our contest page or register for yourchance when a pair of tickets to a
screening of this high flying documentary. That's KFE dot com. You were contest
to enter a couple thirteen fourteen pastcommon Man program. I'm common He's tending

(00:30):
to be excited and delighted to bejoined by the legendary Mark Rosen, formerly
of Channel four Sports Sports Sports isyour whole life just sports fame, media
section or courtside? What is mediatonight? Oh? Really? Yeah?
I think so? Who's going tobe sitting next to killboard? I killboards
on back? He's not in town? What? No? I think?

(00:51):
No way? Now he's Bandwagon. He gave up on the close. No,
no, I don't think he wasplanning to come back, even had
the one in Denver the other night. I guess I'm not. I'm on
his travel agent. I just knowwhat he told me. I don't think
he was planning to come back forthe one game. So I don't know
who's sitting courtside with Charlie. Ihave no idea obviously, sitting next to

(01:14):
Berrero, I assume let me askyou a question, sir, scale of
one to ten, ten being youthink Wolves are lead pipe since to win
the game one, they have nochance. Were you yet six? I
think? I think you know Iwas thinking about before I walked into the
studio here. We as Minnesotans havea fatalistic approach in DNA, and you

(01:40):
could say, rightfully, so afterhow many times you've been burned? I
mean, I heard you articulate verywell the trials and tribulations of our baseball
team in the postseason, especially againstthe team from the Bronx, or the
regular season. Although the Twins, you know, it's just astonishing how they
just crawl up in the fetal positionwhen they play in New York and we
know what's gone on. I circleback all the time to you guys just

(02:02):
talked about the vikings. But tome, I think a lot of it
has to do with the expectations whenthey have been now this is this year
is not that case. The expectationshave been pretty sky high, or they
surprised everyone and then they've gone inas favorites. I mean, there's been
a bunch of times they've been favoritesin playoff games and we know what's happened.
So I think it's just a kindof this shivering feeling that goes up

(02:27):
and down your spine. If you'rea sports fan, minsot a sports fan
that well, there's we don't We'renot going to have nice things happen.
And I try to approach that alittle differently, maybe because of where I'm
at in my life and my career. I'm excited about the game tonight.
I mean I try to say tomyself, Look, if you've been if
you as a fan have been supportingand enjoying this basketball team this year,

(02:50):
whether just watching it on television, maybe going to an occasional game, whatever
the case may be, this iswhat you been waiting for. I mean,
you have an opportunity to win thishome game tonight and make it seven
a game seven against Denver talked aboutthe Twins in eighty seven to ninety one

(03:12):
doing the same thing. A grantedboth those times they had both those games
at home. But I, asTennis said earlier, I don't know if
home court means certainly hasn't been theheck of a lot in this series.
Yeah, certainly, you know,Minnesota we know is one. So I
don't know, I I we knowit's it's we know it's at stake.
We know how good Joker is.We know you know, you can come
up of a thousand different ways ofhow the Wolves should be attacking them tonight,

(03:35):
offensively and defensively. It just itjust kind of shrug your shoulders and
shake your head and go, lookat it's guys have to make shots.
This just it. It's not it'snot. I mean, there's a clinical
aspect to it. There's how thereferee is going to be calling the game.
But I just think from a fansperspective, my advice, just as
Mike Ty said, and enjoy theseason, enjoy the moment because nothing is

(04:00):
guaranteed. Even to get this farnext year again, even pretty much probably
with this pretty much the same team, Denver might be just that good.
I mean, they are the defendingchampions. They've shown their metal. They've
surprised me with being as hungry asthey are after being down to nothing to
come roaring back the way they did, and that says something about their management.

(04:21):
The organization, the players, andnot just the MVP. But so
what I think Minnesota has a lotto be proud of and what they've done
this year, and you have achance tonight. I mean, they're they're
they're there. I know it's God'smakers and they want action on both sides.
But the Wolves are two point favoritesand blah blah blah. But I
just I mean, I'm excited aboutthe game, that's all. I guess.

(04:44):
All I'm saying is that I'm I'mexcited about the game. If they
lose, they go out, mayprobably watch Denver play Boston in the NBA
Finals. I don't know, thensee what happens. But it's not a
question of giving up or or havingthis fatalistic attitude about it. I think
they can go out and play theirsocks off and give them a hell of

(05:05):
a run tonight. Why shouldn't they. I don't have shooting percentages for each
game in front of me, butit just feels like in those first two
games, almost anybody in Wolves uniformmade whatever they saw and they were just
knocking down shots. And then sincethen, when it's got a little tighter

(05:26):
and you need to make we sawespecially that last game. There were some
opportunities for support put looks on threesand twos, and they just weren't going
on them. And is that justbecause that's how basketball is is sometimes they
go in, sometimes they don't.Is it little? Is there? You
know? Because the pressure is offenlyratcheted up now? And is it like
not that they're I don't like usingthe word choke, but because the intensity

