Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to You with a Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
So I think I don't know if it was useless
in here. You Tanya put the idea in my head
a while back to make a carb free banana pancakes.
Oh yeah, okay, yeah right, that's so Danya. So I
did make them, and I put the batter, the unused
(00:31):
batter in the fridge. WHOA guess what I had this
morning with my coffee, the unused batter without cooking it.
It's all sort of blended up, but gosh, it was
really good.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Can you do that?
Speaker 2 (00:48):
I think you can.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
It just tastes chalky, It just tastes gross.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
I know, it's like a It's like a thick shake
of the same flavor as the banana pancakes.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
I'm disturbed.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Don't be disturbed.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
It's like bananas exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
There's no egg.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
I don't think there's no there's no When the kids
were starting to eat solids, I tried to make these
banana type pancakes and it just was the mush on
my They really do they sizzle, And I literally did
not make it, did not make a pancake. It was
like a pile of mush.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Did you put it in the blunder what I did.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah, you had to blend it out, telling you. I
don't need to make the cake. I just drink the batter,
I know. And they made a chocolate put a little
chocolate cocaa flavor in there.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Look at you fancy?
Speaker 5 (01:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Anyway, I had it with my coffee like changed me.
Good for you. Thanks.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
My next thing is a protein pancake.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Okay, what's in that protein?
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Cottage cheese?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I don't know. I don't eat dairy.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Oh you're missing out.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Ro I'm not missing out. My intestines are.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Give me a month and you're gonna be like, oh,
why don't you told me about these protein pancakes.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Don't cottage cheese and a pancake?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yes, you're not like cheese, even when you did eat
dairy when.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
I used to eat more cheeses. I like cottage cheese.
But I don't want a pancake.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Oh yeah, you just give it a month.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I'm not going to give it any I'm crawling.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
I can say. You're going to be mentioned these protein pancakes.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
For the protein pancake, that sounds cool.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Can't you put different kind of protein in there? And
said cottage cheese.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Yeah, can you do like the protein that you put
in your shake?
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, put your protein powder in there. Well that flavor
of the potin like vanilla.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yeah, oh so.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Much better than cottage cheese. Okay, okay, Well we have
a better idea and we'll try ours anyway. Good morning,
good morning. Here we are Thursday, November twenty first, twenty
twenty four years almost over. We got sunny and nice today.
High's in the upper seventies. Looks like our first substantial
rain of the season's coming this weekend. Fyl.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
I know it's such a bummer because I was gonna
put up the Christmas lights and now this is like
really might want to wait.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
On that last week?
Speaker 5 (02:51):
Like me?
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Why I couldn't do it last week?
Speaker 2 (02:53):
That was busy, you know, so last week it was October,
No it wasn't.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
It was mid November.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
Please.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
And the holidays are a season yeah on the outside,
oh no, on the inside. And we did our tree
for Christmas lights and tree. Yeah it's a Christmas tree
and Ahnica bush. We are on all you put Christmas
lights inside your house where like below the actually it's
(03:21):
above the fireplace and above like the TV. Love the TV,
so sorry.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Are they white?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
I never had to put like the lights inside. You
wrap them around your garland.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Oh well yeah, my garlic. My garland already has the
lights installed in it, plugging that puppy in.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
I need to get on it. Yeah, time, I need
to get decorating.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah yeah, I mean I can do the inside this weekend.
That'll be cozy. This is the outer, the outdoors, the
outdoor project that is Michael's department. And his foot is
not broken this year, so let's go buddy there in
the rain.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
I don't think Robbie's ever put up a Christmas light
in his life.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
He's Jewish.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
He can't his hands Christmas lights.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
To mess with those hands, and tell me about the
Hanka bush.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
So the Honka bush is basically a small Christmas tree,
but we just decorate it with blue ornaments. So it
is an homage to the Jewish faith.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
They have our Christmas tree by side.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
They're in different rooms.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
They can't co mingle.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
One year we put them in the same room and
it was just like a lot in one room. So
spread the love, you know.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Too much? Tree?
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah, yeah, we separate our trees.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
The top five signs the holidays have arrived. The sun
sets at noon, it is not set down feels like that. Yeah,
like it's already sunset feeling at two.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
I know because some days my kids have after school play,
like where they stay at the school a little bit longer,
and it's and it's like almost dark, and it feels
weird picking up my kits.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
In the dark, I know, in a weird way.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
I like get yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Because you know, I like everything early anyway. I like
dinner for anyone.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
It has reset the dinner and bedtime routine for us exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
And I'm here for down at eight thirty. You feel
like you're up till ten.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I mean we're going down at seven thirty, so good.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Please watch Wheel of four two, then.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Go down Calgary eight o'clock.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, eight o'clock please, uh yeah, that's what's happening. When
it gets dark, you just know it's the holidays. So
let's get to the horoscopes. How is your Thursday, November
twenty one gonna shape up? If you follow your star
signs aries, there.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Is so much power intogetherness. Don't isolate Torres. You will
have a lot of energy to release today. Gemini book

seen in a while.
