American rockers A Day to Remember arebringing the least anticipated album tours to the
Legendmphitheater June sixth with special guests,The Story So Far and four years Strong.
Tickets around sale now. For moreinfo, head over to campeon dot
com keeper calendar. From one Legendto another, Bryan Op, we thank

(00:32):
him for coming in for rock Talk. I'm Comedies tend to be the legendary
Mark Rose and Channel four formerly ofChannel four Sports Sports, Sports of Your
Whole Life Just Sports Fame joins usnow and I don't know if I can
take another for seven game series.I think I want a four games week
now. Wait, wait, wait, I'm glad I'm sitting down. Well,
it's because you know, that tooka lot out of me. It

(00:54):
did. Oh. I thought flippingbetween The Rockford Files and The Wow Timber
Rules took a lot audience. There'sthat I've not watched The Rockford Files in
a while. Now I will saythis too. I've been watching double episodes
of The Rockford Files for about ayear now, so I've seen every one
of them four or five times,so I can actually go you know what,
I think I'll miss it tonight towatch the Wolves play the Dallas Mavericks

(01:17):
at the game time. A coverageon the fan thing starts at seven the
tap about seven thirty or shortly thereafter. I think it's an intriguing matchup.
I was reading the Gotus piece onhow he matched up the teams and this
and then the other thing, andand you know, I think I said
this during the segment before Oak joinedus that or sometime during the show that
I thought, what a pro wants, what a pro needs was going to

(01:37):
win that series. I didn't evenconsider Dallas to be much of a contender.
I don't know why, but Ijust thought Oklahoma City is gonna win
the series. And then they werethe number one low and behold they they
get beat by the Dallas Mavericks. And when you start to dig a little
deeper, I mean, we knowthat uh Doncic is as good as any
player in the league. He's verytalented. And Kyrie, you know,

(01:59):
I was talking about yeah, andwhen I was starting brerown, he said,
he's kind of he's now not thatworld is flat. It's all about
me and this and that and theother thing. And you know, he
had all those bouncing around from thecharts. Yeah, he was just he
was just he was kind of rocker. Yeah, he was kind of off
his rocker a little bit. Andnow he's like and the only thing I
don't know this I attribute that maybeto you start realizing I'm thirteen, fourteen

(02:22):
years and I might not get anotherchance. I mean, my career is
going to be over sooner. HereI have a chance. So maybe he's
focusing more on playing quality basketball.I Burrell told me that the two big
guys they got, they got themduring the season, and so they were
probably doing the same thing when Connleywent and got Gobat because he knew he
needed to beat a joker with severalbig men. They're probably Dallas Is front

(02:43):
office is going, there's Minnesota, there's Joker. We better go get some
big men. And the guys theygot apparently are pretty good players. I
don't think they match up to ours, but they're good. So they're a
good rebounding, shot blocking. Peoplewatch the series, I think, well,
it should be a very good series. That's why they're in the Western
Conference Finals. I don't think Ithink we got a pretty good example of
that. As heavily favored as Bostonis, and they should have lost that

(03:04):
game, you know, ten timesover against Indiana last night, and that
was self inflicted by the Pacers, especially the end of the game that happened
to Minnesota Wolves fans, Minnesota sportsfans would have been the old refrain,
typical Minnesota sports. How do youmelt down in a game like that when
it's literally all you had to waseither call time out, get the ball

(03:25):
and bounce and the game is over. But they didn't. And it's not
to suggest that, you know, can Indiana recover from that. Yeah,
they did last series and they gotlost to the Knicks early on. They
got a good team, but thatwas one they just cannot allow to let
through their grasp. Anyway, wemove forward because all we care about right
now is what's going on at TargetCenter tonight. And this town is buzzing,

(03:47):
no doubt about it. You're buzzing. You've been waiting twenty years for
this. I have no I'm notgonna lie. I mean, we've covered
just sat down with We're doing aseventy fifth anniversary of w CCO television,
and we sat down today with Isat down with Mike Max and Tom Ryder

(04:08):
and we kind of reminisced about sothe stories we covered, the pros and
cons and technology, the weather.Well for a while, well that Channel
four you weren't well you actually werea Channel four. But anyway, Yeah,
I mean the twenty years has goneby in a flash, and then

(04:29):
I think even longer than that twentyyears sins they've been in the finals.
But watching this team since its inception, you know, with the Metrodome,
Yeah, it's it's and we knowthere's been so many missteps along the way,
both management wise, drafts, justplayer acquisitions. It's been one comedy
of airs for the most part afteranother. So to have all these pieces

(04:54):
kind of in place, and Ithink why fans have really kind of gravitated
to this. And you know, they have the superstars, superstars, they
have Aunt, they have Kat who'semerging in this what eighth ninth year as
a as really a solid two wayplayer. But I think it's the it's
this collective sort of feel about thisteam. Defense first, mentality, the