(05:48):
and the importance of every shot sometimesa little harder to play loose. I
don't know, it is no,it is. I mean, has Gary
guy Eddie famously said that one timeit's hard to you know, throw the
baseball whatever with both hands are onyour throat. And we've seen players who
have succeeded the role players like JadeMcDaniels, and they're just leaving him alone

(06:10):
in the corner right knock down thoseshots, not every one of them,
but make them cover you. RudyGobert has been you know, I think
it was seven for seven last gamefrom the field. I mean, I
think you got to get him theball, more opportunities to score, maybe
try to get some of the guysin fall trouble the kile. Alexander Walker

(06:31):
had an early hot streak kitt inthrees and then cooled off. But your
role players have to do things, have to have to help ant and have
to help obviously Cat's got to beat the highest possible level tonight. So
yes, and make your damn freethrows. Talk about that as well.
Yeah. So, I mean,we've seen this team and its best in

(06:55):
this series, shockingly on what theywere able to do in Denver in the
first two games, especially Game two. Would it look like when Jocis were
saying, you know, lest theyclone me, I don't know what we're
going to do. Basically he had, you know, a pretty good sense
of humor about it. But youknow, I think he was right and
they made the adjustments, and kudosto them, and you know, and

(07:17):
when you have a game like hedid the other night, where like I
said, I don't I can't recallI've seen anyone Michael Jordan comes to mind,
but to dominate that many aspects ofthe game as well as as as
much as he did, and theassortment of moves that he has and just
how he sets up teammates and notturn to the ball. You know,

(07:38):
we know the whole story. ButI again, it's it's a clean slate
tonight. You just go out there. And what they haven't done really at
Target Center in this series is getthemselves, you know, a substantial lead
where Denver might have to switch thingsup a little bit more or change their
strategy. The Wolves have led byfour, maybe five. I can't remember

(07:58):
what their biggest lead has been herein this series at home, but it
hasn't been much. And so whenyou're playing from behind, or you've had
those stretches where you just everything justdries up and you can't make a shot,
you can't make a stop. Allof a sudden, you look up
the scoreboard. They're down by eight, they're down by ten, and you're
swimming upstream the rest of the night, and Denver's is really good. They
smell blood when that happens. Andthat's where Minnesota has to I think my

(08:24):
way of thinking just to uh toput some pressure on Denver tonight by getting
themselves a decently not that you know, we know that's a game of runs,
but you make them earn it.That's what I'm trying to say,
make them earn it. So I'mgonna get forward to it. I have
a couple of questions to ask you. Number one would be, let's say,
just for argument's sake, wolves loosetonight or they lose, they win

(08:48):
the night and they get eliminated byDenver. Right? Do you view this
season as abject failure? Failure?Shrug your shoulders, Yeah, it's okay.
Good season or really good season?Where? Where? Where would you?
Where would you categorize? I wouldsay really good season. I think
had they lost We've talked about thisbefore. Have they lost to Phoenix in

(09:11):
the first round? I think myanswer might be different. After winning fifty
six games and having the number oneseed most of the regular season, have
they lost that series? Instead? They swept them. They've won two games
of this series against Denver. SoI think it's been a really good season.
I'm not saying it's not not goingto end if it does end tonight,

(09:33):
in particular in disappointing fashion, Butyou know, I think I do
believe that there's a process that goeson, and I think maybe the Wolves
might be just a year behind thatcurve overall where they can you know,
I mean, I'm really but theonly big roster change I think we'll see
next to Kyle Anderson's not going tobe back, and I whether they go
get a Darius Garland. There's alot of rumors about potentially how they could

(09:56):
fill that role financially, and youknow, I think players will will want
to come here now because they seewhat's going on in Minnesota, but you
know, not that they can affordmany more moves. But I think overall,
i'd be I'm saying I'm satisfied,but I think it's been a very
good season, especially after winning andsweeping Phoenix with their three superstars and when
to look at it that way inthe first round, that was a real

(10:18):
statement they made. So yeah,I don't know. I mean, I
think if they are playing, ifthey're playing okay see right now in this
in this round and had a twonothing series late and lost it, I
might be might be a different answer, but until otherwise proven. I mean,
Denver's defending champs, and they they'refilling the part right now. They

(10:43):
look every bit the part of avery confident team that wants to defend its
title. My other question would befor you, and this is the most
important one. What dinner theater areyou sending car Onto tonight? She's going
is she going back to no wewent to all the chan hassen. Yeah,
no chan has why you go tothe game? No, we were.

