Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood. See you, thank you for listening to us
with Ryan Seacrest. Ryan Seacrest Scony Tanya here to do
it once again. And yeah, it's gonna be hot. You
know this is coming. But you got highs in the nineties.
It's gonna break one ten in some cities Inland. I
(00:23):
guess it's gonna be like this through the holiday weekend
in the official unofficial end of the summer season. Right,
it's time for our autumn meal quarterly family dinner or
autumn meal. Is that what we're calling it? To roll
off the tongue, Our automn meal doesn't quite the staff
(00:46):
automn meal and staff fall feast at Martha Stewart's thing,
and that's in Vegas. That's next month, in a day,
that's gonna be fall feast. Well, what so, all right?
We like to get together with our essos and socialize
(01:07):
every once in a while. And nobody calls him. I
like that he calls them. That says, yeah significant others. Yeah,
what do you call him to educate me? This lips
not this mountain chokes are just like not hitting me me.
I don't have dad, Joe, you had a few already
(01:30):
we have got started this morning. When we started, you
said something else we were off, Mike. Was it something
to John when he gave you the wipes he had,
like the Clorox wives And she was cleaning here and
then she's like, hey, are these your wipes? And it
says his name on them, the name. Even the dad's listening, cringing. Anyway,
(01:56):
we're gonna have our staff September lunch. We can't have
a dinner. It's gonna be lunch right at the Irady
Music Fest Martha Stewart's restaurant out there. Didn't she tell
us it's opening. We should go. We're gonna go. We're
gonna go older, We're coming. You can't flake on Martha's day. No, no, no, okay,
So that's our fall feast. So cute. I'd rather not
be a lunch because we're gonna work after. It might
(02:19):
be solo TBD on Michael coming. Yeah, I don't know,
let's canceled, all right, okay, yeah, let's just hold off.
It doesn't rush it. I'm just it's only August thirty one, guy,
that would be so it's so cute. It's okay, So
first day of school for a long Beach Unified. Do
(02:40):
you know that the fourth largest district in California also
Huntington Beach Union High School District. First day of school,
so welcome back, coming up this morning. I'm kind of
a sucker for this. If you're a foodie on TikTok
and I see you, kind of want to talk to you,
(03:01):
especially when you're going around southern California. Like this girl
is going around southern California reviewing the best bean and
cheese burritos that is, and she has a detailed Google
doc on dozens of different restaurants. That's the job. I
am for it. I'm wait for it, wait until whatever
(03:21):
year it happens where I'm one of those people. I'm
rolling around in a convertible going from spots spot tasting
something something with nuance and then tick talking about but
do you eat the whole meal? You just taste it? No,
I taste. I want to keep my my figure. Yeah,
I think I know where the best being cheese burrito is.
(03:42):
By the way, we'll save it. That's coming up. Where
do you think it is? Save? It's coming up in
Orange County, Orange County area. Yeah, we'll save it. I'm
gonna bring Pam, PAMs on the phone right in the riverside. So, Pam,
I would say, she's become a regular caller into the
morning show. I love this. It's like an ongoing novella,
(04:02):
walk me through. We talked to her at the beginning
of the year February or so. She called us because
a guy that she worked with asked her out. But
she said he was so young, way too young, wait
too for her. So we said, great, go for it.
That was our lives we all know. We were like, well,
I wanted to know, like what was the age difference,
(04:23):
and she was like, he's thirty three, and she says
that she is old enough to be his mom, right,
So we said go for it. I mean easy, thanks
for calling. M'm not quite but we initially did, she did,
We did, and she did. So they went out, and um,
I don't know whatever happened happened, but now we need
(04:43):
to find out where they are. So let's set So, Hey, Pam,
thanks for calling back. So great to get the next
episode here of your life. Hey guys, hey there, so
I just bringing everybody back up the speed. The guy
work young, you went out? Can I say what you
told us? You guys slept together, right, um, yes, and
(05:06):
you wanted to say you loved him, right, Oh, yeah
I did, but then you freaked out thinking that you
were going to say that, and then you didn't say
that right exactly. Okay, So now we're months later, are
you still seeing the guy? No? Remember I got cold
(05:28):
feed and I ghosted him like you ended it. Yeah,
I ended it. Yeah, you had these feelings and you
freaked out yourself and just said I gotta call it.
Why because did he end up moving out of town? No? No, no, no, no, no, no,
he lives far away. First of all, Yeah, I just
I deleted everything. I couldn't contact him. I got I
(05:50):
had nothing, I had no last naute, I had nothing
on him. So he was he was basically gone out
of my life. So you met this whatever work went
out with the guys, stop put the guy told him
that you loved him, but you didn't know his last name. No,
I had nothing, I had nothing, So where are with him? Okay?
(06:12):
So I mean last time I talked to you guys,
you guys are like, no, go back signed him? And yeah,
So long story short, I was, you know, I was
going to my car the universe wants this. So I
was going to my car. I had a friend, you know,
she was. She was in the parking lot and she's
(06:33):
asking me questions about him. She had done him maternity leave,
and I was like, I gos to him. I couldn't
do it. It was too much for me. She's like,
you don't remember, but you gave me his phone number,
and yeah, because I had text him because I was like,
he says, there's something weird about him. Text him and
see what he says to you. She's like, yeah, I
(06:54):
kept this number. I put him in your phone in
my phone as Pam's friend, and so she gave me
a number. Was like, oh my god, Oh my god.
So I sat on the number for a little bit
and I'm like, okay, let me text him. I text
him and the only thing I had was I miss you.
That's all I could say. I mean, what do you
say after you go somebody? But you thought about a
lot of things you were going to say, but you
(07:14):
ended up with that, and I ended up with missed you,
because that's you know, from the heart, is true, And
like second I'm telling you, like five seconds later, I
got I missed you too. Works out sometimes universe. So
he was desperate waiting for you. So wait, wait, wait,
(07:36):
wait wait, So he sends out back you send back what? Um?
