Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Ryan on Air with a Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
All right, well, I'm gonna get into it today. I've
got five hundred bucks in kissed cash for you to
win in a second. Last night I did, I mean
what you have for dinner?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Last night?

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I stood at my counter and ate out of a
tupperware container a white bean dip with chips.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
That's all I ate for dinner, like a snack.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
But it was filling. I had a bag full of
siety chips. They're not full of those bags off and
I love them, but they're not for me.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
None of the back and white bean dip. And that
was it. I was full, and that was my dad
and I stood there. That was it. You know, that
wasn't I wasn't into preparing much. If you're full, then
just go to bed. What you have.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
We did steak and mashed potatoes last night. I'm very just,
you know, nice delicious. That's what happens when you have
some brocoli, some charred, charred broccoli. Make sure you put
a little garlic and then char it a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
When there are other people around, that's what you get.
Sonya would you have. I had.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I don't know. Robbie picked me up something. I'm not
totally sure, but I think it was beef and green beans.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
You don't know what you ate? That is bizarre. Are
you still sick? How long is this going to linger?

Speaker 4 (01:22):
I was very out of it, and I wasn't hungry.
That's the problem. I just like wasn't hungry. I didn't
want to eat, so I was just like forcing myself
to eat.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah, Tony's had what we call a virus, or she's
called a virus all week.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Has a doctor told you that? Are you just.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Robbie's dad told me that he's a doctor, so I
trust him. But I wasn't. No, I wasn't. I didn't
have like a cold like. I wasn't like sneezing, cough
and congested. It was like all in my body like
it was like body aches and like chills.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Sounds like COVID.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
No I tested for that?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Did you test multiple times? Sometimes it's like delayed.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
I tested twice, but I could always test again. But
I'm not coughing.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
And what about Oh you have his body aches? Like
you don't have any like things coming out of you.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I'm coughing a little bit. Yeah, I'm coughing a little bit.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Is it going to motivate you or aggrevate you? That
I feel great?

Speaker 4 (02:21):
It's gonna motivate I.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
No.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
I let me tell you something. I'm so mind over
matter when it comes to this stuff. Like I'm like,
I'm telling myself, I'm just getting like one more sleep
and like I'm back to normal.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Good.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Well, we're here for you whatever you need to take
your time. But I feel good, Tisney, I feel like
you feel good.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
I feel great. That's why I kind of grateful that.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
You know, she's sitting her closet with her microphone. Yeah,
all right, so I feel good. You feel good, Tany's
gonna feel good. Do you feel good this morning listening?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
I hope you do.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
We're gonna try and get you into a good place.
Eight hundred and five too. I want to two seven
at Kiss FM. Let me grab Valorie. I was gonna
do something a Valerie as I love this show. We
have a plan, but we just do thirty percent of
what we plan.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
It's kind of fun.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
You know.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
There aren't many other roles in on air other than
radio where you can just change your mind and do
what you want. Like TV shows are all produced. You're
all sort of planned out. Even when they're live, they're
planned out. This kind of planned out, changing all the time.
Valerie like Valerie.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Venture at value.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
I didn't know you were gonna call in this morning,
but when you did, I saw you on the call screen.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I want to take it.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Are you doing I'm doing fantastic.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
This voice sounds like JUNO.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Okay, tell me what's happening, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
How can we help you?

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Beautiful day here in Ventura. I am calling in really
just to say you guys are the absolute most fantastic
station in the entire world. But with a little bit
of helpful hondodness, my daughter and I had the most
fantastic experience met Jojo, saw Mark Amber and his just

(04:03):
angelic little love tunes dropping off his tongue. He is amazing,
authentic and wonderful. But you guys made it like a
VIP experience. I mean, my daughter and I are coming
from Ventura. The show is less time than the drive,
so you know, you've got to like really love what
you're doing, and you guys make it worth it. We

(04:26):
left so happy and it was just the most amazing experience.
I just wanted to be the first to take you guys, lovey.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Thank you so much, Fowerie, And the fact that you
and your daughter got to do that together makes me happy.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I love that you enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I love that it was worth the drive, because I
would have been a bummer if you drove all the
way and it wasn't worth it. And this is about
Jojo interviewing Mark Amber last week here on iHeart Radio,
Valerie came in there watch and perform with Valerie's daughter.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
What's your daughter's name?

