Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you, thank you for listening to On
Air with a Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Bruno Mars was in my dream last night.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Tell him.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
I was walking behind him on a sidewalk and he
had great jeans on, I mean, like the perfect fit.
And I just remember saying, that's Bruno Mars. Look at
his jeans. I have no idea where like, I didn't
really connect with Bruno, but he was in my dream.
I guess that seeped in from playing his music on
the radio.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Probably right What a missed opportunity to ask him what
kind of jeans.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I should have tapped him on the shoulder. You know,
I didn't want to bother him, so I don't want
to impose or disturb his his private moment on the sidewalk,
draw any attention to Bruno Mars.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Anyway, here we are Thursday morning. Good morning, Systey Toney, how.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
Are you morning, Good morning.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
I feel that way sometimes when you run into a
celebrity out in the wild, not like run into them,
but you see him at a store. I saw Kristen
Bell the other day and I was like, atre hi, no,
because she was like like she was just shopping, and
so I didn't want to like Buger, like what am
I say?
Speaker 1 (01:09):
I love you?
Speaker 2 (01:10):
I do love to hear that.
Speaker 5 (01:12):
I said the same thing with Kim Raver.
Speaker 6 (01:14):
I saw her at the grocery store and I followed
her around for like ten minutes, wanting to say I
love Grey's Anatomy.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
And I regret it to this day that I did not.
I don't regret it.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I mean it's fine, but.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
Every single day one of those things.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
And you're like, even Ryan would have bothered Bruno Mars
and his dreams.
Speaker 7 (01:31):
I would.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I saw Taylor Swift at a CVS. I didn't. I
didn't go up to her. Oh that is a miss.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Okay, who wouldn't Who wouldn't say hi to Taylor Swift?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Like just but I think people, I mean, if you're
gonna say you love you, know what I wanted you?
Speaker 4 (01:48):
You think of like what you would say. And I
was going to be like, I love your diapers because
her diapers are like what we use for our kids,
like their entire like diaper line, her diaper line. Hello, bellow, Yes,
that's what I was gonna say, and then I was like,
that's just weird, like maybe.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
See I panic because I can't remember their real names.
A lot of times, I just remember their character. Yeah, yeah, right,
and I don't want to and I should know because
we've met half of them.
Speaker 8 (02:15):
Right.
Speaker 7 (02:16):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
But uh, but so I have a question for you.
You know, I was talking.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
You were talking about, like, you know, having a little
pain in Like my my neck has some pain in it,
in the back of it. And apparently it's because I'm
sleeping in the wrong way. I sleep on my stomach
with my head cranked turned and hugging a pillow and
my leg in a like a Heisman trophy position.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, on the bed.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
That helps me leave a little pressure on your lower back,
but not not I guess, torquing your neck when you sleep.
You're supposed to not sleep on your stomach. You're supposed
to sleep on your side or your back.
Speaker 9 (02:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
I've been trying to do more siding back.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
How do you get your shoulder from not hurting and
falling asleep on your side rotating?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Well, then I'll be awake all night flipping getting pregnant.
What really trained me because once I was my choice,
wouldn't have no choice. It was on your stomach, it
was side or my back, but mainly my side because
even on my back, it would be too much pressure
and weight on my body.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
And could you keep your shoulder from getting tired or stiff?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
I can't seem to correct that.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
No, it happens. It just kind of falls. It starts
falling asleep.
Speaker 6 (03:20):
And maybe you could get one of those like long
body pillows that you're not necessarily on your stomach, but
you're not on your side, you're like halfway between my pillows.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Is doing a sale.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
I think I saw that guy on TV, like.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Like a very long one that goes from your head
to your knees.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Like a pregnancy pillow. Yes, oh my goodness, sounds like
a good idea. It sounds like it does.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Then it's going to be your new thing and you're
gonna have to travel with that. It's gonna have a
town suitcase go.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Through the airport.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
And I think that you can just suck an travel
with your pillow and aiplock. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
I do a suction ziplock back with my blanket my pillow.
Speaker 7 (03:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Investig's amazing works wondering.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
I know, I always think about it when I'm when
I'm packing for a.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Trip, I'm like, man, I'm going to vacuum yeah, you
can buy these, and just I know I need to
buy them. Got your horoscopes here in just a second.
And if you are, are you cutting back on coffee?
Is that something you're doing?
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Sinny, I haven't had coffee this week.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
I don't know how you get up and no, same like.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
How I drink a lot of water.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
But it doesn't do anything for me.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
Water does nothing.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
It gives me energy, it really does. Mark's agree with me.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Mark, you don't drink coffee either. No, I don't actually
even know what it tastes like. I've never had coffee.
What's wrong with you?
Speaker 5 (04:39):
He only drinks water? He doesn't even drink like.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
But when I wake up in the morning and I
drink half a jug of water, it does energize.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
It does, and I'm good to go live?