(05:17):
camaraderie, the feeling that they kindof represent, you know, more of
a blue collar kind of approach tothe game of NBA basketball, that defense
wins, and that the fans havereally grasped onto. I mean, Nas
Reeds of course, has become afull hero in this town, and Mike
Conley's a fan favorite. They gotthe bench with you know, Ni Kail

(05:41):
of Alexander Walker and Nas as wementioned, sixth Man of the Year.
So yeah, I mean there's alot of elements that are in their favor
that I don't even think we're therein two thousand and four when they faced
a better Laker team and the Wolveswere hurting at that point with Cassell's injury.
I think when Herbiak was nicked upand they were not as good as
LA that year, I don't youcertainly can't say that this time around.

(06:05):
Not to suggest they're gonna they're gonnasweep them, they're gonna win in five
or whatever it is. Dallas presentsits own set of problems, but I
think after what happened with Denver,I don't see them stopping now. I
think, if anything, that's goingto re energize them, especially opening up
at home. We know they've gottenfresh year at home against Denver. I'd

(06:26):
be shocked to see that happen againtonight. To have that kind of performance,
I think they're going to be lockedin and uh, you know it's
gonna be a very exciting start towhat would probably still be a long series.
Sorry, this was you're just listening. Well, I was listening to
This is Client R. I hadto do a text. This is big,
this is worth big money. Well, I didn't want to interrupt you.

(06:47):
No, and that's right. No, I'm sorry, I just had
to do it. Sorry, No, I think you I think you summed
up quite succinctly. What do youthink of the Doncicic character. I mean,
rather large for a guard, right, I would call him a poor
man's joker. He's a big man. He's a bit of a defensive liability.

(07:10):
I think he's playing a little bitbetter defensively. He's got some he's
got some knee issues that could flareup that slowed him down a little bit.
He's not you know, he's nota necessarily always a graceful guy.
But he's very very effective at atso many things. I mean, he's
a great passer, certainly, aterrific shooter, does a lot of things
with his teammates that sets them up. And you know, I think he

(07:34):
can be exposed defensively. I'm youknow, I I assume, you know,
that's see what the matchups are tonight. But I was through Jaden McDaniels
would start on him. I thinkthat makes the most sense with his length
at six' eight, you know, and and Donsi's you know, having
the ball in his hands as muchas he does. But it's not just
him, it's just kind of theteam defense, you know that that we've

(07:56):
seen with the Wolves. But yeah, he's a he's I mean, this
is fun. I mean they've gonefrom you know, Kevin Durant and Booker
and those guys to the Joker toDonzich. I mean, you're you're you're
running the gauntlet of of the topstars the potentially they would have faced in
the West that we're still you know, breathing. And the Clippers got eliminated

(08:18):
by this team. Okay, seegot eliminated by this team. Obviously,
the Lakers were vanquished by by Denver, so they have to, you know,
worry about Anthony Davis and Lebron andthey were fading fast. You know
what happened with Golden State. Soyeah, this is fun. I mean,
this is the stars are out andthis is what you want. You

(08:39):
want to beat the best. Ialways like, I like to see them
at their at at at their best, and I think the Wolves are healthy.
You know, commonly got that littletricky little I don't know if it's
a calf, whatever it is,but certainly didn't seem to bother them all
that much last game. So it'llbe electric tonight. It should be lots
of fun and people are are certainlyreally excited in this city for so many

(09:01):
reasons, and it's been a longtime coming. Both teams seem to have
a little stick touitiveness to it.You know, the Wolves down as much
as they were in the in thein the seventh game, and then did
I read that right that Dallas wasway behind. Yeah, they were down
by seventeen, and they came backto world game. So it's not like
you have a couple of teams thatseem like, well, let's just fold

(09:22):
it up here and you know, wait till next game. They both can
they can both score, and theycan both play defenses. Yeah, I
think, you know, the coachingmatchup is interesting with Jason Kidd, who
played a lot of course in Dallas, and then people remember him. It's
just, you know, a greatbasketball player and what Chris Finch has done
and and uh, the adjustments, and we'll be talking about that as a
series goes on. I mean,we talked about it quite a bit with

(09:43):
the Denver series. It's a youknow, it's a series. It's you
know, there are games of adjustments. We don't know what to expect.
The Wolves beat him three out offour times, but you know, Kyrie
wasn't in those games. I meanit was they didn't have the the the
extra players they had now that theDallas has, so you really don't We
know, we've already learned our lessonfrom the Phoenix series. You can't take

