War of the Roses every Thursday atseven thirty five. Hold on seven thirty
five. I know it's unprofessional. You don't see Ken Barlowe doing this.
I get that. No, youdon't see Lester Holt going Hold on one
second War of the Roses every Thursday. Yeah, seven thirty five and nine
oh five on KTWB. Are youready right now, let's do it.

(00:23):
I mean by late oh, TaylorSwift name, call in to win and
you could be going to her newher concert in Indianapolis. Here is the
name, Nicole Sultan. Nicole Sultanin New Brighton. Call me within ten
minutes and thirteen seconds at six fiveone nine eight nine KDWB, and we'll

(00:46):
put you in the drawing, whichwe're doing it in about a week.
You're also going to get the Phantomclear vinyl disc of her latest album.
That's pretty cool. If you arenot Nicole, be here at two twenty
with Fallon and Colt. They'll doanother name. But right now we're looking
for one name and one name only. Nicole Saltan. Call me within ten
minutes and thirteen seconds at six fiveone nine eight nine KDWB and we'll put

(01:07):
you in the drawing for the tripto Indy to see Taylor Swift. While
we're waiting, what's up? What'dyou find on Reddit? Jenny? Normally
I do something a little more upbeator kind of dramatic on Reddit, but
today I want to talk about somethingthat happened at a graduation with a speech
that actually really frustrated me, andI think pretty much all women across the
United States of America. Wow,all women, I think, So okay,

(01:30):
we'll do it next. Some voicesyou know, some you might know,
but they'll all make up the DaveRyan Show soon on KDWB. Oh,
Jenny's been on Reddit. By theway, we have thirteen seconds for
that person to call us back.If they don't do it, then that

(01:53):
goes away. So and time isfive four three to one. Goodbye.
That did not work? No,I know, Can I get the trip?
We'll do another one coming up attwo twenty this afternoon with Falon and
Colet. Listen for your name ifyou sign up and you are good to
go for the Taylor Swift trip tosee her tour in Indianapolis. What'd you

(02:16):
find on Reddit? So? I'mgoing to play a piece of audio that
has been going viral for the lastcouple of days and it's been all over
Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, everything, and it is the kicker of the
Kansas City Chiefs. Gave a speechat a commencement at a college and people
are fired up about it. SoI will play the audio first so you
can hear, ladies present today,Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. You should

(02:40):
be proud of all that you haveachieved to this point in your young lives.
I want to speak directly to youbriefly because I think it is you
the women who have had the mostdiabolical lives told to you. How many
of you are sitting here now aboutto cross this stage and are thinking about
all the promotions and titles you aregoing to get in your career. Some
of you may go on to leadsuccessful careers in the world, but I

(03:01):
would venture to guess that the majorityof you are most excited about your marriage
and the children you will bring intothis world. I can tell you that
my beautiful wife, Isabelle would bethe first to say that her life truly
started when she began living her vocationas a wife and as a mother.
So oh, there is a lotmore to that speech that is very,

(03:23):
very problematic and that I take issuewith. I'm going to focus on this
part right now though, but basically, this man got up in front of
an entire stadium of people who justput in four years of hard work to
get a college degree, to mostlikely use that degree to get a career,
and then proceeded to say to women, yeah, congratulations, maybe you

(03:45):
want to get a nice job titleand advance in a career, but really,
the most important thing you should belooking forward to is becoming a wife
and a mother. And it firedeveryone up, including me, if you
can tell in my voice right now, because how dare you come into a
graduation and tell someone that they justworked so hard for that, Oh,
you know, forget about it.It doesn't matter your gender as a female

(04:10):
means that this is what you shouldreally be looking forward to, is becoming
a wife and a mother. Ithought what was interesting, and I'd not
heard this before because I've been outof touch up in a vacation. I
thought, what was interesting is thatas a guy, he's telling women what
they should find important, which Idon't even let Jenny doesn't even let me
recommend a restaurant for lunch and I'mlike, Okay, let's go to Crave.

(04:31):
I am not going, well,Rojo, don't tell me where to
go. So I think it's forlike any guy to explain to women what
they should find important in life, any more than me explaining to a stranger
what they should find important in life. Right, So it's been anyways,

(04:54):
it's been going viral all over theplace, and so of course, you
know, TikTok's the best spot tofind the comedy because he also proceeded to
say some things that were very homophobicand problematic in that way as well.
Yes, and he you know,he gets into his faith and stuff,
and I nothing against faith for me, of course, I believe everyone has
the right to have their faith, and that's amazing that you do. But

(05:16):
he was very much projecting his ownquote unquote values. But at the same
time, people on TikTok are comingat him, including certain people who went
to college with him, and said, hmm, didn't you hook up with
a gentleman one time? And ofcourse this is hearsay. It's hearsay,
so we don't know. But thisman is out there, you know,
preaching about things that it just feelslike he might secretly be doing in the

(05:41):
background. It's funny because I'm goingto do a speech at a at a
high school in Elk River next week, are you yeah? And they,
you know, it's an honor toget to go up there and do the
speech for this high school. Andthey asked me, they said, we
need an outline of what you're goingto be talking about. And I was
not taking a bat that, butI've never been asked that before. But

