Speaker 3 (00:09):
It's Friday, July twenty six. It's a very big day
around here. It's the end of the week. It's the
wrap up. It's exciting when you get through and accomplished
another week in the summer.
Speaker 4 (00:19):
Although we're starting to get close out of school starting again.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
So it's almost like you wanted to slow even though
I want the week to go fast to get to Friday.
It's Tanya, don't judge, but I do want Friday to
come fast. I don't want summer to go by, and
I don't want school to start so fast.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Oh yeah, summer's basically over. No, we have all month
of August.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
No, no, the school. Yeah, school's back in like two weeks.
It doesn't matter. The summer months are June, July, and August.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
How can you say it doesn't matter when you're in school.
Speaker 5 (00:44):
In Alum Yeah, LAUSD starts on August twelfth. Summer is
Summer is the summer months. It doesn't correlate to school.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
It does like free days and summer days. What summer is? Oh?
Speaker 2 (00:57):
I feel like we all start summer a little early,
like ones may hit it. We're kind of like, okay,
feeling summer vibe.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Some schools start August fifth, Wow, some schools start in
an hour.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
It's true August fans for sure.
Speaker 6 (01:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Backroom, Good morning, Tubs. What are you wiring back there?
Speaker 7 (01:13):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:14):
This is Mizzy.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Sissy's got him in all.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
There's a lot going on, cables everywhere, everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
They're setting up a camera for the back room. I
told Tubs, I didn't like the angle that he had before,
so now it's it took him into a whole rabbit
hole of differences.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
True, Tups.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Did she say she didn't like her angle for the
internet or whatever? The YouTube posts?
Speaker 1 (01:36):
He can't hear those videos don't go anywhere, right.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
No, it's not so much that it's like it's for
my own eyes.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
But she doesn't like seeing herself in that.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Don't look at you on a screen, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
It's like I'm on there twice. So it's just I know,
I didn't think.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
I didn't think you could just scoot over your blocking
Ruby Colette.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
But he's been working on this forty five minutes, and
I feel terrible.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
It became a can of worms over here. Oh, my gosh,
what are you actually trying to do.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
A quick thing like, oh, let's just try this, I'll
get it work.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
But it back.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
But yeah, just trying to move the camera to get
a better angle on it. But it's uh more challenging
than I thought. I've never seen so many cables coming
out of the walls.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
It's kind of fun.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
No, it's not because you're not doing it. Tom's just
doing it.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
I was helping him at first, but then we started
the show and I was like, oh.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Sorry, dou Yeah, she's like by she knew at six
o'clock that was gonna happen. All right, Well it's a
big day. I ordered some tank tops on Amazon.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Oh share the don't worn tank tops in years, but
I feel like this heat I need to.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
On the weekends, I am going in the wild and
tank top. I don't know if it's going to work
or not.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
In tank tops at Reuly gonna work. Your arms are
your best asset.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
No they're not. My ankles are.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Your ankles? Said no one.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
I've been told.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
I've been told my ankles are good, great, not better
than your arms. Your arms are like muscular.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Do you have they have to be tanned though. You
can't have like the farmer's tan where it's no. No, I'm
not gonna cut off. I'm gonna work on it. But
I'm very excited to go out in a tank top
this weekend.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, I can't wait to see it post a pic.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
I got my terry cloth shorts, you know, the towel material. Yeah,
so I'm gonna do a tank top tucket into my
terry cloths.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Oh wow, my high socks and my sneakers.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, I feel like I dressed maxim in that yesterday.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
It's gonna you'll you recognize me in a second because
the lows are you know, a hundred like that's the low.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
So I need to go out in not a lot
of clothing.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah, it's hot.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
I mean it's gonna be ridiculous. If you go Inland,
it's gonna be low of one hundred and one low.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
It's fine.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
This is summer, when it's all cold and muggy, we're
gonna be wishing for this heat.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah. True facts you.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Might feel a little cooler that, but you know what
I'm trying to say, one hundred don't like it hot
this weekend?
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Low eighties, mid nineties one hundred.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
So you see Dodgers pitcher Clinton Kershaw donated twenty five
hundred backpacks to students in need.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
I love that generous.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Let's get into the horoscopes this morning. How is your
fighting in a shave up? Starting with aries?
Speaker 5 (04:17):
All right, Aries, what seems like a small favor could
be a really big time suck.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Taurus, it's time to set clear boundaries at work.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
Gemini, stop playing games and be honest with your intentions.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Back to Aries.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
What seems like a small favor could be a really
big time suck. I asked tubs for the favor.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
He's still coming.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
It's coming to fruition. Oh, the camera have so many
exposed wires? Now all thats exposed wires?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
All right? Cancer cancer.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
The grass isn't always greener on the other side, Leo.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Music will be your happy place today.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
Virgo, it's a breakfast for dinner type of night for you.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Libra.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Treat yourself today. You've earned it. Make sure to prioritize
your sleep. Get to bed early, Sagittarius. Birds flock together
their strength in numbers.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Capricorn, have a clear vision of what you want and
go for it.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Aquarius, don't let the fear of rejection stop you.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
And Pisces, where's something different than your usual colors today?