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Do you haven't lived?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
I drink?
Speaker 4 (04:49):
If you had, If you gave me your patcha Mama
coffee that you make every morning and I had it
right now, I would enjoy it and be delicious.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
But I don't need it, but.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Tany and I go to bed thinking about it.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
I can't.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
My day cannot start without coffee, like we just cannot
start anyway.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
I will tell you about the food you could sub
to get the feeling I'm down to hear if it works.
Let's go to the horoscopes. We do these every morning
at this time. What does your star signs say about

Speaker 4 (05:58):
And Pisces, Today you'll be a f and productive with
problems solving.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
All right, there's some good guidance there. Take a look
at that and see if it fits into your scheme
of things today. Thursday morning, the longest week and a
long time here in Los Angeles, La County, LA City
Fire Departments LAPD officials, authorities, everyone who's doing everything they
(06:25):
can to fight these fires, who've been up all day,
all night, sheltering in vehicles to avoid the winds, and
the fire is jumping. We salute, We think we are grateful.
Words aren't even enough. But if you see any of
those uniformed people, thank them. Yeah, from the bottom of
(06:47):
your heart, as I know you will. This is something
that we've never seen before. Now I just got You've
been getting texts from friends who have been affected by this,
been evacuated. One very good friend of mine, friend for
twenty years, said that got a chance to drive into
(07:08):
the neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
It's leveled, apocalyptic.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
There's nothing left, nothing left on our street, nothing left.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
One of my close family friends, same situation, lost her
entire didn't even think to take clothes because she had
to leave that evacuate so quickly. She got third a
box of memories from her mom that's no longer with her,
and had a few other things and she doesn't even
have underwear.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
Well, look, it's all about saving lives. Yeah, nothing can
replace a life. You can replace all those other things exactly.
It doesn't feel good, but it can be done, and
nothing can take the place of you saving your life
or others. Sierra, who's one of our colleagues. Here's she
on the phone?
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Where is she? She's zoom? So what's you have a
friend that lost their home out in the in the beach.
Speaker 10 (08:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (08:03):
It still just makes me feel sick to my stomach.
What we're currently doing is we're just trying to get
you know, there. They still have to figure out where
they're going to live from here. So one I actually
have two friends. They both live in the same neighborhood,
Sunset Masa over by Getty Villa. They lost their homes.
They have two babies. One of our mutual friends actually
went into labor gave birth at two am Tuesday night
(08:26):
when this was all going down. Oh my gosh, what
we're trying to do, Oh my god. Honestly, it's just
like sickening. We're trying to just get We have like
Google spreadsheets going. I know there's a lot of organizations
out there, but we're just trying to help, you know,
like get as many friends as we can on group text,
just filling in Google docs of what they have to
(08:47):
drop off. Because the thing is is a lot of
these people don't know where they're going to be living, right,
so it's like, yeah, where are you.
Speaker 7 (08:55):
Going to go?
Speaker 11 (08:55):
So it's like, you know, they can't necessarily order you know,
a bunch of diapers and all this stuff. We had
to get them suitcases, you know, because they don't have
anything with them. Like one of my girlfriends, Laura, she
instead of grabbing clothes, she was like, Okay, I'm gonna
grab the you know, if you're a mom, you probably
know what this is. The baby Breza. It's like the
formula maker, like to grab that, like you just have
to think, like, well you can grab. Thankfully they got
(09:18):
out in time because then as everyone saw, it was
like gridlock.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
You know, so what are the options where they think
they can stay?
Speaker 3 (09:25):
This is not something that's going to be fixed in
a month or six months.
Speaker 12 (09:29):
You know.
Speaker 11 (09:30):
Fortunately for them, they have friends who have space in
their homes and everyone's just opening their doors. And then
I think it's just going to be a matter of
I don't even know, maybe airbnbs, maybe just you know,
switching moving houses around. But like again, like a lot
of these people have young kids. Like it's just it's
a lot of like stuff that you don't think about,
(09:51):
Like I know it's just stuff, but again it's like necessity,
you know, and.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Then it's like organization and peace of mind in your
daily routine. Kids got to go to school, exactly how
close is the school? Where is the school?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
The school, all of the things.
Speaker 11 (10:07):
Just it's kind of like, you know, you hear about
it happening, and obviously we live in a region where
you know there's brushfire on this, but it's like once
it hits again, and when it hits someone close to you,
you realize just like, oh my god, like what would
you do?
Speaker 7 (10:19):
You know?
Speaker 11 (10:19):
So, I think the best thing that we can do
for friends or acquaintance is there anyone, you know, is
just offer anything and.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Everything that you can open up our doors if we can.