Speaker 3 (05:39):

Speaker 3 (05:56):
When the student is ready, the teacher appears.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
No, it means when you are ready to learn, your
teacher will appear creepy.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
I think it's all weird.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Yeah, Querius, they open to the kindness and magic of
strangers and pisces.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Combining superpowers is the first step.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
We have a Ryan's roses coming up this morning at
seven forty. Uh, this is really interesting. A brother has
written into us about his brother having an affair with
his wife. Oh no, I don't know if it's true,
but he's basically concern that his own brother is having
a fair with its own wife.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
I mean to go there already, intense.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
I don't think they have a tight relationship. By the way,
if you're dating someone new, I have to tell you something.
I have to tell you something. If you're dating someone new,
I'll do that at six fifty five, you got to
hear this. We have a qult for today as well.
So Thanksgiving is upon us.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
You know.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
For me, we're all in different places trying to get
everybody that can get together together. But my sister goes
with her husband's family.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Mm hm.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
You know, my parents don't travel as easily as they
used to travel, and so you know we will be
in as many places as we can, but also in
different places too. So if you are separated from family,
do you like should have put up a screen and
eat with them on the screen, on the screen good?
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Or you can go with like friends, go with like
another family, be the guests.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
I was just gonna be alone.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
You can them over with us.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
No, I'm not gonna be alone.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
I was like, you can come with us too.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I would love to come with both of you guys.
So if I were to come to your assistanty, what
would it be.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Well, you'd have to pay a cover fee?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Are you charging?
Speaker 4 (07:47):
I am not charging.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
So my sister claimed Thanksgiving like she usually does.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
She called it.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
She called it She's like, oh, I would do all
those thingsgiving great. So that was that, and then she
decided she doesn't want to cook, so she wants to
order all the food this year, which I've done in
the past. I like when I host, we end up
like the majority. Sometimes we just order from Whole Foods
or another place, but we're hosting, so we provide the
food for our guests. So she's because she's buying so
(08:15):
much food.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
She told me.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
My brother's like, hey, can we all split it three ways?
And originally I was like sure, whatever, and then she's
making my brother because he has a blended family. His
girlfriend has two kids of her own, he has three
of his own, so she has so he has more.
They are like a party of seven or nine, which
other pay extra. So she's making my brother pay extra.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Oh no, I understand covering the cost, but don't offer
to host.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
That's what I told her. I was like, you were
the only human that like host Thanksgiving, and it's making
us pay to come inside your home.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
To be fair, when we host Thanksgiving, we don't ask
people to pay, but we ask people to bring, so
everybody wants her argument.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
So this is when I told her. I was like,
I'm going to talk about this on the radio, by
the way, and she was like, go for it. I
don't care. I stand by it. And I said, look,
I'm like, she's like, this is they're reasoning. She said, well,
it's like you would bring a bottle of wine or
like a dish, and that's going to cost you money
to make or work and whatever. So it's just your
kind of be your portion. And I'm like, my kids
barely eat.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I look, I understand her view, but you and she
doesn't have a fair point about the value of a casserole. Sure,
the value of a side dish plus the time it
takes to prepare. And she kind of got a point,
how many people total will it be?
Speaker 3 (09:30):
I think it's probably gonna be somewhere around like twenty
five people.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Well that when you have a family that big, you
need some help.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
Yeah, for sure, I guess.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
But I would never think to charge people if we
like when we've hosted Christmas Thanksgivings all the things and
we buy you buy the food. My brother does it,
he bought the food.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Should be a entrepreneurial on this and make a profit.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
One hundred or you offered to host Thanksgiving?
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Yeah, maybe maybe, but no, it's too much work to
always do it. And that's a lot of people. I
wouldn't want to.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
We did Christmas last year and it was like thirty
people had to get a big long table and it
was just you know, a lot.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
I'm like regretting we decided this, You're not to host
Thanksgiving just because we have so much going on, We're
trying to save money, and now I'm like majorly regretting it.
Like I'm like sad, where are you gonna go? We're
gonna go to San Diego and have dinner just with
my parents.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Don't you tell them that?
Speaker 1 (10:18):
No?
Speaker 4 (10:18):
I mean, I'm excited obviously for the quality time, but
I feel like I like hosting the big having everyone.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah, I like things starting at eight, the aromas, the preparation. Yeah,
me and my slippers and my matching You've seen my pajamas,
haven't you.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
I'm I've seen the matching run, the matching blue ones, the.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Blues, the blue. Yeah, I'll wear my blue pajamas.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Oh, there's gonna be great football too.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
No, not Thanksgiving?
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Is that on Christmas Day? One of those? Well both,
I guess Thanksgiving, but I was thinking of with the
Beyonce one for Christmas Day.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Well, football at nine in the morning on the West
which of the bell. Oh yeah, Okay, have you met
your soulmate? I got three signs that say you have.
You know, when you date people generally you gain weight. Yeah,
it's so true. It's like, I'm not a dessert guy
at all unless your whistle has dessert and then you
eat dessert all the time.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
You bit here, a bite there.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
But like I don't, it doesn't, It doesn't cross my mind.