(10:05):
anything out of regular season matchups meansabsolutely zilch. So you know, you
want to get off to a goodstart. We've seen teams take big leads.
We know that on both sides, both with the Wolves and both with
what happened. Even last night,Boston scored the first twelve points of the
game. And it really doesn't matterbecause there's always going to almost almost always,

(10:28):
with the exception of a game sixwhen the Wolves just destroyed Denver.
Here it's a game of runs andteams are going to have them, and
there's too much talent on both sides. To have a team go quietly into
the night, you've got to beready for you know, their counterpunching.
But yeah, I'm this is great. I couldn't ask you couldn't ask for
a better matchup. I have aI'm a controversial question for you on the

(10:54):
other side of the Oh, well, let's do that. Let's pause here.
Tennebee is got a keyword force. This is this is more than just
inner basketball. It goes beyond basketballsbasketball related. But the question goes beyond
basketball, right It's something I thinkeverybody wants the answer to. I think
you might have it. We'll findout right now, Timmy with a keyword

beer. And Red started to wingreat prize as all details of campan dot
com here at calendar thirteen fourteen.Past common Man program off comedies tend to

(12:20):
be. Here's Mark Rose in NBAWestern Conference Finals begin tonight at the Bullseye.
Here's the most important question. Forgetabout matchups, forget about who we
think is gonna win, who's gonnalose, what the significance of winning game
one is, particularly if it wouldbe Dallas to win on the road,
whatever the case may be. Whereis Charles Barkley eating dinner tonight? Do
you know? Have you heard yet? I know he did it, man,

(12:41):
he's last night. He did.Yeah. I saw a picture of
him with some of the staff.Okay, so I don't know. I
sewell tonight it's you know, it'sgot to be the pretty earliest. That's
true, pre production meetings and etcetera, et cetera. I don't think
he's gonna no, you make alot afterwards. Barkley is known to at
least he was back in the dayof being a kind of a night owl.

(13:03):
Maybe he's quieted down over the years, but I have no idea.
Unless he's having an early dinner somewhere, he probably has to be over target
Center pretty early for meetings, etcetera, et cetera. Do you know
if he enjoyed the meal? Ihave no idea. Do you know if
he paid for it? Mark Parish? Mark Parrish did. Yeah, that's
what I kind of figured. Iheard he likes his steak well done.
I don't know why well done.Well, I'm I'm like, see,

(13:24):
here's my problem. I order astate. I am a medium. See
I'm a medium. But here's theproblem. Sometimes when you are now,
probably this doesn't happen at Manny's.I would hope, but I will.
I've been in Manning's a couple oftimes. But some know you order medium.
It's more closer to rare. AndI'm just not a rare kind of
guy. But then if you askfor medium, well then sometimes it comes

(13:48):
out and it's well done. SoI just go. I just I say
medium and cross my finger. Iwould say medium plus is a good way
of asking. I've never heard that. Yeah, you can ask the medium
plus, which means you know you'llhave a little red still inside, which
is good. I mean that's whereI like him. I don't like it
rare or medium rare. That's justmy own personal preference. So usually if
you ask for it, whatever steakhouseyou're going to, that's normally. I

(14:09):
never heard the plus thing. That'syeah, a medium plus. I think
that is. I don't know howrelatively new term it is. Well,
I've always heard this too, wherethat if you're at like a Mammy's that's
a five star restaurant features you know, executive chefs that are very good at
what they do. If you ordera steak well done, they're just like,

(14:31):
you got to be kidding me.Don't insult the chef like that isn't
catch. Yeah, right, well, and that's one of my issues.
But here's what I'll tell you. Here's the other thing I'll tell you wasn't.
One of the things you were supposedto do is something like if the
steak was so perfectly done, youwould like send a butter knife back to

(14:52):
the chef or something to say,I can cut this with a butter knife.
It said good, there's some oldsomebody to Yeah, that was there
kind of their signature thing that whenSid was roaming around over there. Yeah,
I hope. I hope the crew, like anybody else who visits town.
There's so many great restaurants in downtownright now in North Loop that are
that are worth exploring. So theyhave tomorrow off and uh, I'm sure

(15:16):
that they have got plenty of recommendationswhere to go. Kevin Harland probably has
some pretty places to go, consideringhe's here also for NFL games, so
he has a pretty good beat onof it. There's been a lot of
you know, there are a lotof new places, a lot of great
chefs in town, and uh,you know, they'll probably expand their her
restaurant horizons a little bit more. Will you approached Charles Dye and ask him

(15:37):
did you take him out to dinner? No, I will not. He
was at Rosens years ago, Imentioned, and that was when he was
still playing here, and he wasterrific. He was fun. He was
flirting with one of the waitresses, but that's he was. Of course he
was but nothing that was pretty innocent, but he was. He was great,
he was recharming and uh, funtime that was that he was still