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Okay, see if that works out for you. Let's see,
I was just reading this morning. A lot of great
farmers markets this weekend. I do get excited about that, Tony.
That's one of our favorite sports.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I you know, I'm actually on like a hunt for
new farmers' markets.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Well this weekend, East La certified Farmer's Market, Downtown Santa
Monica Farmer's Market. That's a big one. West Covina Farmer's Market.
Studio City's got their farmer's market that's not far from you.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Do you go to that one?
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Syney?
Speaker 1 (05:43):
It's been a minute. I need to go. I need
to like make that my Sunday. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
The almonds at the farmers market are truly unparalleled.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Plus the berry line. I always stand in the berry line. Yea,
you know there's some there's one berry stand that has
no line.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
No one has a line. How as you go with
the one in the line?
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yeah, right, the best one. Thet's ecology is interesting there.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
I know, because I feel like, well they must.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Know, is that been a restaurant's not full You're like,
is this place good? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Sisney, what do we miss while we were sleep?
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Well? Christmas is coming early this year at the Haunted Mansion.
Disneyland officials announced yesterday that the Haunted Mansion will reopen
next week with its Nightmare Before Christmas overlay, several weeks
earlier than usual.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
A new study confirmed that California is.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
The worst when it comes to road rage, coming in
at number one for having the most confrontational drivers. And
Dodger pitcher Clayton Kershaw took the mound for the first
time this season after having shoulder surgery last November. The
Dodgers beat the Giants six to four. And that's what
happened overnight.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
So I left something in an Uber You ever tried
to go into the uber app and talk to the
bot to get to the driver to call it the
driver but the driver doesn't answer.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Then, yeah, I've left my cell phone in there before
all the time, I left my backpack and my book
in there.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
A lot of things.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
No, what my backpack, My books were two books in
my back back backpack there.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
That book, the book that you left for me yesterday.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
You leave that book?
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Oh you leave that thing?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
No, I was coming back from the airport and I
thought I had all my bags and I realized I
left a backpack in the uber. Well, you ever tried
to go through all the different prompts to get to
the car to get the driver. So they actually prompt
you into a bot. It says, do you want me
to call the driver? And you have to give the
driver your permission to your number, and then all of
a sudden they patch you through. So I was like,
this is remarkable technology. The driver is going to be
(07:32):
driving an answer, couldn't get the driver, driver does an answer.
So I have not found my backpack yet, but I
tried to leave a message, like a text message and
my phone number, which I did, but I haven't heard
back yet.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Let me tell you something.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
I lost my favorite black Blazer in twenty twenty two
and it's been gone ever since.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
But did they didn't have this tech? I don't know
if they had the same technology in twenty twenty two.
Now you can get to the driver, but it's really tricky. Yeah,
I don't know if I'm going to see that backpack.
I love that backpack me too.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
It is my favorite black blazer my whole life.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Yeah, funny thing is about the backpack. I don't know
what's in it, Like you know, one hundred pockets. There
could be other things in there, your treasure trove of things.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
It could be love letters in there.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Yeah, could be love letters.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
You need to get that back.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
So I'm telling you, I'm trying to do that through
the overapp.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
HM.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
So Tony's speaking of all these apps. You just downloaded
the or ring app so you can get your data
while you're sleeping or not sleeping.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
You best believe it, baby, I did this a few
years ago. Yeah, it's my new hyperfixation is the data
on my or ring. And I noticed what I what
it made me realize is that I'm not getting enough
REM sleep. And now I'm like in a panic that
I'm not getting enough ramsleep. And so that's my new
hyperfixation is like how do I fix my REM sleep?
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Well, this is the problem with the or ring because
I love it and it is a lot of data.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
But this is what you do.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
You start thinking about and they start competing with yourself.
They start wondering why you can't get to your REM.
Then you realize how little REM you actually regularly have
on a regular basis.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
No no, it's rocked me.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
And I'm like, okay, so you have to exercise regularly,
limit your caffeine and alcohol, go to bed at the
same time every night.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
I'm like, if it's all obvious stuff that you don't
want to do, Yeah, true, So how long will it last?
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Have you done this yet?
Speaker 2 (09:14):
I have not, But I was just going to ask
the same question, like what's the over under of her
actually like doing this?
Speaker 4 (09:19):
Do you like the service of it? It is great?
