimmy? Right? I don't knowwho that's gotta be Susie, is it?

(04:13):
I don't know. I have noidea, I have no clue.
So they tagged a photo if Iwould Uh where am I going? Line
one? Hi Ellie in the morning. Hey this is me? Yeah,
Hi, who's this? Hey?This is Alex out of Shirlington. My
best friend is actually the owner ofGelattie Celestio with him and his sister.

(04:36):
Are you serious? Oh? Soyou know the owner? Who's the Who
are the owners? So the ownersare the Rosters. It's run by used
to be run by their dad,Steve. He recently retired, and now
Tom and his younger sister Susie runthe company. Tom is located in Richmond,

(04:59):
they have seven stores there, andSusie is in Virginia Beach where they
have three stores. Ooh boy, that's gonna be a longer drive for Susie.
I'll tell you that the Hey.So okay, So I guess I
didn't realize that because I mean,listen, I feel bad. I apologize.
I don't know about all the locations, but I was reading about the
one that they're doing in Chesterfield andthe ice cream looks great, by the

(05:19):
way, but you're telling me.So they've got they've got multiple locations,
would you say, seven in Richmondand three in Virginia Beach. Yes,
Oh wow. So they've did aroundsince. I want to say the company
was originally started by Steve's roommate backin like the late eighties, and then

(05:40):
Steve the father purchased it back intwenty sixteen, and they've been ramping up
the company ever since. Wow.Good, some of the best ice cream
you'll ever eat. I was justgonna ask. I mean, I obviously
they're your friends, but the icecream's good. Oh yeah, it's fantastic.
So the ice cream is actually madein July machines, so that's where
it gets the Jilati Celestie theme from. But it's some of the best ice

(06:06):
cream. Like their their top theirtop flavors, like just ask. They
do a ton of you know, different seasonal things. So they'll they'll run
flavors for like two months and thenyou know, they'll do other seasonal things.
And but ultimately, what they didfor the Chesterfield people was they got

(06:26):
connected with them, and I guessthey had a raffle for tickets where they
selected like a few people out ofthe community to go into the production facility
and test flavors to then come upwith the Chesterfield flavor. Herbert, get
your neck timer going to test flavors. That's awesome, though, Hey,
Well tell them tell uh, tellTom and Susie the rosters. Uh,

(06:48):
tell him, tell him that wewere that we were talking about. I'd
like Susie to drive up a pinttomorrow, possible for the weekend, all
right, dude, Hey, Iagree, go to be That's all right.
I mean, listen, if theyget on the road early, like
like two am, they'll beat allthat. They'll figure it out, all
right, dude. Hey, Iappreciate it, thank you, sir.

(07:09):
Yes, Tom, much like they'rehand crafted process. The drive may take
longer, but we think it makesthe ice cream much better. I'll tell
you what. I don't know whotheir photographer is, but that ice cream
looks good. You know. Ourproprietary process minimizes the air whipped into our
product, making it uniquely flavorful, thick and creamy and flat out special.

(07:31):
So they're making ice cream in agelato machine, That's what I said.
Yeah, who, But no,I don't know, I don't know.
I don't know what the difference isI do have a handful of shops,
but I believe there's a truck too, Is there really? Yeah, well
that's on wheels. Let's get thatup here. I'm just saying, where

(07:54):
am I going? Have you postedyour weekend stops? Yeah, Rockville,
Maryland on the US line too.By the way, you know what would
be really smart? Why don't wepark it in the uh in the little
roundabout circle in front of the stationand people could just buy ice cream tomorrow
morning. You're thinking, thank you, just try. I'm just trying to

(08:15):
make Susie some money. That's all. Looks like they're hurting line too,
hi Ellia of the morning. Eventhe truck looks nice. Hey, what's
going on, dude? Not much. It's Nick and Richmond. I used
to deliver products to where they makethe actual ice cream there in Richmond,
right, And so the guy whomakes it, he's cool dude, no

(08:37):
name, bruh. But he driveshis Harley Springer front end Harley every day
to work. Sweeting's back there makingthe ice cream. He gives me a
little samples and by the time I'mdone, their their freezer so cold that
it's set up and ready Wow,how about that, dude. And are
the samples fantastic? Oh? Theydo not play around there. That ice

(08:58):

God, I love hearing that.I love hearing that. Excellent.
I appreciate it. Thank you, sir, Thank you, my friend.
Yeah, all the stores and retailspaces, and he nailed it. And
it's weird to say, well it'sclean. Well, you know how many

also forty years old. I'll tellyou what I've never I have never seen
a clean Baskin Robins. I'm justsaying you could if And the one on
Root fifty in fallse Shirts is acover model of not clean. If your

(09:41):

and peanut butter, and it isto die for. By the way,
Tyler just pulled a picture up ofit. I mean it's pornographic. It
looks fantastic. That's hilarious. That'show we'll describe it. Hey, so

(12:37):
for the weekend, like, that'spretty cool though. That you that you
guys got to team up with Chesterfieldthough and make the ice cream though.
That's good for you. We've hadso much fun with Coccerfield and they've been
a great partner with us as well, so we're excited. They're having a
big celebration for their two hundred andseventy fifth anniversary on Saturday in Chuckerfield with

(12:58):
