Speaker 1 (00:00):
On with Mario. Little bit Mario Lopez joining me now
in studio from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Kyle Rocherds.
How are you, Kyle? I'm great? How are you? I'm well,
Thank you for coming by. So you've been on the show?
How long? Now? It feels like you are You're one
of the O g s. Right, yep, that's right. Lisa
vander Pump and I are the last the last of

(00:21):
the whatever, the last girl standing? Yeah, exactly. So how
many seasons is that? This is the ninth season? Wow,
that's admirable, crazy, right, Yeah, you just saying my little
girl Porstra has no memory of you know, has no
memory of her life before the TV show. So she
was a baby, so she doesn't know what life's like
without camera. She thinks everyone's on a TV show. Right
when she was little, she was like, what show are

(00:42):
they on? Real? So? How has it? I'm always fascinated
because you know going into these shows that there's a
certain level of drama and that's what makes the appeal.
So do you now not let it get so personal
or did you ever or is it sort of like

(01:03):
a tough balance even still nine seasons in well, the
thing is, it's like you know, because I can imagine
it's taxing, it's exhausting, and it's completely exhausting. But I
mean what it is that you know, we're there to
be honest and to speak our mind. So with that,
you know, comes drama because you know you made you know,
to say to your friends sometimes I can't believe someone

(01:24):
so such a launch, you know or something, but now
you have to say, you know, why were you? So
you know, you have to be open and honest so
that the audience can be a fly on the wall,
and it creates a lot of drama and a lot
of anxiety. That's what's sort of a trip about this
whole Bravo world because who's that whether we had in
here not that long ago, that gosh, that whole thing

(01:48):
the last few days is hilarious. And then I had
and then I had just a little bit before. So
just because I just had her and then I knew Fitty,
I was like so into that what is going on
off the exactly exactly, but I had not known because
forgive me, I'm not familiar with the shows, but I
had not known. Like she puts it out there, she's
but I didn't miscuse. I think that nice word. But

(02:10):
she she's she puts out and I was like, damn,
I wish I would have known that before interviewed her.
I had never seen the show either, and then I
was like, well, now I'm kind of curious. And then
I had to like start looking, and then I was like,
I was really wrapped up in that whole thing. I'm
not gonna lie. That was getting the money Monday, the
money and shamed that was that was just bad in

(02:30):
the whole PJ. I was just damn. But that's celebrated
in that Bravo world, which is a trip to me,
Like that celebrated. I mean, that's a big hit, that show,
that particular show, Like what she said and all of that,
Like my gosh, I mean, and we're like, you got
to be kidding. That's my point. But she's not suffering
any consequences. On the contrary, she's got like a million followers.

(02:53):
She said that's fastest. She must have an enormous amount
of anxiety after that. After saying that and seen herself,
that has to hit her, you would think, but no
one with it. But I think she she gives zeros.
She embrases it, and that's just sort of I'm just
kind of sitting back. I'm like, wow, and it's sort
of a truth to see all that. But they were
if they weather this storm, maybe they're going to do

(03:15):
well because that for them to go through that, because
I'm surprised for surviving that, that's a couple. So so
let's talk about housewives, of course. But first I saw
you on social media at the Billy Idol and Boy
George concert, which seem like, go badass, but you weren't happy.
Why did you leave in a bad mood? Oh? No,
I left her. I had an argument with p K
Dorrit's husband said something that was offense offensive to me.

(03:38):
But the concert was amazing Boy Jorge, I mean I
grew up listening to them and watching them as my idol,
so I was like completely blown away to be with
both of them in the same room. It was crazy,
but yeah, it was you know, Pak said something that
was rude, so well anyone, And is it true you
haven't talked to Lisa vander Pump about eight months? Yeah, exactly.

(03:58):
So what was the genesis? This is something about a dog, right,
somebody's dog and the dog died or what was No
dog died, No, the dog was Dorite adopted a dog
from Vanderbump Dog. She adopted a dog from Vanderpump Dogs.
And the dog didn't work out. It was nipping and
you know, it bit her kids and pian nose or something.

