Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Here we go finally Friday weekend pregames starting out today.
I'm gonna be hanging out with former Battlorett Hannah Brown.
She's been writing her first romance novel, so we're gonna
find out all about that. Plus, I got your first
look at everything new hit in theaters and streaming, so
let's keep the music rolling. You're on with Mario Lopez, Jon,
Mario Lopez. Let's take a look at what's on TV today.
What do we got?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Netflix has John Mulaney's Everybody's in La Live Show, where
John explores La during the Netflix as a Joke Festival.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Oh, I'm interested in seeing that very inside baseball if
you live here in La. But I'm sure it'll still
be funny.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
By the way, Netflix as a Joke has done something
brilliant for marketing. They've wrapped a lot of the garbage
trucks in LA to say Netflix is a joke, So
it's like billboards are everywhere.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
That's awesome.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Max and HGTV have Zillo Gone Wild based on the
Instagram accounts the wackiest and wildest homes that hit the market.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Gone Wild has become such a part of the lexicon
and pop culture.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
It's amazing has the unexplained mysteries of the universe. William
Shatner opens the doors on the strange and unusual.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
My Man William Shatner in his nineties instilled out their
work and God bless them. Mario Lopez, here was some
quick buzz for you. The live action he Man movie
has a new home. Netflix canceled the project last year,
but now Amazon has picked it up. No word yet
on who the star is going to be. They are
setting a release date for June twenty twenty six. I

(01:26):
just love he Man, the animated series when I was
a kid and the live action with Dulph Lugrin. Yes,
I vividly remember, so I'll probably be watching this on
my kids. Jomaro Courney Lopez. Time for another fate debate
where the topics are made up on the spot, but
the passion is real. Who's pro whoiscond today? Corney will
be pro?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Yes, I will?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
You will be conned because last week it was the opposite.
You have fifteen seconds to make your case, ten second
rebuttal your topic today. Inspired by Sinko to Mario on Sunday,
Hey now is tequila.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
I'm con toqual you are.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
Oh you know what, Missus Lopez. I, since marrying a Mexicano,
I have embraced everything within the culture, specifically tequila.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
I drink it. I don't get hungover. That's Costa Mexico.
By the way, I just am all about the mexicanoss.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Well. I mean, you're drinking high quality, top agave shelf
tequila tequila. But I'm gonna tell you why I'm both
opposed to it, because tequila, even though it's the healthiest
drank out there, will make a person do some wild
things and you cannot control yourself sometimes. Well I can't,

(02:48):
but a lot of people cannot. And then if you
can't control yourself, you're into trouble.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Missus Lopez.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
I just if you are not married to a Mexican,
you need to be That's all I have to say.
And drink tequila, mister Lopez.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I strongly discourage Mary and anyone Mexican, especially the men
that are a handful and a hot mess, and the
tequila will take you down a dark path.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Wow, Mario Lopez, Hearin Venus Williams getting into the podcast game.
Apparently the tennis legend is a big passion for art
and photography. Bot is called Widening the Lens. It's gonna
drop next weekend. And if you want to listen to
this show as a podcast, you should just search on
with Mario Mario Lopez. Here was some quick buzz. Rosie
O'Donnell is joining season three of the Sex and the

(03:37):
City spin off. Just like that. She's gonna play a
character named Mary. Production just started. Season two ended with
Carrie leaving her longtime apartment and Kim Catarle's long awaited cameo.
All right, let's get back to music. Time from us
to see movies with Mario. Let's take a look what's
doing theaters and streaming this weekend.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
The fall Guys in Theaters. Ryan Gosling is a stuntman
by day in a bounty on her by night.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Oh I forgot that he was a bounty hunter by
night played by Lee Majors in the TV series.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yes, didn't he.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
What was that movie he did called Drive where he
was like a stunt driver by day and a getaway
driver by night.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
This is the same movie.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
No, that was Baby Driver?