I said, when can I see you? And he said,
what do you want to see? You said when he
wanted to see me? Said right now? I said, come
through and he did and he did and wow wait
(08:00):
wait wait wait, no one say that I do jokes. Wait.
So he came over and where so are you guys
back together? Um, it's still logistics. He lives far. I
was far. I have two jobs. It's just a lot
of crazy that we have met up. We have been amazing. Um.
(08:26):
Every time, every time you call and we talk about
this guy, the happiness exudes through the phone line. Could
we just figure it out? I mean you you have this.
Remember this is the giddiness we hear every time. So
how can I help? What can I for you? This
(08:47):
is perfect? Um, you guys helped a lot. I mean
you guys were in my head the whole time in
the universe and listened to you guys and did this
for me. And what is order? The odds that she
would be right there and odds are imagine this guy's
waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting. The second you
(09:09):
send a message, he's back and he's over. He's coming over.
All right, I hear nothing but goodness out of this,
So keep us really posted to the story. Okay, I will,
I will definitely will think by Yeah, you're on the
other end, waiting and waiting and waiting and finally and
(09:30):
then you come right over. It's great. I think it's
really cute. And she's so excited. You could hear it
in her voice. He's gleaning Tony, you agree, I h no.
I'm just curious as to why her gut is to
push him away. Do you know what I mean? Like,
does that come from history of her own or is
(09:51):
it something that she feels from him? It was the
young it was the age, but the practical her is like,
this shouldn't but she doesn't want to be practice. It's
the age difference. At the distance, it's like it all
just doesn't make sense in theory. But the attraction. She
didn't know his last name. She want to say, I
love you. This is a movie and I like it.
I'm watching. I'm invested. Here's your morning and a hopefully
(10:14):
positive motivated quote of the day, something to set the tone.
So when I leave the studio each day, I really
forget most of what we've done on the show. It's
just like you do it every day and it doesn't
you don't retain it like it's it's so often that
I can't remember who we interviewed or what we talked
(10:34):
about by the end of the So I was probably
like that in the classroom for a lot of things too,
And it can be a problem in school. Well, there's
a scientist that's found doing this for an hour after
learning something helps you commit it to memory, and that
is chewing gum. That's not fair. They don't let you
(10:58):
chew gum at school. They might after this comes out,
gum is like awesome, Yeah, I know what I'm got.
Chew more gum. Yeah. It stops you from crying when
you cut onions. I like it. Creuse your appetite a
little bit too. Back to that, the researchers say that
chewing gum makes you breathe through your nose, which makes
(11:18):
your brain more efficient. It's an easy try. There should
be gum bowls in every classroom. I stopped chewing it
because I don't know, it just felt like whatever's dripping
down and from gas might have for us. You don't
(11:39):
have to judge us. I genuinely curious, zylatal. You know
you got a little gus the beginning of these end
uh kiss. Here's your quote of the day. The figure
you are, the bigger you're icle will be, the more
(12:01):
real you are, the smaller your circle should be. On
air with Ryan secretsm headlines. President Biden will deliver a
primetime speech from Philadelphia tomorrow about protecting democracy, during which
he will warn that Americans rights and freedoms are under attack.
(12:21):
Fighting speech outside Independence National Historic Park will revive his
campaign theme of fighting for the soul of the nation.
Young children in California may soon be required to attend kindergarten.
The state Senate passed an education bill Monday that requires
all students to complete one year in kindergarten before going
into first grade. Existing California law doesn't require children to
(12:44):
attend school until they are six years old. And Uber
is giving writers the ability to connect with a safety
agent while taking a trip that's making them nervous. Now,
this is pretty interesting. The company said. The capability is
intended to help both writers and drivers in situation that
may warrant them calling the police or other emergency assistants. Instead,
(13:04):
they'll be connected to a live safety agent from a
d T the security services company, who can monitor their
route for the trips duration. On air with Ryan Secrets
Sunshine and dumb Heat, dumb heat in a little stupid yeah, unbearable.
Sherry's in witty or Sherry, good morning, how are you?
(13:27):
Good morning? Good good? I'd like to hear that. So
it's all I know is that they told me you
need some wedding advice. What's up? Yes? So okay, so
I'm getting married next year, right, and my mom and
my uncle are no longer on speaking terms. So I
was going to have his children in my wedding, so
the ring Bear and the flower Girl, and they recently
(13:49):
told me that because of the whole dilemma, they're gonna
pull their children out of my wedding. Yeah, so my
mom was really upset. And now I've kind of made
the worse. So now I've been giving the responsibility if
my uncle and my aunt should even come to the
wedding or not. So they're like, well, you think about
if you want to invite us or not. So now
(14:10):
I'm kind of like in the middle, and yes, they
gave me an ultimatum. So they're like, okay, so either
so you make this decision to invite us or not.
And then my mom's like, well they shouldn't come. Why
did they pull their children on? And I just kind
of feel bad and I just don't know kind of
your mom on that. Yeah, why did you tell your
mom about why they did it? Um? Well, I told
(14:32):
her what the truth like, they told me that because
they're not on speaking terms and they don't want to
like cause more problems or more stressed to me on
my special day that they pulled their children out. But
I was like, that's stressing me out even more. Now
it's gotten to a new level because they gave you
an ultimatum exactly. I think you need to sit down
with them, go out to lunch, talk it out and
(14:55):
be like this is crazy. You're you're a year out.
Things can change so much. They're whatever they're arguing about, Okay,
that's one option. Now what's the bad news? If the
kids don't come, and then she's not gonna have yeah,
and then they're not gonna have I mean either yeah,
either way, they're not going to be in it. They
already made up their mind and I already tried to
talk to them separately, and the moms there's like no
(15:17):
turning back. That like just can never get resolved and
things are just gonna say the way they are forever.