(04:20):
So it didn't work out. So she gave what she
found she thought was a loving home to someone else.
Um and then um she she ended up telling Lisa
and they talked about it and she knew. But then
the dog ended up at Vanderpump Pets the Vandomum Dogs,
her charity. So anyway, it became the whole thing because
you know, obviously they didn't want that out there because

(04:41):
you know, animal rights people can get and doing these
so such good friends. But when we went to go
to vander from Dogs on camera, the dog was brought
out to us and the story like came out like that,
and it was so then it became like, you know,
Lisa had them bring the dog out and she said, no,
I didn't, but you know nobody believed that spilled all
over you guys, Yeah, it's filled all over whatever. So

(05:02):
then and then it became then the story came out
and right online then Team Z it's like, you give this,
so it just became up on the snowball. So that happens.
Let's see that. That makes for fascinating television. So looking
back on the argument in hindsight, is there anything that
you think would have prevented it from escalating to that point? Well,

(05:25):
from from my part with Lisa, you know what happened,
um and I went to her house to tell her
what the women were saying. Because when you're in reality
television and you're not open and you know everything on
the table, you know it's going to air in six months,
and then someone's gonna say, well, why didn't you give
me heads up? But why didn't you tell me? So
I went and told Lisa what was being said, and

(05:47):
the whole thing sort of blew up. And I honestly
think the only way it could have been different is
if Ken we're not there, and because Ken got very
upset and escalated to a very bad point. Yeah, and
you know, I adored them both, you know, you know
for years, you know, we've been close, and I just
think it would have been different if it was just
two women talking it out. And I think we could

(06:08):
have gotten to a place of agree to disagree or
whatever it was. But it just he was so angry
and just you know, got in my face and it
was a shock game. So has that changed the dynamic
with all you ladies, Well, yes, because after that moment,
Lisa stopped filming with all of us. Oh wow, So
I got to that point. Yeah, I got to that point. Um,

(06:29):
and some of the other ladies are like, well, I
don't understand, Like I didn't have a fight with her,
what's going on here? But um, so she's sort of
self exiled herself. Yeah, exactly. Interesting and where are we now,
both personally in storyline wise the same. That's the personal
is what the show is because they're documenting everything. So yeah,
so I haven't seen her since that day that Ken

(06:50):
told me to get out of the house. Really is
she planning to come back to the next season. I
don't know. I don't know. I mean, I really have
no idea at this point. I don't even know she'll show.
But the reunion, you know, that's what people keep asking,
But I don't. I don't know. All the reunions. Yes,
let's get contentious, because let's get like three days and
and it's like that it's like an interrogation, are they not?

(07:12):
Because I like sometimes they take like a couple of days.
You know, it's it's three episodes. You know, typically it's
like two to three episodes. But were there, like in
cocktail a dresses from like six am with foll hair
making to like eight pm just being grilled the entire dime.
That's always funny to be too. You are, y'all are
decked out. That's the last thing you want to be

(07:34):
to going into that whole situation. Yeah, that's so. That's wow.
So okay, So if she does not come back, well
I guess it's we have to sort of wait and
see how that ends up planning out. Now, one thing
I did happen to see on TV was Camille Grammar
was getting into an argument I believe at the time
obviously this was taped well back, um regarding the whole

(07:57):
Cabina situation with Christine Blaussi Ford, and that was like
a real that was a real legit argument, right, it
all is legit? Yeah, unfortunately, and so what what came
of that? You know? It was so you know I
and I said in seeing you know, my mom always
told me never discussed politics, religion or talk about sex
at at a dinner table. So I was just like,

(08:17):
it seems like perfect fodder for this. Oh no, for sure.
But I was like, I'm not touching this one with
a temple pole. I was just shoveling food in my
mouth the whole time. Um. But yeah, I mean obviously
we had, you know, two very strong difference of opinions
there and only Serena and you know, to make matters worse,
Lisa Anda's mom had been attacked before, and she went

(08:40):
on to um talk about that how she was actually
attacked by a serial killer and you know, she was
hit with a hammer and I mean it was a
whole thing, and he went on, she escaped him, he
went on to murder people. So I was like, she
was super passionate about it, and you know, how do
you not believe the victim? And it was like, oh
my god. And then Camille Star crying. I think she
got scared, thinking what did I just say on camera?
What kind of clash am I gonna get for this? Right? Right?