I just couldn't do it longer than a couple of months.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
So the thing is why I really got it is
because I'm trying to. I heard it's really good with
like tracking your cycle and like when you're fertile, when
you're ovulating, all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
I self use that function.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Yeah, I don't think that you would.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
Only but like it helps keep your temperature and stuff
like that. So that's kind of the reason why I
got it.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
But you're going to get into the rabbit hole every.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
I feel like it adds more stress than it does relaxation.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
It depends what kind of brain you have, Like if
you're a person that can deal with that. A lot
of people can handle the information fine, and well, I
can't give. The more information I know, the more anxiety
I have.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Right, I'm a hyperfixation type of person, So like when
I see some like that, I'm like, I will not
rest until I exhaust every option.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
So I don't know if it will improve your sleep
or not. It may not. At least you'll know you're
not having good sleep.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Yeah, good luck.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Thanks for bringing that in today.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Okay, Susney, with a trick that's going to make it
easier to trim your dog's nails.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
I have never trimmed my dog's nails. It's all news
to me.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Tell me what I'm supposed to do or know about
trimming George's nails.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Okay, So I have to trim Diego's nails more often
than not. And this is something that I didn't really
realize because I have before him. I mean, I have
little dogs that just either they would get trimmed when
they went to the groomer, no big deal.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
But with Diego, like he's still puppy, he's still.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Jumping up on people and it hurts because his nails
are too long.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
You got to trim your dog's nails. I do.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
So I got a nail trimmer that's like a special
one that makes it so that I won't go too far,
you know, like we're the.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Nervous donail.
Speaker 8 (10:51):
Though.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Yes, yeah, And.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
So if he's like hyper and awake, obviously not gonna happen.
The only time I've done it before is when he's
like really a sleep like like so like tired and sleepy.
That I just do while you sleeping, basically, but if not,
I saw a video and you basically what you do
is you soran wrap your head and it sounds a
little crazy, your head, your head, like it's so dangerous
you and the dog owner.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
This works.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
I've tried to saran wrap your head like not your face,
not your face, your forehead, your forehead like this, and
then as it basically just protects it so you don't
get dirty. And then you put a bunch of peanut
butter all over your forehead and so then the dog
licks your head while you're clipping the nails and lets.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
You Oh, that's a fun trick. By the way, if
you do that in front of me, I would lock
your forehead too. That sounds cool.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
I do this with Sunny when I give her a
bath because she's horrible on the rack.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
This is I've never seen this, so I I.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
Just put the peanut butter just raw on my forehead.
I put it like right here because that's how I
can get like her underneath side. And then I'll put
the peanut butter on like the side of the bathtub
if I'm just like trying to have her hoole still.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
But it literally works like a charm.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Yeah, well that's a great one, thank you. I can
visualize the whole thing and I can actually smell the
peanut butter.
Speaker 7 (12:04):
No.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Today's quote. It is Friday morning. I know, the six
o'clock hour on Friday morning. It's still the toughest part
of the morning. But you're going to get there. I
wake up and to try and forget about what you
got to get through today, because in just amount of
hours you will be there.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
You will be through it. You'll be into the end
of the week. Today's quote.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
You can love a person deeply and truly and still
decide doing so from a distance is best for your
mental and emotional health.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
This FM headlines with siciny.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Well, this is kind of crazy.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Arson attacks on France's rail network have taken place in
what authorities are calling a massive attack to destabilize the
railway system, just hours before the real real opening ceremony
is set to begin. More changes are coming to La
Metro after its board approved several new initiatives to improve
security across the system, including the expansion of the Tap
(12:59):
to Exit program to additional stations. Evacuation orders remain in
place for parts of Lake Elsinore as the Mazy fire
continues to burn in Riverside County.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
And the new.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Disney Plus Hulu and Max streaming bundle went on sale yesterday.
New and existing subscribers can purchase the three way bundle
for just seventeen dollars a month with ads and thirty
dollars a month without ads.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Are on air.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
With Ryan seacrests.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Let's play match game for five hundred dollars in summer cat.
I'm going to meet our two contestants. One of my
favorite moments is us playing this game. We learned so
much about each other. Get the panel ready, Paul and Corona.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
Good money? Paul, how are you, buddy? Good? Thank you
tell me about yourself? Paul.
Speaker 8 (13:44):
Okay, I am retired and I am going to the
gym right now.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Dude, hold on for a second. Tell us about retirement.
Speaker 8 (13:54):
Retirement is you find things to do on a daily
basis and actually have a part time job working. So
that's what I do on my part time retirement basis.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
And what will you do tomorrow?
Speaker 9 (14:07):
But what I do tomorrow depends what I win.
Speaker 7 (14:09):
But tomorrow I.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Like to the beach.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
Wow, this retirement sounds good.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
You're never gonna do it, Ryan.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
I might, Paul might talk me into it right now.
Please Paul hangout for one second. You're contest number on.
Let's meet Nicole.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Nichole down what.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
You'd like your day?
Speaker 4 (14:27):
I don't know Nichole, Hello, good morning, how are you hi?
Speaker 10 (14:31):
Ryan, could just speak to you.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Good to meet you. So tell us a little bit
about yourself, Nicole.
