When the on air Mike goes off, the talk Talk begins. It's Talk
Talk with Martha Quinn, doctor doctor, rock and roll doctor. That's all.
Looks like she's about the choke. Are you quoting something or did you
just make that up? I justmade that up, Christy James, that

(00:21):
is That's the beginning of a rocksong right there. That's what I was
hoping right there. That is it. I say, your inner spirit person
is Steven Tyler, and I thinkyou've got the beginnings of a song that
Steven Tyler wishes that he wrote down. Yeah, that's right there. Oh,

(00:42):
hello ladies, Hello, Corina ofAlaska's Christy was hogging all the attention
there. I'm sorry it is I'mhere for it. I'm yeah. Well,
welcome to Talk Talk with Martha Quinn. This is episode number two hundred
and one, and this is theshow that is the union between the marth
Quinn Show team, which is meand producer Queen of Alaskaz and the Awesome

(01:06):
Morning Drive with Christy Live team, which is Christy and surprise Karina of Alaska.
No, you guys, there's actuallyreally two of me. You can't
tell. Today's episode of Talk Talkwith Martha Quinn is being executive produced by
Sylvia, who listens in sam Brunowith her husband and daughter and adorable dog.

(01:29):
And Sylvia came up with the conceptthe theme. The title, if
you will of today's discussion Karina ofAlaskaz, can you elaborate? Is going
to be called money, money, money, money, money. She donated
you know, money, Sylvia.Oh my gosh, that's so nice.

(01:55):
Thank you, Sylvia. We reallyappreciate that. All right, here's the
idea of Sylvia. She says, because the powerball jackpots are always so huge,
lately it's been in the billion dollarmark, so she wants to know
from the three of us, whatwould we really do with all that money
in the bank account. Most peoplesay, uh, I'll give it a

(02:15):
charity, but that's before they actuallywin. So what would be our fantasies?
What will we make come true? What would we do with all that
money? Christy, that is alot of money. Thank you Sylvia for
giving it to me, first ofall, so nice. Really definitely have

(02:35):
to give Sylvia some First of all, I would not come forward until I
had all of the money put intoa trust, yes, in someone else's
name, So that way they don'tknow that I am the winner, because
people come out of the woodwork withall kinds of craziness when they find out
that you are the Latto winner.Unfortunately, we live in a state where

(02:57):
you have to report it, like, so you have to come forward.
But I think there's a way youcould kind of hide the fact that it's
your money. But if you haveto come forward and say that you,
Christy James want a billion dollars, where do you hide it? No matter
where you hide it, people knowyou have it. I would put it
in a trust and say, youknow what, I gave it away or
somehow I would figure out a wayto make it seem like either I didn't

(03:21):
win the money, or I gavethe money away so I didn't have access
to it so no one could tryand scam me. But Christy, what
would you do with the money,Because then somebody would be like, oh,
how is Christy doing all these thingsall of a sudden? What would
you do with the money? Letme ask you that totally on the downlaer,
Okay, you're going somewhere here,Okay, go ahead. I would

(03:42):
buy a house for my mother.I would pay off all of her bills,
and then I would buy a housefor my brother. I would buy
a house for all of the peopleI know, especially with children, and
then make sure that they have somemoney. That's what I would do.
Two kids, you would get thehouse. You would get a house,

(04:02):
Martha Quinn or the house that Jordanis always working on. I would essentially
pay for all of the things tobe fixed at your house at Casa de
Martha and Jordan. So I woulddo that. I would buy Karina a
house big enough for her family ifshe wanted, or just the place for
her. And then I would alsoget a whole bunch of two dollar bills

(04:28):
and create a charity called the twodollar Bill Project and find a way to
give out money in increments of twos, whether it's two dollars, two hundred
dollars, two thousand dollars, andthen maybe a two million dollar grant that
I would be able to give outas well. And Christy, you got
some good ideas. Yes, soI would definitely like to give away some

(04:50):
money to just random people because Ithink you'll be fun. Why I'm resisting
the urge so bad right now?Give it away? Give it away?
Yes, oh man Karna, Christieraises a really interesting question. If she

(05:11):
said to you, I will buyyou a big enough house, either for
just you or you and your family, Which would you choose? With my
family, I would take because myparents are older. I live with them
now and we get aloe what I'msaying, would you continue or would you
break away? No? I wouldcontinue. I would continue, probably living

(05:33):
with my parents, just like Isaid, because they're older. But I
would ask Christy if she can includea maybe a chef for us. You
could buy. You could use thechef, you could use the money for
whatever you'd like. You can buya smaller house and have made a service
or a butler or a chef orwhatever you Yeah, yeah, I would

(05:55):
do that. I would. Ithink I would continue living with them,
and unless I meet I don't know. And then when I accident interesting question.
Let me let's go down that roadfor a second. Let's say you
got married. Uh huh? Wouldyou continue living with your parents? I
would ask him to come move inwith me. I like it, Yeah,
I like it. And you've gotan amazing family. So, mister