So but then another thing is there's going to be
alcohol at the wedding, right, so like what if people
start drinking and then there can be like an actual
physical fight. So now I'm like, man, I don't really
don't want to stress out, so I'd rather than maybe
not come, But then I feel bad, so I no, No,
(15:39):
Here's my view is this, They're really trying to create
issues for you on your special days supposed to be
about you and your happiness. And so I say it's
zero tolerance. Now the zero tolerance. They're out, the kids
are out, You're gonna focus on your day. They will
have no influence or impact on your anxiety or your
(16:00):
emotion or your happiness that day. Because you're making the
decision now, and it seems like the right decision. You
do not want to have this in your mind that
at some point something could happen on your wedding day
because someone is a beer. I mean, just not okay,
it's not exactly that's exactly what I was thinking. I
was like, I'm going to be stressed out the whole day.
I was already stressed out and I'm not even the
(16:21):
wedding day, and like, I don't want to think, oh
what if somebody says something one of those like a
weird look and then there's alcohol, Like, oh my goodness.
So I would deal with the difficulty now and any
of the feelings you're gonna have now by getting it done,
so that it's done and by the time you get there,
it's all on them. Like, look, obviously, if you feel
this way, then you're maybe you're right. Thank you for
(16:43):
making the decision, makes choice easy for me, exactly right.
They're the ones I pulled out basically trauma. This had
nothing nothing to do with you and the kids. Like
that was so lame tonight. But don't feel guilty. Just
make a decision and move on on this one and
(17:03):
happy wedding. Congratulations to you, share thanks for beautiful wedding. Okay,
it's like they're intentionally trying to ruin her day. Intentionally.
It's so petty necessary, it's I'm sure there's a quoted
a day I've read before about this, So don't be
so petty. Don't be so petty, don't get married, never
(17:28):
come out of this moth. Vanessa Four's black, Vanessa Four's
blad from Glendale. She is doing what I would be
doing if I were born twenty years ago, and we're
gonna bring her right now. She is um rating and
reviewing the best bean and cheese burritos in our area.
(17:50):
Grew up not far from here. You can see what
she's doing at burrito review on TikTok. Vanessa, good morning,
how are you? I'm awesome? How are you? Guys? Jealous? Jealous? Jealous? Jealous? No, no, no,
I'm doing the research for everyone so that they don't
have to try out every Beani cheese burrito. So I'm
(18:12):
just I'm doing the work for you guys. This is
what I would be doing if I were born twenty
years ago. So, Vanessa, where did you grow up? Um? So,
I moved around like the so called area, but I
grew up in has the Heights. But right now I
live in Glendale, Okay. And what is it that you're
trying to do? What are you trying to accomplish for everybody?
(18:34):
So I have a love for Beani cheese burritos, and
every single time I would go out and eat, I
would order a Beani cheese burrito and I would always
get like weird looks for my friends and family. So
I decided, you know what, I'm going to, um make
up this random quest and say that's what I'm doing
every time I order a Beani cheese burritos so I
don't get weird looks. And it became a trend and
(18:56):
people actually started following it and liking it. Apparent bean
and cheese burritos are um I under talked about amazing.
They do not get enough exposure. I agree, And there's
kind of a staple, right, uh, I think. So Google
doc on this stuff is forty five pages along mm hmm.
(19:17):
I'm a virgo. Yes, um, I'm a virgo. So we
we put in the work. Today's actually my birthday, so
I'm gonna go trying to fine. Yeah, thank you, thank you. Yeah,
I'm gonna go get a Bani cheese burrito for my research,
but also because this is all for the greater good,
right exactly? How do I want to know your top
(19:40):
three that you can give us? In Southern California place.
But how do you review? What do you look for
in a bean burrito? So? Um, I'm a Mexican and
I grew up with the Mexican grandmother and so she
would always make a bani cheese burritos. So when I'm
looking for a Bani cheese brito, I'm looking for like
the authenticity, like something that tastes like home. Because I
(20:04):
also I'm looking for price too, because I don't want
to spend ten dollars in the bean and cheese brito
because I could just make it at home if that's
the case. So I look for the beans tasting fresh, um,
the right amount of cheese to bean ratio. Yeah, like
good tasting salta that goes along with it. Um. So
there's like there's certain variables. I don't have a score,
(20:26):
but just how everything the staff, the ease of getting
to be cheese riot of the price, that's the basics.
Open minded to the way the bean or the kind
of being is prepared. Yes, most definitely. So I address
that in my video is like I go like, oh,
this is like a whole pinzo bean, or this is
like a refried bean with a lot of seasons. Honestly,
(20:49):
I've gone through this in my I like the texture
of a refried bean. I like the way I like
the way it merges with the melted cheese, But I
feel like I'd be healthier having to pin to bean
whole with the cheese and the salsa. Yeah, it depends.
It also depends on the day and the time and everything.
So I try to bring that in. I go like, oh,
(21:10):
this dorothea is like really good. It's very like it
holds up well to the yes, and it also holds
up well to the flavor of the beans and the cheese,
because sometimes the bean alone is like lacking in flavor,
but alongside the dorothea, the salsa and the cheeta tastes good.