Speaker 11 (10:29):
Yeah, I think anything little helps, you know, and just
to take the stress off.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Well, thank you for being a good friend to them.
I'm sure they're grateful for that. And good luck with
all of it. Yeah, thank you, Okay, Sierah, thank you
very much. Sierra who I think she interned with us
in twenty ten while she was at UCLA and then
she worked last for many years, came back to work
for us a second time around.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Yeah, you can't scared it at me.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
You can't escape, all right, take care of Srea. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Some people are giving up coffee for at least for
the month or maybe for the year. Not me, but
if it is you.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
They got this new research back out at Westwood in Ucla.
They found the combination of salt, vinegar and crunch of
this food can wake up your senses and enhance your
brain function and energy, much like coffee does. And that
is a pickle. No, first thing in the morning, have
a pickle? Mmm, no, you're not into that.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
I don't like pickles. If it has the.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Same effect as coffee, I'd be down.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
But you see, to me, a pickle has sodium and
all the other things. Yeah, I'm trying not to have
first thing in the morning.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Like bad breath. I guess the coffee I gave you
bad breath too.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Coffee definitely gives me bad breath, for sure. They say
another snack that could do this, roasted salted nuts. But
I'm not trying to eat nuts first thing in the
does sound I'm not trying to do that.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
I'd rather just have a cup of coffee.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Well that's the thing. I'm going back to coffee.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
That like I'm not going to bet at I'm thinking
about a big pickle in the morning.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
I have about a pickle a day, you do, yeah, yeah,
mm hm. My afternoon's nuts like a cumber size out
of a jar.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
I'm not sliced, no, no, no, like a fold the little.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
Ones honkin' pickle.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
I didn't know that about you. So many things being revealed.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Yeah, a little bit.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Turkey eating time.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Is the only currency you spend without ever knowing your
balance usage license.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
It's because FM headlines with siciny.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
Well, what a time to be a firefighter here in
southern California. I mean lots of fires even popped up overnight.
Most were knocked down very quickly, so that's the good news.
The newest major fire is the Sunset Fire in the
Hollywood Hills. It's about forty acres, but most evacuation orders
were lifted overnight. The Palisades Fire is over seventeen thousand
(12:42):
acres with no containment, The Eaten Fire near Altadena is
over ten thousand acres with zero containment, and the Hurst
Fire in Silmar is now ten percent contained and holding
at about eight hundred and fifty acres. School closures will
continue across LA County. LAUSD announced that all schools will
be closed today. Airbnb is providing free temporary housing for
(13:04):
people who have been displaced by these LA wildfires. The
organization has partnered with two one one LA to connect
people with a free place to stay. A boil water
notice has been issued for LEDWP service areas in Pacific
Palisades and adjacent communities, as well as in Pasadena, and
red flag warnings are in effect and will remain in
(13:26):
effect and in place until six pm tomorrow for most
of the area.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
When you do go into an airbnb or you go
into a hotel, do you look in the closet, do
you check on the bed?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Do you make sure no one's no?
Speaker 1 (13:40):
I just move right in, start unpacking.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
I check airbnbs.
Speaker 6 (13:44):
Yeah, Airbnbs are different than hotel because exactly the life
in there.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
A lot of closets could be right, a lot of
places to be in hide, so I.
Speaker 5 (13:52):
Check them and things to hide.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
So what did you you rented one?
Speaker 4 (13:56):
So we yes, like we had a big vacation with
five other families. So each family had their own bedroom
and their own bathroom. And that was like our you know,
our area. And for the most part of the six
days that we were there. Our room was very from
what I thought organized. We had like all the kids
once like the kids were done with their dirty clothes,
(14:16):
we had like in a pile over here, and then
I had all their stuff neatly in sections, and so
I was kind of cleaning up, and then I was like,
what is that? So this is not like day three
we've been at this airbnb, and I'm like, that is
an interesting pattern. I don't think that's any of our clothes.
And so I went to reach down to go grab it,
and I picked it up and it was under the
bed that I had been sleeping under, and it was
(14:37):
a ginormous like pair of underwear like.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Granny panties.
Speaker 6 (14:45):
Like like I had to I had to like unfold them.
Speaker 9 (14:51):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
I didn't know what they were.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
I thought they were maybe even someone else's, like from our.