But somehow dating and sugar goes along.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah, because it's cute after dinner.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
It's like, how are you not going to get a
little And also you don't want to like wake up
on the weekend and go to the gym like I
would normally? Do you want to like cuddle?
Speaker 5 (11:31):
No?
Speaker 2 (11:31):
I want to wake up and go to the gym? Okay,
so romantic? You know, think you criticize my romance, But
why don't you talk to somebody that's day to me
and come back to me?
Speaker 4 (11:43):
I would love nothing more honestly. Wow, wouldn't make.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
You choose now?
Speaker 4 (11:51):
I think you should choose. No, I don't care talk
to anyone.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Anyone you pick?
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Well, I mean, do they want to open up that
of worms? Maybe you know it's in their past.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Now I don't know. I'm not calling them. I don't care.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Go for it.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
So here are three signs you've met your soulmate. You
better be paying attention to this over there.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
And you know I can't hear.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
I just came in. You just came in. Put your
headphones on. This is important. Three signs you may have made.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
It's important.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
So when you meet it, dude, and these three things happen,
it's your soulmate. What are the three things I'm getting
on now? You care about their opinion and they care
about yours.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
Very important.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
You're okay being bored together. I love that, Yes, because
I am super boring.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
I love nothing more than just to be on the couch,
silent with my part. Don't talk to me. I just
want you next to me. I just don't like.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Orbit talk talk talk back.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
And the last one is you're okay doing things without
each other. Yes, I don't buy that last one.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
You don't need to be like super cleaning all the time.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Yeah, I like the person around.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Yeah that's nice.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
It's also okay to like be on your own. I'm
on my own here, but that's no, you're not. You're
here with us. That's on my own true, it's different.
It's not on your own because when I used to
do the midday show, that's on your own. You like
are silent. Yes, it's very it's a very different transition
(13:34):
coming and do it like a morning show where they're like,
there's so much, so many people in so many opinions,
and I'm like, God, when I did my show was
just by myself. Nobody ever came in.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
It's like happy lunchtime. Here's peaceful, all right, today's quote.
Start pointing out what you love about yourself rather than
what you hate. I will never do this, but you
should be so good.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
No, I can't even think of like one thing, Yes
you can.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
All I see is right, See, all I see is
the flaws.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Sissy. You are so on top of it. You organized, Ryan,
you are so full of energy and joy.
Speaker 5 (14:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Yeah, I have six pack ads right, any longer legs
for me?
Speaker 2 (14:24):
That'd be cool.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
You could find a soul may I'm telling you.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Is FM headlines with Sisy Well.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Coachella unveiled it's twenty twenty five line up, with Lady Gaga,
Green Day and Post Malone headlining across the two weekends
in April. UCLA is expected to have the first wireless
charging roadway in California. The road will be embedded with
chargers under the pavement to wirelessly power vehicles driving on it.
Lax Is Long Away to Train system is reaching a
(14:52):
key milestone. Train cars will soon move along tracks over
Sepulva and Century Boulevards for the first time as part
of a new testing phase. And the twenty seventh annual
Persian Square Holiday ice Rink opens to day with a
tree lighting ceremony. It's going to be open through January twelve.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
On air with Ryan Secrets.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Well, I got Ryan's roses coming up. So his brother.
I guess his brother left his wife a few months ago,
saying that he realized he was gay, and now he
thinks that his brother Julian, who wrote to us, thinks
his brother is also attracted to his wife and is
cheating on him. His cheating on his wife, meaning his
(15:38):
wife's cheating on him with his brother. That's exactly what
I think is happening. So that's coming up in a
few minutes. Seven forty I got Jingle Bowl tickets this hour. Hey,
Tanya wants to wear matching outfits. The jingle Ball is
the season? What do you mean by this?
Speaker 4 (15:52):
So I thought it would be like really cute if
we weren't just like cohesive this year, but we were
kind of like the mean girl how they did their
little performance, you know, all a little like or our
take on a Santa outfit.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Okay, So what would I wear and what would you wear?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Well, that's up to you. Like, you could wear whatever
you want your take on Santa. You could wear a
fully red suit. You could wear a little white puff
puffy cuffs.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
Not.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
I don't know, Santa, it's so cute.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
It is not cute.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I know you want us all to be Santa.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Yeah, like our own take on it, you know what
I mean? Or like if you want to be Santa's
little helper or if you know what I don't understand,
can you dress like an elf?
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Or maybe you could be like a snowman? No, like
costume adjacent, do you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Like what about just the Santa hat?
Speaker 4 (16:51):
No, that's costume.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Okay, Well I'll tell you I found a brown suit.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Oh my god, I found.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
A brown suit a few months ago, and I thought
this is Jingle Bowl round.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
So jealous that you found it a few months ago?
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Like, yeah, Yeah, I saw it and I was like,
it's just because it's sort of it's brown. I know
it's not holiday colors, but it felt festive.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Where'd you get it? Can you send me the link?
Why look you for a brown suit for Robbie.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
You can't get us.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
That's so weird, not weird at all.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Why are you trying to find him at brown suit?