So I bring in all those variables. But my top
like favorite places in the l A area, I'm a
(21:31):
huge fan of like casting atas, which you can find
in like the o c areas. I think they're all
over like um my Palm Springs too, and then the
Albert's places, like I don't know if you guys have
seen their, like all different names for some reason. I
think that's like a great bean and cheese burrito, Like
don't overlook it there, but um One of my favorite
places that I've tried in the La area is in
(21:54):
Pico Rivera and it's Taco Boy. Oh. I love that
place so much. It was so busy. I went on
a Sunday morning and I like waited like thirty minutes
for this beating cheese burrito. But it was it was
why specifically the Taco Boy in Pico Why was it
so great? I it was just the perfect cheese. I
(22:15):
believe they used monterey Jack, which is one of my
favorite cheeses os inside of burrito. Yeah, and then the
the Dorothea held up well, the beans were fresh. Uh,
it just it tasted like something my grandma would make.
Like I almost wanted to rush to the back of
the kitchen to make sure that they didn't like kidnap
my ninety two year old ground because that's how amazing
it was. I absolutely loved it. Yeah, and the place
(22:38):
was busy for good reason, Like everyone was there Sunday
after church, So I suggest don't go on Sunday after
church time because you'll have to wait a little bit.
But it was well worth it. See Vanessa, like she
gives you the detail, the critical detail. We have been
born twenty years ago. Maybe this is what we would
have are calling would have been this. We would have
(22:59):
been birds across the street from Taco Boy, running back
and forth exactly. Oh, there actually is the Albers across
the street from Taco Boy, and I had them back
to back on the same day because like when I
do bean and Cheese breeder reviews, I take advantage of
all the locations and their proximities to each other. So
(23:19):
sometimes I'm doing back to back and like, both of
those locations were really good. I was, I was, it
was an excellent day. How does the bean and cheese
burrito affect any relationships? Like, I'm just thinking if I
had bean and cheese brews all day, I would have
somebody nuts near. Um. Do you know what, I haven't
had any complaints that I'm also single, and um, I
(23:42):
go with my mom and my dad and my grandma,
so I think that they're they're used to it both
tolerance to you know, Conal law. Um, well, this is awesome.
It's so nice to meet you, and continued success with
this Vanessa. We'll be watching way. I have one question. Yes,
(24:03):
have you tried Elberrito Jr? And Seal Beach? Everyone tells
me to go, but I just never make it out there.
And everyone's like, gets a special Sea, correct, and it
comes with two clean and cheese burritos, and I drink
Is that the specialness of the special Sea or is
there something I'm missing? Like I haven't tried it yet,
but everyone needs you need to try it. It's the
(24:24):
best bean cheese brewedo ever had in my entire life.
It's like to fifty for two bean cheese burritos and
they give you a tortilla chips to dip in there,
and it's like the best thing that I've ever had.
But even she doesn't have a lot of beans correct,
So I'm interested to see what I'll definitely try it out.
I definitely will. It's all over my comments section. Thank
(24:50):
you nice, thank you, thank you so much for having
me Bye bye. That's really good about the Sunday Rush
and giving the detail and other tortilla holds to the
being ratio at burrito review on TikTok. Do you know
we're talking to Vanessa who posts about TikTok. I felt
(25:11):
like she was doing a live TikTok when she was
given us the reviews of the places she had all
the beats of the cheese and being burrito places nailed down.
And also she asked you the right question about the
special scene this comments Kalin, how are you Kalin in Pecima?
(25:31):
How are you doing? I'm doing that? Are you good?
So what can we do for you? So? I had
a birthday over the weekend and it wasn't like a
big deal. It was I wanted to keep it really
low key and just have sushi at my house with
my boyfriend. Right. So, um, I just turned out he
(25:54):
showed up two hours late because it works, and didn't
get me anything, oh flowers, cake, gifts, nothing, And I'm
just really upset about it. We've been together for a
really long time. I've been together for three years and
he used to go all out and you know, give
me the cake, the flowers, all these things, and I
(26:15):
guess I'm just not really sure what happens. So my
questions is it over? Well? I had a technical issue
during part of that. Someone deferred as sissany on this
because my the you were talking almost when he was
two he said two hours late. Yeah, he was two
(26:37):
hours late because work. And what was your reaction when
he came in? Like where you mad? Did you, like,
did you say anything, what did you do at that
in that moment. I mean, I feel like I was
obviously upset. I don't know if you really picked up
on it. I try to be like understanding again because
it was work, but at the same time, like it
(26:58):
really hurt my feelings. But I wanted him to notice.
But I don't know, like he blew it, dude, like
he was not only late, no present and doesn't acknowledge
like that he blew off your birthday. I mean, look,
here is the thing the world, the universe to plant
(27:18):
whatever kept him at work, kept him from being thoughtful,
because this is a sign that that's who he is, right,
And so I think that you need to I would,
I would get out if you Yeah, I think it's
a sign that it should be over maybe. But if
if that was the case, fine things happen, understood, But
(27:41):
he needed to have been running to you saying I'm
so sorry, I'm gonna make it up to you, oh
my god, anything like you know what I mean, like anything,
But it sounds like he was just like who cares
and that's not that's not okay. Well, and because of
what he did in the past where she was saying
that like he used to go all out. So I
feel like it's obviously a change, major change, and all
(28:06):
of this hesitation or all this conversation makes the point
this guy's gotta go. You deserve more thoughtfulness and better
I'm sorry, Klin, Yeah, honestly, Yeah, step in the right direction, right,
you feel it in your guts. This is your whole motto.
Don't settle, don't settle, Yes, Youdards expanders on air with
(28:37):
Ryan Seacrest. This is gonna sound. I mean, we we
often sound lacking in substance. So here it goes again.
You know, the heat flattens your hair. The heat just
flattens your hair. Panini hair. Oh it does the opposite
to me. The heat like frizzes it up. Really, the
humidity does that for me. But the heat, like Panini's it.