(06:15):
Wright, you're looking at a womannot only as amazing and incredible and gorgeous
and all that and we'll treat youright. But you're in for amazing in
laws. So just a little messageto mister Wright. Oh yeah, yeah,
thank you. Yeah, that wouldbe fun, Martha Quinn, you
want to go next? Well,Christy already isolated something that I would definitely

(06:40):
spend money on the first thing Iwould do as I would turn to Jordanan,
I would say, because we areworking on this house. We bought
a house that's extremely old and likeit doesn't have insulation, so there's conci
He's always going, oh my god, there's a hole in the closet that's
going right outside. No wonder. Our heating bill is so high, so

(07:01):
you know, we're constantly patching. We don't have the money to do that
thing where people do where you knowthey you know, take off all the
sides and jack up the house andmove out. You know, We're we're
doing a renovation one nail at atime basically. So i'ld say, Okay,
what do we need to do.I think he would say that we
would redo the foundation by jacking upthe house. We would do that thing

(07:28):
where you tear off everything put insulationin the walls. That would be nice.
That stuff that people put on.I only know this because when we
go buy houses and they're being built, I hear these things that Jordan says.
So I'm learning about construction. I'llbe like, look at this house
with the tievek. Do you eitherof you ladies know what tievek is?
No? What? Okay? Youdrive buy a house that's being built,

(07:50):
and there's usually some kind of bluepaper that goes over the wood frame before
they put the siding on, andI guess keeps it more weatherproof. So
you'd be like, oh, lookat this tiek. I wish we had
tiek, so that kind of thing, and you know, new windows and

(08:11):
all that, and I'm pretty sure, uh that that'll you know, tap
a s out of money there,say, but that's the first thing I
would do. And then, gosh, I don't know. Maybe I would
buy depending on where my kids like, depending on when I win the money,
maybe i'd buy places in whatever citiesmy kids wind up in. Surprise,

(08:33):
Mom and Dad got a place downthe street. You don't mind,
do you? And let's see whatelse? What else? Oh God,
I'm I'm feeling guilty right now becauseI didn't immediately come up with a charity
you don't have to create it.You don't have to do it. So
money, it's whatever you want todo. You don't have to give it
away, give it away, giveit away, all right. Let me

(08:56):
ponder that, Karina, how aboutyou? Okay, if I want the
powerball jackpot, let's see, Iwould buy some houses for the family,
buy some cars for the family.I would get give a lot of my
family members liposuction or like tummy tucks, you know, like all my auntsbody

(09:16):
wanted plastic surgery. Yeah, whoall want of them? I'd give them
all plastic surgery because they're always talkingabout weight loss and all these miracles.
I would definitely travel. I'm surprisedyou are Christie mark One if you guys
really said, I mean Christy youtravel a lot anyways, but I'm surprised,
like travel wouldn't be Christy. Wouldyou buy yourself a private plane?
No, I wouldn't. I wouldn'tbuy myself a private plane. Maybe I

(09:39):
would try and do something so Icould have a service for an airline or
something like that, But no,I wouldn't travel, you know, on
a private plane. Maybe who knows, though that's a lot of money.
I would travel on luxury, butI wouldn't own a private plane exactly.
Yeah. I think that you couldcharter your own private plane if you wanted

(10:00):
to, you could, or Icould just fly first class. Are still
with the hookup? I mean,I wouldn't go crazy because I would like
to keep some of my money. And that's what happens to a lot of
those people who win the lottery andthen they start spending like all of these
extravagant things, and then they endup broke and worse off, you know
situations, yeah, or bad businessdeals. Did you see Jessica Simpson put

(10:22):
out a warning to Britney Spears theother day, Yes, and she said,
you know, all these vacations couldn'tmake you essentially broke. They said,
Brittany's not close to being broke, but who knows? People can go
through their money though it is youwould, Yeah, you think, Okay,
Brittany couldn't possibly, but you know, maybe she could tap it down
pretty low. I don't know.I don't know how much Brittany has,

(10:45):
but you know what, I sawanother story that Flavor Flave, you know
Flavor Flave with the big always wearingthe big clock stop watch around his next
so did you see that. Hejust sponsored the US women's Limit big water
polo team because he saw that theywere all working like two and three jobs

(11:05):
to earn enough money to go tothe Olympics. And he said, as
a girl dad, I saw this, I am stepping in. I'm gonna
pay for you guys. That's reallynice. Chills myself to say that.
That is so sweet. Yeah,so it's pretty awesome. Back to my
money, I'm just getting back tome, no chrity, You're absolutely right

(11:31):
conversation. And then I'd put somemoney away from my niece, leavea because
if she eventually wants to go toschool, she doesn't have to. But
whatever she wants to do in herlife, I want her to be set.
And you know, I would loveto own, not really manage,
but a winery or a brewery buthave somebody be running it for me,

(11:54):
or like a tequila place in Mexico. Okay, I would invest, say
which would be your priority? I'mcuring, man. I would definitely do
wine. It would be really niceto own a beautiful, family style kind
of winery and then just have peoplemake wine, pay them all to do
it. Veno, Alaska's Velaskaz Veno, Alaskaz Valeo. Yeah, yeah,