Speaker 5 (14:57):
Party, you know.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
But when I okay, literally the pattern could have been
like a tank top or a bathing suit, but it
was like legit and I knocking on the panties, but
these were like.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Both stranger granny panties.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
I'm knocking, yeah, and of course I look at my
they're not yours and the boys just had their like
guys night out that night before, you know, but it.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Was just like them all here we go.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Somebody was over.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
I slept slept in that room with all three kids.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
First of all, if I see something like that, I
am getting the fireplace tongs or the tongs from the
kitchen to pull them out.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
It was too late.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
It was too late.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
I already had grabbed them, and I was like, well,
and so we threw them away.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
And then that was that happened to me once in
my own drawers, I found a large bay remember this,
a man's bathing suit in my drawers. It turns out
I had a guy sleep over and this got into
the laundry. Yeah, and then uh, somehow it got back
in my drawer.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
It happens.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Never had that guy sleep over again.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah. But you know, it's these things like this.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Happen to airbnb's because they're turning them over so fast,
they're not checking them with Yeah, because it's like someone
checks out there right back in and we were there
for almost a week.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
I'm sheets, you bring your sheets?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
No I don't, but should I well.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
I mean, I don't know. That could have been the woman.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
Still my own pillow.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
I try to assume that they change the sheets and
it's clean towel story.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
You should assume too much.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Well, after that story, who knows that?
Speaker 3 (16:42):
All right to Ryan's Rose is coming up. But we're gonna
see a decline in dating app usage this year, Sisney,
what's the deal?
Speaker 4 (16:48):
So I'm I'm thinking that they're going to take more
of a back seat because romantic hopefuls are kind of
just dumping the dating apps all together and they're going
to a more public platform, which is their social media accounts.
And there has been a trend and an uptick now
on TikTok and by TikTok users that are sharing almost
like a fifteen second video of what they want in
(17:09):
a partner. And this is that whatever there wants, their
needs and then just say DM me if you're interested.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
It's almost like your own like your own ad, you know.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
And so for example, this this lady said, this girl went,
so I just want to let everyone know that in
twenty twenty five, I will be accepting boyfriend applications.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Yes, very exciting.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
And she gets to be clarifying like the things that
she wants and she's just like, for one of the
things she says, I don't want a guy that's uneducated.
So then from there, the SoundBite got taken by TikTok
users and then they either used her SoundBite or they
created their own. And they're just asking for dms and
applications from their boyfriends or future girlfriends.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Look, I don't hate it. It's a direct path and
they're being up front. You know, I don't know, Sysney.
You didn't do this, Tonny, you did this.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
Yeah, I met a guy on Instagram, doctor W.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
No Kings you met your husband?
Speaker 5 (18:02):
I see him.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Yeah, I was going with the actual one that worked
out that end up spending the rest of your life
with y.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
Yeah yeah, doctor W.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
How's he doing.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
While you're planning your wedding with Roberty?
Speaker 6 (18:13):
Because you guys are talking about dating on social media
and Instagram, and I'm saying it does work.
Speaker 5 (18:18):
I met people through Instagram. I would love to try
this out.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
I'm not going to do that, Okay, single and I wanted.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
To try this.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
I think Mikayla's raised her hand.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Did you put in your advertisement?
Speaker 12 (18:35):
Okay?
Speaker 13 (18:35):
Number one, I'd be afraid to do it, but if
I did, I would just have to say like, I'm
interested in someone who's nice, who who likes music, likes
to travel, just my interest that everybody.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Everybody cares.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
But then this is on her Instagram, so then she
this is going to go to her her followers, and
then someone's.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Gonna see it and they're gonna be like, you know what,
my friend did.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
You should go and look at this.
Speaker 6 (18:59):
Let me this.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Easier for you. Mikayla, name a celebrity you find attractive.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
Oh, good one, Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Joe Jonas.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
Yeah, Jo Jonas is single.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Now maybe I spent New Year's even.
Speaker 13 (19:12):
Yeah, I was really jealous.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Welcome to come any sting jealous, that's nick whatever, don't
confuse the single track. So Joe Jonas is your type? Yeah,
mm hmm, thick dark eyes, because.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
She says that in her video.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
I'm looking for someone that's it looks fast, looks like.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Just a six five five he's yeah, he's nice, he's
my height f l Yeah, but I'm just saying that
makes it easier for because nice, I love to travel
and likes music, that's gonna be everybody. But if you
say I like all those things and I want you
to look like Joe Jonas then that just cuts it
right down to who's gonna apply?
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Well what if? What if not everybody like.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
You that looked like that one actor and you're gonna
like marry him.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
It's like Robbie's doppelganger.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
I'm just saying that, you know, not everybody marries their
their type.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
You know what I mean? Like it should be about
the inside, not the outside.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
She's not posting the advertisement just to get married. She
wants to go out with Joejonas and somebody looks like
him will suit for now?
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Who is the dappelganger?
Speaker 6 (20:27):
Actor Tanya I dev Patel and another actor.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
And like morphed together. It's basically right.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
So you did the exact same thing I'm suggesting Mikayla
to do, and you're getting married.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
It is kiss FM. It is time for Ryan's roses.