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Her name is Paisley June. Paisley June, that's right, thank you.
It's my mom away a little over twenty years ago.
And my mom's name was Jane and she it's okay.
You know, I had the best one. Sometimes the best
ones go very quickly. But I had a wonderful mother
and she is embodied in my daughter. And so this

(05:13):
I got to see some really cool fands with my
mom when I was younger, but nothing like what my
daughter and our experience thanks to kiss and you know,
just me. Well, I have to say.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
I love the relationship it sounds like you have with
your daughter. Actually, I love the relationship you have with
us at kiss So this is really good. Thank you
very very much for you as well. Love you too, girl,
and Ryan's just me.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
You are wonderful in the morning.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Oh, thank you so much. Can you call it again
in five minutes? Yeah, every morning.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
You and I live here on the beach. So anytime
you guys need to get like about thirty degrees less
during the summertime, come on over because we have not
been out of like the seventies this.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Entire summer over here in Ventura.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
So we need to move to the beach because listen
to this, This is happiness that will happen if you

she calls back in four minutes. Your morning hack is next.
Don't try this on? Why are people trying this on
and putting it back? It's close summer. No, aren't you
seeing this everywhere? People are trying on clothes and they're
talking about it, and they're in the dressing room. They're

(06:24):
trying on their different things, and then they try on
a bathing suit. If they don't like it, they put
it back. No, bacteria.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
You can't do you want to think about the bacteria
that you're talking about.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
You can't trying a bathing suit in the She can't
trying a bathing suit and put it back? How do
you try? How are you supposed to test a bathing suit?
You can't try it on and put it back.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I mean, it's been a really long time since I
was trying on a bathing suit at the department store.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
But don't they have those protector things.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I don't know, keep your under yeah, you keep your
undergarments on.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Well, that's fine, but I guess they found a lot
of other things in bathing suits that were on the
rocks after people try to out. So I'm just saying, like,
be polite, be kind, rewind, don't try it on bathing
suits and then put them back.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
That's just wrong.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
A baseball hat.

Speaker 3 (07:11):

Funny, I've had friends for years, right, friends for years,
Like my phone just rang. You know these people for
twenty years?

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, how are you calling me right now? Thinking I
can talk? I have this thing?

Speaker 3 (08:27):
How are you calling me right like? Dingy, I can
answer the phone. I'm looking at the name on my phone.
But yeah, you've known me two decades at this hour,
I cannot talk.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
I know exactly what you need three decades for my
friend Taja and she's still during the show.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
No, I think I think they think that maybe like
during a song, you can answer or if You're.

Speaker 1 (08:44):

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Okay, hang on one second, drive safely, this one I
want to get into. So this has gotten some serious
traction in the last few days. Mikayla has to do
with late night texting. Mikayla says, is it rude to
send text in the middle of the night. I just
assume people have their phones on do not disturb when
they're asleep, and we'll see it when they wake up.
But if I've been waking people up this whole time,

(12:11):
should I feel bad?

Speaker 8 (12:13):
So?

Speaker 3 (12:13):
What do you think about that late night off our texts?

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Okay or not? Okay? Siciny, I think it's fine.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
I mean, if it's on the person who has the
phone to if you don't want to be interrupted, have
it on, vibrate or do not disturb or whatever. I
don't mind waking up, you know when I do and
seeing that I had mis calls or miss texts because
they didn't bother me?

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Tony, where are you on this? Is it rude to
send late night text or text before it's you know,
eight o'clock.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
I don't think it's rude. However, I don't send late
night texts to men.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Well are you sending any text to men besides Robbie?