(16:00):
playing. Now you said you sawa picture of Charles at Manny's last night.
Was uh, was Kenny the jetwith or shack with? It was
just it was I don't know.It was just a picture of Charles with
I think some of the staff, the Shack would be hard to miss.
It would be very hard to miss. He would definitely have a seven appetite,
seven to one. I remember takingmy kids saw Shack and he was

(16:22):
playing for the Orlando Magic. Wewent out to the Wall of America and
we went to UH. Kids liketo go to Planet Hollywood back in the
day out there and then before wego to a movie, and Shaq was
eating out there with some of histeammates for the Orlando Magic. And that
was a pretty cool, pretty coolmoment that was many moons ago. But

(16:44):
yeah, I don't know you No, I didn't see who else was with
him. I just kind of glancedat it quickly. Here would be I
know, he didn't ask me.And there were all sorts of people that
wanted to, you know, theywanted to respond to Charles restaurant gestures because
we all gotta I gotta get mymy But that's a social media's it's it's
it's a place where look at me, look at me, look at me.
I have a radio show to dothat. But if I were to

(17:07):
suggest a restaurant to uh, CharlesBarkley would be KF and the restaurant why
not. You know, we hadthe common man sandwich was was which was
blowney, That's what it was.It was a blowy wow. Well there's
that too, I would suggest KFEand the restaurant that was that was my

(17:29):
well you have. It reminded methe other day of my one of my
favorite moments of cafe in the restaurantwe were broadcasting, all right, had
coming right when we're coming back frombreak, the waitress hands me a bill,
a bill, and so we openedthe segment and it comes back you're
hot. And then all of asudden, you hear me, this ain't
w c CEO the restaurant. I'mnot paying for lunch at a restaurant that's

(17:53):
named after k and I got asandwich on the menu. We're not going
to do that. That's where itall started to go south force at the
end when they wanted to charge theair talent not going to work. And
again you can think that's temperamental talent. I wouldn't expect that at Manny's or
even at Mark Rosen's old restaurant,But at a restaurant named after your broadcasting

(18:15):
there you really couldna charge you fora sandwich. It was in Roseville,
wasn't it. Yeah, it wasn'tVille. And now I don't it's I
don't know. Isn't there an NFLteam, by the way, though,
that was charging their players for lunchat the facility? What I have known
that remember last year when the whenthe NFL team reviews, Vikings got glowing
reviews. Yeah, and one ofthe teams did charge them with to look

(18:37):
that up, that sounds almost topay for their own food cafeteria. That
sounds impossible. It's you know, look, baseball players they come into town
for three four games streets like whenthe Yankees are in town week or whatever.
You know, as if these guysare making enough money, they get
a pretty nice healthy per deem thatthey get and they get paid in cash.
It's not it's not like, oh, just submit your receipt when you

(18:57):
get back after road trip. Youknow, they each get you know,
one hundred and fifty hundred and eightydollars whatever, maybe even more now to
go grab a bite, even eventhough they have a quite a spread,
even at the clubhous. It wasthe Cardinals was Arizona Cardinals, Yeah,
because they had like those they havethose team report cards. Yeah, I
said, the Cardinals are the onlyteam in the NFL that charges players for

(19:18):
dinner by a payroll deduction. Cardinalsplayers also have to pay for every meal
purchase at the facilities. Come on, that been, well, who is
it? I don't know who ownsit anymore. I don't know if that
family is still part of That's funny. Yeah, no, wonder that when
they did the uh, when theydid those survey report cards. Yeah,

(19:40):
Cardinals don't. I wouldn't think that. They must not have fared very well,
So it's not a no. Youcould also say, though, dude,
you're come back could be Well, now, I'm not siding with the
Cardinals, but I guess the Ithink all those guys can afford to pay
for meal. Well, but yeah, they're not at the facility though,
well their staff no, I know, But I'm I'm just saying, it's
not like, you know, it'slike, oh, poor guys, you

(20:02):
know where they go? Yeah, where where's Kyler Murray? Gonna find him
money to pay for that meal?So how about but you also want them
eating the right food? Yeah, right, like otherwise they might just go
and get McDonald's. And he saidcorrect. How about how about this,
Rosie. If you see Chuck goup to him tonight, and why don't

(20:25):
you suggest that family friendly restaurant Hooters? Yeah, because I could you know
what to night at free? Icould take them to Hooters. Yeah,
because it's a family, family restaurant. Your son wanted to go there,
he took them there. It's stillthere, isn't it. I don't know,
I think, but maybe you coulddo that. Well it's right next
to plane in Hollywood's so why not, right, Well, that's where we