Dear Ryan, Sisney and Tanya. I was out of town
with my kids over at New Year's so my husband
was home alone. He appears to have lit a candle
while I was gone. I know my husband. He only
lights candles for one reason. That's from Danielle in Showman Oaks. Danielle,
(21:04):
thanks for coming on with us so I just want
to clarify, what is that one reason that your husband
only lights candles for.
Speaker 10 (21:12):
Oh, well, it's when he's, you know, trying to set
the mood.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
It's about it's about to be the mood, the moment
it's on it's happening.
Speaker 10 (21:21):
Yeah, that's the only time. So what is your candle hunch?
Speaker 2 (21:26):
What is your hunch?
Speaker 10 (21:26):
Then, it's just it's very strange to me. If he
lit that candle, something's going on. He had to have
been with somebody. He wouldn't just light a candle. I
think because we were out of town, that he stayed
home to have somebody over and that he's having an affair.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
And so what was the candle on when you got home? Like,
how do you know he lit the candle?
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (21:56):
So I got this candle from a coworker, you know,
like secret Sannah, and it was still wrapped and brand new.
We have a bunch. I have a candle drawer. I
have a ton of candles that are used, but this one,
I know, was brand new, and when I got home,
it had been used, it had been unwrapped, it clearly
(22:16):
had burned down a little bit, and I did not
touch it because it was a brand new one.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Why is that the only time he lights candles?
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Doesn't he want to Maybe he went into like air
out the room and just have it smell nice.
Speaker 10 (22:30):
Now, I'm telling you he he never lights a candle
unless he's trying to set the mood. And you know
the fact that he said that he had to stay
home and not go on our annual New Year's trip
to Mammoth. I mean I actually felt really bad because
he loved snowboarding, and I felt bad that he had
to work and stay home. But for me to come
(22:53):
back and see that that candle had been lit, it's
the only thing I can imagine. For him to skip
our trip, to miss out on the snowboarding, and that
he had to stay home by himself, there has to
be something going on. He has to be seeing somebody.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Danielle, I need you to say, Ryan, you have my
permission to call, and then your husband's name, Brian.
Speaker 10 (23:17):
You have my permission to call my husband.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
All right, we are going to do that now here,
be very quiet till we find out who he sends
these roses to and what he puts on the card.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Okay, daniel good.
Speaker 12 (23:29):
Luck, Danks.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Hello, Hi's is Adrian.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Yes speaking, Hi there, my name is Cameron. I'm calling
from Luna Flowers. How are you doing this morning?
Speaker 14 (23:52):
I'm doing well, how are you great?
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Thanks for asking.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
Actually, we're a small flower shop here in Sherman Oaks
on Ventura and we're offering a free promotion today. It's
a free dozen red roses that you can send to
anybody that you'd like. They're absolutely free. We're just trying
to promote our new business and you can send them
to anybody. Wait, seriously, yeah, I don't need cash, I
don't need credit card info or anything like that. Just
(24:16):
the name of that we can start with the note
the name of the person you want to send them to,
and we can have them delivered out by lunchtime, or
if you'd like to come pick them up to deliver
them yourself, that works too.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Is there like a service fee or something, no fee whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
We just hope that, like, if you do like our arrangements,
then you would come back as a customer one day.
This is the promotion that we do about once a month.
Speaker 14 (24:40):
Okay, well, I mean nothing is like completely free.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
These are free. Well okay, okay, who would you like
to send flowers to?
Speaker 14 (24:54):
Well, her name is Danielle.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
And what would you like to put on the card?
Speaker 14 (25:03):
I don't know, to the best wife in the world.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Oh, that's sweet, to the best wife in the world.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Okay, Adrian, good morning.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Your voice is being broadcast on the radio, and I've
got your wife, Danielle on the phone. Let me tell
you why we're calling you, Adrian. There's concern your wife
thinks you're having an affair.
Speaker 14 (25:29):
Excuse me, I'm on the radio.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Correct, but your wife has asked us to call you
because she thinks you're having an affair.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Is that the case?
Speaker 14 (25:38):
Wait?
Speaker 2 (25:39):
What so you didn't join the family for New Year's Eve?
Speaker 3 (25:44):
We've got the whole story here, and you apparently lit
one of her candles that she knows was brand new.
She tells us the only reason you would do that
is to set the mood to be with her or
someone else, and she thinks you're with someone else.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
What can you tell.
Speaker 14 (25:58):
Us, Well, no, I didn't do anything.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Why don't you explain to your wife, Danielle, who's on
the phone right now, why you lit one of her
candles and what mood you were trying to set.
Speaker 14 (26:16):
I didn't light the candle Danielle.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
You want to explain what's happening.
Speaker 10 (26:25):
Adrian, I'm here. Why did you light the candle? Come clean?
You only light a candle when you're, you know, when
you're trying to set the mood for us, and you
lift the brand new candle that I got from my coworker.