(06:01):
I'm like, yeah, sure,so here's what I'm going to talk about.
And it's like, you know,I've got these stories that kind of
interconnect and there's a lesson to themor whatever. But I wonder if they
maybe should have asked him, whatare you going to what is your message?
I think that they would have assumedthat he would have something motivational because
he plays and he plays for anNFL see that's won multiple Super Bowls,

(06:25):
so they probably thought it was goingto be a little bit more motivational.
And he might take that as whathe said as motivational, but it is
quite the opposite for women who aresitting in that auditorium hearing that speech.
This text message, I'm gonna readthis at katiewb one it's Sarah short code.
I kind of get where he's comingfrom. My husband would never be
able to work is seventy plus hoursa week at work and excel. He

(06:46):
is without me like he is withoutme staying home with our children. But
he didn't force me to stay home. I forced him to let me.
Aka, we made the choice together. I fully understand that not every woman's
goal is to stay home, butthat alto doesn't make me less than women
who work. Like some insinuate onTikTok, I don't think that anyone is

(07:09):
saying that you are not lesson.Of course, you're not less son because
you stay at home. That isalso an extremely, extremely hard job to
do. But what the problem isis him saying that he said the majority
of you are most likely most excitedabout your marriage and children, while he
just said, you know, someof you will have successful careers. But
I would take it as the majorityof you are looking forward to having a

(07:30):
marriage and children, and some peopledon't even want either of those things in
life. So I don't know.I understand that there's probably another side of
TikTok that's making fun of like peoplewho stay home I get it, that's
what TikTok does and whatever. Butfor the most part, I think he
was very wrong in saying that ata graduation ceremony he can have his opinion.
Of course he can, but youdon't say that to a bunch of

(07:53):
people who just worked really hard toget a degree. Yeah. I think
the thing that got me is likehe's explaining how women should feel. I
just wonder because he's young, he'sonly like thirty ish, you would think
that he'd be a little bit moreopen minded than that. No, there's
I mean, of course everything isresurf for seeing of stuff with like Patrick

(08:13):
Mahomes saying that he doesn't even talkto that guy because you know, people
have different views on teams, andhe said that he just doesn't even talk
to the kicker because they have veryvery different views. All right, thanks
for that, Jenny on Reddit. We'll be back in a second. What's
the keyword this hour? Do wehave the keyword? Keyword is money?

(08:35):
Money? Go use that keyword moneyon KDWB dot com to get that one
thousand dollars. Dave's dirt coming upin a couple of seconds. Celebrity couple
breaking up another celebrity allegations against sexualabuse, and that is coming up in
a minute on Dave's Dirt after ShabooziSong of Summer, telling you guys,
it's a bar song. Tipsy onKATIEWB keeping you up to date with all

together have been seen in public latelyand they are using separate Netflix accounts.
I don't know that. Billie Eilishbig day for her tonight. Her album
comes out tonight at midnight. We'llrelease the whole thing and track it tonight
on kt WB at midnight. Solisten for Billie Eilish tonight if you're up,

(09:48):
and then tomorrow we're gonna play hernew song Lunch like several times through
the day and it is her albumhit Me Hard and Soft, and that'll
be out tonight at midnight. It'llprobably displays Taylor Swift the top of the
Billboard Album Chart two. You knowTaylor Swift is a big hero because when
Sophie Turner was divorcing Joe Jonas,Taylor said, oh, here's the keys

(10:11):
to my New York penthouse apartment.Stay there as long as you want.
Okay, wouldn't that be come?I mean, you're not just staying at
your friends on their couch. You'restaying at Taylor Swift's New York penthouse apartment.
I think it's probably an extremely beautifulthing. But I'm sure Sophie Turner
has had plenty of beautiful places. She's from Game of Thrones, she was
married to Joe Jonas. I'm surelike luxury like that, that's just her

(10:31):
normal. Yeah, you're right, and let's see. The House of Representatives
pasted the bill to require full transparencyfrom online ticket brokers that was written right
after Taylor Swift caused Ticketmaster to crash. The so called Ticket Act Transparency and
Charges for key events ticketing forces sellersto display the total ticket price, including

(10:56):
all required fees, in any advertise, marketing or promotional materials. Basically,
so you don't say yes to buyingthe ticket and then go, oh,
it was a three hundred dollars ticket, but with all the up charges,
it's now a thousand dollars ticket. That sounds about right. It is just
crazy how much tickets are. It'salso, you know what, I also
I noticed how expensive fast food isgotten. Yeah, Donald's is wild now.