Speaker 3 (04:15):
No, No, No, isn't it No, Baby Driver was nonsole
Elgortz or whatever.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
So I like that movie Baby No.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
That movie was great. But Ryan Gosling did one driver.
He was essentially a stunt driver and then a getaway driver.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
But they just rebooted the movie. It seems like Unfrosted.
On Netflix, Jerry Seinfeld's story about the invention of pop tarts.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
It's Seinfeld's directorial debut and back of the Day, Kellogg
and post Cereal were in a race to make pop darts.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Prom dates On Hulu, Jess and Hanna find themselves suddenly
single with just twenty four hours left before their senior.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Prom Oh, that's a serious issue that I can actually
relate to.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I saw the TV glow in theaters when their favorite
reality show is canceled. Reality itself begins to crumble for
two teenage outcasts.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Is that a comedy? Huh? It sounds sad. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

try to guess the agents. Cheryl Burke, she.

Thanks for taking the time. Congrats on your debute novel,
Mistakes We Never made. Oh bold title, right there.

It's good. Right, it's a good one. I'm so excited
about this project.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
What's the plot?

Speaker 6 (07:14):
So it is a romance novel. It is about Emma,
who is kind of like your classic type A. Feels
like she has to be in control of everything, which
makes her a very great made of.

Speaker 7 (07:28):
Honor for her best friend.

Speaker 6 (07:31):
And it's set and her best friend's wedding weekend and
everything's going great until best friend.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
Goes missing, and so she has to enlist the.

Speaker 6 (07:41):
Help of her like almost maybe guy that she's always like,
just they've they've had some history, and so they have
to go on a wild goose chape together to try
to find their best friend from making what they thinks,
you know, the worst mistake of her life.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
And in the meantime do they fall in love?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Well, the book is Mistakes We Never made. It is
out on Tuesday. Got more to ask you. Well, we
got to take a break. I'm gonna come back with
Hannah Brown in just a moment.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Lopez here.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
My guest today is former Bachelor Att Hannah Brown, whose
novel is Mistakes We Never Made. And did you find
any inspiration from your own romantic life or completely fabricated?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
I mean, the.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
Thoughts and feelings I think are definitely from my own life,
but I myself have not gone a lot of goose
Chase for a runaway bride, so you never know, but
I'm sure it's a good time. They go to Vegas,
they go all down the coast of California, So you know,
I do inspiration from places that I've been, but the

(08:47):
exact experience I really can't fully relate to.

Speaker 7 (08:51):
But that was fun. That was like what was really
created and fun about this project?

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Got it?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Well?

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Hold on, Hannah, got to play some more music. What
a Mario Lopez here. We've been talking about the novel
Mistakes We Never Made with author and former Bachelor At
Hannah Brown. Well, let me ask you what was more
challenging dancing Special Forces or creating this world.

Speaker 7 (09:13):
So different.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
I feel like the because they're all like pretty mentally
challenging in different ways. I would say this book is
a longer process than any of them I've been. You know,
there was always like a you know, all right, all
I'm doing is focusing on dating with the stars. All

(09:35):
I'm doing, especially as you know, the thing that I'm
in and I'm completely surrounded by it. We're writing this book.
I mean, I was doing a lot of other projects
at the same time, so I think that makes it
a little bit harder because it's not like I can
just isolate and just focus on one thing. So I'll
take a book is a different type of hawk challenge,

(09:55):
but definitely the most rewarding.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Right, daunting, but yeah, definitely awarding. Mistakes are never made
out On Tuesday, hold on, Hannah, gotta play some more music.
Al Mario Lopez hanging out with former betsore at Hannah Brown.
And you've also got a podcast Better Tomorrow. What do
you talk about on there?

Speaker 7 (10:14):
Talk about all types of things, But really I want
the time.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
That I have guessed on and people listening to just
be like an additive experience. So we have people on
and talk about you know, some of their hardest times
and how they were able to change what they learned,
how they grew to have this better tomorrow's in the future,
and hopefully, you know, whoever's listening in their car or whatever, like,
wherever they're at in that day, they just feel a

(10:39):
little bit better after listening.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
You go, I know you appeared on Tyler Cameron's show
over on Amazon. Do you have any hesitation reuniting with him?

Speaker 1 (10:50):
So?

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Wait, remind me, did you did you marry that dude?
Or did he pick you?

Speaker 6 (10:53):
You could not know he was he was on my
season and we had a little back and forth even
after the show was was.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Wait did you pick that? Were you the bachelorette or
was he the batcher? Know, you were the barette and
you didn't pick them and.

Speaker 7 (11:12):
I didn't pick them.