(28:58):
You know, I'll do looking pretty fluffy. Yeah, it's looking good. Actually, no,
it's just paninis. You know, like you're talking about the
flat part, like the back. It's hot, like you think
it's fine. Then the heat just and you drip, right,
so you get those strands of wet hair. I think
we just know what are we gonna do. It's just
(29:18):
me or to clothes not feel good. When it's hot,
nothing feels good, right, I get wet on my stomach
inside my shirt and it doesn't feel good. It's the
back sweat drip for me that it just has it
rolled down your back. It's nasty. You know. I used
to get upset with myself when my pits would be sweaty.
But now I forgive myself for you. Yeah, easier on me,
(29:43):
the big stuff. Right, I'm not so upset because I
don't know why. I don't know why you can. Well,
it's like for years you probably used that that crazy
stuff that would like suck your armpits dry and had
all those chemicals in it. I did use that too,
all right. Anyway, let's not get sidetracked. Get on this.
We want to open up this conversation. TikTok. I mean
(30:04):
we go to TikTok for what did we do before?
We didn't have the fashion tips, we have the cooking tips,
we have the medical tips. Well, TikTok is the new Google,
so we would go to Google. Yeah, good point to me.
It replaces TV. Like I feel like when I sit
down at night, I would sit down and watch TV
and then I sit down and I watched TikTok for
(30:25):
like an hour and a half and go to bev
business appreciated. Oh my god, you can't get sucked into it.
I don't have his success. You can't get sucked into it.
But wait, we Who's to say an hour and a
half on TikTok is like I I watched TV for
an hour and a half. Is that not the same? Exactly?
Thank you. No, I'm advocating for television because I work
in the business, So yeah, I doth I do both.
(30:47):
They put television on TikTok these days. I know it's
all there, all there because of the world that are
put radio. They put us on TikTok. TikTok's are funny
from this show. Well, let's get into this yourself. You
know we're really funny when we watch us. I don't
(31:08):
know if you've seen me. I'm like, really funny TikTok
the way it was edited in my talks. All right,
let's let's not get sidetracked by the backwards hat because
we're gonna break down some recent trends on TikTok. Some
of this stuff is just obvious to me. People are
saying calamine primer, like putting calamine lotion, the poison ivy
(31:33):
lotion on, right, Like putting that lotion on before your makeup.
Heals acne and prevents oily skin. Uh no, it doesn't.
It's and it's not safe. It damages your the They
say it can damage your skin by drying it out
on a regular basis. It's used as medicine, which used
when you have an issue, so it's not meant to
(31:53):
be on every day like a moisturize. I wouldn't test
anything out on your face. No, I've it's like, how
about people talk your face to face. It's one of
my petty met to could be could be Sisney's kids,
it could be Michael, it could be anybody, but anybody
doesn't mean it Michael. Well, I'm saying even if it's
a relative, right like, it makes me like my mother
(32:16):
does it and no id act me as a kid.
This is gonna literally always like oh your oils and
your dirt and stuff like I'm not getting don't touch
my face, especially after chicken tenders. Oh yeah, little kids
like Flora. You can't say no to Flora. She wants
I don't say no. I don't say no to her.
But when she yeah, you have kids, it's like it's
(32:37):
just a free for all. You got. Their fingers are
so tiny that I don't worry so much. It's like
big adult hand. Like we were. Yeah, we were at
Disneyland a few days ago and mine then Michael touched
my face at disney I was like, you, like, why
post lap bar? Exactly? All right? Back to the TikTok trends.
Mucus fishing. I don't even what that is. It says
(32:59):
mu gets fishing. Use a finger or cotton swap to
drag the mucus out of your eye. It's probably not
healthy if I use a cute tip, like in the mornings,
I just use my finger. Is that bad? Well, that's bad?
Well I just wash my face. I had liked. I
don't think you supposed to put your fingers near your
eyes ever. Mucus out mucus? You have eye buggers in
(33:22):
the morning. Yeah, I use a cute tip, but I'm
guarantee you that's not a good idea. What are you
supposed to Well, I don't know. It says this isn't safe.
The mucus in your eye is there for a reason.
Don't remove it, get out of here. Yeah, that was
just the crusties in the morning. Now this one, I
guess I understand what TikTok trying milk. Use milk to
brighten your skin. So you heat up a bowl of milk,
(33:44):
you soak a cotton pad in it, and then you
stick it on your face the cotton pad like twenty minutes.
That lactic acid in the milk removes dead skin cells.
I'm at war with a lot of dairy often, so
I this like sk rors me to play if when
when darry goes in me, it causes combustion. So I'm
(34:05):
like worry to put it on me for potentially the
same result. But they say this is fine and it
has a lot of benefit. Okay, wow, you've put milk
on your face. No not, not for twenty minutes. Breast
milk really heals. Like if like your baby has like
a rash or something, so like you can put breast
milk on it. It would like help. Dream that I'm
(34:26):
reading a book with the most trays that goes across
the tub in a honey bath. Honey milk bath. Okay,
hold on, how do you feel in the dream? How's
the dream mak you feel. That's the root, that's the
root of the of what's going on in your head.
Don't you have your dream? Don't. No, I'm actually getting
(34:49):
good at analyzing dreams on my own. I practice it
with my therapy torn Horn. Again, I'm gonna start keeping
analyzing dreams, and boy, am I funny? On TikTok. I'm
telling you because it goes back to the root of
your how you feel in your dream, Like if you like,
you have to think about the feeling. Well, I think
that that dream. Look just the fact that I can
(35:10):
remember it, I'm patting myself on the back, but I ain't.
That dream is probably a relaxing, soothing dream, but which
doesn't last long. But I think it seems like you're
in a good place then mentally, I think because I'm
in a honey milk back. Yes, yeah, you pray feel
relaxed right now? Right now? No, but but then probably anyway,
those are some of the I For me, it's like
(35:32):
stick to the cooking tips. No, God, what are you
doing right now? What are you doing? I love these
four one or two seven? Text me ever since I
got this text number, I'm on it. Text me four
one two seven, what are you doing right now? And
then more detailed the better when you say we'll read
(35:55):
some of these later. Okay, So we're about to meet
the men infest her. What do I call her? Heather? No,
but I mean had that when we introduced her for contact.
