(01:26):
and in Sunday, New York. That was Jack Quiz, Trey Songs,
Mario was supposed to be August Outseen and Tory Lanes,
but they didn't pull up to the the Long Island
when I'm sure you'll break down why a little bit later.
But there was an incident here in Chicago. The Yeah,
just a low incident, so I'm sure we'll break that down.
But that was my weekend all over the place. And
then of course my giants won over the weekend. Drop
(01:47):
a bomb for the Giants two and oh, drop a
bomb for them. No, listen, Eddie, you're a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
You and not required to drop any bombs for the
New York Giants. Yeah, okay, all right. Yeah, and as
the Dallas cow Boy fan, I reserve your right to
not drop a bomb for the New York Giants. Okay, okay, okay.
Sleuth to everybody too. I saw at the HBCU Classic
(02:10):
over the weekend. Man, I went to the HBCU Classic
on Saturday. Yeah, sleuth to my guy. But card Sellers
a happy born DAYA but card Sellers yesterday was his
born day. You know, he's a more house man. So
he was at the game on Saturday. He was on
a game. I mean, Howard wipe. They asked what I mean,
Jesus Christ. It was like dirty something nothing or something.
(02:32):
It's gracious. Yeah. It was like every time I would
look up, especially in the second half, Howard was scoring something.
So but you know, all right, Suth, Howard a more
house All right, All HBCUs out there. Now. We got
some special guests joining us this morning. Ari Lennox will
be joining us. Yes, we do. She has a new
album out called Age Sex and Location has been out
for about a month now, right, a couple of weeks.
This is our first time on the Breakfast Club always
(02:53):
never been on Breakfast Club before. Yes, and also the
women from Woman King is Joining Us today. Of course
that movie was out over the weekend. Yeah, it did,
like nineteen million dollars. Yeah, my mom's and pops went
to go see it on Friday. They they went out there.
They were kind of upset why they were saying, Um,
my parents are old school. They was like, you know,
(03:15):
when we go to white movies, you know, we see
black people supporting white movies. But there was like, when
when we go to black movies, we never see white
people coming out to support our movies. Well, stop going
to support white movie. He said, I'm going to see
white movie. But by the way, we shouldn't even look
at it like that. Though a movie should be a movie.
Is it an entertaining plot? You know, it is an
(03:35):
entertaining concept. Are the people you want to see in
the film. But my parents were like, yes, it was entertaining,
It was great. It was everybody was like, you know
that they never see anybody outside about race supporting our movies.
He was kind of upset about a lot of movies
that I love that have majority white counts. I don't
look at him as white movies. I don't look at
like I don't look at good fellas and say, oh,
this is a white movie. It's just a great movie,
you know, but I get it now. But all right,
(03:57):
well they'll be joining us this morning. Yes, by old
Day is the director, Gina Price Blood and I do
not want to mess up the other sisters name. What
is to Brandon? We got Brandon in here. He's from
Ghana and can't pronounce that the damn she was from Ghana.
(04:18):
You don't not have pronounced it being a South African.
You don't want to pronounce it. Hr that is, that's
so disrespectful. All right, well, let's get the show cracking
front page news. What we're talking about President Joe Biden.
He was on the CDs is sixteen minutes and Wenna
tell you some of the things that he had to
say regarding inflation, if he's gonna run again and so on.
All right, we'll get into that next. It's the Breakfast Club.
Come morning. Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy.
(04:41):
We are to Breakfast clublet's getting some front page news now.
Congratulations to the Vegas Aces. They beat the Southern seventy
eight seventy one w NBA, so congratulations to them. Dropping
the clues bombs for South Carolina's own Asia Wilson and
the Las Vegas Asis w NBA Final champions. That is
the first time that a championship has been bought to
(05:02):
Las Vegas any major sport. Okay, well, congratulations to them.
And in NFL the Patriots beat the Steelers seventeen fourteen,
the Giants beat the Panthers two and oh, Jaguars beat
the Coats, Buccaneers beat the Saints forty nine Is beat
the Seahawks, Cardinals beat the Raiders, Cowboys beat the Bengals barely,
Jets beat the Browns. What a comeback? The Dolphins beat
the Ravens, Lines beat the Commanders, Rams beat the Falcons,
(05:25):
Broncos beat the Texans, and the Packers beat their bears.
All right. In Monday Night Football, the two games, all right?
The Titans take on the Bills and the Eagles take
on the Vikings. I saw the King, I saw you
fix and say, the Cowboys barely beat the Bengals. How
much did they beat the Bengals by sir? At one point?
