Speaker 2 (00:27):
A Mario Courtney Lopez taking a quick trip back to
the eighties to celebrate Throwback Thursday. Best decade ever. Going
back to May ninth, nineteen eighty six, when love seemed
to be a major theme in an addiction for Robert Palmer,

(00:53):
music video is probably popped the other than the song itself.
You've known the music video, right, honey, I do.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
That's the black suits, women with the hair, lipstick. Yeah. Well,
and of course Whitney Houston turned love into a competition.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Is pa.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
That was I don't think I even need to say
the title. That was Whitney Houston The greatest love of
all little.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Rock band from Pasadena called Van Halen put a rock
spin of love. That's a great song. That, of course
is why can't this be loved? By Van Halen with
Sammy Hagar as the lead singer, who was not from

(01:45):
Pasadena but from Pokoima recently. So still in La Gaza
rasa rasa right here, we're talking about that for a while.
That's why he really got in tequila and he used
to go to Cobb all the time. But that's one
of the only bands that switch lead singers. And it
was still great and.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Everyone remembers this classic from the outfield.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Love this song.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
I love.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
That it was outfield with your love God. That one
just makes you just I don't know. Every time you
hear it, you just jam.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
You want to rock out?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yo, Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
What aut Mario Corney Lopez here? And Austin Powers has
got a whole new look. Honey. Look at this picture
of Mike Myers.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Oh wow, okay, different look?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Huh?

Speaker 2 (02:49):
What's weird?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
He looks the same except the white hair and the
beard like his the eyes, everything looks the same.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
But you had to, like you had to do a
double take, right If I didn't tell you those my.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
No, if you didn't tell me. I don't think.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
I think he's the host of a British cooking show.

Speaker 2 (03:05):

post it on the website. But my guy's a silver Fox.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
My son and I like that show.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yes you do it?

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Was it really good?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Is that the one dialogue or no? Too much talking?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
No, they do a lot of fighting. That's his favorite.
I'm gonna say, I think Rozarron about the same age.
I'm gonna say she is hitting the fifth level forty nine,
forty five. Oh, that's rude.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
But she's around for so long, so long, I assume
that she was. I thought she was a little older
as well.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
That's the only reason. Yeah. Billy Joel piano man who's
still very much touring and sounds great.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Billy, my first Billy Joel is seventy two.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Long Island's Billy Joel is seventy five.

Nice congratulations. I'm becoming a member of the Grand Ol Opry.
I've been there, Ashley. I'm happy to say it was
very very cool. That must have been a special night.

Speaker 6 (06:22):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
For me, I love country music and the Randall Opry
is pinnacle of country music.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
In my mind. All my heroes have been there, A
lot of.

Speaker 7 (06:30):
Them are members there, so to be deemed worthy of
joining the family means means a whole head.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
Of a lot too.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, bet it does well. The new album drops on
the tenth Rise and Fall. What's the significance of the title.

Speaker 7 (06:43):
You know, I just think it's life and I mean
it's a line in one of the songs on the
record follow Summer, But it's just thinking about this album
and how we made it, and you know, but it's
been a roller coaster of her career for me, starting
off on the biggest show in TV back in the day,
and then losing a record deal before we ever had
really any hits on the radio, and then you know,
figuring it back out and having six number ones in

(07:05):
a road now.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
So it's like the Rise in the Fall. You learn,
You learn through all.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
Of it, you know, and probably learn more through the
falls than you do even the risees. But couldn't have
made this record without all that.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
That's good for you.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, that's life, man, that's life. Makes it that much
sweeter though. Scotty McCreary on Zoom with us again. The
new album is Rise and Fall. Scotty, hang tight, quick breaking?
When to talk some more.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Or Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Mario Lopez here, getting back to Scotty McCreary, who's been
telling us all about his new album, Rise and Fall. Now.
The first single is cab In, a solo heartbreak song.
How'd that come about?

Speaker 6 (07:41):
Yeah, let's give a fun country song. We wrote up
on the back deck.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
In the mountains, North Carolina, around the fire at guitars.
It felt like the old days. But so I feel
like sometimes the best country songs are the sad ones,
you know. So it's a heartbreak song, but the way
it's written and the way the song plays out, you know,
I can't help and sing it with us mile every
night because it's so fun to play. But yeah, I'm
not going through heartbreak. I'm happily married for six years

(08:05):
now and got a little kid.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
But good for you.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah, yeah, you got to perform it recently on Idol, right.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
Yeah, I got to go back it was.

Speaker 7 (08:14):
It's always fun to go back there, and a lot
of the same producers are still there from when I
was on the show, so it's like a reunion every
time we get to go back there.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I bet, I bet in the original run. Was it
sort of surreal when it was happening?