Speaker 7 (14:38):
I'm from Downy, a mom, a girl mom.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
I work for Child Friends as a gust spetcher and
I love to travel.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Yeah, pretty much sounds good.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Well, we're gonna play match game here and try and
get one of you five hundred bucks in a summer
cash card. Here's how it works. It's always a lot
of fun internally here. But we'll give you a phrase
with a blank in it. Our panel here is Sydney, Tanya, Ruby,
and Tubbs. Well, write down what they think should go
in the blank. Then we'll hear your answer and see
who you match with. Whoever gets the most matches wins.
I'll walk you through it. We'll start with Paul. Hang
(15:10):
on it for a second.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
Nicole. Paul, you're contestant number one. Paul.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Yours is blank field, blank field? Okay, all right, Paul,
what'd you say baseball?
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Okay? Sis Andy, did you say baseball field?
Speaker 1 (15:29):
I sure did say baseball already. Look at that ding
ding ding ding ding. Okay, Tanya, I said strawberry field.
Speaker 11 (15:38):
Okay, Ruby, I said strawberry field too.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
I was thinking that too, But then I was trying
to think what.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Paul say didn't cross my mind?
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Ye guys, do you have many times you're supposed to
try and.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Think what Paul is gonna say. Paul's retired, he's looking
for a baseball field because he's got time. Tubbs, what'd
you say?
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Cornfield?
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (16:00):
All right, Paul, Well you did well. There you got
a match. So let's go to Nicole. See if you
can tie it up. Nicole, yours is blank juice, don't
say it out loud, just think about it blank juice,
blank juice. What panel is the cole going to say?
Not Ruby, not Tanya, but Nicole.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
It's like I repeat every time I give you the rules.
All Right, here we go, Nicole.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
What you say, I'm gonna say orange juice.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Orange juice, siciny, orange juice, apple juice, grape ruby, orange juice, jungle.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Juice tops, jungle juice tops, green juice.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Green juice.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Congratulations, Nicole, thank you so much for listening to us.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Congratulations Paul both all right.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah, Paul, he's already got everything. He's retired. He just
went more bucks, won the game.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
What do you want to do?
Speaker 4 (16:58):
All right?
Speaker 5 (16:58):
You know what I actually did put jungle juice, and
I changed it because I thought what it wouldn't call?
Speaker 4 (17:03):
What is jungle juice?
Speaker 7 (17:04):
It's like a drink that's when you're in college, the
concoction of anything you have on the shelf, So you
throw all the liquor with like a bunch of like whatever,
the same unch punch.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
Yeah, okay, well we had hunch punch.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
It wasn't blank punch, so you couldn't say hunch punch exactly.
It's opening day today, so it's California's first bar dedicated
to celebrating women's sports. Opening in Long Beach today just
an everything Olympics and you were talking to us about
was of Jackson Emmy a place called watch Me Sports Bar.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
In Long Beach.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
And you look at the success of Caitlin Clark and
the WNBA, and the boom of women's soccer clubs like
Angel City, growing fan base of the Sparks. So Jackson
Emmy decided to launch watch Me this sports bar in
Long Beach, and the bar is going to focus exclusively,
almost exclusively on showing women's sports.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
I think they took over the former play on More space,
which is in the Marketplace Long Beach shopping center. Yes,
they say all ages are welcome. And let's meet the owners,
the founders, the proprietors, Jacks and Emmy. It is opening day. Congratulations,
how are you, hey, Ryan?
Speaker 9 (18:10):
We are of all the things you might expect for
a grand opening.
Speaker 8 (18:15):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
We're great money.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Well tell right, so Jacks or Emmy, you guys jump in.
Tell us a little bit about what led to this moment.
And I mean we think we have an idea. I
was just recapping all of the focus on women's sports.
But for you, what led to opening this unique place
and this amazing idea in Long.
Speaker 9 (18:32):
Beach, Well it really goes decades back, you know, thirty
years ago and I'm agent myself, so there's that. But
thirty years ago, sitting in a bar trying to watch
men's sports NFL and just feeling with my group of
friends that we weren't welcome there and we weren't accepted
in this space, and just as being true fans of
(18:53):
any sports, it just made me feel that we should have.
You know, someday I'm going to open my own sports bar.
And at that time, they weren't showing women's sports on TV.
That wasn't even a concept. So that'll show you how
far we've gotten. But I just sort of put that
dream kind of in the back of my mind and
found my way through various careers. And then Jenny Winn
(19:16):
opened the Sports Bra up in Portland in twenty twenty two,
and I glombed onto her because of her brilliance, and
you know, she created a one percent of women's sports bar.
Ours is predominantly women's sports because we love the NFL
and you know, Dodgers and the Angels and so forth.
(19:38):
So Anyway, she's sort of that process for me and
my thinking, and we just kind of looked at each
other and said, hey, we should go out and do
this on our own.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
It's called Watch Sports Bar.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
Yes, four o'clock is when everything kicks off for you.
Speaker 9 (19:55):
Ribbon cutting is at four o'clock, but at three o'clock
we are opening our host stand to take reservations for
up to four so people would will start to get
in the queue at that time, and then when the
ribbon cutting is all done, people will open our doors
and people come in in order of their reservations.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
So exciting.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
What's on the menu? What a little give me some
game day snacks? They're on the menu.