Speaker 9 (12:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Why are you sending text at noon?

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Two guys?

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (12:57):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Yeah, I mean you text like guys and stuff. I
don't know Mark all the time.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
So you don't text him late night.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
I try to avoid texting him. Yeah, I mean Mark?

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Why wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
wait wait? Why do you avoid texting Mark our producer
late night?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Like wor goes through your mind?

Speaker 4 (13:14):
I just don't think it's like nice, even though like
his wife knows me and stuff. It's just weird seeing
like a woman's name popping up at your phone and
like midnight or eleven pm does anything.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
It's weird when I text you all hours of the day, right,
does any have an issue with that?

Speaker 1 (13:29):
But that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
The tiny's thought is the partner of the person she
might be texting, it might look weird.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
That's interesting because he.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Knows I know, And that's why I'm saying Mark is
an exception. But like if it were like my friend
bo or something like that would be weird.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Thinking very high of ourself over here, aren't we.

Speaker 9 (13:50):
What?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
I'm need an answer, any an answer me too.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
By the way, I can't remember. I have to text
immediately because I won't remember what I was trying to ask.
You guys, if it's the next day, yeah, so, I
don't think it's rude. I think it's on today at
the right point on the gate. It's on you put
do not disturb up because we have your number. We're
gonna text you when we're thinking about something. If you're
not available, that's fine, get back to me when you can't,
but do not disturb it. Tara is in north Ridge. Well, Tara,

(14:18):
good morning. We have gathered once again. How are you?

Speaker 10 (14:22):
I'm good?

Speaker 9 (14:23):
Are you great?

Speaker 3 (14:25):
So you're calling us for something that's going on in
your life. You've got approached about a new job. What's happening?

Speaker 8 (14:32):
Yeah, so I definitely need a little bit of advice.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
How can we up?

Speaker 5 (14:38):
So?

Speaker 8 (14:38):
I actually got approached by a brand on LinkedIn for positions,
And the thing is, I've never actually considered leaving my
job or anything, but this job is double my salary
and this will change my life. But I'm a little
nervous to even do the meeting because I'm a little
scared that maybe my boss will find out or that

(15:00):
I would get fired. And this is a competitor, so
I'm not really sure what to do because what if
I take take the meeting and then I end up
with nothing, with neither job.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Okay, I think you got to take the meeting, especially
if you just said what you said. If I just
heard what you said, it could be life changing, so
you deserve it. So I think you take the meeting.
And is there anything wrong with taking the meeting to
hear out an opportunity that could change the life of

(15:34):
you and your family? Would what is wrong with that?

Speaker 8 (15:39):
Yeah, but I don't know if my job would be
cool with that. I don't know if they're gonna think
that I'm not committed to them. So that's why.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Do you know? Do you know is the job yours
already or it could be yours, It could be mine,
It could be yours if the meeting goes well, the
interview goes well, and you get it, it would be
double the salary, but it may not work. And do
you think your employer would would fire you from taking
a meeting to improve your life.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Maybe they would give you a raise.

Speaker 8 (16:11):
So, and I don't want to lose an opportunity just
to feel either.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
I I do think you need to take the meeting.
I do you cease Sney the employer then reacting in
such a way they would fire, can they They can't
fire you for taking that meeting.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
No, it's just a meeting.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
No, not you, but they can make your life no judge.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Yeah, but how you like? You got to keep evolving.
I think you had to go for it. I think
you had to do it.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
I think you go in there, think this through, fin
the way, think this through, Think this through, Tara.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
So you think about think in.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Your head about the dialogue that you're going to have
in the meeting, and think about in your head the
dialogue you might have with your employer if they found
out about the meeting, and think it through. Be thoughtful,
be you know, heartfelt and smart, and also do what's
best for you and for your family. But when you
say this could change my life, I can't sit here
and say don't take the meeting exactly.