It was brand new when I left, and when I
got back it was unwrapped and it had burned down
(26:45):
a little bit. So just come clean.
Speaker 14 (26:50):
It's not what you think.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Who is it?
Speaker 10 (26:58):
Who did you have over? Did you have someone over
or not?
Speaker 14 (27:04):
I did have someone over?
Speaker 5 (27:08):
Oh my god?
Speaker 14 (27:12):
Who nobody?
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Goodness, Adrian, you had somebody over? Nobody?
Speaker 3 (27:20):
I mean, come on, you're walking around here in circles.
What happened? Who did you have over while your wife
was gone? And why'd you light the candle? What mood
were you trying to set? Are you having an affair? Adrian?
Answer these questions your wife is asking.
Speaker 14 (27:33):
It's not anyone worth talking about.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
What is her name?
Speaker 2 (27:39):
I don't know.
Speaker 14 (27:41):
I only know the game the name she gave me.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
You're cheating on your wife? Is that correct? You had
someone over and you were with her.
Speaker 14 (27:54):
Look, it was a one time thing. I regretted it immediately.
It was a mistake and it will never happen again.
Speaker 10 (28:02):
There are a lot of things that are never going
to happen again. Do you understand me.
Speaker 14 (28:06):
Don't be like that. It's not a big deal.
Speaker 10 (28:09):
It is an extremely big deal and one you will
regret for the rest of your life.
Speaker 14 (28:15):
It didn't mean anything.
Speaker 10 (28:17):
Okay, hang up the phone.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
He did. He hung up the phone.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
So he didn't go on nears annual trip with you
and he had over It sounds like a one night
stand stranger. Draw your own conclusion, and he's saying it's
not a big deal.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
I mean, he was so calm, like.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Like, how would you be bothered by this? I mean
that part's frightening to me. How calm he was about it.
Speaker 10 (28:52):
It's just so disgusting.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
All right, well, that's listen. We've done what we can
do here and good luck. But my concern is he
did this and he doesn't see what's wrong with it.
I mean, it's it's double edged. Danielle, good luck, thank
you for reaching out. Okay, how is he just saying, yeah,
(29:18):
it's not a big deal, didn't mean anything. You were
gone with the kids on this night and this is
what I did. I mean, she was right, totally right.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
Narcissistic behavior.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
You heard what she said, what she called.
Speaker 5 (29:30):
Him, sociopath. This is what narcissists do.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
They he believes in his head it doesn't matter because
it didn't mean anything, so it shouldn't mean anything to you.
And they say it so matter of fact that you
question yourself. You're like, wait, what, Like it's so manipulative,
but you tried to deny it at first.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
No one came over, no one important. They didn't mean anything.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Yes, yes, yes they did. They came over. You had
the affair. He cheated any why and that's it. I mean,
we got to the bottom of it. So what is
she left to do?
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Leave him?
Speaker 3 (30:07):
He can't stay with him? Means complicated, But he just
didn't get it. He did he violated their trust and
then he didn't understand how it means so much. Alyssa,
you're in Long Beach. You heard the Ryans Roses, go ahead,
what do you think?
Speaker 15 (30:25):
First off, I just want to say to Danielle, like,
I am so sorry for you and for your kids
because honestly, like just what I was hearing there is
a really bad dynamic between you two, Like you you
are very passionate, and he.
Speaker 8 (30:41):
Just seemed like a loose like he seems like he
just like didn't care. Yeah, and the fact that he
did this and was like, oh, like it's just like
a one time thing.
Speaker 15 (30:51):
How many of these one time things do you think
he's had?
Speaker 8 (30:55):
You know?
Speaker 2 (30:56):
I think you know.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
He also it seemed like he wanted to get caught yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (31:03):
And it's like just the fact that he was like
she's nobody worth mentioning, Like I don't know why, but
just like his whole attitude, how he was so lasi
fare about his marriage ending and then that this woman
was just like nobody worth mentioning, Like is she nobody
worth mentioning? Or did she feel like they had something special?
Speaker 14 (31:20):
Like who is this guy?
Speaker 3 (31:23):
I agree he had no conviction, no remorse, no regret,
no passion because it probably.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Wasn't his first time.
Speaker 8 (31:31):
Yeah exactly, That's what I'm thinking, Like, you don't act
like that if it's your first time.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
There's no coming back from this, There's.
Speaker 8 (31:38):
None, there's no coming back from that, Like she needs
to walk away and be done, Like you cannot forgive
this kind of infidelity like uh huh, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Not listen, Thank you for listening, Appreciate the call, Thank
you all right bye. Might make you feel okay about
your relationship after hearing about that. Oh yeah, like maybe
your problems aren't so bad after hearing about that. Yeah,
maybe you've got tension you just need to work through it.
Yes time, I'm going to google lasse fair.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
I like that word she used.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
It's a couple of words.