Speaker 4 (17:22):
Yeah, it's why brown for wedding stuff. I just need
him in brown at points.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
So, oh you need him brown? Here you will take
direction from me and wardrobe cues for me. And here's
where I need you in brown. Now I need you
in lavender. Change your change.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
Uh so you already have your jingle ball off, and
so this is just out the window.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
You know.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
I was just giving you the forum and I was
gonna put poo it at the end.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Maybe you could be the wood. This is not going well,
like the wood in the fireplace that Santa goes down
the chimney. So one of that's gonna be Santa. You
can be the wood, and then Sisney can be.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
It's hard enough for me to find an outfit that
I feel comfortable in and like, feel like good in,
and so like them to add these like barriers of
like and that needs to be Santa theme. That stresses
me out.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah, and I'm gonna walk around like a Dura flame.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Yeah, like I light you up. I'm the wood for
the fireplace.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Santa's Jimmy Tony told me be the wood. I think
we're gonna go our own directions day.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
That's fine, it's cute.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
It's made for the at home holiday party. Ryan's Roses
coming up? Maybe at home I have a party together. Uh,
giddy about the fact that we're a week out from Thanksgiving,
you know, about the fact that the holiday decorations are
going up in more places.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
It's true.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
I don't know how giddy I am about this Ryan's Roses. Uh.
It is an intense inter family issue between brothers.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
I don't love that.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
No, do you want to walk out?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
No?
Speaker 3 (18:54):
It just breaks my heart that if it's really going
to be the case of, like the brother is cheating
with his wife or the brother's wife.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
That's what the brother brother A thinks, Brother B, yeah,
is being intertwining. Yeah, so you got to stick around
for that. That's literally minutes away. So Wicked finally opens today.
Look at the calendar. It is the day we've been
waiting for it. Has it been a decade, Has it
been ten years we've been waiting for this movie. It's
been a long right exactly. I've seen the musical twice already.
(19:24):
So yes, everyone is excited for this movie. And what
are they saying. They're saying something about it that moviegoers
are being warned not to do something when they see it,
I know, and.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
It's gonna be so hard for you to not do it.
And it's singing, so everyone is being worn or or
they're saying, like if you're gonna go see it, like
within these nexts like right when it comes out, you're
probably gonna be in a theater with like a lot
of like musical theater people that either wanted to be
on Broadway maybe didn't do it, and they just know
(19:56):
every single lyric to these songs, and they're being worn,
like just try to hold back, like try to hold
back and not saying popular when Ariana Grande, I'm I'm
split on this.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
I don't want to be next to somebody that wants
to be on Broadway while I'm watching her, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 5 (20:14):
I mean?
Speaker 2 (20:15):
But I do get that you're going to have that
inner feeling that tingles your senses to make you want
to do it.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
I don't even want to be on Broadway and I
want to sing along to these songs.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
You want dancing with the stars, I know the same thing.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
It doesn't matter, but I mean, but the point is, like,
even if you like knew your face. It was like
the Taylor Swift thing when they when they went to
see the Airs movies. Everyone saying along.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
That's different for me, different concert because you went to
a concert movie that was actually a concert. This is
a musical movie, not actually.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Okay, same, don't just apples oranges, tomato tomato.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Mark mark this conversation. When you either have to nudge
someone next to you for singing out loud or you
have to fight yourself, how do you hold back from
defining gravity?
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Gravity?
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Oh, by the way, we're not talking about how this
is part one of Wicked. Part two is going to
come out next year, so keep that in mind. And
everyone's saying it opens tomorrow, it really kind of opens today.
And it's like every two hours or every hour you
can find a show starting at two pm today.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Tickets are going to be a hot item today on
two point seven FM. It's time for Ryan's roses. So
I'm going to bring in Julian. Julian is in Claremont. Julian,
good morning, and thank you for coming on. You have
a weird situation. I just want to read the email
and then we'll get into it. But your brother left
his wife a few months ago saying he's gay. Yeah, okay,
(21:57):
so came is a great shock to her and a
shock to you know. It was something that noither of
you knew. And lately he's been spending time with your one.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Your brother.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
Yeah, he told his wife and his kids that he
was gay, and uh and that was yeah, and then
and now he's just kind of been hanging around a
lot more.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
So Okay, so he's hanging around your wife. He said
he's gay, and what's your concern?
Speaker 6 (22:27):
Yeah, so he's like, you know, I'm obviously I know
my brother been anyone, and uh, he's just kind of
always been a bit of a player.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
You know.
Speaker 6 (22:38):
We were all like, we were shocked just when he
got married, uh well you know, obviously to his ex wife,
but you know, we were even more shocked when he
ended it saying that he'd realized he was gay. Ah,
so much so that I was like, I wondered if
it was even true. You know, like my brothers kind
(23:01):
of had this history of being a bit of a
I mean, I don't want to be mean, but like
a scam artist. I guess, you know, he just uh,
he really cheated a lot in high school in college.
He's just he's always been that kind of guy who
would just say anything to get what he wanted. And
so so yeah, I talked to I talked to him,
(23:23):
you know, it was just uh, just the two of us,
and you know, he said all the right things and
said that he's he's known for some time. He hopes
that I can accept him this way.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
You know.