Speaker 6 (20:21):
Well, the menu is curated by our chef, Charlie Ray,
and she's amazing. She has a unique background in cooking
and so she we've taken bar sort of some bar
foods and and uh, you know, ramp them up a bit.
We're doing some stuff with them. We you know, we're
gonna have wings because you need to, but but they're
(20:42):
going to be you're gonna have choices around that. We're
going to have you know, vegan options and you know,
cauliflower bothless chicken and different sauces.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
What a fun place to get together in all ages.
Everybody is welcome. It's called watch Me Sports Bar and
Long Beach. They open up today. Go support them there
in town. Congratulations to both you. Jackson, Emmy, Second Street pch.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
In the LB.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Yeah, baby, whoa.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Have fun and good luck. Nice to meet you.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
You wait to check it out.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
I know that sounds awesome. Yes, I love a boneless wing.
You don't have to do all the work. Sunshine and
hot today. Highs in the eighties the low hundreds. Not
quite as hot this weekend high's in the low eighties,
low nineties Inland. But I will be wearing my tank
tops that apparently they say they're gonna delivered tonight this afternoon.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
I love Amazon for that, right. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
All kinds of things, all kinds of little things you
can get for it, and they weren't more expensive.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Got a three pack of tank Yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Sometimes you can get like the overnight. It's like it'll
be delivered at four am. You're like, wow, this is amazing. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
I actually think their trucks are pretty there's great trucks
with the blue.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
I saw a parade of them coming over the hill
the other day on Barham. Just wonder if anything was
in there that I ordered, as we probably all do.
All right, let's see, so tiny's a trending report here
on this Friday morning.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
Tunya Okay, So Haley Bieber, she said it wasn't hard
to keep baby Bieber under wraps. She did a big
interview with w magazine and it was basically all about
her pregnancy, and she said that she hit her pregnancy
for six months because her bump stayed small for a
long time. And then she said that she probably could
have hid the news until the end, so she basically
(22:28):
was just wearing really baggy I do feel like that
these rumors were out there when she was wearing all
this baggy stuff that she was pregnant. But yeah, she
basically the bump was so small that she could have
hit it for a very long time. But she also
didn't enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy
her pregnancy outwardly. She said, I felt like I was
hiding this big secret and it didn't feel good. And
I imagine when you find out that you're having a baby,
(22:50):
it's like all you want to do is scream it
from the rooftops, and it feels like this weird psychological
trip because you're so excited about it, but like you're
not so to say anything about it. But I also
feel like it would be super iconic if somebody were
to just hide their pregnancy the whole time and then
just have the baby there and be like, here's my baby.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Well, what would you do?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
I don't think I could do it.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
I don't even know how people wait that long to share,
because I feel like you're probably so excited, but.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
I just need you've been through this, yeah, in the
good and the most difficult of these situations.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
So what do you think the obvious reasons why you
don't share before.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Twelve weeks or obvious?
Speaker 2 (23:32):
But you know, I think when it comes to the
early that first trimester, we shared everything with our family,
like the minute we found out we were pregnant. They
basically all knew within that week or a couple of weeks,
just because you want that support if it's you know,
not going to go in a pleasant way. And but afterwards,
like sharing it with you guys and stuff. I could
barely hide my twin pregnancy, like I was popping out,
(23:54):
like way sooner than when with with pregnant with Savella,
because there was two in there, and so I was
ready to tell you guys the minute I could.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
I mean, look, Tanya, if you're so blessed to have
this happen in your life, I can't wait because you
have a difficult time keeping secrets. You're like, guess when
I gave up coffee?
Speaker 1 (24:13):
I can't.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
Coming and don't blink. I know something's going on.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
I'm like, I had morning sickness. So it's just like
having to deal with that. It's like some people might
just find out.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Can we also talk about how beautiful baby Beeber's going
to be? I know, we do like to celebrate great
success stories around something California in the different communities. This
one's out of Chino. Ava Garcia is her name in Chino.
So previously Ava was a stay at home mom, and
I guess eight years ago was on the verge of
(24:46):
losing her home. Now, think about this, when you've been
in a really difficult situation financially, how do you react
and how do you pivot out of it? This is
the story of her doing it. She's felt like everything
was falling apart. Okay, she fell into like this state
of depression basically is what she was saying. And her
husband's business was also failing. So it struck her that
she could either watch it or crumble, Like you can
(25:08):
take one of these two paths, watch it fall apart
or take action.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
She took action.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
She took over the family business and completely revamped. Then
get this Economicos which is the name of their business,
which is basically a catering company in Chino, and Eva
with an inspiring story online right now, if a good
morning and thanks for coming.
Speaker 8 (25:24):
On, Good morning, Ryan, how are you?