I believe how much points? How much did the Giants
beat the pants boy? Sir? Same thing? All rightthing, shut up?
(05:47):
Shut up, shut up. Giants winners a win. I'm gonna
see you next Sunday. We should play, we should beat
one or something. I wouldn't bet that's gonna be the
very low scoring game. I can tell you that much.
To find schoo will be like fifteen to twelve. Well,
we'll see as long as the giants and what else
we got easy? All right? Well, Joe Biden was on
(06:08):
sixteen minutes, and among the things he talked about, he
says the pandemic is over, and he did acknowledge the
US TILL has a problem with the virus, but he said,
we're still doing a lot of work on it, but
the pandemic is over. In addistance to that, he talks
about whether or not he's planning to run for president again. Sir,
are you committed to running again or are there certain
(06:29):
conditions that have to be right? Look, if I were
to say to you I'm running again, all of a sudden,
the whole range of things come into play that I
have requirements I have to change and move and do
in terms of election, in terms of election loss, and
this much too early to make that kind of decision.
I'm a great respect of fate. And so what I'm
doing is I'm doing my job. We're going to do
(06:50):
that job and within the time frame that makes sense
after this next election cycle here going in the next year,
making judgment of what to do. I take it the
decision has been made in your own head. My intention,
as I said to begin with, is that I would
run again. But it's just an intention, but it's an
affirmed decision that I've run again. That manage to be seen.
(07:12):
That's a very nuanced answer. That's why don't understand why
the headline is some of the headlines I saw was
Joe Biden says he's gonna run again in twenty twenty four.
That's not what I got from that. Not that his
intention is to run, but he doesn't know yet, all right.
In addition, he talked about inflation and what's going on
with the economy. Last Tuesday, the annual inflation rate came
in at eight point three percent. What can you do
(07:35):
better and faster? Inflation rate month to month was just
a niche hardly at all. You're not arguing that eight
point three is good news. No, I'm not saying it
is good news. It's the highest inflation rate. Mister president
in forty years. I got that. But guess what we are.
We're in a position where for the last several months
it hasn't spiked. The fact is that we've created ten
(07:58):
million new jobs, where since we came to office, we're
in a situation where the unemployment rate is about three
point seven percent, one of the lowest in history. Mass
massive investments being made in computer chips and and employment.
So this is a process. He can quote all the numbers,
all the numbers you want, but you can feel it outside. Okay, Yeah,
(08:18):
the rent is too damn high. The rent is too high,
all right. Gas is high, food is high. Things are high.
So you can quote all those numbers you want. It's
bad out here. Like I said, it's the highest and
forty years, and you can feel it. Well, there's a
lot more to that, but that is your front page news,
all right, get it off your chest. Eight hundred five
(08:39):
five one oh five one. If you need to vent,
hit us up right now. How was your weekend? Let
us know, was it good? Was it bad? We'll vent
right now. Eight hundred five five one five one is
the breakfast club. Go morning, the breakfast Club, Wake up,
wake up, you're time to get it off your chest.
(09:01):
We want to hear from you on the restflace bus. Hello,
who's this all right? This name Chris mcgetting off your
chess mother? All right. So I was listening to y'all
earlier and I was like, okay, the inflation. Okay. So
in the beginning of March, right, I lost everything to
a house fire. I was in the hospital for a
few weeks, and I got out of the hospital right
(09:22):
around the inflation. So I went from playing fourteen hundred
for a two bed room apartment to happen to downbreak
to a one bedroom apartment, and now I'm paying nineteen seventy. Yeah,
it's super high for one bedroom apartment. And I got
two kids. Man, reading super high? Read it two damn.
Everything on for business owners, if you're trying to find
(09:43):
a warehouse is just everything is just super duper high.
Even interest rates. If you're trying to buy a car,
I never seen interest rates that high. Right, then more
from putting gas in your card like once every three days,
so now you're putting it in your car twice sometimes
like today, depending on your commute. Horrible, Yeah, no, it is.
We need more money over here than than over there.
(10:04):
I agree with you wholeheartedly. When I'm telling you man
two pocketed on the head when he said they got
money for war but can't feed the pull on, who's
this renee to get it off your chest, bastool's driver?
I mean the fast food places like McDonald's and stuff
like that, if they've got added fiction not be working
in public get They get mad when you don't give
(10:27):
him a cash tipp And I'm like, you're taking my
order at McDonald's. Come on, now, you want to tip?
The tip is, go to school and get a different job.