Speaker 6 (08:28):
I don't. Yeah, yeah, for sure. I mean I was
I think sixteen one.

Speaker 7 (08:33):
I audition, and I mean the goal was always sing country,
but I figured I'd go to Nashville like everybody else
and figured it out. I was kind of on a
whim and didn't expect much to happen, but luckily they
kept me around and week.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
About a week, I was like, is this real life?

Speaker 1 (08:47):
You know?

Speaker 6 (08:47):
But it was pretty fun.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
I betman, all right, Scotti, Hank Tag gonna play a
few more songs and we're gonna have more with Scotty MCCARYO.
Mario Lopez got Scotti McCreary on Zoom. New album is
Rise and Fall, and there's another single called Lonely. Are
these sad songs cathartic to write? Or do you look
at them a sad songs or just more of a
slow jams?

Speaker 6 (09:10):
Yeah, I'll mean it's slow jams again.

Speaker 7 (09:12):
You know, it's it's sometimes just playing the role and
love of My favorite country songs are those heartbreak songs,
so and everybody can relate, you know, even if you're
not going through it in the moment.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
You can relate to it.

Speaker 7 (09:22):
But Lonely Loneli is like a six eight kind of
waltzy jam. It's haven't done a song like that before,
so hopefully people like it.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
You gonna be doing any tour in the summer.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
Yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
We just finished up my head on and thing first
few months of the year, and then we're out playing
a bunch of shows with a lot of folks this
summer or so.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
We'll be out there all right.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Well, olimar dot com to find out where you can
check out Scotty Live, Hank Tight, gonna have more with
Scotty McCreary coming up after a little more music. Wrapping
up with Scotty McCreary, who's been hanging on zoom with us.
Mario Lopez here and Scotty. I know you're a dad man.
Holds your boy now eight month Oh he's brand new,
eighteen months nice. It's fun.

Speaker 6 (10:04):
Huh. Yeah, he's the best.

Speaker 7 (10:06):
You know, it's the coolest thing I've ever done is
being his daddy, you know, just watching him grow up
and have his own little personnelity bounce.

Speaker 6 (10:13):
I'm loving it.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
It's the and it just gets better.

Speaker 1 (10:16):

Every eye popping celebrity look from the twenty twenty four

reacts to the fake AI iPhoto of her at the
met Gala.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Because of one viral If that fooled a lot of people,
I'm wondering if I can book certain gigs and just
send my AI and still reap the benefits.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
But how do you do it on personal?

Speaker 4 (11:12):
You don't even have to send an AI, it just
is there.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
What's there? I don't know. I'm hoping technology advances to
that point.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Yes, we are talking more about habit stacking.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
I am a fan of habit stacking.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
Habit stacking.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Habit stacking. This is, of course, when you knock out
two chores at ones, which is boom. I'm doing it
all the time. Say you're making some rice for dinner.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yep, you can hit a.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Quick walk while that cooks in the rice cooker.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
That'd be super quick because usually it's about a minute.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Well no, sometimes you rice can cook a longer.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
So don't do it if you're boiling in a pod
because it could boil over.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Yeah, you don't want to leave the fire on. Stand
on one leg while brushing your teeth to practice your balance.
That is habit stacking.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Or hit the squats or that.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
While drinking your coffee in the morning. Listen to an
educational podcast or watch educational videos. That is habit stacking.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
It is habit stacking.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
After you make your bed, do a quick meditation to
set the mood for the day. We made the bed
today and then did a different meditation.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Yes, I like that.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Fore, yeah, that's better for us. You can catch up
with a friend on the phone while folding laundry.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Well speaker and there you go.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Oh, and that is habit stacking. And after you brush
your teeth, do a quick set of twenty push up or.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Did the squat he's doing that? We get a full
body workout brushing your teeth. Right there. I like it.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
You're welcome habit stacking.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
More to come, Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. Music rolls on as we
quickly say congrats to Hillary Duff. She welcomed baby number
four on May third. I didn't even know she had
more than one. She's got four.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Over here.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Hillary shared the first photos ever little girl in ig
commenting on her quote perfect cheeks, and she actually revealed
the name. See, I like her town's meadow Bear. There's
got to be a backstory to that.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
I hope so well. We just shared Hillary's post in
our stories. You could hit us up at on with
Mario Lopez on Instagram to check that out and make
sure you click follow to join the fam.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Mario Courney Lopez always looking for a reason to celebrate?
What is today's obscure holiday?