(20:48):
used to go. Yeah, that'swhere you used to go. Let's take
our final break. I want totalk about your Twins club. They have
a little clothes door meeting. Theybring back the Winter Schnitzel to days and
they crushed the Nats ten nothing yesterday. We'll talk about that. We'll certainly
get back to Nuggets Wolves as well. I want to get Marks. Maybe
you already said it when I wasn'tpaying attention. How you think the series

(21:12):
is going to turn out? Youknow who wins and what by? How
many games? To how many games? We'll do that on this side of
the break. The Common Man programwas common tenemy and Mark Rose and here
in the Failure marteen fourteen Past CommonMan program. I'm common He's Kennedy Mark

(21:48):
Rosen here as well. I thinkthe Twins just finished that. They wrap
it up now. I think theywon three to one day. Well,
I got the last I saw theleading three to one over someone text very
well. But Twins win three toone, so they take they lose the
first game to the Nats to extendtheir losing s line. It looks like
they're up three to two in thebottom of the ninth. I don't think

(22:11):
it was. It was three toone going in the bottom night. The
Nationals have already scored there. Whyis somebody trying to get me going?
They tried to say it's over,it's three to one. They wanted me
to fake news is what they werelooking for, because you fall for it
every time. I guess I did, and so it's actually three to two.
But they they lost the first gameof the series to the Nats instead
of the losing street of seven games. Then they win last night. Here's

(22:33):
what it says in the Fisher RepFactory West Side. Twins scored only twelve
runs over the past seven games.Had the rally sausage they left behind in
Minneapolis after they were swept by theYankees mailed's capital. It made it to
the visitors clubhouse in a ups boxaround three point thirty, and it was
immediately placed near the batting cage. It's only ridiculous if it doesn't work.

(22:55):
Here's what Buston said. He hadtwo home runs last night, Miranda had
one and Castro had the other.Says, that's our lucky sausage. We
didn't have it in Cleveland. Thingsdidn't go right. Getting it back was
big. You guys are gonna haveto hop on the train. I done
touched it now, now, youknow me. I like having fun,
I really do. I like youknow me, La. I'm prone to
exaggeration, the montages, the NonStopnonsense, Tom wounds called oggery. But

(23:23):
if you're really relying in the luckof a rally sausage, we're in trouble.
I think there are superstitions in sports. There are superstitions in sports.
Then there's this stuff is insanity.Yeah, I think I don't know what
else to say. I mean,a sausage. This isn't you know.
Typical base baseball players in particularly arevery superstitious about their you know, pregame

(23:44):
stuff and how many sticks of gumthey're going to chew, and the way
they put their socks on, andblah blah. You know this is as
a team. I'm quite sure howthey came up with this one. And
we see teams doing different things aroundthe league, celebrating home runs and putting
you know, the fishing jacket on, whatever it is. It's it's fine,
it's all good fun, but thisseems a little absurd. I asked

(24:08):
you a question earlier about the tryit again. Here's what an emailer says,
Hoody who is a rap song frommaster P? It came out in
the nineties. Because I was wondering, did Max what's masterpiece song? I
know that? Make them say, don't do that again? The next one,

(24:32):
don't ever do that? That'll bemy wild Tad Montre last year.
Make them say I was wondering whatthe origin of whody who was from?
Don't come on? It's master P? Well, of course rap song from
master P. Everybody knows that.See if you can find master Sun played
high school basketball here really yeah, matter of fact, both of them did

(24:59):
he have two? They were playingfor Minnie Ha Academy and I think they
both left anyway. Yeah, somaybe they'll hang on the window. Day
is three two. We'll keep youposted on and that's before there. You
know, I actually have a copyof KFE and the restaurant menu items are
sitting. Yes, we'll have that. For instance, here's here's a look

(25:22):
at some of the items. Forgotabout them. Tennebe chicken fingers, heaping
helping hand dipped chicken tenders serve withoutany seasoning the way Blandon would like it.
We are not allowed to serve anydipping sauces with these blanding things.
They're yucky. Then there's the DennyGreen Typical day in Buffalo wings. These

(25:45):
juicy wings will make your taste budsfeel like they're caught up in a calcutt
a clipper. They'll swing up,swing down late for an influence. They'll
have you floating on the high road. Then there are the pole add pots
picks. These wonderful Asian dublins canbe ordered in either chicken or poor varieties.
They aren't the best food in town, but at two dollars a dozen,

(26:07):
possibly the cheapest appetizer in the UpperMidwest. Then there's the Gary Anderson
spinach art a choke dip. Deliciouslymelded layers of flavor highlights this savoring,
creamy delight serve with plenty of extratoast points. This appetizer is almost perfect
except for the very final bitter finishingtaste. Then there's the Mark Rosen Waffling