(09:02):
So did that ever get resolved or did she feel
vindicated when they still stand their ground, really still stand
their ground? Interesting slippery slope though, when you start saying
believe all women, because people lie, and sometimes those people
are women, And sometimes you don't want to be in
a situation. I know you have daughters, but at the
same time, if you had a son, I'm sure you
would agree that you don't necessarily if he's in a

(09:24):
vulnerable position. I actually have that conversation a lot with
my friends who have only sons, and I say, I
would be so worried as a mom of boys right now.
It would be really scary time to be a mother
of boys. You know, um, right now, everyone's like, you know,
you know, protecting the women, and you know, it's like,
you know, women power girls, but this boys get me vulnerable,

(09:45):
and this these situations and be you know, you have
one girl who you know, maybe have a crush, and
you know girls used to do stuff like this, you know,
growing up of boys, boys and girls, they'd make up things.
It's scary. I'd hate to be in the received. And
so that's why I was like, I'm not talking about
any of this. I'm a mother of daughters. I can respect,
you know, both sides. Case in point, your girl La
La can't. That's how she got in trouble. With yeah,

(10:07):
try to click to be two and brought it all
the way back. That's when it started. Oh my god,
how Denise been on the show? Because I've no Denise
for a long time from back in the day we
worked together. We were kids too. How is that change
the elements act. She's been great, you know, she's been
a great addition. Um, I adore her and she It's

(10:28):
so funny because you know, she always said she was
a fan of the show, and you know, I remember
years ago doing Watch Happens Live with her and she's
like a fan of the Real House was at Beverly Hills,
but when she came out, he was like a deer
cott in the headlights. She honestly, there's times that we
would be like arguing the Bahamas and I would look
over and she was just watching, and I was like,
do you need a bull of popcorn? Like you too

(10:48):
know that you're actually on the show, not watching the show.
She was just like, improv skills, be on point, you
could like go to the groundlings right now. She was
just in shock because she's like and then she goes
worst craft services like reality television, what you see is
what you get. Craft services, So funny. She really did

(11:09):
not know what she was getting herself into. I bet,
I bet is she on board for the next season?
I mean I don't know right now. You know that
hasn't been discussed yet. None of that's been discussed. Okay,
she's been great, you know what. It was great because
she didn't know any of the women. And when this
all happened at Lisa vander Pump, she could be you know,
neutral and you know, sort of go and try to
speak to her and help help to piece things back

(11:32):
together and stuff. So um, you know, not that it worked.
At least she's trying. How many seasons? Um, would you
like to do the show? If if if given choice?
Or do you see yourself? I mean you want to
go to distance. I don't know what the distance is
because I, like my daughter said, do we do this

(11:54):
show until everybody dies? Like she asked me that when
she was like four or five years old, and I
was like, well, she doesn't know about ratings and getting
picked up. To her, this is just her life. So um,
you know, I think when it's not fun anymore and
when the bad ewaghs the good is the only way
I'm going to be able to gauge, and sometimes it's
so stressful and you just think this is just not

(12:14):
fun anymore. Like I need I need to be able
to go home at the end of the day and
you know, be a mom to my four daughters and
be a great wife and you know, do all the
other things that my projects and working on I can't
be you know, having panic attacked and anxiety every day.
But we still do have a lot of fun doing
the show when we're shooting it. I just don't like
when it's on the air. That's another thing, because you

(12:34):
don't know how it's gonna be edited either. Right. Well,
it's more and more so than that, it's the things
that women say behind your back. Um, and it's and
even more so than that even is social media and
all this, you know, Team Kyle, Team Lisa, team you know,
it's like it's just too much. And I know it
seems stupid, but they get so aggressive, and the Housewives

(12:56):
fans are so passionate. They're like crazy sports fans and
they're just you know, I mean people who have done
you know, Denise Richards and Lisa Brenda, they've been you know,
the public eye. They're like, oh my gosh, these people
are really intense. They take it so seriously and you
know they're so invested so that and they love to

(13:17):
you know, spill the gasoline and throw a match in
all the time. And it really does get the cast
worked up. Really certain cast members really look at Twitter
and the gauge. That's probably the worst advice I would
give to anyone. You know. They do and they're like, oh,
so the people are mad at about this. I'm only
gonna throw this out there. How could you do this?
I'm like, oh, my god, with all this, it sounds