Speaker 5 (32:08):
Right, Not sure what it means, but I liked it.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
It means lack a daisical.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Like aloof yeah, las fair, lase fair, lazy, lazy attitude.
Speaker 6 (32:19):
Let's see, I don't know how to spell it lase fair. No,
I spelt it so wrong that it didn't even cut.
Nothing came up.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
The policy or attitude of letting things take their own
course without interfering, lase fair.
Speaker 5 (32:39):
Lase's fair spelled interesting? What a great word is it?
Two words though, two words the hyphens.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Okay, thank you very much. The or origin might be
another language French.
Speaker 5 (32:54):
Yeah la, I'm gonna use that words.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Today, Nami h Let it happen on air with Ryan Seacret.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
You know, everybody I know has either been evacuated or
is taking in friends who have been into their homes
with their kids who are just uncertain about what's going
to happen, where they're going to go through all of this.
Let's go back to Ginger Chaan for a second. Ginger,
thanks for all the incredible coverage, both on the radio
and on TV. We appreciate that it seems like most
people are listening to what officials are saying and staying
(33:29):
off the roads where they can when they can.
Speaker 16 (33:31):
Yeah, but you know, I have to say, and I'm
in my other ear, Ryan, I'm also listening to the
press conference and as I'm talking to you, Eli City
Fire Captain Kristin Crawley just said that we are under
we're still under an extreme fire behavior pattern, and so
when we talk about that, it really gives us a
great indication of why people are kind of off the roads, because,
(33:52):
I mean, it is so bad with those swirling winds,
I mean some of them clocked at like ninety miles
per hour and areas of bourbang. We've never seen any
like that before, right, and it was just impossible to see.
And then we're talking about power outages, and you know,
really COVID helped some people be able to work from home,
and I think they were able to utilize that, and
even working from home, without the power, they couldn't do
(34:13):
any work anyway. So I think that that's maybe part
of why we are seeing, you know, better conditions on
the roads.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
But we're really not out of the woods yet.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
And so what is any major issues this morning?
Speaker 16 (34:26):
Yeah, you know, we had people who were kind of
blowing through the intersections where the signals weren't working. You know,
you got to treat it as a four way stop,
and so you see the barricade, you see everything's blocked off.
You see that the flashing lights, and then people were
still blowing through them, and that's dangerous. I wish you
could see my notes. I have like four papers of just.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
You started your notes at one am.
Speaker 16 (34:48):
I did, yes, and from one am yesterday as well.
But I just want to let you know that, you know,
we're kind of like in this lull right in terms
of the winds. You probably already know this, but maybe
like around two this afternoon, if for a lot of
people that's close to like school pickup time, some of
those winds are going to start to strengthen and then
(35:08):
get this. I just checked with our weather department. I
mean they could guss as much as fifteen miles per
I'm talking about today, Santa Clarita, Ventura, parts of Malibu,
possibly as much as sixty five miles per hour, Santa Monica,
the Santa Monica Mountains, and you know these are gusting.
Of course they're not sustained winds, but there's still enough
that puts us in that high wind watch zone, not
(35:31):
high wind warning, but just in the watches. And that's why,
you know, I quote Kristin Crawley, the lacd fire chief,
that you know, we're not out of it because of
these winds that are expected.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
Ginger chan with is a KTLA. All right, go back
to TV. We'll talk to you in a few minutes.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
Thanks so much for always like talking to you.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
All right, she's great. But that's what in the morning
to get all this stuff for you.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
I know she gets up so early.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
But that's what helped us last night is that the
winds weren't as intense as they were the night before
when it was burning in the Palisades and they weren't
able to have helicopters to drop the water.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Yeah, the air assets are so important.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Yeah, and that's what really helped last night with the
Hollywood Hills fire.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
And it sicany we're all thinking about you Studio City.
That house started to catch fire, and there was so
much worried that would be the next fire that would
have spot fires and then jump and spread. Firefighters got
on it quickly and really managed it well considering how
spread the resources are.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
But you had to evacuate.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Yeah, and we didn't have to evacuate, to be honest,
But it was just so scary because when the Hollywood
Hills one erupted, that that forced us to start packing
because that was getting close to us. And then when
Studio City happened, I mean that was literally I mean
not to give you exactly the location where I live,
but it was a handful of streets over from my house,
right and you know, you just don't the winds are
(36:45):
still so unpredictable and who knows how far an ember
could go.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
So you went through that moment of Okay, what do
we take, what do we not take?
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Let's pack up the car.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
And it was so sad and so scary to make
the decisions of what you're going to leave behind.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Here's some video. It's a sound of the video. You
can't see the video on the radio, but here sound
of it.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Let me play.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
We're not bringing.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
It, You're actually going through a box to decide whether
or not to take it.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
What was in the box.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
It was love letters from Michael from our entire relationship, pictures,
just like.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
How did he feel about you saying we're not taking it?