Speaker 4 (25:27):
I am curious. I'm curious.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
I want to know when you get into that sink
or swim moment that you had where because we, you know,
with whatever adversity we face in life, and we get
down on ourselves. And in a situation, you can either
wallow or you can step outside and say I'm gonna
boss this up right. And you did that, you took charge.
But tell me about that moment. Had taken charge?
Speaker 8 (25:52):
Oh that was hard, and I like to say, I
door et my way out of it. I came in
and I help reb the business, you know, the catering service,
the menu, the presentation, and yeah, that's pretty much what
I did.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
And what did you do?
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Like, how did how did your changes make the business?
Then all of a sudden start singing.
Speaker 8 (26:14):
I did a lot of networking, a lot of pop ups.
I went out there. I really got out of my
comfort zone, coming out of a depression that I was in,
and I just started basically knocking doors talking to people,
making those connections. And like I said, you know, revamping
it really putting the love into what we like doing.
That's bottom line. We love what we do and I
(26:37):
think it shows with every event that we do, with
every decor, with every detail, and I think it shows
our customers. We have great reviews and our customers just
let what we do.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
It's a family catering business, catering all types of stuff
in the IEO c LA weddings, you do corporate events, cancinatas,
you do birthdays, and the special focus is Mexican cuisinium.
Speaker 8 (26:57):
Yes. And when I came and revamped it, I did
Chicka Marsala pastas and it's it's it's been great. You know,
Christmas really like the different meals.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Hey, I just to because I know a lot of
people get into the states of depression what was it
like for you.
Speaker 8 (27:17):
Oh gosh, well, my depression was really bad. I didn't
know exactly that I was a depression. I thought I
was having well, actually I was having a kidney favor.
So I didn't know until I went to the doctors
and they're like, whoa, we got to get you started
in chemo. Like wait a minute, but you know I
don't have cancer. Yeah, but that's how severe your kidney
(27:39):
situation is. Right now. Like, I was in a really,
really bad shape. It was really hard for me to
get out of the house. I mean, nobody knew what
I was going through, only the four walls in my house,
my kids, and my husband. And when everything just started happening,
I said, I cannot continue doing this. I was in pain,
my legs were hurting, and I said, nope, I really
(27:59):
got to get out of this. I you know, I can't.
I can't sit here and you know, have this let
this happen. I can't. And you know, it's not easy
when you're in business with your spouse. I am going
to say that it's not easy, but you know we're
still here. And I told him, just trust me, you
do what you do, because you know he's mainly the
one that cooks all the meals. And I told him,
you do what you do and let me see what
(28:19):
I can do. And so far, so good.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
I mean, we have been blessed and your health is better.
Speaker 8 (28:25):
It is better. It's it's been eight years in the process.
But now I know you know how to listen to
my body. You have to listen to your body. I yeah,
I just went through cancers in November and you know,
just getting those Oh it's going to be almost a
year since everything started, and you know, just getting those
scans and you know, I just had to scan on Monday,
(28:46):
waiting for that result. But you know it's you know,
it's God's will and you know, I'm just I'm just pushing.
I'm just doing what I love to do. I love
to decorate. I love to talk to people, and I
love to see, you know, people's events come to life
and we're a small part of it and we just
we love what we do.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
Well, keep up that great spirit and that great attitude.
Our prayers are with you for the results that are
coming after that last scan, and God bless you. Thank
you very much for coming on with us. What a
great story ever Garcia and get this economics in Chino.
You take care, okay, so.
Speaker 8 (29:17):
Much, thank you, have a great day.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Bye, congratulations, bye, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Somebody's always going through something, huh yeah, true. All right,
we'll thinking about her for that. All right.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
Where's the Olympic theme music? Let's hit it.
Speaker 11 (29:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
The Olympics are nostalgia for us. We've spent a lot
of time at the Olympics.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Yeah, I means duties, right, duties very connected to the
Olympics because of you, Ryan, because I've been.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Able to be at the last two. Aside from Tokyo obviously.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
I had the incredible honor of hosting you know, shows
for NBC at the Olympics and in London during the
closing ceremonies without Michaels ceremony without Michael's where you're talking
about the stuff that's happening, Yeah, and ping ponging with him.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
Who's a legend? Who I heard Mark is al Michael's Like?
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Are they doing AI out Michaels for some of the
daily summaries of just hear like they're using his voice,
but it's a I of the day's summary of what
happened at the game, No way, Yeah, which is interesting
because al Michaels is still among us and sounds great
best friends.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
It's a lot of work. Yeah, sure, I'll tell you why.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
It's a lot of work to do those daily summaries
from the Olympics every single day.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
I can ask Taja.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
So this could be the beginning of us seeing more
of that.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
I'm happy for it. That's keep it going.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
Are they aiing us?