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Honey, Today is National Moscato Day.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Hey for those not familiar, tell them what moscato is.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Well, moscato or muscat in Italian is one of the
oldest known varieties of grapes grown in the world.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, it's basically like a really sweet wine and I'm
sure it's delicious in Italy. Here at all, Mario on
X and Facebook at all, Mario Lopez on IG. Those
are just a few of the ways you can get
in touch with us. We love hearing from you, Mario
and Courtney Lopez here. We also love getting your questions

(14:51):
and comments. Who slid into our DMS today?

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Honey, this is from at Reuben Sisto six and they said, Row,
that tattoo of your autograph isn't bad. My homie who
love comedy has legit got George Lopez's face on his shin.
Now that's a real tat too, regret or it should be.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
I'm not gonna argue with your rubin.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
So you said he liked comedy, Oh he must have
a big shin, dude.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Seriously, George Lopez's head is huge, is record breaking massive.
He used to have a contest, Well it wasn't a
real contest, but he would tell people in part of
his act if anybody out here has a bigger head
than me, I'll give you like free drinks for the night.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
So you'd have these big old dudes.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
No one ever beat him, No one.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Ever beat him, the ones I saw overever beat him.
So that part was funny, so we measured it. You'd
have these big team.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Makes fun of it himself.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Oh, because it's got I mean, I don't know how
he wouldn't. Yeah, exactly, I mean it goes from shoulder
to shoulder.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Mario Lopez will be right.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Back, keeping the music coming your ways and quickly put
a spotlight on my wife Mario Lopez. Here a time
for Courtney's random thought.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Why are these spiders called daddy long legs? Why don't
we just call them long legs? Like, why do we
call them daddy Because it's the.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Male spiders who have the long legs, not the females,
hence daddy. What do the females look like, Yeah, they
have little short legs. They're like me legs.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Yes, yes, mammy's short legs.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
By the way, I completely made that up, but it
sounded good at all. Ma Maria Lopez on ig that's
where to find us. Catch up on everything from the
show behind the Scenes pigs both in the studio and
just found about living our lives.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
New caption contest up there too. Funniest comment gets a
follow back from Mario, so hit us up at them
with Mario from the tailpez on ig and make sure
you click follow to join the fammo.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Courtney Lopez quickly squeezing in Courtney's random question, what do
you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (16:53):
If you were forced to be the subject of a
celebrity roast and could choose three of the roasters to
roast you, who would you choose?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
First of all, I would never be the subject of
a celebrity roast because I told you Mexicans don't play
like that.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
I believe you were being forced.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
It would be on and popping. He would I want
to fight someone right away. The irony is you grow
up getting roasted by your parents, your siblings, your buddies.
But those are people that love you and people that
are close to you, and I can take that from
my body.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
I don't need a ceremony.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I don't need some random person I've never met trying
to roast me. I'll be like, you don't know me
like that, and not trying like a comedian. No, no, no,
that would be awesome. Nor would I even attend one
because you're not safe. You can get an attack like
kim Ka.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
And so is it a compliment to be asked to
get roasted?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
It's theoretically it's supposed to be. So it's brutal unless
my boy Matt Wrive's going to roast me, because they
try to have him roast me a little bit yesterday
one and he called me. He started off with something,
so I'm talking to the Mexican rob low right here.
I said that that's not me. I mean, I go.
You can roast me all you want, you can runs
me all you want, but no, I am not a

(18:04):
fan of that. But if I gunned to head, had
to do it, Okay, I'll choose Matt right because he
kills you. The compliments two more outside of maybe like
I couldn't have my wife or somebody right out.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Oh okay, you can pick three people.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
People have been roasting me my whole life, my mom
and then my wife and my sister. That's it.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
See, I think your mistake is you're picking funny people.
I would pick the least funny people I know.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
So you're from blanket.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
More fun on the way On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
So if you love concerts and comedy shows and our
latest sweepstakes is for you, You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

of course on Sunday, unless you're Latin, because I actually
grew up celebrating it on Friday, May tenth. Correct, it's
a Mexican Mother's a Mexican Mother's Day, you have to
do two. Not really, I did like a two for
one because like, hey, come on, I only got one mom.

(19:45):
So I was like, mom, tomorrow and Sunday. Yes, but
you get better deals at restaurants if you go on
if you celebrate on a Mexicano Mother's Day, right, it's
not as packed.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
It can be cheap anyway.

Speaker 2 (19:56):

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Sure, candle warming lamp. If mom loves candles, this will
help make her candles last longer.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Oh, right on, that's another clever little deal.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
An audible subscription seemingly infinite audiobooks, podcast and audible originals.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
If Mom's got long drives that could work out real well.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