(12:20):
something like that. I think thatwould be That would be really cool.
And then maybe I donate two bucksto a local shelter and I'm skinned through
my charity, my charity project, you know, would be like put me
down for two million dollars. No, but what I do like seeing sometimes

(12:45):
are like those animal rescue places.I really like seeing stuff like that,
So I think I would put someof my money in that. No,
No, I'm thinking about that.Yeah, Ostridge, Okay, save an
Ostrich. I'll just save an Ostrich. Save a camel hump, just one
hump, you know. Just whatSylvia added into her email what she would

(13:07):
do if she had the money, which I thought was Yeah, let's great
idea. She said, I wouldhire all my favorite bands to perform private
concerts for her and her friends. That's cool. That's really really cool,
really cool because you could build yourselfa house that has like its own stage
and cool bars around and screens andyou know, lights and stuff like that

(13:31):
right in your own house. That'sa super cool idea. Make it happen,
Sylvia, and invite us over. Please like it. That's a good
one. I do know. There'salways this in the vegan world. There's
this lore, which I think istrue. Is there some millionaire billionaire I
don't know which, who often supportsoutspoken vegan activists and you always kind of

(13:58):
hear about this all, oh he'sbeing sponsored or some kind of phrase like
that. So I don't know, maybe I do something like that behind the
scenes. I don't. I reallydon't know. But like I said,
I think that I will be outof money after I get all the tievec
up. And you don't how constructionworks no matter what budget you're given,
like the contractor will say, oh, this is going to come in under

(14:18):
you know, this is going tocome in under a billion dollars. You
know, you know about the timeyou've had it. E. That's like
that recent that Edwin cashtro guy,I think that was his name, the
Powerball winner. Like you saw hebought all those expensive mansions in LA And
I'm thinking, yeah, I seethat. Like Christy said, you know

(14:39):
that money doesn't last forever. Butalso I'm thinking like property taxes and having
difference having to maintain that place.I think he bought what the world's largest
mansion or something over there where thein Calabasas or something. I don't think
it's the world's largest. No,No, it was pretty huge. It
was massive. Beyonce and jay Zjust brought I think the most expensive property

(15:00):
in Los Angeles? Where was it? Do you know? It's in Malibu?
I believe, man, But doyou think that for Edwin castro Let's
say, if his money starts torun out, is that kind of a
good investment? Could he turn aroundand sell those It depends maybe, because
sometimes you can buy those properties andit's a great investment, and other times
you can buy them and then onlycertain billionaires can afford to buy them off

(15:22):
of you. So regardless, youknow, you probably at least get some
of your money back. So realestate's never a bad investment. Then again,
if there's some crazy Malibu fire, who knows. Yeah, twenty five
point five million estate in the HollywoodHills is what he bought. Three months
after he won. Beyonce and jayZ's house was two hundred millions. Oh

(15:46):
my back in Malibu. No,and it was like the most expensive yeah
property. No, but you're right. If the house was too you know,
pah pah, you know, Godforbid get trapped in another fire.
The property. You know, themain value is in the house, not

(16:06):
the property. Not to say thatproperty in Malibu isn't expensive, but I
don't know however many acres it is, it's not going to be worth what
was it, two hundred million, two hundred million. Yeah, you definitely
want to get some in house sprinklersfor sure, something like that. We've
crushed your dream right now that weburn your house down. Yeah, but

(16:26):
it's interesting. What that was fun? Sylvia Bermudez, thank you, thank
you for that topic. Oh bythe way, ladies, can I follow
up on our podcast about what areyou watching? Yeah? Of course.
So I was saying that I don'twatch that much because I don't like too

(16:48):
much sex and I don't like toomuch g u ns. And I saw
a study where I'm so vindicated,I am the happiest person. Jen Z
says they don't want to see somuch sex in movies. They would rather
see more wholesome movies that are uplifting. I'm like, yes, I was

(17:11):
practically crying because when I see thosemovies, you know where a female has
gone through something I swear as amom, you know, I want to
bust in there and go honey, get dressed, Get dressed. We're leaving
right now. Shame on all ofyou. But crew standing there, No,
not necessarily a lot of times inthe movies now they actually have people
that are experts in that field andfilming sex scenes. Not therapists, but

(17:33):
that's their field. That's what theythat's what their expertise is. I don't
know what it's called, but I'veseen this in a bunch of movies where
they have somebody on set and thenit's just the cameraman, the director and
then the two people, and thenthey try to make it as comfortable as
they can for the actors involved inthat scene. There's a word for it.
Yeah, sure, Well that's that'ssimp. That's well you're about I

(18:00):
feel like we need No, don'tfeel bad, Martha Quinn. I still
don't like it. Yeah, Idon't go. I don't care how many
wranglers there are on these on hisset for that situation, physical intimate Coachkay,
get out? Are you joking? No? You know she watches all

(18:21):
the yeah, the documentaries and things, so she would know how does a
person get into that field? Right? Well, listen, I'm so sorry
I took us down a rabbit holethere. We're just wrapping up the podcast