Speaker 8 (17:13):
No, it's it's exactly double the salary.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Take the meeting.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Take the meeting, confidently take the meeting right and get
the job.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
At that point, when is the meeting? When can he
take the meeting.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
This week?

Speaker 8 (17:29):
No, they want me to talk to them immediately.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Oh my gosh, do it and tell us what happens
with all of it.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Please, Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 8 (17:40):
You know what, when I get the job, I'll call.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
It double the salary. Good luck to you, Sarah, Thank
you very much for listening. And it's not only that's
about just like believing in yourself, knowing that you deserve
something and growing.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Like you said, cisiny, I say go for it on
a on air with Ryan.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
You know, Sabena Carpenter, tickets are coming up in just
a little bit. Did you see the billboards that we're
teasing her album that said four foot eleven? The Bilbos
are out four foot eleven teasing her album's four foot eleven?

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Right, albums Short and Sweet?

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Yeah, if I had an album that would be it
Short and Sweet the reprise see what are You Are You?

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Four eleven?

Speaker 2 (18:23):
So I haven't like officially measured myself in a really
long time, but last I checked, it's like, yeah, four
eleven and a half, maybe.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
What are you?

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I'm like five three five to two.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
This is the only show in America where I'm the
tallest person.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
This is the only show.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Land I am the tallest person in this one. I think, Michael,
how tall are you?

Speaker 1 (18:46):
I'm five five? Oh wait a minute, Ruby, how tall
are you? I'm five five? As well?

Speaker 4 (18:51):
That could be the name of your album. I'm the
tallest one in here?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
We call that how tall are you?

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Five four?

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I may not be able to go forward. This is
so much good.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
News, because how is it possible that I've found so
many people to put in two rooms that are.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Shorter than not. I mean, you just put out that energy, Tubbs.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
I'll tell you five ten. Huh No, not a half
gets out a half way later.

Speaker 4 (19:25):

Speaker 1 (19:26):

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Five ten, Okay, I'm gonna start with Coltart. The game
was fun until Tubbs started giving havsis. Yeah, all right,
I play Matt's game. You're ready, let's go. Got Natalie
and Perry on the line. So Natalie, let's be contest

on riverside. You are contested number two. Tell us about yourself.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
I am getting ready to take my dog for a walk.
I'm currently unemployed.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
Okay, all right, what kind of dog you have?

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Thirteen year old pitbull?

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Oh I'm so sweet?

Speaker 9 (20:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
All right, Well let's get into the game here. I've
got Natalie and Perry are two contestants. It's called the
match game. We're gonna give you a phrase with a
blank in our panel here of Sisney, Tanya Ruby, and
five and ten and a half tubs. Well, write down
what they think should go in the blank. Then we'll
hear your answer to see if you match. Okay, you
ever get the most matches gets five hundred dollars and
a kiss cash card. Here we go, Perry, stand by Natalie.

(21:03):
That's number one. You're up first, and yours is don't
say it out loud, just think it. Yours is blank word,
blank word. I have no idea. If I were on
the panel, I would quit blank word. Okay, Natalie? Would
you say bad bad word?

Speaker 6 (21:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (21:24):
All right, Sysney. Did you match final final word?

Speaker 3 (21:28):
No?

Speaker 7 (21:28):
No match?

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Tanya?

Speaker 4 (21:30):
I said pass pass word.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
No, it's a different game.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
And Ruby, did you match with bad word? Bad tubbs?

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Just for another one? What'd you say as word was
going to be spoken word? Okay? Course one match?

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Now here we go, Natalie, Hold on, Perry, you're up
for the tire win.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Think about it.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Your what is real blank real r e A L
real blank real blank tubbs? Tanya, Siicity, Ruby, write down
your answers. Let's see if we can get a match here,
got to get one to tie to to win. Perry,
what'd you say?

Speaker 5 (22:11):
How about talk real talk?