(26:32):
Fries. These golden crispy fries areperfect when you can't decide what to eat
just the same way rolls and can'tdecide when to get on or off the
vandwagon sounds like a good item. There are the chilies. Kick ass chili.
You won't need to scour your giantPerkins menu to know you you'll want
a big bowl of this. Othersstop at eleven. We've packed twelve spices

(26:56):
into this culinary huddle. Available tjack mild or fiery, far of heat
levels. Then there's the rosies nameDrop soup. Oh, this delicious Asian
inspired soup is perfect for those timeswhen you want to enjoy a great starter
before you're entree, but you don'twant to stop dropping names of local celebrities

(27:17):
that you've met. Yeah, Ilike that, it sounds very good.
I remember that Brett favre All beefWiener or to spread far and wide about
this award winning wiener. This wieneris so good you'll be wanting to text
your friends a picture of it.I always love that it rocks and size,
it makes up for and taste andthere you got to remember it can

(27:37):
if the restaurant was a long timeago. I know these are These are
kind of dated, but they're stillthey're pretty good. Then there's the Sludge
three eleven chicken fingers. These handdipped chicken tenders exactly like the ones served
in the Tendabee chicken finger appetizer. But don't tell Sludge. He thinks they're
made just for him. Like hisfavorite band is Andre is pretty bland,

(28:00):
served with the side of arrogance. And then there's the Justin Guard pork medallions.
Two herb crusted golden fried pork medallionsserved over tasteless mashed potatoes. These
medallions are brilliantly played it and justthe right amount to satisfy without causing you
to bust out of your hagars. You will eat this up so fast,

(28:23):
and we'll make you a question whetherthere was one medallion or two one medallions.
So those are items you'll find onthe Andy. You know I missed
that place. Well, it's probablywhy no longer exists, that those menu
items really might not be the verybest in the world. So let me

(28:44):
ask you a question, Wolves versusthe Mavericks. Who will win the series
by how many games? How manygames? And why do you think whoever
you pick will win the series?Well, given the road to where we
are now and the stars that theWolves have faced with their number one defense

(29:07):
in the NBA, and we startwith Phoenix after Phoenix destroyed them in the
regular season, and how they shutdown Kevin Durant and Booker and Beale the
first round, and then we knowwhat they had to slog their way through
with the defending champs who were hellbent on getting back and winning again.
I mean, Mike Malone made itvery clear after what happened in the first
two games. The Wolves slumped hereat home, they came back, they

(29:32):
got off the mat, they blewthem out in game six, and we
know what happened in game seven, coming back from twenty down in the second
half, and you know, facingsome of the best players in the world,
they got their hands full with thisDallas team. But I just feel
that they're overall defense, their overalldepth is better than Dallas's. I think

(29:56):
they just they feel to me likethey're more on a Dallas. They won
a championship, they've been in thefinals here with a couple of years,
and they have the brilliant Kyrie Irving, who's clutch in the fourth quarter.
I wouldn't think he's gonna light itup, you know, during the course
of the game. I just thinkMinnesota's got too much for him, I
really do. I think there's therole players are playing at such a high

(30:21):
level, and then they got theygot the closer they got Aunt, and
we've seen how he can just willthis team and will himself to be at
his best when the pressure's on,and sometimes guys shot away from that spotlight
at twenty two. Aunt give itto me more and more and more.
And I think he's inspiring his olderteammates, what Gobert is doing, what

(30:45):
Conley's doing. I just I liked. I mean, i'd like the look
of this team. I would neverhave said this back in two thousand and
four they were undermanned against the Lakers. I don't feel that way at all.
So I would take the Wolves insix. I mean, it doesn't
matter how many games it goes, obviously, but I think it's still going
to be a series. I thinkdal certainly will have their opportunities to win,

(31:07):
and probably will win a couple ofgames. But I just think Minnesota
is going to be too good.I really do. I think they've survived.
How do you come back and whatthey did unprecedented fashion at Denver in
a game seven and not catapult yourselfinto another stratosphere after that? I mean,
I just don't see it. Thatgame to me, the way they

(31:33):
came back, it was such aboost in every aspect of their confidence and
their teamwork and what they do.So I like Minnesota to win tonight.
Now Mams were down seventeen in theirgame and the same thing. Looking I
said, think it will be nopushover. I agree. I mean they
were behind, look like they were. I just like Minnesota. I got

(31:55):
in five. That an official prediction, so I ever they can tell with
you. I think the Wolves infour, I think we're gonna sweep this
time. It's like the phoenix singsin my heart could use it. Now,
you don't want to go seven? This was you know what? I
didn't sleep between the end of Gamesix and the start of Game seven,

(32:19):
and then it was hard to getto sleep after that. That's how much
it affected. We're thinking about thefirst tea it. Yeah, well that's
the thing. If it goes toolate tonight, I g you can't it's
an early start. Is if itgoes into double overtime, well, they
don't have any of those nine thirtystarts, So I think from a standpoint
from a fans perspective, and I'veheard a lot about this too that you
know, I want to stay atmy twelve year old or whatever ten year

(32:40):
old son or daughter wants to stayup and watch it. It's a school
night tonight. Still for the mostpart, you know, they probably have
those special permission to stay up alittle in the past the normal time,
maybe at the ten o'clock at least, they don't have any of those nine
thirty starts. They're all at sevenor seven thirty ten to b who why
went and where? Splitting the differencebetween the two going wolves in five five?