(11:05):
We had a wonderful night last nightat the Orpheum going to see MJ
whatever the name of the musical whatever. It was spectacular, one of the
one of the one of the bestthings I've ever seen on stage. This
young man who played Michael Jackson. Was it the understudy or was it the
No, it was main, main, dude, main guy. Uh.
And I haven't heard an audience.I mean you talk about and I compare

(11:26):
it to sporting events. Uh,it's it got as loud at the end,
with one of the best endings toa play, if I want to
call it a play musical I've everseen. The crowd went nuts. It
was like a standing ovation really andhit a three pointer to win the game.
Yeah. It follows the trials andtribulations of the Dangerous Tour. I

(11:48):
think it was back in ninety two. It was dangerous and yeah, I
mean and they they touched on someof the you know, the issues obviously,
and they have they have a youngMichael Jackson and the older thee that
the but the young man who playsyou know MJ during that time, dancing,
singing, Uh, physical nature ofhim and and his you know,
the people around him, it was. It was wonderful and I I I

(12:13):
highly recommend if you can get into see it. It's here for another
week. So no, carn wasout last night. So no, she's
gonna be. She's looking forward tohaving a quiet night at home, I
believe. So that's what we werejust wondering. Yeah, no, no,
I'm not. I'm not deserting her. I would be at the game,
and but she's looking forward to havinga chill night tonight. I think.
So. Got another Wools question foryou the other side of the break,

(12:35):
want to talk twins. They arenow trilling. Is it if they
scored? Is it still five?Nothing? Seventh or eight? Thing?
Saw the only run they've scored theseries? Wow, I got three hiss
today though. What happened in youknow the offense? Are they using the
winter shitz al? Is that isthat working any more? Form? I
don't think they think that's uh,I think they can bury that sausage thing.
Whatever they've been doing. My guessis the last two nights and of

(12:58):
course this night, they haven't beenable to use any of those celebrations.
They've been practicing poreographing. They'm ableto do that, have they? No?
I want to get in the battingcage and uh work on the the
bats again. They're playing, they'rethey're they're facing a real pitching staff.
Let's take it break come back.Tennebee has got a keyword for us.
Yeah, the fan and big deckdot com. I want to give you
shot to put a gran in yourhand with our national cast contest. Just

(13:20):
enter the keyword win at KFA dotcom now for your shadow winning. The
keyword is win entern now kfan dotcom. Yeah, yeah, a couple

(13:48):

one hundred three to two zero fiftythree twenty six is the telephone number.
Who's at KFA dot com. Theemail address KFA Talkback, Go to iHeartRadio
app. Download the iHeartRadio app ifyou haven't done so already, and then
you search stations, find the fanmicrophone icon corner of the screen, tap

(14:09):
it thirty seconds or less to sendus an audio message. And then there's
the Brad John Brian k Evan textline at six four six eight six,
and someone busted your rose and theyreminded me, says, remember yesterday when
Rosie said the Twins wouldn't get swept. I did, well, Rosie get
the last spring Clay. Yeah.I know, it's a shame on me
not only gets swept, but Imean I went to the game with it

(14:33):
Monday night. I can't win thistoday. I went to the open first
game. Yeah, it was Tuesdaynight, Tuesday night, and I literally
sat down right when Jeffers hit thehome run bottom of the first inning.
That's been it. That's it onlyrun they score. Yeah. So yeah,
shame on me for not learning mylesson. I thought between Lopez and
Joe Ryan. Yeah, well, the pitching has been okay, has been

(14:54):
great. But you know what's thescore today? I don't even know what's
going five nothing. Oh that's notgood. Aaron Judges, you guys talked
about was a one man wrecking crew. Last night. I saw the video
of the home run he hit inthe third deck. My god, I
mean when you watch him in person, I mean, you and I might
cover this series when in Yankee Stadiumwhen Mallatar was managing and Judge was playing,
and you go to a news conference. I mean, he's a mammoth

(15:18):
human. You talk about being aroundlike Timberwolf players. Like tonight you see
a Rudy Gobert who's a huge man, cat, big guy. You know,
just Aaron Judge is a monster.I mean, he looks like he's
the bat, looks like a pickin his hand, and by all accounts
of a class act all the waythrough. And I he is a joy

(15:39):
to watch. I mean, youcan play with the best of them,
and when he gets out a rolllike he is right now, there's there's
no stopping him. So I mean, I am an Aaron Judge fan,
you know, and I just theTwins just can't compete at that level.
You've talked about it often, andwhen they face a team like this and
they're not competitive, and now thatthey just have to kind of lick their
wounds and go and they play inwhat Cleveland, they go back to go

(16:00):
to clean play the Guardians for threeYeah, yeah, so that's you know,
it's a showdown series. Guardians. But they have a two game lead
over the Twins right now. They'reoff today the Guardians. So let's say
the Twins this this score holds, they lose two and a half back with
the three games series. Again,it's it's way too early to check.
Stand the butt standings are the standings, and they're two and a half games

(16:22):
back. Yeah, I do lookat the pitching line today and and Ryan
wasn't at his best. He wentfive and a third six hits, four
earned, Ronzie walked one, struckout five. So, you know,
I even though they're they're you know, they had that nice stretch where they
won twelve games in a row, including seven games against the White Sox,