She was the coach at your actually this Dale retreat
who taught manifestation. And what struck me about her or
what you told me about what she told you, was
(36:16):
that she said people in life, in your life can
be expanders. Like that's a good term you want to have, expander.
I've never heard that before, have you, says any No,
never heard the term expanders. All right, so we'll meet
her and a few Meanwhile, you've got a training report, Tanya.
(36:36):
The drama surrounding this movie, I there's so many notes.
I had to make like a separate little note on
top of my note sheet because it's just like a lot.
So don't worry, darling. This movie is actually we're in
the home stretch. It's coming out September, and it's Olivia
Wilde's uh second directorial debut. Remember she did Book Smart
and now this is the second one that she boot
(36:58):
was a big hit. It was a big hit UM,
and so she this, this has been going this has
been going on for a while. So in April, that's
when she cast shy La Buff and Florence Pugh as
the leads of this movie. Right, there was all this drama.
She ended up casting Harry Styles to replace Shaia in April. Right,
(37:18):
do you guys remember when Olivia wild was at CinemaCon
and she got served the papers from Jason zudekis actual, Yeah,
because it was like very embarrassing because there was a
lot of photos taken. This was a big moment for
her UM. And then recently she has been talking about
how she fired Shila Buff from the movie because of
his um combative to protect the cast and crew from
(37:40):
his combative energy. Well, Shia is now saying he quit
the movie, that he was not fired. And then miraculously
this video leaks online and it is Olivia Wilde herself
like it's obviously like a selfie video, and this is
what she was saying in the video. I feel like
(38:00):
I'm not ready to give up on this yet, and
I too, am heartbroken and I want to figure this out.
I think this might be a bit of a wake
up call for miss Flow, and I want to know
if you're open to giving this a shot with me
before you tell me more. I just so I can
follow this. They had in allegedly they had an issue.
(38:22):
Now she's trying to say, let's patch it back up. Correct?
And what is she What does she say at the
end there about this might have been a wake up
call from miss Flow. We're thinking she's referencing Florence Pew. Yeah, yes,
I understand, meaning what I don't know. Maybe there was
some disagreement, some some vision disagreement between Shaya. So is
trying to extend the brand, yeah, to get him back
(38:44):
on the movie, which is basically I feel as though
that's why this video was leaked, because she is trying
to say he left the film, that she didn't fire him,
he left. Oh, this video was a private video. Correct,
This was not a posted video. No, no, no no, it's
like her driving in the car like obviously something like
she made this and she sent it to him directly. Correct.
(39:05):
I thought it was posted. No, it was not posted,
and so now it has been Now it has been leaked.
It's posted everywhere, and people are going bananas. They're writing
like times up Olivia. People are really upset that she's
like lying and spreading all like it has the drama
has not it's just been But wait, hold on, is
she line she could have that could have all happened,
and now she's just saying, look, let's just here's the
(39:28):
thing I feel. I love Olivia Wilde, so I don't
I don't believe that she would just lie like that.
I think that maybe this was taken out of context,
and maybe he left and then she tried to get
him back, and then he came back, and then she
fired him. I mean, who knows, We don't know the truth.
But there's here's here's the bigger question I have for us.
It could be in this situation or in any other
(39:49):
situation when there's all this sideline drama and all these
sideline stories, does it impact the movie? Like does it
impact your interest in the movie? Good or bad? I'm
trying to think of a movie that had a lot
of drama in the background. Then we ended up watching
Shyla buff have One, didn't didn't have a transformer drama genre.
(40:16):
They well, no, there's always he he has um a
history hist in the boat usually so, but does it
like will you be more or less interested or doesn't
you mean I think, yeah, it's in the back of
your head a little bit, But then you get so
invested in the movie, hopefully because they're good enough factors
that you just get sucked in. I will say I'm
(40:37):
a little bit bummed because there's also drama going on
with like Florence Pugh where she's saying she's not going
to do much press for this because of some reason
that we don't know, and so I'm kind of like,
what's going on? What do we not know? I don't
like it, but to me, I want to support a
woman director. I love Harry Style so much, so I'm
just like, it doesn't really impact the movie for me, right,
(41:01):
it doesn't impact the movie. If they were on a
television show or something, then I feel different strangely, like
or or or or what's your show, Grey's Anatomy, or
or if they were on like a paneled judging show,
like it would be more in my head in a
(41:21):
situation like that than in a film. Let's get into it.
Tanya told us, you know, this show is so fun
even for us and we're here every day, but it's
so fun because we have like a plan. I would say,
these days we stick to about the place, and so
when we go off the plan, there's always a there's
(41:43):
often a revelation. And not surprisingly, Saysney, Tanya went on
an Actuley Tisdale retreat. That doesn't doesn't really surprise me.
I would picture her from any former high school musical
cast members retreat kind of like her thing. Yeah, um,
and it doesn't surprise me that she would come back
(42:03):
uh and tell us without blinking about a manifestation moment,
sharing her knowledge. Um. But she really had love enthusiasm
and she said she met Heather and we found out
that Heather was the manifestation coach at the retreat, and Heather,
we want to know more because it's kind of changed, Dartagna.
Heather is joining us now. It's so nice to meet you. Heather, Hi, Ryan, Hi,
(42:28):
sis Me, Hi, Tania. It's nice to meet everyone. Jania.
Thank you so much for sharing everything that you learned
that day. It was really exciting to hear from you
to say that you wanted to talk more about it.