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (22:14):
No, one likes real talk in a relationship. Okay, let's
go to pal on this.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I said world, real world and here we go.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Tanya, I said real world too, to match with. Don't
get excited about that. It's Perry. I know the match came.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
With the contestant, not with the panel. I know, I
know how many times it's like I go in circles.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
It just gets me cud.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Okay, Perry, let's see. Ruby said, did you say real talk?

Speaker 6 (22:43):
No?

Speaker 1 (22:43):
I said real world too cute though, okay, but that's
not the game.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
And Tubbs for the tie. Did you say real talk?

Speaker 1 (22:55):
I said real juice. It's real juice, like juice juice. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
All right, Well there's a good try. Have a nice
walk with your dog. Thank you very much for playing, Natalie. Congratulations,
you're going to add to your happy marriage five hundred
bucks and a summer kiss, cash guard.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Hang on both of you. And that's called the match game.

Speaker 7 (23:21):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
It's a real struggle. That game.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
You understand you want to match with the contestant so
they can win.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
I understand when you celebrate.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
The panel that means that's not good.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
But I can't fight the inner joy that I get
when I'm match with that.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
You can't fight the moonlight. No, okay, Well, the Olympics
are here again.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
We've done our show from London, the Olympics from real
the Olympics.

Speaker 7 (23:48):
Yeah, that's it now.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
We're doing our show from LA for the Olympics Paris, kind.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Of one we want to go to.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
We'll be here watching it, talking about it, and very
exciting Team USA in Paris. We thought we'd run through
some of the local olympians here in South California that
are competing representing Team USA.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
And since he's gonna highlight one of them today, who Yes,
TJ del falco J.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
What a name, man, that's a great name. You have
to be cool with that name exactly. So he's competing
in men's volleyball. He actually attended Huntington Beach High School
and Halle State Long Beach, so like local, local local.
The team actually made four NCAA Final fours and captured
two national championships, so congrats to them. And he actually

(24:34):
played in Tokyo, but if you remember Tokyo, it.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Was a year later, so it was he can't remember.
It was twenty twenty one, and that's probably because you
can't remember. We were in the middle of the pandemic.
They pushed it a year and due to COVID there
was no crowd. Yeah, there was no crowds in Tokyo.
So a lot of these athletes are just looking forward
to actually competing with crowds this time in the Olympics
because they didn't get to experience that the last round.

(24:59):
And then on top of that, you know, for instance,
like Olympic Village and we were talking.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
About it earlier, and like there's a lot of like.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Fun action that happens there, the camaraderie of like worldwide
athletes competing and being all in one place like a dorm.
They get to experience that for the first time as well,
because that was kind of non existent back in twenty
twenty one.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
Are we going to cover any swimmers or highlight any swimmers,
any swimmers from southern California?

Speaker 2 (25:24):
You know who's what was her name, Rachel Fatal water
polo out of Seal.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Beach, Well maybe he is.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
I'm obsessed with the problem in Paris, and that is
anybody swimming in that river. I don't And people are
talking about like, yeah, I am, that's the same river.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Not so clean.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
No, the swimmers, whether from southern California or not, if
you've got to swim in that river, they found the
e coli in that river?

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Did they not?

Speaker 9 (25:51):
Good?

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Did they good? Are they doing anything to clean it?

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Rather, they've been trying to treat it. But I'm just
telling you, one big rain and sewage dwage rolls into
the Seine, and I would make me insane to be
a swimmer. Insane.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
It's not. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
I'm I'm concerned about that myself. Maybe they'll figure it out,
you know, they feel like it always works out.

Speaker 7 (26:10):
In the end.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Anyways, good luck to teach us. Shout out to all
the other athletes.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Do we have so many from Santa Clarita, Chino, Cyprus, Redondo.
I mean, it's like it feels like every city in
Soko has an athlete in the Olympics show.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
If you're listening or your family's listening. I played volleyball
back in elementary school.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Mm hmmm, yes, so did anybody else?

