for about seventeen years now. He took over after Bob
Barker retired in two thousand and seven. Drew, who is
sixty five now, was recently asked about his own plans
to retire, but he says no plans to leave the show.
Drew and on to say he thinks Bob, who passed
away back in twenty twenty three, made a big mistake

(00:56):
leaving the show, adding that he plans to continue quote
as long as my heart is ticking and they want
me to be on the show. Who's also asked and
he had any advice for Ryan Secrets? Who's taken over
Wheel of Fortune Almerio dot com to see what he
had to say?

Keeping the music coming your way as producer Fraser tells
us what's new and maybe worth checking out on TV
and streaming.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
What do We Got?

Speaker 4 (01:47):
CW has Police twenty four to seven a raw, unfiltered
look into the world of sheriff and police stations across
the country. So cops basically but rebranded as police.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I'm glad they're getting back to showcasing law enforcement because
for the wild there, they actually took cops off the air.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
They took paw Patrol off the air. Come on, no kidding,
They actually took paw Patrol off the air briefly that
and then it came back with Kim Kardashian in it, speechless.
TLC and Max have the season ten premiere of Outdoddered.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Out Doddered. Oh my gosh, that sounds like a nightmare.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
And Netflix has the premiere of super Rich in Korea,
exploring the lavish lives of super rich individuals living in Korea.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
You know what you're getting in that title. I like it,
Heyl Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Courtney's out of the studio right now, but we're gonna
squeeze a little life hag. Anyways, there's just got something
Mother's Day related, correct.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yes, that is correct. This is something dads can help
the kids do to make Mother's Day flowers a little
extra special. So a lot of people have old flower
vases arounds. You might have some that were handed down
or just broken ones. Here's what you do. You get
the kids to decorate those with new paint and stuff.
So you get glass paint, right. You give the kids
some brushes and have them decorate away on the glass vase.

(03:06):
Pick up some flowers, of course, new flowers, not dead ones,
and give mom a custom vase decorated by the kids
and the bouquet flowers.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
There you go, There you go. She'll keep that forever.
Also a little extra tip.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
I have not tried this out or verified it, but
I did read that adding a half cup of seven
up to the water helps the flowers last longer.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
By the way, I always try to find seven up.
I dare you to find it. It's like, wait, possible.
You think it's like they just don't have it. They
always have sprite or they always about like restaurants, stores, restaurants,
anywhere you go.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
I cannot find seven up. They always have seven up
all the time. I never see seven up. Take a
picture next time, all right, moore. Mario Lopez on the way,
A'm Mario Lopez.

Music rolls on as we fire up zoom and get
ready to talk to actor Aaron atkart Mario Lopez Here
a new movie is Chief of Station. Going to get
the scoop on that and catch up with Aaron.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Next a move tubyld.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Mario Lopez joining me now on Zoom from the new
movie Chief of Station actor Aaron Eckhart. Welcome to the show, Aeron,
how you been man, Very good you I'm well, thank
you for taking the time. Congrats on the new movie.
Looks like a lot of action and espionage.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
What's it about?

Speaker 6 (04:41):
Well, it's about you know, That's what it is. Is an
old fashioned spy movie. You know. We filmed it over
in Budapest, you know, so it's got that beautiful Cold
war feel. It's a lot of action, you know, a
lot of a lot of slide of hand and handoffs
and that kind of thing. You know, good stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
I love it, my kind of flick. Had you spent
any time in Budapest prior.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I hadn't. Now I.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Know Europe pretty darn well. I went to school in
England and in my high school there, so I was
familiar with all that. And you know, considering the Cold
War kind of thing, I lived through that in the
eighties with the Soviet Union that I happened in London,
and so I was right in the thick of it.
So to go to Budapest, which was, you know, behind

(05:25):
the Iron Curtain at the time, was very exciting. The
architecture the Danube, this beautiful river. I was blown away
by the city, and the city really let us use it.
We used all their beautiful architecture in the buildings, and
that's all in the film The Danube. You know. So
if you harken back to the old sort of eighties

(05:48):
spy films, you know, it really resonates with that.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Well, Aaron hang On got to take a quick break,
and then we're gonna have more with Aaron.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Eckert more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Getting back to Aaron Atkharts, who's on Zoom with us,
been talking about a Zoom movie Chief O Station, but
also in the works deep Water where you and Ben
Kingsley are going to be fighting sharks.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
I believe, is that true?

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Basic Probably before before we fight sharks, we we have
to go down in the plane. We're pilots together.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
So it's a plane now.