Oh wait a minute, I didn't know. I didn't know
fast food workers get tipsy. I never tipped a fast
food working. They expected to. They said, where's my tips?
I said, what you mean? The tip is? You know,
keep taking orders. Boy, you're gonna get your chicken nuggets spitting,
(10:51):
you know what. That's why I'm having to start eating
ballads and making them at That's right. I'm trying to
have a bless and medicated day. That's right. You know,
wondering the other day, why don't we we tip flight attendants?
They bring you, they bring you something to drink, they
bring you your nuts or your your little cookies. Why
don't we ever tip them? I don't know. Maybe they
(11:13):
don't make really great money. And I mean the amount
that we're paying plane tickets. You know what I'm saying,
keeps them employed. They're walking back and forth all day long. Yeah,
but the amount we're paying plane tickets, they go to
take that service charge out of that goodness Okay, yeah,
you're not even allowed to give them any money. And
they don't even use cash for anything. Now on the flight, No,
get it off your chest. Eight hundred five A five
(11:34):
one oh five one. If you need to vent, hit
us up now. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the
Breakfast Club. Car show brother. I tell everybody, don't if
you give me something to give to somebody if they're
not gonna get it, Because I'm usually working. I was
in the middle of my cash. Do you remember that
I gave you one for you as you and Charlomagne
I do not remember. You don't remember next time you
(11:55):
got a pinch his butt and say, hey, get out
to Charlomagne for me. He'll remember that. Look, look and
give it to my daughters. There was three books I delivered.
The three books. You just gotta remember me, I put
stuff on you like I'm come back to like nads.
Now I'm saying, hey, I got something fun. You just
don't pull the gun only remember, Oh my god, you
know that's not gonna work. So especially what's what's your name?
(12:16):
And what's the name in the book? So people are
listening to the name Terry carmike on the name of
the book was real? Excuse my friend's the neighbor of
the book. Okay, now I don't I don't remember, bro,
I get you know what. When I'm doing my car shop,
people give me a bunch of things and I usually
give them to my daughter and my daughter brings them back.
But I haven't seen that book. So I mean, if anything,
if you want to send something to me and Charlemagne,
(12:37):
I would send. They say send it to the station, though,
so how can I send that? We don't put you
on home and give you the address to mail an address?
All right? Cool? Would you better send it soon? Hold on,
I don't know how much longer we're gonna be at
this location. Don't get it as going out? Okay, all right, bro,
I don't know how much longer we're gonna be at
this location. You know, people do that all the time.
They give me something, but I'm in the middle of
a car shot a party. I'm not gonna remember to
bring that stuff back. Hello, who's this Aunonymous? Okay, animus,
(13:03):
get it off your chests. Well, um, I was dating
this girl for two years and then um, I had
to trust fund. I never told her about it, and
she left good for some guy who was rich at
that time. And the uh um, I finally have access
to the trust fund. Now I'm a million year She
want to get back. I told her no, and I'm
(13:26):
so happy that I got to bullet. So, yeah, how
much is your trust for work? I don't believe this story.
I have no reason to lie. Solomon, Yes, how much?
Uh wait, what do you say? How much is it worth?
Trust fund? Three? Three million? Were you calling from Unanimous too?
I know a lot of people saw. I wouldn't want
(13:46):
to put who left, who left you to? Who left you?
To trust fun? Oh my dad? Okay, what do you
do for a living? I don't have to say it,
but I just want to say that I just got
your bullet. That's the only you want to call that.
So if you're calling anonymous to say this to about
this girl. She don't even know who you are. That
is true. I don't like I don't want people to know.
(14:06):
That's the whole point. So what's the point of the
phone call? You just wanted to just let us est Yep,
I just wanted to get that off my chest. And
I don't want to friends them, family to know, you know.
I just want to stay low key about it. Okay,
what you want to do with the money, I don't
even know yet. Um it cameras as a prize. So yeah,
(14:30):
I don't even know what I'm gonna do with it. Okay,
have a good days. How old are you? Twenty three? Okay, Well,
do the right thing. May get you a financial advisor
to help you, you know, properly manage that money. Yeah,
go to a couple of financial advisor, see which see
which one is the best one. Don't don't just go
to one and do your homework before you give anybody money.
There's so many, uh get rich quick schemes or double
(14:52):
your money schemes. Just go to somebody reputable and take
your time. You got time. You ain't gotta rush nothing,
right right right? Man? Well appreciate it, man, Thank you
guys so much. Yes, sir, I don't believe that. Star.
I just want to throw that out there. I think
that was the bull face life. Get it all. If
your chest eight hundred five eight five, one oh five one.