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Anyway?

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Sure anybody played high school volleyball? Did you take it
that far? No, but I have friends that did.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
And actually one of my friends, his brother, was in
the Olympics in London and Rio.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
All right, it's such a great sport, especially here in
Southern California too. I love to just go watch it.
We've got cisany Tanya, myself, the back room. We all
had a big staff meeting yesterday, and you guys were
making fun of me that my phone was ringing during
the staff meeting.

Speaker 7 (26:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
It wasn't that it was ringing, because that happens to everybody.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
But it was the fact that you.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Were like, ooh, I'm gonna have to let this one
just like ring out.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I can't ignore it. They're going to know that I
sent them to voicemail.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Yes, So I was.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Presenting in the meeting and my phone rang and I said,
hold first second, guy's gotta wait this one out.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
And you want to you wanted.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
To use something look at your notes page.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Well, if you decline to the call, they know that
you're there.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
Well, yeah, you should say, hey, I'm in a meeting
and I need my notes page for this presentation, so
I'll call you back lately later.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
How much what you wanted to answer the phone and
say that, well, we're all in a meeting.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
No a prompt that you can say, I can't talk
right now, I'm in a meeting.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah, I don't think my phone has that.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Your phone definitely has that.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I'm on iOS one vintage the Good Team meeting yesterday.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Thank you for all the creativity, the input and the enthusiasm.
I love it when we get together exactly. Meeting comes
me up, even though like we talk every single day,
and we talk in a meeting that's like official.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
I mean, this is official, but that's official. Right, there's
a different town a little bit. I know what you mean, Monique.
Fresh from our meetings yesterday, how are you in?

Speaker 11 (28:09):
Hemet good.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
I'm fabulous.

Speaker 8 (28:12):
How are you guys?

Speaker 3 (28:13):
We're fabulous as well. All right, how can we help?
What can we do for you?

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (28:19):
You know what, I was one of the Disneyland winners
and I just wanted to reach out to you guys
and personally thank you for creating such a special memory
for us, because it was been over twenty years since
the last time my husband I have been to Disneyland.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
Oh my, we have an almost three year old daughter
now and so we got to take her for her
first time and it was it was really awesome. I
just want to thank you.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
You very welcome, Honny.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Thank you for calling back to tell us, to thank us,
to tell us that you went for the first time
in twenty years. I was there with Sistany and Tani
not too long ago, and I found myself counting strollers
do you ever play that game?

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Oh my god, part kunt the park strollers.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Why did you do that?

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Because at the time I was waiting for one of
about I've done that before. Oh my gosh, there's like
four hundred and one spot in.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
The parking lot and they moved them. They moved them
when you go into the right, they moved that.

Speaker 10 (29:11):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I was like for stroller. Yeah, the first time you
figured that out, you panic. You're like so much, so
much that I ser.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
What So tell me what you could do with your
almost two year old at the park?

Speaker 11 (29:25):
You know what?

Speaker 5 (29:26):
Tom Town was a really great spot and as well
as Fantasy Lands. Yeah, almost all the rides there were
like no height requirement and they also had like a
play area in the two town area, so it was
perfect for callers.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Yeah, and that's the grounds all soft, so they can
like bounce and run around on it and they can
fall down.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
It's not the deal, giving her exactly.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Well, thank you for listening, winning and calling back to
say hello, we appreciate it, and let's not make it
another twenty years before you go again.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
I know I have not, but thank you guys so much.
So we're listening to guys every morning.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Awesome, all right, you take care.

Speaker 5 (30:04):
YouTube bye, thank you, bye bye.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
I think that's the almost two year old right there.

Speaker 7 (30:09):
Hm, that made my day.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Thank you bye guys, by bye.

Speaker 7 (30:23):
So cute, so cute.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
It's up on air with Ryan Seacrest. We have got
a bearded pilot on the line. Hissnety.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Can I just say it makes me happy that a
bearded pilot listens to our show.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
And how bearded is he?