(16:44):
I think they missed Sunny Gray, and I think as the season goes on
that might prove to be correct. Now maybe not, I mean, because
you know, Ober has been donea very good job. Lopez, you
know, he is just as nothe has not been as dominant Joe.
Ryan's had his moments throughout the seasonso far. But yeah, the pitching
staff and then Paddocks had it,you know, after a shaky outing or

(17:07):
two, if I recollect correctly,I think he had a couple of decent
outings, but yeah, the pitchingstaff's just not there. And you know,
the hitting went on a roll whenwe played some of the oswalt But
now the hitting is just completely driedup. Again. Well, this is
where the Twins aren't deep enough andtalented enough to survive long term without Royce

(17:29):
Lewis. They're just not They're notbuilt that way. He is the catalyst
for everything, much the way whenArise was rolling with this team, he
set the table, he was onbase all the time. He had a
lot of energy put in that team. Lewis can do that with more power,
and not necessarily for the batting averagethat Arrives had, But they just

(17:53):
over a period of time, theyjust really missed his presence and I think
it's starting to take a toll. They just don't have. The other guys
are just too inconsistent. And Ilooked at the lineup watched the game the
other night, and you know they'renot gonna put a lot of fear into
really top pictures. The guys thatare crafty enough, you know, left
handers in particular, who just havethem flailing away at and at off speed

(18:18):
stuff, and you know they stillstrike out at a really high rate.
So I don't know, I mean, you just said it. I mean
they can compete in their division. They certainly will will compete I think in
their division all year long. It'sgood that Kansas City is more more competitive
now in Cleveland will be there, but it'll probably be a three team race.
Well, and stranger things have happened. This doesn't just suggest that the
Twins won't qualify for postseason. Theymight not. You know, you can

(18:42):
always you know that old lightning strikesand all of a sudden the bats are
sharp. And you know, onceyou get to postseason. Years saw last
year, Once you get to postseason, you get two pictures that give you
two really good performances back to back, and you're you're in the American League

(19:04):
Championship Series print here, So itcan't happen. But it's just the odds
seem to be stacked against this teambecause they're starting pitching that they've got some
quality arms, but a lot ofthese other teams got I mean, they've
got guys that are just there theirbig game pitchers. They are and they've
proven it during during, during, and they're doing this without Garrett Cole right
now. So the guy they've spenta ton of money on as the ace

(19:29):
of their staff, he's not evenback in their rotation right now. So
well, and and you talked aboutyou know, they really need Lewis in
the lineup. And what's interesting though, is Lewis is really he's never really
been in the lineup long. Canhe do it? You know, you
know, game after game, weekafter week, month after month. We
just haven't seen it. We thinkhe can. The talent looks like that,

(19:51):
but we really don't know that forsure. Korea was going to be
the you know, best player inthe world in this and Korea is a
Korea bucks In has never been ableto play for the most part, week
after week, month after month anddo it at a high level. So
it's it's hard to know. ButLewis would be the guy they really needed.
I think Buxton to have a healthyseason and play like he's always been

(20:14):
portrayed as as a guy that canreally hit the ball. And then they
needed Korea. Korea. They neededthose three guys to really have healthy seasons
and really produce offense well and inorder to move the needle ever in the
postseason again and they won one serieslast year as we know, but those
three guys you mentioned, Buxton,Lewis and Korea have to be the glue
that the three guys that make ithappen for the Twins if they're going to

(20:36):
have a chance of doing anything inOctober. We saw them, you know,
we saw Lewis or what he wasable to do in the Toronto series
here when you know, target Fieldwent nuts last year and then they ran
into Houston and that was the Texas. Excuse me, wasn't it Texas?
But they played last year and theylost to It was Houston. It was
Houston beat Houston. Yeah beat theylost. Wait, no they did.

(20:56):
They didn't beat Houston, did they? And we lost tonight Toronto? Toronto,
Yeah, Toronto. Then they lost. But I'm just saying that those
are the three guys, as yousaid that that have to be in the
lineup though, But you can't whenyou're not in the lineup. It's hard
to say, well, if theyhad so and so and so and so
with Buston, you know, thenthen he gets and he struggles for a

(21:17):
while, and he's down in SaintPaul trying, he's rehabbing, he's getting
closer to coming back. Maybe bynext week we'll be back in the Twins
team, and you know, crossyour fingers that he'll be here for a
while. I guess what we're tryingto say, is the Yankee series helps
prove the theory that twelve in arow. Yeah, was as much about
the opponents as it was the Twins. Yeah overall, yeah, yes,

(21:41):
you know East is competitive enough.I mean the Red Sox and Baltimore Paulter
is really good. But if youlook at the Twins, the Yankees record
and against the Twins, not justthe postseason record, but the regular season
as well, it's astonishing. It'suh, how one team can dominate another
team like that. And I don'tknow what the record is against other Central