If you need to vent, you can hit us up. Now.
We got rooms on the way. Yes, and let's talk
(15:13):
about fifty cent. He has parted ways with Stars. We'll
give you some more details, all right, we'll get into that.
Next is the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the breakfast Club.
This is the rumor report with Angela years Well, it
(15:35):
looks like fifty cent is not re upping his deal
at lions Gate. Now. He did a series of posts
on social media. Um and that's also with Stars, lions
Gate and Stars, but he apparently is leaving. It's been
seven years since he launched the Power franchise, which has
been huge for Stars. But now he is owning his
(15:56):
own content. He said September seventeen, twenty twenty two, official
day of really owning my content and deciding where and
how I do it moving forward. This is my vibe
right now. Stars deal done. We had nothing but success,
so no hard feelings. I'm out. I'll let you know
where we are going shortly and then he also said
shout out to BT I won Hustler of the Year.
No one from the culture has had success in television production.
(16:18):
I have twenty five shows now and I've made some
big deals away from TV. I'm out of my deal
at Stars, so congratulations to him. And Deadline did confirm
that that deal has not been renewed. Well, Star is
supposed to back that brink trucks up and make that work.
But there are a lot of other platforms that fit with.
Fifty is doing more now than than Star does, especially
(16:40):
right now and this this era like that. That deal
was like with five six years ago, so it made
since then. But moving forward, there's there's there's probably other
platforms that can maximize with the empire that fifty is built.
He has so much on his plate that's coming through
this pipeline. It's going to be ridiculous from it's just
a lot. He got a lot, he'll he'll announce it
him show. I can't wait to hear where he's going.
And last year Campo, he worked on Power with, also
(17:04):
did not re up her deal and she went to
Netflix and so she's not there either since the last year.
All right, now, fifty cent is also suing, and that
is a med spy that said he had well, they
didn't say he had penis enhancement, but apparently there was
a lot of pictures from Perfection Plastic Surgery and met
Spy where they were talking about penis enhancement and a
(17:26):
picture of fifty cent was using. They were using a
picture of fifty cent with her, and so people were
assuming that fifty cent actually had this surgery. And so
now he's suing because people think that he got penole enhancement.
He don't play about his likeness if I don't know
if y'all guys figured it out not, but he don't
play about his likeness or anything that he owns. No,
y'all skip him past the real conversation. What is penole enhancement? Exactly?
(17:49):
What did they? What did they do you? What did
he do? Like? What did like girl flink for? What
happened to? Think? You should make a phone call, man,
Maybe I might. I might get a consultation. Not not
that I want it. I just want to see what
they do. You know, all these women out having all
this fun with these baby else you know who Angela Cogan,
(18:12):
the woman from the med spot. So if you want
us to set it up for you, we can definitely do.
Oh fifty just named you in the lawsuit too. You
you you you gotta come to he just do you
in it. I never posted the photo, but you know,
you do take a picture with somebody and you're promoting
penis enhancement. People will probably assume that you put those
(18:32):
two things together. That's true. Don't play with that man likeness.
He don't care about the money. He don't play with
that man likeness if you haven't figured it out yet.
And people making these lawsuits too easy nowadays. The only
problem is you can't really get nothing out of them.
You spend all of this money to you know, shoe
the person and win, but then you can't really get
nothing to ree. But they gotta shud hundreds of thousand
dollars on lawyers and attorneys. And yeah, it crushes him
(18:53):
that way. See if you can get me a free consultation.
Fifth out of all of this, maybe now. Fifty Cents
also reacted to Young Guru recalling Jay Z warning rappers
about about him, and this was a clip from the
My Expert Opinion podcast. Here it is, there's a point
where Jay walks in the student and was just so
(19:13):
happy that everybody was in the studio to say, I
think what we were working on blueprint too, and Jay
walked in the studio. He was like, Yo, this dude fifty,
y'all gonna have to deal with him in the next
couple of months. He said that to the whole crew,
you have to deal with him. What was that like
for you since you was there first? It was a warning.
It was like, Yo, there's another power coming. Because for me,
fifty is like one of the most incredible hook writers.
(19:34):
It was one time me and Blink was in the
studio and I heard a fifty record and I looked
at Bleak. This dude said, I know you don't love
me because you ain't the same When jay Z's yeah,
ja ja Ja said that up here many moons ago
(19:57):
he told that story. I forgot why he told that story.
A pivity he told it up here many many many
moons ago. Posted that and responded, I love you and
where it's too. I just need somebody to compete with.