(13:39):
like a lot of torture. My god, Well that's good.
You're still having fun so far. Yeah, we do have
a lot of fun. You've got four daughters. How do they?
My youngest is eleven, and then I have nineteen twenty
two and my eldest and thirty. Wow, I had Aye
as a teenager. So it's my disclaimers truth though to

(14:00):
kill about having a milf as a mom, I mean,
it's so weird, weird when I look at her, because
we'll be out and people be like, you know, they
think we're a friend or this isn't because it is
really crazy and just she's a woman and I'm like,
how did I How do I have a child that age?
We have our thirtieth birthday on the show this season.
Actually her birthday on Halloween, so every year we threw
a Farah wheen because her name is Sarah so and

(14:21):
there's a lot of drama goes down to her at
her thirtieth birthday. But she did not want at all.
She didn't want the cameras there. I'm like, can they
just come for a little bit because they don't like
what we're having this big party and they can't be
a part of it. So yeah, sorry, s all right
before I let you go and put you on the
spot with questions, answer, Oh great, go to karaoke song?
Oh anything Bonnie rate? Oh country girl? Okay? Yeah? Last

(14:44):
movie saw in theaters? Oh my gosh, a kid's movie. Um,
I forgot what was? It was an animated film that
wasn't animated, but there was just something recently. I mean,
it wasn't that recently. I don't go out that often,
believe it or not. Yeah, because you have buses, you
want to just chill at home. Exactly. Celebrity crush growing up.

(15:05):
Celebrity crush growing up was Tom Cruise that became Mark
Ruffalo as I got older. Now I just don't ever
say because I'm scared people are gonna think I'm after
their husbands. I'm like, I don't want to say anymore. Okay,
biggest pet peeve lies favorite Housewives cast after Beverly Hills,

(15:26):
UM New York in Atlanta. I don't know, I like,
I like them all. It's really hard to say. I do.
I do the O C girls, and I know I
know the girls. I know that New York girls and
friends of Bethany for many years. And Atlanta is always fun.
So I guess probably right now, i'd say, O C
in New York. How many are there right now? O C,

(15:46):
New York, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Potomac, that Potomac. I actually
have not seen Potomac, but oh no, Dallas. It is
like the NFL. They expand scratch your teams all over
the place. Yeah, exactly. If you were going to the chair,
what would your last meal be? For some reason, I

(16:07):
think about this often. I mean I put a lot
of thought into this. Um, I would have to be
um pasta, a very big bowl of pasta with like
a regular coke, not diet okay, and uh a chardonnay
and some butter, I mean some bread with olive oil.

(16:29):
All right, fair enough. Last question, if they are making
the Kyle Richards film, who would you cast to play you? Um?
I would have to Well, people used to compare me
to Demi Moore all the time, and now people always
compare me to this Casey Musgrave. So maybe I'll go
to me's older than me. I'll go with Casey because
she's a sweetheart. I used just messaged me on Instagram

(16:53):
and she said, Hi, Twin is really kid. That's so funny.
I think you mentioned I was at Coachell and I
like tagged in and she wrote that. My people keep saying,
wait a minute, rewind you were at Coachella, and that
sounds like the last place I would want to go, right,
I'm saying, I'm like the I've gotten to the point.
I'm like that dad like, hey, get off my lawn cut,
explaining I have explained to do for someone who doesn't

(17:15):
go out a lot in l A, which is true.
I don't. I started going to Coachella since the second
Coachella because one of my close friends owns the property
that they have it on so she was incited me
and we used to like, you know, go around on
the golf carts. It was a different thing then. And
then as you know that, I took some Coachella's off
to you know, have a baby, breastfeed this, and and
then it became my kids wanted to go, I had to,

(17:37):
and then I had to, you know, be a chaperone.
And we have a house right across from Coachella in
the desert, so all now it's the party house where
everyone comes and stays. And we walked through the back
and go, so I mean, I can't not go and
all my friends go, so that I got a lot
of heat for it though, you know, like you're too
old to be there. But there's people even older than
me there. I'm like, leave me alone. There's people babies,
babies there. If you're rolling like that, then yes, dull. Meanwhile,

(18:02):
y'all watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Tuesday's on
Bravo and you can follow her on Instagram at Kyle
Richards eighteen. Thanks for stop, Bye, thank you. With Mario