Speaker 6 (23:37):
It was it was actually really like it was a
really great night. We both shed some tears, and I
just felt closer to him than I ever have. But
then he got really close with my wife, and he's
like just over all the time, and they even go
(23:57):
out together and they text each other and they're laughing together,
and I'm just like, I'm just wondering, Yeah, I mean,
I'm kind of wondering if I'm the one and guy
who had scammed here by by both of them, you know,
just so I understand.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
For clarity, Are you thinking that he might be also
involved with your wife?
Speaker 5 (24:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (24:25):
So so you're thinking he's.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Not gay and that he's with your wife.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (24:29):
I mean, to be honest, I don't really trust either
of them right now. She cheated on me right before
we got married. We went to counseling, you know, worked
it out. We went through with the marriage anyways, and
he was really really.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Great for a while.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
But if I'm being honest, I'm not I'm not sure
that we've slept together since my brother started hanging around
all the time, and things aren't really great with us,
And I'm just I'm trying that I'm hoping that it's
not because of my brother, but I'm really trying to
wonder if that's what it has to do with.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
You know, all right, this is fully loaded. Let me
let me put you on hold for a second. I
got it. He doesn't he doesn't trust well, it doesn't
sound like there's a lot of love between he and
his brother anyway. I doesn't trust his brother to not
want to be with his wife and doesn't trust his
wife because his wife already cheated on him. So where
is this going to go?
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Now?
Speaker 2 (25:25):
A lot of layers to this one. So Julian said
that his brother was always a scam artist, always cheating, lines, steal,
so there's not a lot of love between the two
of them anyway. As of recent Julian's brother came out
and said he's gay and has been spending time now
with Julian's wife, who cheated on Julian before they got married,
(25:47):
and they're hanging out a lot, a lot, and he
thinks that it's possible that his brother, I don't know,
his brother lied about being gay, but is having an
affair with his wife. Also, that's the one. He doesn't
trust his wife, and he doesn't trust his brother. And
that's scary. Who we're about to call. We're calling his brother.
(26:15):
So let me get Julian. Julian, what's your wife's name, Lisa.
Let's see if your brother sends flowers to anybody else
or Lisa. I don't know where this is gonna go,
but we are gonna call your brother right now. I'll
be very quiet. I need you to say, Ryan, you
my permission to call, and then your brother's name.
Speaker 6 (26:35):
Cool, you have my permission to call.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
We do that right now, and here we go. Good luck,
let's see what we learned. Y.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Hi is this Josh, Yes, it is. My name is Emily.
I'm calling from the Enchanted Garden. How are you doing
this morning?
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Hello?
Speaker 5 (27:07):
Josh? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (27:09):

Speaker 5 (27:21):

Speaker 3 (27:23):
No, no, no, before before you hang out there free. I
don't eat cash from you. I don't need your credit
card info. I don't eat anything like that. We're just

anybody that you would want to send them to.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
What's the catch?
Speaker 4 (27:41):
They are free.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
There's no catch except for, like you know, if you
like them, then maybe come back as a customer one
day or spread the news to your friends and family
about our arrangements.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
And that's.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
That's correct, sir?
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Okay, great, all right.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
What's the name of the person you want to send
them to.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
Let's see, all right, send them to Jennifer Colin and Alison.
The address is seventy six.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
So hang on one second, Hang on one second, you said, Jennifer.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
Jennifer Colin, And.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Okay, what would you like to put on the note?
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Just put them? Miss you three every day, See you
soon love that.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Okay, miss you every day. Love dad?
Speaker 5 (28:34):
Yeah, see you soon, love dad.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Okay, see you soon, love dad.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Hi, Josh, your voice is being broadcast on the radio.
My name is Ryan and I have a sistenin tany here.
We're on the air, and you have three kids?
Speaker 5 (28:50):
What what? Wait? Wait, hold on what.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
I said you have three kids?
Speaker 5 (28:56):
I didn't have three kids. But is this and the
flowers real? I don't think what you guys are doing.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
The flowers are not real? Are Jennifer calling and Addis
and your kids?
Speaker 5 (29:12):
Yeah? I just said yes much? Is I don't Yeah?
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Okay, all right, Josh. We have your brother Julian on
the phone, and.
Speaker 5 (29:21):
Julian guys everything, okay, what what? What?
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Well? We don't know that that's the thing. We don't know.
We don't know if you're having an affair with Julian's wife.
Only you know that, Josh.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
Like what you're at our house? All the time, and
you two are going out all the time, and it's
just like it's making me really uncomfortable.
Speaker 5 (29:46):
Bro, are you are you for real right now? Do
you have any Bro? Do you remember allow Shannon and
I broke up in the first place? I mean, no,
I know, I know it's I just left my wife
because of my sexuality, and now you're asking me if
(30:08):
there's something wrong with yours. No, it's not. Yeah, I
just don't know if I buy it. Man, I know
we talked it out. I just buy what that. I
just just like, hell, what are you talking about? Why
are we having this station on a radio? Can you?