Speaker 6 (11:14):
Okay, So we had a very interesting relationship. But we're
at the point where we're just like, actually, you know,
can support each other in our different you know, ventures
that we're doing. And so he was he asked me
to come on, and I was like, yeah, why not.
I have a background in interior design and so it

(11:36):
was fun to be able. Yeah, that's what I did
before I was on any.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Of these shows.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
I did the interior decorating, but I mean that was
right out of college, and so yeah, it was really
fun for me to be able to like show that
side of myself.

Speaker 7 (11:51):
It was cool.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Well, you can find better tomorrow on iHeart Radio or
wherever you get your pods. I gotta take a little break.
I'm gonna wrap it up with Hannah Brown in just
a moment.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
To someone else, to someone else. How's that going? When's
the wedding?

Speaker 7 (12:19):
It's going great.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
You know.

Speaker 7 (12:21):
We just really focused on preparing.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
For a marriage and now, which had been great and
I'm feeling so confident. But now we've started the wedding planning.
We took a little bit longer to start, and I
started it while I'm trying to do this press for
this book, which was, I don't know, probably not the
best move.

Speaker 7 (12:43):
So we haven't got that far in it.

Speaker 6 (12:45):
But I have a wonderful wedding planner and we're trying
to get like logistics going. So we're on the you know,
first first half of just trying to figure everything out.
But it's been really, really great and I'm excited hopefully

with a show called Checkmate. All right, let's get back
to music. You're a Mario Lopez and now live on
the website. The trailer to the movie The Idea of You,

(13:41):
Huge novel, Big Hit. It's an Anne Hathaway rom com.
Glad to see old fashioned rom coms are coming back.
This is based on the popular book and I know
my wife's gonna love it. It is ironically similar to
Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde where Harr's also was trending
online because of this movie, I think exactly people speculating,

(14:04):
and plays a single mom whose love interest is the
singer of a huge boy band and Nicholas Gallat sing
so kind of like the Olivia wild Harry styles situation
very similar. Gallaxing, by the way, does his own singing
and the music's legits from the same producer as the
Weekend Ariana Grande one direction. Oh there's a connection. Speaking
of Harry, buzz is real too. The trailer for the
Idea of You actually has the most use for any

(14:26):
feature on streaming right now. Check it out Idea of
You only on Prime Video.

Speaker 1 (14:30):

Yes, Mario Lopez here, let's take a look what's training
on the website.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
The subject of the Quiet on the Set documentary sues
the producers of the doc.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Yes, Dan Schneider, who is the focus of the documentary,
responsible for many hit shows on Nickelodeon. I'm confused only
because he apologized and it seemed like a sincere apology
for his behavior and what have you. And now he's
suing the producer. So does that that sort of like
going back on your word?

Speaker 6 (15:25):
Right?

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Well, I guess he had second thoughts, but he should
have another thought because if you're gonna sue, that means
they'll be discovery when you go to trial, and there
could be more evidence that comes out and you can
get in more trouble. But yeah, you do you We'll
see Britty Spears finalizes her divorce.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Okay, that's okay, that chapter is closed.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
And Billie Eilish tickets and tour dates for her Big
World tour. You can find out all of that and
more olmria dot com.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
All Mario Lopez. Before I take off for the weekend,
I'm gonna give you the final word with our comment
from the week This is from at Krazazzi. They say,
all this time, I thought it was a good person
until I met someone walking too slowly in front of me. Well,
here's the deal. If they're senior folk, I have patience,
of course, that's that's that. You can't get mad at that.

(16:12):
If you do, then you're a jerk. But if they're
around your age, assuming you know, thirties, forties and fifties
or younger, ya all got to pick up the pace.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
What if they're fifty And then you realize after about
three minutes you got to turn around and stop and
wait because they are just way back behind you because
they walk much slower.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
I walk slow, you walk slower. Fast walk. You're not
blocking me.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
But the problem is I walk faster, so then I
realize I've surpassed you and have to wait.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
I usually am the one that's getting called out for
walking too fast, so maybe it's finally caught up with me.
All right, Mario Lopez coming up on I'm out of here,
full steam ahead into the weekend. I'm gonna be back
on Monday with stand up comic Preacher Loss and have
a great weekend for those who celebrate May the Fourth
be with you and with you