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Not yet, You've got to work that out in your contract.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
All right, Happy Opening Ceremony day. Everything we need to
know about the performers, Yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
The athletes have been arrive I mean obviously earlier this week,
and the cardboard beds. If you all are wondering, yes,
they're very much back, as we've all seen on Instagram
and TikTok, with many people doing videos and testing them out,
guys jumping on them and making sure that they won't break,
and they won't well apparently they're really stiff. But today's
the day opening ceremony in Paris. It's taking place so
(31:05):
actually it's the first time ever that it's not taking
place in a stadium. Each of the country's teams instead
are going to be parading on boats along river Senn
supposedly it's clean.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
Now I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
You're still on the fence.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
So I saw the mayor and a reporter swimming out
the other day for the news.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
I still wouldn't do it.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Yeah, I don't think spectators want to get splashed, but
I guess it is what it is. Also on the river,
there's gonna be a cast of thirty five one hundred performers,
including actors, dancers, and musicians, and in the lead up
to the ceremony, some A list names have been reported.
Lady Gaga Celine Dion. As you were saying, we're saying,
I was reading.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
I don't know if it's true, but I was reading
she's gatting two million dollars for a song. It's ten
thousand dollars per second, if that's.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
True, getting paid per second, Like that's like, well, other're
worldly the big sum that she's getting.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Then someone took it upon themselves to break it down.
But the fact that that's what it breaks down. Two
is it's incredible bananas.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Good for her, yes, command that good for Celindia.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
As she should, especially with everything that she's been through
this last year that we all, you know, got some
details on.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
So legend, she's history of music. And now how do we
watch the Olympics?
Speaker 4 (32:14):
Is Cpeacock?
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Yes, so in the US always the opening ceremony and
the rest of the games will be broadcast on NBC
and Peacock and the ceremony starts actually in a few
hours in live, live, real time ten thirty a m
our Time. But NBC's coverage, of course, is going to
begin a little bit sooner and then everything's going to
be like recapped for US nightly. So because of the
time difference, So seven thirty tonight, if you can't, you know,
(32:37):
you're working right now, you can't watch the opening ceremonies.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Yeah, I remember working those hours because we were be
in London a rio and we have to come in
and do uh well, no, I mean the NBC show
I was hosting on TV.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
We'd do it at like midnight, I know, good morning.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I'm just like so invested.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
We watch the entire time and I'm I'm actually happy
that is in maximard an age now where they can
appreciate the Olympics now they're six years old. I told
her about some own biles and like all that stuff.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
It's just really did you tell them. Snoop DOGG was
a torch bearer. I you know what I should Snoop
was a torch bearer.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Represent the LBC our Snoop dog All right.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Well go team USA. All right, let's take.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Julia, who's on the line. You know you can get
through it. Eight hundred and five to two oh one
on two seven if you want. If it's your first
time in Los Angeles, welcome to our town.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
Enjoy your visit.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
If you are on your way out to Lax save travels.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
We'll miss you. But you can take us with you
on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Yeah, take us with you.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
And if you're on your way to work this morning,
thanks for plugging in to get there. Julia, what are
you doing this morning? Hi?
Speaker 10 (33:41):
Not much, that's the day off.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Oh nice, It's gonna be hot, so make sure you hydrate. Tanya,
all right now, your boyfriend's co worker is still hitting
on him, is what it says on my call screen.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Do explain.
Speaker 10 (33:56):
Yeah, Like a couple months ago we talked and you
guys gave me great advice to like talk to him
and tell him to shut it down, and we did.
We had a really good condo and he does that
so now and I've like seen it. So every time
she goes to like touch him, he like, ba's the way,
and he doesn't call her his work wife and that
sort of thing. And he didn't explicitly say like, hey, stop,
you're making me uncomfy, but he has like really cold
(34:18):
body language towards her. But my issue is is like
she hasn't stopped. I kind of want to say something,
but I don't know how to go about it, and like,
so how do I confront her without seeming like in
like some insecure, controlling girlfriend?
Speaker 4 (34:36):
Can you? Okay?
Speaker 3 (34:37):
So, just so we're clear, your boyfriend goes to work
and one of the people at work hits on your boyfriend, Yes, well,
what's wrong with getting in the middle of that and
stopping it?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Well, it's already tried and it's work more of a
reason why.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
But hasn't your boyfriend tried to shut it down?
Speaker 10 (34:59):
He has, yeah, and he's really good with it. And
like the thing is too, I see it because they're coworkers,
but they're part of the same friend group, so like
I'll be there and they're hanging out and other people too.
It's like I see him try and shut it down.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
It's just see to me, this is like I'm taking
if I'm Julia. Now I take this personally.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Now you know, my boyfriend is at work and the
coworker knows about me, And now the co worker's not
bothered by me, is not influenced by me, doesn't care
about me, and still want to see it on my guy.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Yeah, now I gotta you know, what what are you
gonna What are you gonna do?
Speaker 4 (35:35):
I mean, it's disrespectful to Julia.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Like basically this other woman at the work is saying, yeah,
I know he's with you. I don't care, you don't
scare me. Well here I come.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I know, but this is your work. She can't just
like go stomping.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Her heaving Julia, what if you befriend her and become
besties with her?