And what did you learn about Tanya? Really? Am I
really supposed to give all these secrets away? I talked
about it. You can you can say, you know the
(42:50):
biggest thing with well, let me say this, right. Manifestation
is a word that's used so much. I think it's
important to remember that manifestation. All it means is to
receive the things that you want because you feel deserving
of it. So Tanya is looking to get engaged started
life with her partner, and a big part of it
is a little bit of dare I say, desperation and
(43:13):
wanting to feel like, why is this happening now? Well,
what happens is when you want to have it happen now.
The energy around that is feeling like, well, I'm not
worthy unless I am engaged. I'm not worthy unless somebody
says you are my number one. So I think a
big part of what Tanya and I kind of talked about,
and she willingly shared it with the group, right, it's
(43:35):
just this idea of how she looking for I mean
to go, I know your advice is great, but to
sit there and share that with a group at a retreat.
If I don't know how you do it, I couldn't
do it. I mean I could either and say either
like one on one session, but in front of the
circle of people. Um, Heather, So what you're saying, is like,
(43:58):
what we heard her tell us is that she's got
the boxes are checked for her happiness. She doesn't need
to have the engagement per se. But I will pick
up on desperation. So there are times when one of
us are impatient. Here, is that a form of desperation? Yeah,
(44:19):
and let's use that word lately. You know. The idea
is is that the intention behind that is feeling like
a lack of trust. I mean, that's a softer way
to say that I don't trust that what I want
is going to come to me eventually, so I need
to dog paddle a little bit right now, hence desperation
to make it come sooner. Really, it's just feeling like
(44:41):
if I don't have it now, I'm never going to
have it, which just isn't true. We're raised to think
that we were raised, at least where I was raised
in the family I was raised, is you've got to
make Hey, you've got to you know, you've got to
go for it now, You've got to say yes, you've
got to get there early. Later. It's like there's a
little bit of a panic tempo to all of it. Well,
(45:03):
and you know Ryan, what that is is the feeling
of earning to receive, right, You've got to earn it
versus just like receiving it because you're deserving of it.
I would never feel like I would. It's like I
had to put in the time to be able to
go buy the pizza, paying your dues. Yeah, which is
a story, right, that's a story we've picked up. Well
(45:26):
now how uh? We also were introduced Heather the what
is your title? What do we call you? The manifestation coach? Oh? Yeah,
I like to think of myself as an advocate, right,
I'm advocating whoever i'm speaking to on looking at what's
your story and is it true? And how can we
let it go? Okay, So that's who she is and
(45:47):
what she does and matter. And she told us that
you introduced a word to her in a concept and
we're kind of time on time. But expanders, these expanders
in your life, So give us a little summary of
what that is and how we want to connect with them. So,
anytime we see something that someone else have, typically we
would use the word envy or jealousy, but instead of
(46:11):
looking at it in a negative light, look at it
as this person is expanding me it's showing me what
I want. It's also showing me do I believe I
can have it? Or do I believe I can't have it?
So finding expanders is incredible and it's this idea of okay,
if they can have it, so can I. Okay. So when,
for example, Tanya's boyfriend Robbie is really cut, really fit
(46:35):
and looks great in his clothes, I shouldn't be upset.
Definitely not. That is showing you Ryan that you're looking
for a certain style you are. I know you're really busy,
So how can you find more time in your day
to focus a little bit more maybe on physical activity.
That's just showing you these are the things that are
(46:56):
important to you. All right. There's a lot of things
we should have you back and talking commitment in marriage. So,
I mean, you know what was the most just on
a on a last beat here, what was the like
fun of the Tisdale retreat? Was there a play put on?
Did you guys do sing along? There? The highlight? This
(47:19):
was like, wasn't there a fun activity? We did yoga,
We had like nice meals together. It was very beautiful.
Is she traveling this tour? No? It was too launch
she has a line being Frenchy that's out at Target.
It's like bath bombs and pillow sprays and hair masks
and like wellness speaking my language. Yeah, I love a
(47:43):
bath bomb. All right, Well, thank you have it for
coming on and uh, nice to meet you. We'll have
you back some time a definitely everyone, Bye bye and
to actually Tistoe, congratulations on the launch of that product.
By the way, it's anybody checked. Is Corbin Blue having
a retreat? Because we should sign up for one of
those get it going? Uh? Isn't it weird how someone
(48:10):
can be so calm and we're I'm totally not. I know,
there's this energy that's SERI comming. Do you think what
if we were as calm as Heather? Do you think
we have these jobs? Well, it would just be a
different paste show. I don't think they would have hired me,
you know, like, I kind of think the panic in
me is a good thing, but I also think it
(48:31):
can be a double edged sword. I think it's been
a big pass. Yeah. I don't think we need to
change who we are. Guys, We're good. Thank you. Ryan Seacrest,
It's Ryan Seacrest. Here is the Snet. Tanya, and a
few more other other people we're gonna introduce in a second. Plus,
we have two callers on the line. We don't play
(48:53):
a lot of games here, and this may be why.
Let's see all this goes. Mark explaining the game to
me during that song was entertainment enough. But I mean
I think I think I kind of get this. Well,
so we're gonna play, uh basically, let me get the
music and we're gonna play a version of the old
(49:14):
match game. Okay. I've got two callers on the line. Okay,
who happened to coincidently both being Montabello this morning. I've
never seen it. By the way, I've never seen the game. Well,
this is our version of it. We needed some frame
of reference. You'll see why it's called on in a second.
So good morning. Who is this? Hi? Generea and Montabello.