Speaker 6 (06:23):
Don't tell Reddy, Yes, don't tell. Rennie Harland I said this,
but it's a it's a plane crash shark movie.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
That sounds awesome playing and Ready Arland directing too, that
sounds awesome.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
I'm in for both of these.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
I said to Ready, you said, how can you miss
with the plane crash? And then you're going to New Sharks.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, couldn't get cooler than that. Well, Aaron Eckhart is
hanging out with us a few more songs.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
I want to talk some more.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Catching up with Aaron Eckhart this hour. Mario Lopez here
and Aaron I got to ask you, Max. We had
Nina dough brev in here not too long ago for
The Brick Layer, and she said, you memorize the script
faster than anyone she's ever seen.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
What's the what's the boss?

Speaker 6 (07:01):
Well, no, I I. I think we had a conversation
and makeup one time and we were talking about that,
and I said, I never step on script, uh set
without knowing this script backwards and forwards to completely memorized everything.
I'll never do it. And if I do do it,
it's tough for me. Uh So, for example, right now

(07:22):
I'm working with Jesse again that did did did this movie?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (07:26):
And you know, I just spend all day, you know,
getting to know my stuff. And you know, I'm getting
older and I can't remember lines, you know, as well
as I used to, And so I I make sure
that you know this is my philosophy. I try my
philosophy on set. Is my motto is I just got

(07:47):
to survive the day. I've just got to survive the day.
And the easiest way to survive is to know what
you're doing and to not have to think about words
and not have to think about character. And and when
if the director comes up to you and says, Aaron,
would you mind doing it this way? So yeah, absolutely
no problem. Had I not done the homework before, if

(08:07):
the director came up to me and said, Aaron, would
you mind trying it this way? I know it's not
the way you thought about it. But you know a
lot of times you would be thrown by that and
you'd say, oh, I can't do it that way or
I you know, but it just makes the day go
by easier. And and so that's my that's my philosophy.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Absolutely, there's nothing like being prepared because then you have
freedom to be creative. Aaron, hang on for me, going
to take a quick break, and then we're gonna come
back and wrap it up with Aaron Ecar, wrap it
up with Aaron that car Ard your own Mario Lopez
and before you go erin you were a bare knuckle fighter.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
In Rumble through the Dark.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
I just had a bare knuckle boxing event that I
was hosting. Get involved with the company this past while
it was wild?

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Did you did you keep up with any of that
training afterwards? Not a start of the bare knuckle, but
with the boxing what have you?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (08:57):
Yeah, I trained every day?

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Hey, good for you, right, every day.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
I've been training for years. And uh, that movie, that
bare knuckle stuff is out of control. It is these guys.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
It's really interesting too.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
When I watched study Velt, a lot of guys, you know, lawyers,
you know, dentists, whatever, professionals you know that would be
on the side, or bare knuckle guys and they're good.
They go in there and take care of business. And
uh so, what's what's the what's the lesson to be
learned there is never take anybody for.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Granted, never underestimate anything.

Speaker 6 (09:36):
Yep. So I tell my boys and always look at
you know, when you're out on the street, you look
at a guy and you always ask yourself. He said,
can that guy? Is that guy a fighter? What's he got?
What's he got in his pockets? You know, what's his
first movement? Mario? I'll ask you. I always ask all
my trainers, all my fight trainers, everything, and I always

(09:56):
ask him, what's your first move?

Speaker 2 (09:59):
My first move left hook, same as Freddie roach, left hook,
left fook, right hand, always got don't let it get
within two feet, keep my hands up, left hook, right hand,
that's first move.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
All where you go, my man.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
I look forward to hopefully seeing you in person soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time. And I
know you were holding up I think your phone or something.
That's awesome. Chief of Station is the film. It's in
theaters right now, Aaron, thanks so much.

All Mario Lopez Man, this is Tuesday's flying ye.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
If you got a request, get it in now at
on with Mario on Twitter and speaking of Twitter, gonna
get to your comments and questions in the tweet stack
later this hour. Hank tight for that and just a
few songs away from digging into the Buzz. Hollywood Buzz
coming up next a Mario Lopez digging into the Buzz
because Tom Brady has been roasted.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
On with Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
For Tom, nothing and no one was off limits, including
his ex wife, Giselle Bunchen.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
She was the bud of a lot of jokes. As
you might expect.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Roast host Kevin Hart led the way, and he got
an assist from fellow comics Jeff Ross, who, by the way,
is like the roast goat, and Nicki Glacier, who was
really funny that night. They both went after Tom and Giselle.
Tom was pretty much a good sport about everything. He
only got a little upset visibly when Jeff Ross, who's