(33:04):
Which one will the Wolves lose?Do you think first one in Dallas?
Probably the game I'm gonna send.Yeah, yeah, that's probably the
one though. That's twins did.By the way, it is official,
made a dicey there in the ninthRosen, you're getting rapped, dur and
give it believe Homer, and thena runner in second this one says kiss

(33:27):
a death rose and picking the wolves. Here's another in March Rose in just
jinxed it. You're gonna get beatby the Maps now. And then how
about you said you thought that winwould catapult the wolves, same way the
Minneapolis Miracle catapulted the Vikings in Phillythe following week a mark, by the
way, Rosen is a fraud. No, but you said that wind would

(33:51):
catapult the wolves, and I thinkmost of us thought that would catapult that
Minniepus miracle. I remember you werepretty excited, well it was excited about
the game because we were going tobring it home. You picked him to
beat Philadelphia. I did not,Yes, you did. I did not
pick them to beat philm You actuallyare going to try to tell me you
won one hundred thousand Radio said beforethe Vikings game, I think the Vikings

(34:16):
are gonna lose to Philadelphia. Idon't believe he did. That wouldn't be
in character, No, it wouldn't. But maybe you did. I don't.
I think there's gonna be a big, a big, big MIW series.
Really, he just had one.He just played a great series against
Denver, but he had to doit expending a lot of energy having to
defend Nicola Jokic. Now he's gonnahave a little more freedom defensively, He's

(34:38):
not gonna have one of those marqueematchups, so he can he can save
a little you can save a littleenergy on the defensive side of things,
and he'll be involved a lot onoffensively. Great take thank you, do
you, But you won't get infull trouble as much because of keep an
eye on. Here's a controversial question. Do you think that Ant and Cat

(35:00):
have to all play don Chicic andKyrie to win the series? Well?
Do you think they have to ordo you think you could still win if
Donic and Kyrie are brilliant? Canyou? I think they can. I
think they can. I'm saying breakeven. I don't know if you're looking
at statistically or just in clutch time. I mean yeah, I mean I
don't know. Statistically. I thinkthey will because I don't think Kyrie isn't

(35:23):
necessarily going to be a volume scorerin this series. I think you look
for Kyrie, especially in the fourthquarter. He's very clutch. But I
just think Minnesota's other players have moreand look, they're going to face some
really good players we haven't heard of. I really haven't followed a lot.
I mean the average basketball fan thatthey have acquired that have really helped them

(35:45):
give them the length that that thatDenver didn't have. Let's say underneath they're
they're they're very active, very good. But I think that you know,
na I should have a big timegood some big games and Jade McDaniel.
So I don't think it has tobe just what those two guys do as

(36:07):
far as outscoring them in terms ofthe box score. No, I think
it's more than I think Ant.That's the great thing about Ant particular,
he loves to play defense. Howmany guys at that in that position wants
to shut down the other guy andhe just he lives for it and he's
challenged by it. And that's whatmakes him such a great player at this

(36:28):
young age. That he's not aone dimensional player. Far from it.
He loves to play defense. TendToby, I don't want to put words
in your mouth bosh. I do. I like doing it all the time,
but I'm not going in this cause. But I think you said earlier.
Yeah, maybe you didn't say itthis way, but you're kind of
intimated that you thought maybe Dallas mightbe the biggest roadblock, that you don't
think Boston is very deep. Iwas just I was commenting off of one

(36:51):
game last night in which I sawboth teams play very little defense. Right,
do you Mark Rosen think Dallas isthe biggest obstacle, the biggest roadblock,
that if the Wolves do get bythe mass, they'll steam roll the
Celtics. No, no, no, I do not. I think Boston
is still the team to beat.I know they had their struggle, but

(37:12):
I think Indiana's very is better thanadvertised. But I think I want Boston
to win that series. I reallydo. I want Minnesota if you know,
obviously they have to do their thing. But I think Timberwolves Celtics final
would be as memorable as it gets. I mean that. I mean we
haven't had one. He has notplayed for a championship. We all know
that. And they have the vauntedBoston Celtics with all their championship pedigree going