(22:02):
Division teams the Yankees. We're sureit's good, but I can't imagine that
it's anywhere near what they've done againstMinnesota for well over a decade. You
are, you are really good atwhat you do. You're a great host
in Rosen Sports Sunday for all thoseyears you do you know, the Vikings
pregame show, but even you knewbetter and stepped aside to let meat sauce
and do the schedule show, becausethere's nobody better than those two. I

(22:29):
want your thoughts on the Viking schedule. We'll do that next other side of
the break Common Band program with Commontend Tob and Mark Rosen here on the
family. Yeah, a couple thirteenfourteen pass common Man program on common he

(23:10):
is Tenna be legendary. Mark Rosenis here as well. Before we talk
a little Vikings. In the schedulerelease yesterday, we of course knew who
they were playing. Now we knowwhen before we do that. I don't
know what number PGA Championship it is. If it's thirteen fourteen, if it's
one hundred, if it's eighty nineor whatever, but it's being played right

(23:32):
now at Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky. Let's go to our PGA Championship leader
Board desk into our PGA Championship Leaderboarddesk leaderboard updater. That would be ten
to be what you got, Tenna, Yeah, the leader at nine under
Xander Schaffey. He shot a nineunder sixty two today, three strokes ahead

(23:52):
of second place, which is currentlysituated by two golfers tied Tony Fena and
Sahathi Gala. They both shot sixhundred sixty five today. Rory McElroy tied
for fourth at five under along withRobert McIntyre. They're both from the clubhouse
Ben Coles Brooks Koepka Taylor Moore allat four under, and Martin Kaimer,

(24:14):
Adam Hadwin, Cameron Smith, VictorHovlin, Max Homa, Kurt Kitty Aama
Brice and Nischambau and Scotty Scheffler allthree under. All of them are in
the clubs except for Scheffler. He'sthree hundred through four. That's the eagle
number one today. Believable. Tammy, can you fade the music? I
don't just stop it abruptly, thankyou, because when I stopped it a
proptly, it just doesn't seem itseems wrong. Did you just stop it
for me to pot it back up? All right? Well, then you've

(24:36):
potted it all the way down right. Yeah, I'll stop it because it
just doesn't seem right when it's themaster's music. I want to address a
quick text message here though, thatsays John from Blakeville. You guys are
total frauds. The Twins were justseventeen and three in their last twenty games.
That's incredible baseball. All the teamsthey play are in Major League Baseball.
The idea is to beat up onthe week teams. The Yanks this

(24:57):
week are better than the Twins. You guys, Some like spoiled Rubes,
which my response was, you soundlike an apologist and a poll out Procket
protector. One run over three gamesand he wants to slap him on the
back. Twenty to three. Wecomplimented them. I did seventeen or three.
That's idea. I'll even do it. I've said forever. We're not
responsible for putting together the other team'sroster. The White Sox are an abysmal

(25:22):
team. The Angels are terrible.Did a nice job win in two or
three from the White Sox, threeor four from Seattle, and two or
three from Toronto. But all we'redoing is what we're doing is historically this
team working in a weak division. They won a lot of division championships,
are qualified for the wild card. Were talking about the streak of oh and
eighteen. Now they did break itlast year, but they were oh to

(25:44):
eighteen because the team isn't serious aboutwinning. They have a set budget.
There's no sunda. They say,we met of it. After getting out
of the first round of the playoffsand breaking that awful Owen eighteen streak,
they decided to cut payroll and theydecided to let him walk away. The
guy who finished what third in theCy Young voting. I'm sorry, this

(26:07):
isn't the love Covenant. We're notgoing to verbally slap him on the back
and pat him. And they saidgo for twins. You go get them,
guys. It's like, play winsome games. Beat teams like the
Yankees. Put together a roster that'ssolid top to bottom. You're gonna cost
you more money. At least becompetitive against them. I mean, the
three games disappointing for the fans whowent out there in particular. I mean

(26:30):
I was out there Tuesday night, and like I said, I had just
sat down when I watched Jeffers hita home run. Little did any of
us know that would be the onlyrun they'd score in the three games.
So that's the headline. Isn't thatthey've lost to the Yankees again, that's
almost a given, but the factthat they're not competitive against them, that
this was not a competitive series. They barely hit the ball, The pitching

(26:53):
was okay at best. The defensewas shoddy at best, especially in the
outfield. So another indication of whenyou play the big boys, in particular
New York. This is kind ofwhat happens. I mean, if they
had lost a you know, aone run game and Judge hit a home
run the top of the ninth towin four to three or something. Go
hey, they gave a good run. It's it's only the middle of May.