I mean, can you blame me?
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Like?
Speaker 6 (30:28):
Remember when when I told I'm back in college. You
told that girl that you were friends with Taylor Swift's brothers.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
Just to go out with her, just to go out
with you years ago. That was a lifetime ago. This
is come on, man, you're gonna make a wire.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Dude.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
How am I supposed to trust anything you say? Okay, okay,
all right, here's the deal. I'm gonna just ignore what
you're asking he right now because it's ridiculous. You already
know my situation not having to share with your wife
that I'm gonna be honest with you right now. And
you know that you don't want to hear this, but
here it is. Your wife and I have really become friends,
(31:08):
which was always there was always that potential, just friends.
I have no way. She has no interest in me.
It's not romantic for anything like that, or sexual or whatever.
But I have to tell you as your brother, she
is not happy in the relationship, and that's calling up. Well,
(31:28):
I'm pleased, brother, and I just cant to speak. That
go for a lot of really deep conversations because I
needed a friend too, and I needed someone to confide in.
It turned out to be her. We talked. I talked
about my situation as she talked about hers. And she's
not happy in your relationship and you're going to have
(31:49):
a lot to work on. Why is she telling you this?
I don't know why. She's because we got close. I
needed someone. She was there for me. She needed someone
in turn, and I was there for her. So we
just all that we trusted. Don't know personally, it's not
(32:10):
it's you have to just think of me as a friend.
You need to talk to your wife. He has some
things to work out I'm serious. He loves you, but
you have to worsess not cool, man, No, it's it's
a This is a blessing because these conversations weren't happening.
I'm telling you you need to look at this way.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
We shouldn't be here.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
So I'm telling you, man, you just talk to her. Police,
just talk to her. She wants to talk to you.
Just talk to her. There's I'm going to be worried about.
But unless you guys don't have to come want to.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
I want to trust you, I, Julie and I. If
you're just getting here, you're listening to Julian and Josh,
who are brothers, and Julian suspected his brother's right now.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
We're on the radio.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Man, it's all on the air. Yeah. And so Josh
came out not too long ago and left his wife,
and Julian never trusted you, Josh. Just so you know,
not to for salting the wound here, but I guess
you guys never had a really great relationship and just
(33:30):
and he said he didn't trust you, and he thought
maybe you were having an affair with his wife. And
it sounds like you're not. But you've become close and
you've revealed that he's got problems, she's not happy, and
that's where we are, and I think it's we're ready.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
Oh that's a good thing. I had left my wife
because because he was gay, I came out. And now
you're on the calind is that asking me about having
an affair with your wife, which I of coursed him
not and the opposite is true. I'm trying to give
you some insight into your relationship. I know.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
It's just the way you guys like text and laugh
and talk all the time.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
It just you got I are friends. She is my
sister in law. Okay, so you guys are on the.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Okay, yeah, Josh, everything, everything's being heard, So let me
just let you guys run, all right. Thank you for
your time, Josh Julian, thanks for reaching out. I hope
this is valuable information.
Speaker 5 (34:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:30):
Yeah, conversation will be continued next time like this on
national radio.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
Let's just yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna call you right now. Okay.
Let don't know who these people are. Thank you, Thank you. Okay,
all right, I'll.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Talk every day. He's like, who's this boy. I don't
think he realized he was on the air.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
We should make sure he knew well.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
He knew every time on air with Ryan Seacrest. On
Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
If you missed Ryan's roses a few minutes ago, it
was definitely one of the more compelling Julian and Josh brothers.
Julian thought that his brother might be a an affair
with his wife. Josh just came out as gay to
his family, but Julian says, his brother's always scamming and
doesn't really trust him. I thought it was feasible, plausible
(35:39):
that he could be gay but also want to have
an affair with his wife. They became very close, very tight. Yeah,
and we got Josh on the air. He said the
flowers to his kids, and they got into it Julian
and Josh, and Julian said, hey, bro, I don't trust
my wife. She cheated on me once. I don't trust you.
You've always sort of in a scammer. What's going on?
(36:02):
And Julian, I don't know if he ever figured out
he was on the air, but he eventually got to
the place where he's like, no, dude, we're just close.
While we're here. Let me tell you, Julian, your wife's
not happy, and then Julian said, well, why is she
telling you? And Josh was like because we're friends, and
he's like, this is you need to hear this because
she's not happy, and we just listen.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Yeah, we said nothing. Do you believe him? Do we
believe Josh the brother that came out to his ex
wife and all that, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
I do believe him. Sisnanty, you don't believe him?
Speaker 3 (36:37):
I know I believe him, but I'm I'm having a
hard time with Julian being jealous of the fact that
they're close.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
So I think what Julian is missing in his relationship
is that tightness with his wife. Yes, they've got the
closeness exactly, and so he is jealous of the closeness
that his brother has, right.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Because they have inside jokes together, they hang out, they
do that, and it's like it.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Sounds like that's what Julian needs to fix. In Claremont, Huh, exactly. Well, Charlene,
how are you in North Rage?