(12:15):
notorious for offensive jokes, took a swipe at Patriots owner
Robert Kraft, who was accused in twenty nineteen of soliciting prostitution.
The charges were later dropped, which to me is bizarre.
He's an older guy, probably didn't care charges were dropped.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
It was sort of funny. I think there were wifes.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
There were jokes about his wife, his ex wife, his kids,
all this, but that upset him.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I know it was so weird.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
They literally said please walk on Leonardo DiCaprio's ex girlfriend's
ex husband, and then with the yes that was a
little weird. Crowdwin nuts when Ben Affleck walked out. Start
contrast to the booing Kim Kardashian received when she took
this stick.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
To be fair, she gets booed whenever she takes any stage.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
You know, they really went in on her. And now
I was thinking about it. Her kids are like big
enough to watch this, see this. It's gotta bother you.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
I mean it would bother me.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
The crowd chanted Tom's name when it was his turn,
and they took no mercy on Kim once again.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
But all in all, it was really funny.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Mario Courtney Lopez here in today's lesson to music history
takes us back to one of the most iconic one
hit wonders.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Of the eighties, and there was a lot of them too.
I'm gonna reveal it next, Mario Lopez. Time to get
your questions and comments. What do we got, Frasier?

Speaker 4 (13:33):
This is from to Bobby box star Lopez. Where's the
video of that first pitch you said you were doing
at the baseball game. Yeo, was that bad that you
didn't post it? I threw a strike, player, I threw
a strike. I actually didn't get really good footage. I'm
gonna ask someone to send it to me. What was
a lot of fun too? They let me hit BP
some batting practice. It took me a second to get

(13:55):
the timing, but then oh, once I got and it was fun.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Man, it was a lot of fun. I watch tequila
before the pitch.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
I didn't have too many because it was a lot
the night before, but I did make it over the plate.
I'm feeling really comfortable, So if you feel like inviting
me out right now, the arm is hot.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
What a Mario Lopez?

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Her music rolls on as we quickly recognize today's obscure holiday.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Fraser, what are we celebrating on May seventh, National Teacher Day?

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Yes, I do a lot of celebrating for teachers with
these big conventions that my boy Wade King hosts, where
essentially goes all over the world celebrating teachers and it's
a really really cool thing.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
So hey, happy National Teacher Day.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Why Old Courtney Lopez Here, Marvel Letting Ryan Reynolds go
hard r with Deadpool three. The new trailer is out.
More f bombs in Tarantino, Let's say something.

Speaker 7 (14:46):
Hugh Jackman is shooting up one last time as Wolverine.
The movie drops in July, but you can see the
trailer now at On with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Here a Mario Courtney Lopez and Quentin Tarantino has scrapped
his final film.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
On with Mario Lopez Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
So Tarantino always been saying that his tenth movie would
be his Laps.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
I can't believe he's only done ten movies.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
He's really had an impact.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
It was supposed to be called The Movie Critic starring
Brad Pitt, and it was set in the seventies, but
all of a sudden, he announced that he's canceling the
entire project. He hasn't given a reason yet where it
is he's going to move on to something new for
his final film.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Wow, that's that's pretty bold.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
You had the concept, you had your lead actor, and
you're like, Nah, this isn't working for it.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
Well, he apparently what it sounds like is that he
didn't feel like this was should be his farewell movie.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
I guess so, and he's only promised one more, so
he can't do both.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I hope he takes.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
A page out of musical artists who say it's their
final tour.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
And then they come back for it. Maria exactly.

Speaker 1 (15:47):

one of my favorite movies as a kid, The original

(16:39):
Mel Gibson in the original Mad maxim Road Warrior awesome,
So I can't wait.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
For this one.

Speaker 7 (16:44):
This one starts Anya Taylor Joy as the Charlie's staring

Speaker 3 (16:51):
So okay, that's cool. Let's get back to music.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Jo on Mario Courtney Lopez, and it sounds like DiCaprio
is gonna play the chairman of the board.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Hollywood buzz word is Martin Scorsese's next project will be
a biopick about Frank Sinatra. Yes, and Leonardo DiCaprio is
going to be playing Frank. Jennifer Lawrence is going to
be playing his second wife, Ava Gardner. Sinatra's estate hasn't
given his blessing yet, but obviously all the major studios

(17:22):
are interested.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
I saw an.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Interview with Joaquin Phoenix and Christian Bale, very talented, good
actors themselves, and they said, we only get the roles
that DiCaprio passes on. That's how big time DiCaprio is
so for him to do this with Martin Scorsese, I mean,
that's that's big.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Time and Jennifer Lawrence. Interesting casting.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Now, Frank was already married when he started his relationship
with Ava.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
He was married when he started the next one too.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Their marriage led to a number of well publicized fights
and two aborted pregnancies. So a lot of drama going on,
uh with Frank who has my favorite all time.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Nickname for a singer.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Forget the Boss, Forget the King of Pop, forget all
that Charleman, forget the captain Chairman of the board.

Is wady to go full story? Get on with Mario
dot com more with Mario Lopez coming up.