(27:15):
But when you get beat the waythey did the last three games,
it's just a reminder that the Yankeescontinually kick sand in their faces and and
this is what happens. And it'snot just the Yankees, it's you know,
the better teams overall. So let'ssee, it's up to them now
they're playing a you know, thebest team right now in their division.
This weekend they go into Cleveland.Let's see what they can recover and and

(27:36):
figure it out and score some runsand hopefully get Buxton back at least a
defensively help them, if not onoffense. Soon to be Big Game World
champion Minnesota Vikings will open on theroad against the New York Football Giants.
The schedule was released yesterday. Justagain, you know, to analyze each
game at this time of the yearis probably an exercise in futility, but

(27:57):
just your overall all thoughts when theschedules first release, just how you see
it. Do you like the waythe games are portioned out. Do you
think it's a good schedule? Toughscheduling, hard to guess because the Vikings
are kind of in that competitive rebuildmoment. What do you think of what
what you said to me? Myway the early part of the season looks.
I mean, I don't think thatthe Giants are necessarily an unbeatable team

(28:18):
to open up on the road against, but a little tougher than I expected
given where they finished in the standings, but come right back home to play
San Francisco for the home opener. Now, yes, they did beat the
forty nine ers here last year.Let's keep that in mind. And I
was asking Tena during the commercial break, the little edge you're looking for?
I think the forty nine ers hadthe first Monday night game against Aaron Rodgers

(28:38):
and the Jets, so they're goingto lose a day of preparation trying to
find any silver lining year right whenthey come to Minnesota the following week.
I think that, you know, the opening schedule is attractive as all get
up. I mean, you openup obviously in New York against the Giants.
That's that's whatever team that knocked themon the playoffs. A couple of

(28:59):
years ago, but early anybody leftin that roster anymore. San Francisco up
and becoming Houston team that's going tobe here the following week. Then you
play the Packers for the first timeat Lambeau in the middle of the end
of September, and then you goto London the following week to play the
other the other former Packer quarterback likethat Aaron Rodgers guy, and then come

(29:21):
back to play your kiddies and goto the RAM. And that's a pretty
tough schedule. But you know,we don't know the complexion of any of
these teams, including Minnesota's, becauseI mean, I'm anxious to see,
for instance, speaking the Packers, what does Aaron Jones have left in the
tank. We saw the Vikings runninggame struggle mightily last year. You could
say some of that's offensive line, but you know, after the departure of

(29:44):
Dalvin Cook and his peak and whatthey were trying to do with Alexander Madison
and ty Chandler, it was lackingany real punch. And I'm anxious to
see what Aaron Jones can do forthis football team to help well to be
Sam Darnold at the beginning or potentiallyJJ McCarthy obviously at some point, but
helped the passing game overall. Theyhave that balance attack than any coach wants,

(30:07):
in particular Kevin O'Connell wants. So, you know, we just kind
of shrug our shoulders right now.We don't know how the mechanics of a
schedule work out, how injuries factorinto it, how you know all that
happens. Because, like I said, Minnesota beat San Francisco last year here
and the forty nine ers last timeI looked, ended up in the Super

(30:27):
Bowl. So you know, therest of the schedule, you know,
at you know they play Indianapolis Jacksonville. Kind of just shrug your souls because
you just don't know. I mean, it's just as a Bud used to
say, it's not who you play, it's when you play him. And
then what the injuries. I mean, I'm anxious to see how the Bears.
That's going to be an interesting teamto watch and Chicago I think PA

(30:52):
was talking about I heard of ita little bit earlier today. The Bears
have a pretty easy schedule for themost part, pretty good run and well
Caleb Williams be able to make thatadjustment immediately right out of the blocks,
because there's no question. As muchas we talk about JJ McCarthy eventually taking
over the quarterback position, there's nodiscussion in Chicago. He's it. He's
the guy, and that's still alot to ask. I don't care how

(31:15):
ballyhoo to any rookie year is,it's still a lot to ask. We
saw CJ. Stroud, who's comingto town here third week of the season,
light it up last year and he'sman. I mean, Caleb Williams
will have a hard time matching anywherenear what CJ. Stroud did last year
I think for the Texans, butI'm not a great prediction based on schedule
release text message says after rolls andfinishes his thought, can you ask what

(31:42):
Carn's thoughts are on the schedule? What does she think? See? Did
she give you an opinion? No, she actually did not, other than
discussing the London trip a little bit, because we'll we go into that.
But she has to be there forthe sponsors and on the tag along being
out whatever they need. It's abusiness trip. You mix a little bit
of pleasure while you're there. Wait, I hope so we might stick for

(32:05):
a couple of days afterwards, becausethe Vikings do have their bye week after
the London game, so may staythere for a few more days. Oh,
I haven't discussed that yet. Gosee London Bridge. Well, I
think we go somewhere else. Ihaven't. I think we leave London,
go somewhere else in Europe. Really, yeah, maybe, well we're there.
I may as well. I mean, I've seen been been to London

(32:28):
enough to Paris, Unich. I'mnot a big Paris fan. Probably,
be honest with you, Brussels. They have friends in Brussels. We might
go over there. You have friendsin Brussels, Yeah, she does.
Are think twenty minutes from a grocerystore. You're a beauty. Actually,
we were talking with our friends whoare trying to make plans. But I
have to. I have to getmy supplies in the order before we go