Speaker 7 (37:08):
Hey, good morning, how y'all doing.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Look we're doing great, and just want to get your
take on that Ryan's roses. I mean, you heard all
of it. What do you think?
Speaker 7 (37:17):
Well, you know, it's it's such a weird way for
something like that to come out, But these things happen
when they happened, so this was the catalyst for it,
so it's good that it came out. My issue is
that although he wasn't literally cheating in the way in
which we'd think it would be in terms of physically
(37:38):
or something like that.
Speaker 8 (37:39):
To me, it's emotionally cheating, and it's putting a lot
of a lot of energy and time and space and
all of that into something that his brother sees as
some type of threat or problem or whatever it is.
Speaker 7 (37:56):
Now, if the honesty that seems to have just come
out can patch all three of them a little bit,
then you know it's worth having it. But it can't
continue like this because the trust thing is really an
issue here from my point of view. So I would
say they got to all sit down and have conversations
(38:18):
in some different groups, or maybe they need a third
you know, a third party. I'd like to think it's fixable,
because that's the way I want to see things happen.
But and you know, they obviously care about each other,
but it's a little it's a little tense at the moment.
So I just think they sort of need to step
back and have some really hard conversations and do it
(38:39):
with love.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
I think it's good advice.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Man.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
I was very well said, and it sounds like they
It did sound like they were getting to a place
where they could do that, But I hope.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
So.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
I'm glad we had the conversation. I'm glad those two
had a chance to speak. And if you missed it,
it's gonna be on a podcast later. It's very interesting,
very different from what we normally here on Ryan's Roses.
And Charlene, thank you very much for listening in Northridge
this morning.
Speaker 8 (39:07):
Thank you all too, very much.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
All right, she is a great advice She sounds like
a professional advice giver's a therapist.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
And that's what I was thinking. I was like following
along the whole time.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Get her number. So that's Ryan's Roses. It could go
any direction, anytime, but it's Mondays and Thursdays. It starts
at seven forty. All right, Let's get into a trending report.
Tony has this Florence Pugh story.
Speaker 4 (39:31):
Yes, and I love that she is opening up about
this because it's something that many many women struggle with
and yet nobody really talks about publicly. So Florence decided
to freeze her eggs at age twenty seven when she
discovered that she had PCOS and endometriosis. These are conditions
that could make it challenging for her to conceive later
in life, and also something very very common in women.
(39:54):
She said, I had this sudden feeling that I should
go and get everything checked. I'd had a few weird dreams.
I think my body, he was telling me. So she
went on to say how bizarre it was because her
family they're like baby making machines. She said, her mom
and her grandma both had babies into their forties and
here she is at twenty seven, freezing her eggs. But
I think it's a great conversation to have because a
(40:14):
lot of women, I know, I feel like it's the
topic of conversation with all of my friends, whether to
freeze now, to freeze later? Should we freeze? You know,
and Demetrius's pcos. These are very common things that a
lot of women struggle with, and so I think it's
like just kind of a wake up call to get
your body checked and figure out what's best for you.
Because what's best for your friend doesn't necessarily mean it's
(40:36):
right for you.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
When your friends ask you about it, you say, it's
a conversation between your friends. Yeah, what do you say
to them, because, like you said, you don't know what's
best for them may not be the same for you.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
So, like I went at got my eggs checked around
three years ago because I had no idea, never gotten
my egg checked. I have not frozen my eggs, and
it's something that I chose not to do because I
that's just what I thought was right for me. But
that's my path because I went and got all my
eggs checked and the doctor said, everything looks good. You
(41:07):
have good numbers. So I just kind of am going
with that. But that might not be what's right for
someone else.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Gets me thinking about my age. Actually, yeah, well you
don't have eggs. If I responded with them, I don't
have eggs, but I have I have a role in
all of this.
Speaker 3 (41:24):
But you know, and on the other side of this,
like I have PCOS. I found out around probably the
same age, not twenty seven, I like closer to twenty
nine thirty that I have PCOS And I didn't freeze
my eggs and I ended up having twins and another baby,
all natural and you just never know.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Yeah, that's true, all right, something to think about for sure.
Interesting conversation, Mark, thank you for the sure my age.
Are you older than I am? Yes?
Speaker 5 (41:51):
I am.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
Well if you were me, what would you be thinking.
I would be thinking that you've still got some time.
It's different for guys.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
What's there to check?
Speaker 5 (41:58):
Well?
Speaker 3 (41:58):
I guess the obvious.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
We do have a part in this, so let's leave
it at that. But Mark's voice went up a little
bit when he said, yes, time a little bit, Jackie.
Password is the game. How are you this morning? Good?
Speaker 5 (42:13):
How are you good?
Speaker 2 (42:15):
Thank you for checking in? Uh, it is going to
be jingle ball for you if you are successful in password,
presented by Capital One. It's a fun game to play.
It's very actually pretty simple. Here's how it works. Those
of us here in the room everybody listening will know
the password. You will not. We'll give you one word clues.
With each clue, it gets you closer to guessing the password.
(42:37):
Are you down?
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Yes, I'm down?