Speaker 1 (30:40):
I want to know all the things. We're going to
find out. His name is Joe.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Yesterday we did a story about how pilots are genuinely
clean shaven, not big beards, because they've got to put
on those oxygen masks in an emergency to help save
other passengers. Yes, so Joe is a bearded pilot. The
bearded pilot that was listening to us when we did
this story. Good morning, Joe.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
How are you?

Speaker 9 (31:00):
I'm doing well. Run nice to talk with it, Joe.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
You sound like you have a beard. Yeah, conditions it Joe?
Could you give me some some pilot voice here? What
do you what do you normally say before?

Speaker 9 (31:11):
Yeah? Well, thankfully I don't fly passengers anymore. I fly
for a large freight company now, but before you know,
you'd always say good afternoon from the flight deck. We'll
be landing shortly. Please listen to your flight attendants and
still all your belongings. Current weather's winds out of the north,

(31:32):
about five miles an hour, about fifty degrees today, clear skys.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
I like the weather for guess. I also like how
you go steal your bags and we're gonna have a
nice weather today. How you go up and down that
it makes me feel safer, Joe.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
So is this true?

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Sydney reported yesterday there was a story out that pilots
must basically be shaven and clean shaved because of safety
issues and putting the oxygen mask over their mouths safely
while in an emergence see operation.

Speaker 9 (32:01):
Yeah, that's that's correct. Until just a couple of years
ago that was the industry standard, and the mask wouldn't
seal to your face and the pilots could become hypoxic
and pass out. So you don't want that to happen.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
So the rule is it still did.

Speaker 9 (32:20):
Yeah, so a couple of years ago it used to
be the anytime we're flying above twenty five thousand feet
and one of the pilots got up out of their chair.
The other guy had to put the oxygen mask on.
They got rid of that rule. Now it's above forty
one thousand feet, we typically fly in the thirty thousand
feet range. So the current masks, they are all called

(32:40):
quick dawning masks that they squeeze the levers. It inflates
these tubes that go around your head and you release
the levers and then it squeezes on your face. So
they sealed pretty well. And it's such an infrequent occurrence
that the FA gave the airlines some latitude and freedom

(33:01):
to change their appearance stands.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
So we shouldn't worry if we see a pilot with
the beard in terms of safety with getting the masks
securely fastened in an emergency, don't worry.

Speaker 9 (33:11):
No, it's it's not it's not much of an issue.
And thankfully my company changed the apparent standards who were
allowed to have beards now. But yeah, I like to
rock a I don't know, like a two to three
day stubble, you know, kind of kind of trimmed up,
nothing crazy, but there. We definitely have some some yahoo's

(33:35):
at work that take it to the extreme. So, uh,
the one guy in particular. I think of he looks
like straight out of Valhalla, like full Viking water thing.
I think he even puts like a little bead at
the end of his goates.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Oh my gosh, I want to know.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
So you say you fly freight now is it a
blue logo or an orange logo?

Speaker 9 (34:01):
It's actually more of a brown.

Speaker 11 (34:04):
Do you run the tightest ship in the shipping business logistics?
You love logistics and your trucks have no doors on them.

Speaker 9 (34:16):
Yeah, it's true.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
And your socks are brown, Yes they are. Joe, I
love you so much. Thank you for listening and calling
in on this.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
We appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
Very interesting stuff and safe travels to you, buddy.

Speaker 9 (34:30):
Thank you appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Okay, okay, I need a pilot.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
In my life.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
They don't want to date a pilot. I mean, I'm
not about dating, But would you want to date a pilot?

Speaker 7 (34:43):
I think so.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
I think I could see Michaela with a pilot.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
I could. It's so funny you say that I saw
her light up when talking.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Aren't they always gone?