Speaker 8 (35:54):
You know?
Speaker 1 (35:54):
No, the term like keep your enemies closer, it's not believable. Yeah,
who's gonna do that?
Speaker 4 (35:59):
And then you can wait going to poison her milk?
Speaker 1 (36:01):
No, I mean friends with her?
Speaker 2 (36:04):
And then she realizes that how happy you guys are,
and she backs off.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
That I'd rather be feisty kissed.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Yeah, and also you say that, but like if you
actually thought about it, you could never do that.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Kill him with kindness, is what I say.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Sysany Okay, well we're all over the place on this,
but Julia, I I think you gotta get into it
a little bit. Tanya and sicenty have different opinions. Sydney
would like for you to invite her to your girl's
vacation weekend.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
I think that far, But then I say, stay out
of it.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Just like I just like that.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Your boyfriend he's being cool, right, he's not like, yeah,
he's not doing anything wrong, right.
Speaker 10 (36:45):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, he's great. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:48):
Ah, colleagues, thanks so much.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
What is that supposed to mean?
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Coworkers?
Speaker 1 (36:56):
I don't consider us co workers.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
I take it personally.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
We're like, we're like past coworkers.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
I take it personally.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
If somebody were doing that, it's like they are not
not concerned about me at all.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
That's disrespect that upsets me.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
She could be oblivious, like she could not even realize
that she was flirting with him.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Could just be her personality.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Well still not Oica sunning hots high's eighties nineties hundreds.
Not quite as hot this weekend, but still very hot.
It's a tank top Friday.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
The weekend watch list, just.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
So what is on your weekend watch list? I'm anxious
to hear Sisney, what's on yours? If you want to
stay in wow, watch something on streaming?
Speaker 4 (37:37):
What do you?
Speaker 2 (37:37):
If I'm being completely honest, the past week has can
Love Island completely consumed. I got on board because I
got on board, and I binged all thirty five episodes
basically in a week to catch up.
Speaker 5 (37:51):
A talking about that's the energy I need, give it
to me.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Before that, I watched Beverly Hills cop axl F on
Netflix and completely loved it. I loved the original that
obviously from like forty something years ago, so I thought
it was like really cool to see all the action
scenes here in like La Beverly Hills all that.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
I just love when movies are made in our city.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
Have you everard, like recently driven down when I was
coming into the station. I drove down Sunset Boulevard to
get to the station, and there are six billboards of
Beverly Hills cop acxule F in a row for Netflix,
right like across the street from each other, next to
each other. You know they buy like so many billboards
in a row.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Yeah, I mean it.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Were that's I ended up watching it because it kept
popping up on my Netflix, and so I was like, Okay,
I'll get.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Into this movie.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
It is a classic and it's under two hours of
a commitment, so there you have.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
I know, but I did miss his laugh.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
He doesn't do his laugh in this movie because I
went back and I watched the original because I was
so into it, and he has a laugh all over
the first movie.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
And I think he said because people were like it
was becoming since a signature thing, yes for him, that
it was annoying.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
I want it, all right, let's go tany watch we
can watch.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
This all right.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
Mine is Simone Biles Rising. It's on Netflix. It's actually
a really quick binge. I found it to be very
quick and easy. But it basically goes through when she
withdrew from the twenty twenty Tokyo Olympics and kind of
now her process going through to make her big triumphant comeback.
And it's just so fascinating to me to be in
(39:23):
the head of somebody who is that like she's the goat,
and to have that much pressure on you. It made
me like realize, I want to like be better, I
want to try harder, do you know?
Speaker 1 (39:35):
What I mean, m M.
Speaker 5 (39:36):
It's like, yeah, like I want to treat my life
like I'm an athlete. Like they have a different mentality
than I think I have, and I want to just
it makes me want.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
To take that discipline and drive. And I love fantastic Ruby.
What's onny wee can watch this?
Speaker 11 (39:49):
Mine is called The Perfect Wife on Hulu. It is
so scandalous. It's about this couple, Keith and Sherry Peppini
up north in North Cala and the wife ends up
going missing, so it triggers this like nationwide search, but
then she just happens to reappear and yeah, it's it's
really crazy. It's it's so so good. But yeah, three
(40:10):
episodes on Hulu. Now her story is just.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Like so wild.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Is it a true story? It's based on a true story. Yeah,
it's giving gone girl.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
I wonder always how much of based on a true
story is the based Like is it ten percent or
ninety percent? Right?
Speaker 4 (40:27):
You never really know, do you know?
Speaker 1 (40:28):
I Mean it's not a weekend.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
Watch this thing.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
But I've been watching the last episodes of Pat Taychack
Coasting Wheel of Fortune because it's like such a legendary
thing and so much a part of my life and
growing up. And it's just amazing at it that I've
recorded some of those that I missed her in the
week to watch over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
I love that. It's almost go time for you, baby.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
We go time in September. We're on the end September exciting.
Every weeknight. Every week night you can tune in.