(37:38):
back to you know Bill Russell andall the championship. Yeah, but you
know what, pedigree stuff doesn't meananything. But it's like what Finch said,
he said, I don't care,Yeah, but what the Wolves.
I don't care what the franchise inthe past. All I care about is
then now I know what you're saying. I don't. No, it doesn't

(37:59):
mean anything for the outcome of thisseries. But I just think when you
hear Boston Celtics, you think it'shard Indiana Pacers, You think of what
Reggie Miller. You know, it'sthe Celtics have that aura about them.
That's all. It's not about thatJohn Halechak and Larry Burder going to and
Kevin McHale are going to come outin the retirement and play for them,
and Kevin Garnett. But it's theCeltics. It's the Celtics. Of course

(38:22):
you want to play them. AllI know is if the Wolves play the
Celtics, the three opponents the Wolvesplay it are all better than any team
Boston has had to play against theNBA, no doubt about it. Cats
in trouble against PJ, Washington,MAVs and six. Sorry, guys,
we haven't played this team in full. No, they're they're good. They
PJ. Washington has you know, been clutch for them. They're much they're

(38:47):
much. You know, they're muchbetter than people. And they're their bench
is now very not their bench, but their other starters are very good.
All I'm going to tell you,Mark, this is just to save from
the heartbreak. You've been waiting forthis for twenty years. Remember nineteen ninety
eight. I don't want to remember. I'm just saying, but remember what
happened. We thought we were invincible. Well, we were beating everybody there.

(39:08):
We were fifteen and one, Wedestroyed whoever it was in the first
round of the playoffs. All ofa sudden, we're in the NFC Championship
game. We're right there, We'reabout to eliminate Atlanta, and then wide
write Well, the difference is theVikings were prohibitive favorites, even though Atlanta
was fifteen and two or whatever theywere. Hell, they were fourteen thirteen

(39:29):
and whatever the record was. TheWolves aren't even big favorites in this series
against Dallas. This is not thesame in terms of there. You know,
if you look at the fourteen writersthat I saw the national writers.
I think it's like eight and sixor something. Picking the wall. Really,
yeah, it's pretty close. Imean, there are a lot of
people feel Dallas is going to winthe series. So who are those people?

(39:51):
I don't know who they are.I'm just looking. I just looked
at the glance. Raymond Green willbe here tonight too. Where is he
going to have dinner? Where didhe have dinner last night? I don't
know. A room service and hehad to go out? He had crow,
he didn't That's what he should havehad. He'll get booed. I
don't know where those guys are sitting. But yeah, next year is going

(40:12):
to be it for T and T. That's it. They're they're changing.
NBC is going to be back inthe game. And uh, you're servous
about the game. Look at youside a Genie's land. Yeah, and
I rubbed it. The genie shoppedout and said I have three wishes,
Master, I'd say I want threemore, and then my next wish would
be could Rockford File start at teno'clock rather than seven o'clock? And then

(40:37):
that it would be seven seven thirtyright now, right now? Wait,
that's how pumped you up? Howpumped up and house so forward. I
am looking for this. I can'twait for more of Brandon's montages. There's
something that just every one in theU. Cities. Did you hear Deuces?
I did not. I've been communicatingwith Deuce, but I did not
hear DEUCEU did a hell of them? What? Yes? No? And

(40:59):
did I hear it? Yeah?We don't have time for It's too bad.
It was. I should have youknow what to be somebody you know
that? What do you think ofthat? Somebody responding to deuces montage said
Tenneby is going to hear that inhis head over what do you think of
that? It was pretty good thefirst time, now was it? Well?

(41:23):
There weren't a lot of lyrics thathe had to mix his his sound
bites into, so he didn't haveto do that part of it. He
mixed in a lot of Max soundbites from his his fan line rant after
a lot of hoo doy who thisand who that? Yeah, but Deuce
did a nice job. Good.Remember there there is a Deuce in producer.

(41:49):
The montage was so good we allgot douse bumps. That's very good.
That's very good. So there yougo, all right, It is
wide left? Come on, common, get your curses right. Wasn't Gary
Anderson wide right left? It wasa buffalo kicker, I think, Yeahry
Anderson was definitely wide left, okay, and so was Blair Walsh way wide

(42:14):
left. I can't. I guessmy memory just doesn't barely made it in
the stadium. Yeah, well, there you go. Look forward to seeing
you tonight at the game. Ilook for you in the crowd every time,
because they'll do though. If thecabra angle is just right, you
can see up in the media section. I was like, okay, sure
you can. I'll be you nextto uh Danny Barrero. You in you

(42:36):
in big ticket? Yeah, ourusual our usual seats. I'll be in
my usual seat. Yeah right, the carcalounger a bad seat. I might
seat in the house. I mightuh retire to the man Grotto tonight and
watch it in front of the fiftyfive inchas and usually no deuces in Aberdeen.

(42:58):