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Okay, good Jackie. Hold one second, but first tell us
about yourself. I need to know a little bit about
Jackie before I just jumped into password.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
So I am a mom of three beautiful girls, and
who have, by the way, have been pressuring me to
win these tickets.
Speaker 8 (42:55):
So I have a lot riding on the line.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
A righty, And are they all old enough to go
to jingle Ball?
Speaker 8 (43:02):
What's the eight?
Speaker 5 (43:04):
I have a mom, I have a fourteen and seven
year old.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
I think seven's great. I took the twins last year
and they were only five.
Speaker 5 (43:11):
Oh my god, she's gonna freak out if she got
to go.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
You need four tickets then, and I'm going to just
go ahead and yeah, executive decision that we're playing for
fourteen years.
Speaker 8 (43:19):
Oh thank you.
Speaker 5 (43:20):
Oh my gosh, she's gonna freak out.
Speaker 4 (43:21):
She wants to see Megan Trayin.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
Are so bad?
Speaker 2 (43:24):

I mean, this is your need to win these tickets.

Speaker 5 (43:34):
No pressure, all right, So.
Speaker 2 (43:36):
I gotta put you on hold. By the way, how
is that kombucha in the back. You guys are sipping
that kombucha? Looks really good.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Whatever the passion fruit one is.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
It's amazing. Yeah. The healthy kombucha is so good. Grab
a coldon over and bring it over here? All right, Jackie?
Hold one the second? What's the password? Mark? The password
is muffin? Hey, Jackie, vouch for the word because it
(44:06):
wasn't my choice. But here we go. I'll start blueberry.
Speaker 3 (44:13):
Fruits.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
Okay, not it, but just keep listening to these words.
Here we go, next city, baked, baked and blueberry. What's
the password?
Speaker 1 (44:27):
Pie?
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Not pie? Okay, keep going, blueberry baked and Tanya pastry m.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
Blueberry muffins.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
What clue gotter? There? Muffin is not a pastry?
Speaker 1 (44:44):
It is?
Speaker 3 (44:44):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Technically a pastry has to be.
Speaker 3 (44:48):
I feel like a pastry.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Jackie. Congratulations, you have four tickets to jingle Ball present.
I can't wait for you to tell them. What are
you going to tell them?
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Well, I I have my forking on a car.
Speaker 5 (45:01):
She's freaking out.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
What's her name? Bella Hy You're going to jingle Ball.
You're going to see Megan Trainer.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
You should thank your mom. You treat her to a
blueberry muffin to celebrate. We love you, guys, thank you
for listening to night so much. We love you, all right,
hold on one second, what is the definition of a
pastry versus a muffin.
Speaker 4 (45:29):
The word muffin comes from the French word muflette, which
means soft bread, the modern muffin.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
That's the question.
Speaker 4 (45:41):
Please, what does pastry mean to say?
Speaker 3 (45:47):
Is a pastry?
Speaker 2 (45:49):
Yes, it is. A muffin? Is a pastry?
Speaker 4 (45:52):
Yes, that's what I said.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
No, I thought it was more like flaky and you're
thinking like.
Speaker 3 (45:57):
An English muffin, which is more bread light one.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
Thinking that at all. I was thinking it needs to
be flaky and buttery like a croissant.
Speaker 4 (46:04):
No, like on a menu it says like pastries, I
would say a croissan is a pastry as well.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
It is the croissan is a pastry. But I didn't
think a cross. I didn't think a pastry is a muffin.
First of let's talk about proposals. How many if we
had as recently as last year or two Tanya Ruby
Collette right, yes, so that's three tubs and tubs my gosh,
that's four in the last eighteen months, for the last
eighteen months. Would everybody here and you don't have to
(46:30):
you don't have to say anything. You can just nod
because I don't want to get you in trouble. Would
everybody here rate their proposals as an a yes, okay?
Speaker 5 (46:39):
No?
Speaker 2 (46:40):
I said no.
Speaker 5 (46:41):
No.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
I always say something because now something isn't you know,
could be in trouble. I'm just going to tell you
that of all four not everybody nodded yes. Okay. So
that's where we are. And the biggest things people would
change about their proposal is the place that like for
those who said no, was the place the wrong thing?
Speaker 1 (47:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (47:02):
For me it was, But that's fine.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
I guess you're good. You've been married long enough.
Speaker 3 (47:09):
He Carol talk about it.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
He knows it. I don't want the other persons to
be called off, so he admits to the location or
admits no.
Speaker 3 (47:18):
I mean, look, he did the best he could given
the circumstances. But the story is, I thought he was
going to propose in Venice, Italy, like when we were there,
and he did not. So he recreated it in Long
Beach in the canals. Is still with a gondola, you know,
kinda just like Italy.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
But he was cleverly threw you off. Only thirty six
percent of people have got down on one knee.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
He still got down on one knee, even on the gondola.
I'll give him that.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Oh that's dangerous. You could rock the boat exactly. Yeah,
I'd be so worried about the ring. Yes, losing the
ring stepping off of the dock into the gondola.
Speaker 4 (47:55):
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
So just think about that. How is your proposal? How
would you rate your proposal?
Speaker 5 (48:01):