(32:51):
up there, you know, becauseyou know what's there in that place?
Not? Is it clear Lake one? Yeah? I think no, you're
at not clearly? Oh what isit? Yeah? I can't either.
So far in the wilderness, it'shard, can't so far away. It's
much the way the pioneers got through. It's just so. It was the

(33:14):
best ever. You know, myidea of roughing it is holiday in with
the window open, thank you verymuch. Meat sauces. Guy Ram is
absolutely imploding. Why would pick. He's gonna throw stuff against right now.
He's probably crashing his television set, tournament shop, playing in that live stuff,

(33:37):
which is nothing. That's basically aglorified scramble. It is. It's
all it is music, pounding out, shot guns, start people screaming,
drinking everywhere. It's I saw thehead of the PGA yesterday talking about you
know, it's no one, it'sjust yak of the yak of the act.
How they're figuring out how they're gonnaever put this thing, put the
pieces back together where it's hurting, hurting the game. You know, obviously

(34:00):
all the golfers are participating in themajors right now, but you know it's
it's uh not the same. Wehad Heimi Dias of Golf Channel on Teeda
Green week one and I asked Heimie, it's a theory I've had for a
long time. And I asked Himie, I said, do you agree with

(34:24):
this? Do you think that theseplayers on the whether they're not second guessing
their decision? A lot of moneyplaying golf for a living a lot less
golf, making good money, moremoney than they probably ever could have made.
Guaranteed money, Yeah, guaranteed moneythat they would have made it even
if they kept winning on the regulartour. But do you think deep down,
especially not the guys like Garcia andWestwood whose careers roll over. But

(34:46):
we're talking about cam Smith. DustinJohnson kept in Ram like they sometimes go,
I miss that tour stuff. Imissed every week happing with all the
best players in the world at fourrounds, And he said he absolutely believes
they all feel that way. Youknow, they're not and they're they're not
gonna say it because they're not gonnathey're not gonna rip live. But if

(35:08):
you remember Rom said, he goes, I'm watching Riviera this year and I'm
thinking, gosh, I wish Iwas there because I love Riviera and I
love the competition. I really,I really believe that they but they've made
their bed and they're making money, and eventually I kind of think, and
I don't know now, we justhad the done that. I can't remember
his first name, but he resignedfrom that position trying to find a way

(35:31):
with that personal investment fund or privateinvestment investment fund to work with the Peaches
that the merger. They've been talkingabout it and they it sounds like from
what I've been able to read thelast day or two, they're further away
from coming to an agreement than they'veever been. So I don't know where
it's headed, but you almost feellike they've because it's not doing either side

(35:53):
any good. It's not helping thatyou mentioned rom a particular guy like that
who seemed to have a real graspthe history of the game and appreciation for
those who came before him. Ialways mentioned, you know, Sevy Biasterios,
native Spaniard and what he did forthe sport, and you know it
had you know, all these glowingthings to say and think that, well
he's he's a guy that's not goingto be influenced by blood money, if

(36:16):
you want to call it that. But you know, just to to say,
well, I'm gonna I'm going totake the big check. Well that's
great, but I mean, butI I you know, I do think
they regret it, and it's it'suh, well, I said, not
all of them. Well I don'tthink they regret not regret taking them.
I think they just miss it.I think that's what it is. I
don't think if they could change theirmind they would. When you talk about
the money ram Goat was it wasit who knows half a billion dollars or

(36:40):
whatever it was for five thousand thousanddollars or yeah, five hundred million.
It was so much money that it'shard to say they regret it, but
I think they they they go,well, here's here's my two decisions,
and I'm going to miss this onthe tour. But I want the money,
and so that's good for them. But I do think they miss it.
And again, Jimy Diaz isn't thefinal word on it, but I
think he's close enough to it andhe consents those things. Like most of

(37:05):
those guys that took the money thatwere living check the check or or worrying
about losing their card on the PGAtour, they were solidified as some of
the top golfers in the world, making really good money and also all the
prestige that goes along with it,and now you know, all that's kind
of gone. I mean after thisweekend, Ron, for instance, he
might be gone. Way he's playingright now after tomorrow, So I don't

(37:30):
know, it's it's their own Iguess. I do wonder how many of
them thought, I will take themoney and then the two tours will be
merged together at some point soon anywayand come back and I got my huge
payday, right, And it waslike an hour ago when they said they
were combining forces, right, Like, what what's happened with I don't know
on the PGA. I think we'repushing back sometimes that these guys saying,

(37:52):
look, you took the money andnow you expect to come crawling back on
our tour. It doesn't work thatway. It doesn't seem like there is
any solution to it. I don'tthink there is no, but eventually I
think they I mean, what's hisface? Who is the guy that Taylor
Gooch? Yeah, he is alive player and he received an invitation to

(38:14):
the PGA Championship because he did notqualify the PGA Championship. You know,
they want to identify the very bestplayers, like Augusta, does you know
you want? And Augusta of coursehas former champs, and so the field
isn't full of the best players inthe world because by the time God love