Speaker 1 (37:26):
He told me we can't take it. Michael was very
He's like, I was trying.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
I was getting my scrap books from like senior year
of high school.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
I was just grabbing like.
Speaker 4 (37:33):
What I could, and he's and he's just like, we
need to leave some of this stuffy here.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
You can bring those in here, tany and I would
do a reading a week from that box if you want.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Sure exactly. But you know, we had a pack of
three kids and three.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
Dogs in our car and we did the best we could.
But we were lucky our my brother in law and
his wife lived not too far from us, and we
were able to sleep with them last night. And just
for peace of mind, well.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Let me just give you quickly the update.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
Here Palisades fires over seventeen thousand acres, rolling up on
eight thirty this morning, the Eating fire in the Alta
Dina over ten thousand acres no containment. No containment of
Palisades as well. The Hearst fire and Silm are now
ten percent contained at about eight hundred and fifty acres.
Lots of schools close today as you know, LAUSD and
a whole list of schools closed today. Universal Studios Hollywood
closed again as a boil water notice issued for Palisades,
(38:23):
the Palisades area and the adjacent areas, so don't use
the water there, make sure you boil it if you do,
and the red flag warning is in effect until six
o'clock tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
For most of the area.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
You know, Uber and Lyft are helping evacuated residents with
free rides to shelter locations, So if you haven't heard
about that, you can use Uber promo code Wildfires twenty five.
It's Wildfires twenty five. List promo code is c A
Fire Relief twenty five. So they're trying to help out
with people who need a ride. It is one eight
(38:57):
hundred five too. I one to twenty seven into the studio.
Let me grab Yanni in West La Yanni.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
Good morning, good morning, good morning, Ryan, how's it going. Well,
you tell me you're in West LA where.
Speaker 17 (39:09):
I'm in near Westwood area. Yeah, so we've we've been
afected by by a lot of smoke and I actually
want a pali where they burnt down. And both of
my sisters, Uh, my little sister still goes there right now.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
It's just heartbreaking.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
It's unreal how these fires spread into so many different
places businesses, schools, homes and lives. Yeah, you know, they
also say you mentioned that smoke in your area. You know,
it is dangerous to be outside without a mask on
because there could be tires or all kinds of toxic
stuff in that smoke. That's bad for you and especially
if you've got real allergies too. So that's a note
(39:50):
for anybody kind of in the listening area in the
Los Angeles West LA Hollywood down you know, into the
the basin there, that you you need to be aware
of it, even if you can't really see it. That
stuff can be in the air and cause you some
real problems. So better to be safe than sorry on that.
Speaker 17 (40:08):
So you get a notification last night to just be
prepared just in case we do need to evacuate. It's
a little difficult for the fires, you know, to make
it over to where I live. But yeah, I mean
the way it's going right now, you really never know
what could happen.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
So that's a thing you have to be ready.
Speaker 17 (40:26):
It's very unfortunate. It's very unfortunate, and I never saw
it could ever, you know, ever.
Speaker 12 (40:31):
Get this bad.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
Well, it is bringing people together.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
If there's any you know, bright light, it is bringing
people together. You're seeing neighbors help neighbors, and friends really
help out friends and be selfless. I know a lot
of people are helping out at the shelters as well.
Speaker 6 (40:48):
Have you seen the videos of the firefighters bringing out
photo albums and the keepsakes of some of the.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Harands father, They're risking their lives to go in and
do that.
Speaker 5 (40:59):
I was watching those videos. They are actual angels and heroes,
and I just.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
You know, we say it and I don't even there
are no words that are the right words to say,
you know, when we say thank you, or you just
cannot believe the amount of effort and the hours and
the stress and the risk that they're all taking. Yeah,
for day for night, I mean the twenty four hours
around the clock, and their families who are just in there.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
Being from every single city around the people that put
the firefighters that put up the studio city fire, last
name are from Chatsworth.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Yeah, all hands on deck.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
Well, Yannie, listen, I know you called in for a reason,
so let me get to that you did call hearing me.
I was giving away a five hundred dollars cash card.
I'm going to give that to you. You use it
or give it to somebody that really needs it.
Speaker 14 (41:44):
Right now. Amazing.
Speaker 17 (41:46):
Thank you guys, so so much.
Speaker 3 (41:48):

as they were.

shelters if you need to, or your family. Restaurants offering
free meals. You know, people are coming together and doing
some great things, and you gotta love it, and you
want to shout them out because they're doing it. But
there are restaurants offering free meals to evacuees and to
first responders. And that's Brooklyn Bagel Downtown La. Gonna mention
it all the ones that I saw. Brooklyn Bagel Downtown La.