(11:20):
It has really gotten expensive. ButI don't know if it's because they,
you know, because they told us, they said, if you raised
minimum way or the wage for workers, they're going to raise the rates of
the price of food. But ifI go to get like, okay,
it's a Taco Bell not too longago, and I don't remember. I
just kind of order random things atTaco Bell. I'm not really picky.
It's like, okay, I geta burrito Supreme, crunch rep Supreme,

(11:41):
Gordy to Crunch whatever. And itwas something like twenty five bucks for Taco
Bell, and I'm like, areyou kidding? And that was all just
for you, It's all just forme. I always buy extra though,
don't get judgy with me. Ialways get extra. There's nothing nothing quite
hits like old Taco Bell. Ifully agree with that. You agree cold

(12:03):
Taco Bell. Nothing hits like thesame thing with Wendy's Wendy's used to have
a four for four. It's noteven four dollars anymore. It's damn near
five. Well, yeah, Iremember five five dollars foot long. I
don't know how much a foot longis over its subway, but they're not
five dollars anymore. And I've justbeen in really shocked. I mean,
we were in California and we wouldget fast food, and it was like,

(12:24):
because in California, I think theminimum wage for like all workers in
fast food, if they make overcertain billions of dollars a year, is
twenty five dollars an hour. Guesswhere that twenty five dollars is coming from
because they're upping the price of thefood. That's what they told us was
going to happen. So I don'tknow what the answer is. Yeah,
I don't know either. I justknow that I can't afford McDonald's anymore.

(12:45):
Do you are loaded loaded? No? The last time I think Andrew and
I went there, I'm pretty sureour bill was like forty five dollars,
and we went pretty crazy and gotlike mcflurries and you know, meals,
and then a side of chicken nuggetstoo or whatever it was what I swear
to God, I was like fortyfive bucks. I was like, this
is fast food. What can Itell you? I'm going to give you
two things. Number One, Isaw something a mean the other day that

(13:07):
said, I'm not going to leavea tip at a place where I have
to stand up to place my order. Have we talked about this, I
mean, probably not, but I'vebeen seeing people say that too, Like
if I have to stand up andgo place my order at a counter,
I am not going to do wellagain yesterday? Yeah, did you believe
that though? What I said toyou? I said, Well, we
were talking about baristas, and Isaid, if I'm at the drive through,

(13:31):
I'm not tipping you either, becauseyou didn't you're giving me, yes,
servicing me. But I came toyou, I'm driving, you didn't
bring anything on my table. I'mnot tipping. And I agreed the same
thing. If I have to getup and come to you, I'm paying
you, yes, but I'm not. I mean, I don't know where
there should be a tip in there. Yeah, I sometimes I don't all
the time. I don't always.But like I was at a coffee shop

(13:52):
in Hollywood last couple of mornings andI'll tip them a buck, you know
what I mean, I'll throw abuck in their little tip jar. I
don't really mine, but sometimes Ifeel okay with saying no tip. Also,
I went somewhere this pat I want. I'm gonna be honest, it
was the Minneapolis Farmer's Market. Lovegoing to the Swan coffee stand for a
latte. Though now it's seven dollars. You have to pay cash, and

(14:13):
so then you give them really sothen you give them a ten and so
you get two dollars back. Sothen if you tip, you're giving them
a dollar. And so now yourlatte is eight dollars. I for the
sake of my it used to onlybe six dollars. So then I would
spend seven dollars and give them thattip. But now that it's eight,
I'm like, man, I don'tthink I'm gonna come here anymore, because
I like feel eight dollars is insanefor a coffee. It is, you

(14:37):
know, but it's either you payit or you don't get it. That's
the way I know. I'll giveyou one more tip that we I've noticed
this for years. If you don'tdrink alcohol when you go to dinner,
your tab is much more reasonable becausealcohol charges are ridiculous and you don't think
about It's like, oh, I'llget a glass of Lambrusco, which is
like a really classy wine. Ittastes a lot like kool aid, but

(15:00):
sweeter. Yeah, it's called Lambrusco. Highly recommend that glass of Lambrusco.
You don't even think about it.That is going to be twenty two dollars
at a lot of bars. Andif you get a second glass and you
go with a partner, now you'vegot one hundred dollars worth of Lambrusco and
you had on tax and the yep. So now your eighty dollars bill goes
to nearly two hundred dollars. Somy tip is to bring in a flask

(15:26):
in the shape of a pair ofbinoculars, make your own drink there at
the table. You're going to sitdown. Restaurant got to dress a little
bit nicer. But you got binocularsaround your neck. Yeah, you got
binoculars full of vodka. You know. The sad part of it, Maybe
not the sad part. The funnypart is I can actually imagine you doing
this. So do buy your binocularflask off off of mool dot com.

(15:54):
And that is it for the dirt. Okay, have a great day,
weather girl. Jenny says, it'sgonna the sun's gonna come out later.
It's gonna be decent. Is itgoing to get better this week or worse
this week? Hotter? Hotter? It's going to be in the eighties tomorrow
and Saturday. Take it. Hey. Reminder Taylor Swift another name coming up
at two twenty, make sure youlisten for that. Also, Billy Eilish

(16:15):
tonight on the radio. We're goingto track her new album tonight from midnight
until one or however long it takes. Billie Eilish on the show a lot
tomorrow with their new song Lunch.I am going to be doing a book

Amazing Day and you can buy thebook there. You can buy the book

(16:37):

that in and be happy to signit for you. We'll get a selfie,
we'll chat for a little while andthat's at Barnes and Noble by Rosedale