(38:35):
him, but when Fred Couples teesit up at Augusta, he doesn't have
a chance to win. But Goochsaid he thought this was a good sign
that maybe things were starting to soften. I guess good for him. I
don't know if it was for therest of the tour, but he was
He was extended an invitation to playin the So I think that brought a
total of sixteen live players that areplaying. He was the only one that

(38:55):
was extended a special invitation. Theothers were all had to play their way
in. So there's that. Uh, what else do I got for you?
Oh, Minnesota Professional Hockey at Women'sHockey League? Did they win tennebe

(39:19):
you say it was in double overto double overtime? There's no five of
their last five regular seas, theywere limping home to the finish and the
opponent picked them to play were yeah, boy and boy, that that's I
mean, that's a good indication.That's there's that's bulletin board material right there.
So good for them. Well, after the first two games, it
looked like a good decision. Wellthey blew them out the first one.

(39:42):
Yeah, they did. Well, here they are they're still standing right,
So good for them. Yeah,I mean, and you said there was
a hell of a crowd out therefor the regular season finale. For the
finale there was like almost ten thousand, right, and then we don't know
what happening had like not even threethousand last Well, we think last night.
This is our only guest is theonly reason they had three thousand last

(40:05):
night was because people were locked intomeat sauce and Nordo. Well, the
that's all we think. It wouldhave to have just said that's more important.
Keep in mind, the Links havetheir home opener tomorrow night. So
they had a nice surprising opening winon the road, and they play Seattle.
Here say, I can't mean thisis eight thirty tomorrow night. Why

(40:25):
would they be starting nationally televised doublehatter. I don't know it's on i
n TV whatever that is. Ithink I've heard of it. Anyway,
their homemorrow nights and their home openeragainst Seattle. So sh Reeve doesn't miss
many years of being very competitive andshe feels and they have a couple of

(40:46):
players and they're coming from overseas yet. So one other football note that I
saw was a headline on Associated Pressregarding the National Foota League schedule, says,
the NFL schedule makers have the Chiefsplaying on every day but Tuesday.
Next Oh my, they're playing Monday, Thursday. They're goundless. Yeah,
regardless of having that special uh,Friday games now right, and then they

(41:06):
have Saturday games and of course Sundaythey're playing on every since something. What's
the Wednesday game? The Christmas orsomething? I think, oh, yes,
that's yeah, Wednesday, that's right, would be Christmas. They're doing
a double header on Christmas. They'replaying every day of the week except Tuesdays.
Can you just give us a break? What they should do is they
should schedule a special game on Tuesdayjust for the Chiefs so they can say
they played all seven all seven Dayah. I know holiday games with the Vikings

(41:28):
this year and know very few nationaltelevised games. That's what the league got,
the noon games, just like well, I could not agree with you
more. Well, even God restedon the seventh day, and Holmes is
the closest thing we've seen to Godas far as the football players. So
they're having him rest one day. That would be Tay. The other game
was it Wiggans who had that greatquote that was he wasn't too far off
regardless regardless of what night they playMonday night, Tuesday night. Yeah,

(41:52):
I think the Vikings. I thinknext week they're back at it. I
mean the veterans are coming to townnext week for the first time, so
I know there's our new time goingto be there. Oh that's right,
they say, the guy who's beenwith pretty much every team in the NFC
North, hasn't he the Packers andthe Bears. Yeah? Well, is
that an indication that TJ is notquite going to be ready for a while
time? I asked Tannebee, buthe thought maybe they always thought that.

(42:15):
Yeah, I don't think anything that'sthey aware. Yeah, but it could
be that they said, you know, it might be a week or two
more than we thought, and let'sget a tight end in the fold.
But no, they may have knownall long. I don't know. I
don't think that we need to readanything mysterious, but I did. I
did find it a little to methat it was a little surprised and they
got a tight end. But theyprobably got a little t J. They

(42:36):
don't. They just got to blockingTitans. Who was the guy we had
last year? Mooth. No,what was his name? Oliver? Oliver.
He's a blocking Titans. He hada couple of games last year.
He showed some hands. I thinkhe's just not been given the chance.
I think both you guys are underestimator. I think he's a combination they have
as Kelsey. What's Laporta's first name? Sam? Sam Laporta and Nah And

(43:00):
I think he has a he alongwith Hockins and bart That's our version of
what is it again? Grunk Househer name or Rudolph and Carlson. I
got two parting words for you. What is that game? Seven? Wow?
Tenney hit it? Yeah? ThatBeta block I'll take you. I'll

(43:25):
just give you a dollar and callit. I like all. That's Mark
Rose and the legendary one. We'lltalk to him next Tuesday at twelve noon,
Tenneby, thanks for having me o'clock, Thanks for having program. Passer
Imitation got quarter final number two tomorrowat one thirty Me and Moussegan's who will