(49:36):
It's Ryan. Everybody. Let me bring in our other contestant
number two. Hi, Utraia. Hi. We're gonna play a game
we've never played before. So let's see how it goes. Okay, Okay,
so here's how it works. Generea and Ustralia Contestants one
and two. I'm gonna give you a phrase with a
blank in it. It'll make a lot of sense, but
(49:58):
it'll be that's a blank. Our panel here of Sisson E,
Tanya Ruby and Tobbs Well write down what they think
should go in the blank. All right, then we'll hear
what you put in the blank and see how many
people you match with. Okay, we'll play two rounds. Whoever
matches the most at the end of two gets to
(50:19):
choose between six Flags tickets or Kendrick Lamar tickets. So
nobody should reveal their answers right away, right, so you
don't say anything till you're asked. Okay, well, how much
time the show we're gonna get this in. It's just
explaining it. Our music is a little distracted, not uh yeah,
(50:40):
just's turn turned down a litle there. Okay, alright, so
we don't have to play a lot of games. Let's
see if it's worth it. All right, I've explained the
rules and here we go. This is gonna be for
Jenneriah first as contest at number one stan By Australia. Okay,
(51:02):
just fill in the blank, don't say it. Everybody here
blank canyon, blank canyon. So now Sissony Tanya Ruby tops
you fill in your blank and Generia, you think of
your blank? Do I see it? Now? No? No, no,
(51:22):
are you guys ready? Okay, Generea, what did you say,
grand Canyon? Grand Wow? That's it. I didn't think of
that one, Okay, I thought so many others I used
um Okay, Jenneria says grand Cissy. What do you say?
I said, Runyon, Runyon? Okay, Tanya, what did you say, Laurel? Laurel? Okay? Ruby?
(51:46):
What do you say? What did you say? Malibu? Oh
my gosh? All right, how does don't worry? So now
she's probably not in the lead? Astray, I stand by
general Australia. All right, here comes blank? Now comes your blank.
(52:09):
It's maybe while we never play games. Okay, here we go,
so all right, so this one is now orange orange
blank So Australia, I think of yours? Okay, orange blank?
(52:31):
All right, here we go, Australia. What do you say? Soda?
What was it? Soda? Orange soda? Okay? Uh, Sissy, I
said orange slice, Tanya, orange Julius. I don't even know
what that is? Ruby tops crush. How did nobody say county?
(53:03):
I thought about county? I did what I didn't think
about County, but then I thought, Julius se County, Australia.
You get to choose between Kendrick Lamar or six Flags tickets.
What's gonna be? Okay? That means generation you get to
go see Kendrick Lamar. Who oh everybody wins. That's so
(53:28):
cool alright, and that has been why we don't play
many games it. I liked it. Do you have any
more questions? All right? Thank you Generated Australia and hold
on to your price here Orange County. I thought about
Orange County, but I thought it was too obvious. I
(53:49):
was like slice, So you're strategizing. You're supposed to be like,
guess what comes to me anyways? County? And by what? Soda?
Orange Fanta Orange soda is very delicious on air with
Ryan Secrets. So if you got a little worried when
(54:15):
you saw the hazard post on Instagram about uh, you know,
be careful. People can find out exactly where you are
no matter what you say. Um worried about people you
know tracking you down from your Instagram post. Take a
deep breath. I guess it's not exactly what we originally
(54:38):
panicked to think it would be exactly. So a few
days ago, it was a p s A right that
was circulating city. Yeah, it was going through Instagram, and
I think we all started panicking because everybody just started
reposting that because it looked so alarming. It had these
huge font letters that said important since the new update,
people can find exactly where your location is and all
this stuff. You gotta go to your sentence and you've
gotta turn off precise location, and so we're all like,
(55:00):
what is this. Yeah, so you go into your settings
and you go into your Instagram app and then sure enough,
you see precise locations right there and it's turned on.
And you're like, so I went in there and I
turned it off because I was like, what, I don't
want that on, right, because I don't want people seeing
my exactly. Well, it's not the case. So that's why
I'm saying, don't freak out, because it's not like when
(55:21):
you go to tag Los Angeles, it's going to tag
your house. You know, if you're at home tagging a
picture on Instagram and you put Los Angeles or even
probably even as Burbank, you know, more specific something like that.
A smaller city like Sherman Oaks or something. It's not
going to really track it down specifically to your home.
It will do the broader range. Everybody thought that because
(55:43):
of this new iOS update, this precise location was turned on,
but that's not the case. So if precise is on,
how precise isn't it? It is on when you want
it to be precise. So if you want to say
I am at the Kiss FM studios in Burbank, that
is precise. You are tagging the Kiss FM studios because
that has been tagged with this address. So if you're
(56:04):
tagging a restaurant, if you're tagging, you know, El capitent
Theater in Hollywood, you that is a precise location. If
you're if you're tagging your house with your address, there
you go. So you don't want people to know exactly
where you are, you can you can turn that on?
You me, No, no, not not necessarily. But the fact
that we've cameras on us on Kiss right now, it's
(56:26):
pretty clear what's going on. You know exactly where I'm
out right the second. But yes, But the the other
funny thing is to me, yes, I get it all
the privacy thing. It makes a lot of sense. I
think we're off the same way. But you remember when
a big, thick yellow book was thrown on your doorstep
(56:46):
with your home phone number and your home address and
your full name, and everybody just got it, and everyone
else's phone numbers and every Yeah, and the whole city.
You got everybody in the whole city's name, address and
phone number. Oh my gosh, Ryan, I've never thought of
that called the Yellow Page. No, I know it's called
the Yellow Pages, but I've honestly never thought about how
(57:09):
we did have everybody's number. Everybody. I mean, I remember
when I was growing up, I could look up anybody's
name in Atlanta and you could call four one one.
Remember that, Yeah, I kind of I could probably google
everybody's address. No, you can do that, Yes, that I
(57:29):
had to. I was so proud our name was in there.
It was like the first time I was in print, Secrest.
That was your first manifestation. That was my manifestation. Yes,
first started seeing your name in print. Basically, it's not true.
Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make
sure to subscribe it, and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