Speaker 9 (34:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:55):
But then you fly for freeze travel.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
I means he likes to travel.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
I love to travel.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Know, I never I see it MICHAELA, we need to
go to l a X just sit around and just
and just put out the via pilot door. Do they
have a pilot door?

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Mark? Is there a pilot door like the Broadway?

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Oh, like like a pilot parking lot.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
You know, I just said, I hang out out.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
There's a coffee place there. Oh my gosh. We have
solved the problems and show very good. Let's get to
this trending report. So interested in this.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
So first of all, he's so interested in this. I'm
very interested in this.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
I love it can make a bile because I can
actually speak to it can make a bale. And Shawn
Mendes broke up, got back to the other, broke up
and got back of whatever THEO has been.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Yes, it is a long time and a lot, that's
my pot.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
You would have thought that there would have been time enough. Fine,
you go back and forth initially, but time enough now
to move on. But it seems like we just spotted
them together, Tanya.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
Yes, okay. So however, so camilic Abeo and Shawn Mendes,
they sparked reconciliation rumors because a fan saw them at
the COPA America final where Ryan you said you saw them.
They were seen sitting and chatting together during the Miami
soccer match, but a source tells people that they were
there coincidentally, meaning like they weren't there together, they were

(36:11):
there coincidentally in air.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Quotes in the same suite.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
So for references the last these two last reconcile in
spring of twenty twenty three. But it got me thinking
about the whole breaking up, getting back together, breaking up,
getting back together? Why is it so hard and we're
all guilty of it.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
Let me speak to coincidentally that can happen, That's happened
to me.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
In the same suite.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
We've been at the same function relationships ago when I
was dating somebody in the same business as I am.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
You know who I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
We have been in the same functions for the network
before and in the same room, so I understand that. Yeah, now,
let's get to the psychology of the yo yo after
a breakup? Why do we keep going back and forth
ceazy because it's comfortable, it's what we know. Oh, you know,
meeting someone new is scary, it's frightening, and there's something

(37:08):
to comfort food that just feels good.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
Well, and I think all of us believe in hope,
and so you hope that it's going to be different.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
You hope that it's going to How many times if
you think back time, how many times did you yoyo?

Speaker 4 (37:20):
Maximum, I've only done it twice.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Twice with the same person, twice.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
With the same persons.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
How many times do you yoyo with only a three
time or four timer? I think I have the record
on this.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
How many times?

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Well you lived it, didn't I yoyo for like five years?
I think we had of years of.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Yo yo versus time.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
Yeah, And actually I have run into an ax of
yours that like a work function. And it's so funny
because I've never thought of it from like your significant
other's perspective. But she was like, he's everywhere. I turn
on my radio, I hear him. I turn on my TV,
I see him. And I was like, oh my gosh,
I can get off all the things.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
So that's a bad thing.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Well, like when you're when you break up with someone,
you just don't want to see them on social media.
That's usually what we all, you know, that's the rest
of us have to deal with, like looking at them
on social media. But you're everywhere, You're in the ears
your el the TV.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
I was like, oh, Billboards, torture.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
I was gonna wrap it up for us, thanks for
being with us this morning from the get go.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
So just listen this for a second.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Remember what time you go to bed tonight for tomorrow
for here for six fifty five. Remember what time you
go to sleep tonight for tomorrow here on the show,
because we're gonna talk about when you should go to
bed and when you should wake up to reduce your
chance of dying by fifty percent. Okay, so think about
when you go to bed, remember it so you can
partake in this tomorrow. Fifty percent less chance of dying

(38:47):
if you do this when you go to bed and
go to bed like this.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
So that's tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
Also Writing's roses tomorrow, Serena Carpenter tickets tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Don't forget.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
You're gonna hear everything from today's show on demand on
the on Airthrine Secrets podcast. When I heard Radio or
Each podcast played a very fun version of match game
where I had to explain the rules once again to Tanya,
who wants to win for the panel, not the contestant,
and we debated the etiquette of late night texts. Check
it out on the podcast Talk Tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
