Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Bachelorette. We've got to get into it.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Jen Tran is the Bachelorette Monday's eight seventh Central on ABC,
So we're bringing her into the show now. It's a
very interesting season so far.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hi, how's it going? Hey, easy to be here. Hi,
there she is. Hey Jen, nice to see you.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Hey nice.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
What's going on? Can you tell us how are you
doing now that the world has seen three episodes of
your journey on the Bachelorette.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Oh god, the episode was a bit of a rough one.
I had to tell my mom that it was canceled
and not to turn her TV on.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
She didn't believe me.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
If you are not following it, APEC actually issued a
warning for viewer discretion due to the scantily clad men.
Oh you know, yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
It was something. It was quite the episode. I actually
was at a watch party with my friends and her family,
so her grandparents were there. I loved seeing their reactions.
They were so excited.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I mean, the guys took part in a strip tease competition.
I guess that's flattering.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
That's fun, you know, like thunder down here.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah, I mean it's it's it's all about having fun
with it.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
You know, no one of the shocking moments though, I
don't want to give anything away, but I think we
could talk about this point. One of the shocking moments
was when this dude Sam basically I think early on
here revealed, grabbed the microphone and just said he's in
love with you. Was that a shocking and strange moment
at this stage of the journey?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I mean, who wouldn't be in love with me at
that point? You know, I was shocked that, not all
of them.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
But but I do want to ask you, and I
was thinking about this. This would weigh on me. I
think it's going to weigh on you. As we continue
to watch. One of the guys had to leave. His
name is Aaron. He had to leave the show and
on his way out he got called for duty or something.
But on his way out, he basically said to you
something that keeps me up at night. Yeah, that is
just be aware, Jen Batsorette, that some of these guys
(01:54):
are not here for the right reason.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
What do you make of that?
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Yeah, listen, I mean that moment was very interesting to me.
For me, I was annoyed because if you're going to
drop a bomb, fully drop the bomb, like tell me
a name, like man up. Yeah, yeah, you know what
I mean, because at that point, it's like you're just
telling me that to be selfish and to be rude,
like you just want to ruin my little journey here
while you go home, Like go home, fine, that's fine,
(02:19):
Like I wish you the best, but like there was
no need for that, Like you don't actually have my
best interest at her.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
But how do you, though, determine who's in it for
you and who's just in it to be on the show?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Time will tell It definitely takes a little bit of
time for me to get there. I think that my
opinions were definitely changed throughout the journey, and there were
men that in the beginning I was like, Okay, they're
definitely really sincere, and then I was like, oh, maybe not.
So I think with time, you know, those layers get
revealed and you can't put a mask on for that long.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Jin Tran here the Bachelorette. How many have there been?
Tanya A lot? That's a great question, your Brette.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I'm the twenty first.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
One, twenty one, oh my godess, well technically like.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Twenty two because there was a season with two, so
I'm technically the twenty second trip, but twenty first season.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
So each week you choose a Taylor Swift song as
a theme.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
That's so bo I'm so happy you notice. It's like
my favorite thing that I do every week.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
The state of Grace, I think is this week every day.
It was just a little sample, ol hare. Now, how
do you choose what what the theme is going to
be each week?
Speaker 1 (03:23):
With the tailor song?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
I pick out little moments that I think are really
monumental to me in my journey, and I kind of
go through Tailor's lyrics. I go through like I've been
a swiftye forever, so I know what she does with
her Easter eggs, and I kind of play a game
with my with everyone on Instagram, and.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
It is clever. You know, it's fun.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah, it's it's not always like the theme of the episode,
but it's like there's hints in there if you if
you look hard enough.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I like that your own Easter eggs.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
So Jim, before you go, I'm trying to just read
her body language to see where she is.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
I know, I was like looking for a ring, like reading.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
But you can you can tell a lot by the
body language. I'm just trying to figure. You're not gonna
tell me you know specifics, but what what at this point,
in this moment, on this day, in this hour in
real life.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
What era are you in?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
What?
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Gran? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
What era of gent tran? I'm in my con era.
I think I grew.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Are you an independent era or coependent?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
I see what you did there?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I see you.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Are you a relationship era or is it?
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I don't know what? If like I like to sit
on top of my partner, then it's like one to one.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
On next week's episode.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Better BC Fast, Thank you, Jan, good luck. It's so
nice to meet you. I think you're gonna I think
you're gonna have a good time and we can't wait
to see what happen.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Thanks.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Thanks for having me. All right, bye bye bye bye.
I feel like she's found someone. Yeah for sure.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Oh yeah, I don't know. I was getting like confident
single vibes.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
No no, no, you can't read vibes anymore either.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Magic Mouland tickets are next to