It makes me find a way, Jane No, I will
always find a way and drop on a clues bombs
for drop on a clues bos to my expert opinion
podcast too man, y'all out here cooking, Let scoot the math.
(20:20):
Te Grizzly his house in la was burglarizing nearly one
million dollars in jewelry and cash was stolen. So they
smashed the window got entrance into his house and according
to the police report, nobody was home at the time
of the break in. There is an open investigation. And
here is what te Grizzly had to say in response
to the news getting out about the break in and
(20:41):
everything that's been going on. I appreciate everybody reaching out,
you know what I'm saying, checking on me. I'm good,
my family good, Thank God. I just need y'all do
one thing for me, don't man. Send a prayer for
p and b Rocking his kids, Keen finding his kids
and all the kids. I hear they gotta grow without
the Pops. You feel me and I had to go
through that. I grow without my Pops because he was cute.
(21:01):
You feel me easy at all. So send the prayers
and we're just gonna wish many blessings on them. We
got to watch what we're speaking into existence, man, I
know we're looking at it like we're just making music.
It's art and artist. But these words is powerful, bro.
And just like we can speak some good into existence,
we just speak some bad existence, you feel me? So
(21:21):
we got to really be careful what we're saying about
ourselves when we make this music. Man Yeah, I mean ironically,
he has a series out right now called what Robbery
Robbery Yep. It's like a trapped in the closet style song,
yeah video, But it's like a story. It's basically in
him telling a story. Actually, um went to the screening
last week to see the whole entire album. But it's
(21:41):
not like he's robbing someone. It's kind of like him
detailing just the different relationships between people. It's like a movie.
And so in certain parts he's like playing a waiter.
He's doing different things. He's kind of he's not involved
in it. He's just telling the story of this person,
be from with this person and this happened and then
with this girl. It's not like he's talking about him
robbing someone. Well, I will say, he's absolutely correct about
(22:03):
the power of the tongue. And it's amazing that he
even has to say it, because smart people learn from
their own mistakes. Wise, people learn from the mistakes of others,
and it's like, have you not learned from the rappers
that came before you? Like that there is absolute power
in the tongue, which is why it does confuse me
when I hear artists, you know, send out resting pieces
to people, but then continue to glorify and celebrate the
same lifestyle that ultimately led to you know, these people
(22:26):
that they're saying r ips to demise. So it's just
just interesting, all right, Well that is your rumor reports.
And like my dad always told me, you can't make
it comfortable. You have to make sure that no matter
who you are, whether you make a little bit of money,
a lot of money, or medium money, you can't do
the same things over and over and again because you're
getting lax. Make sure you put your lawm on the crib.
(22:47):
Make sure you don't go the same way home every day,
even if you're taking a bus, take a different bus.
You never let nobody know your routine. What did your
dad think about social media? What do you think about
everybody showing their stuff on social media? Showing what they
got on social media? My dad's dot also, but that
would drive him crazy. That that would make him lose
his mind. Not on social media. You don't even have
a Facebook. He don't you know what social media? You
(23:08):
don't have. No, he don't you know. Somebody got to
call him. But like I heard, you did this because
he don't hand on social media. Need my mom level.
They barely have a cell phone. You gotta hard wire them,
all right? Well, prop page news next, what we're talking about? Yes,
and let's talk about Bishop Lamar Whitehead back in the
news again. Oh boy, all right, we'll get to that next.
And then Ari Lennox to be joining us next hour.
(23:30):
It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, So Breakfast Club, your

Carolina's own Agia Wilson from the Las Vegas a Sea

Giants undefeated. They beat the Panthers nineteen six? Like, how
you say that? What undefeated? Undefeated? So so what we undefeated? Undefead?
You gotta you gotta get some games under your belt.
We got two games under that's all we need. Twenty
(24:13):
four old Jaguars one, Buccaneers beat the Scenes forty nine
Is beat the Seahawks. Cardinals beat the Raiders. The Jets
beat the Browns on the comeback. That was crazy. All
he had to do. Second, Nee Man Dolphins beat the Ravens.
Lions beat the Commanders, Rams beat the Falcons, Broncos beat
the Texans. Packers beat the Bears. Cowboys nearly one. Yesterday
(24:33):
they beat the Bengals Cowboys nearly one. I don't even
think that. I don't even think you used that word
right just now, that's not how you say that. No
Cowboys nearly one. We won. Well, you're gonna lose this week.
How wenna, We're gonna win fifteen to twelve because the
New York John definitely not DJing in that game. I'm
gonna beat. Are you coming play with Cooper Rushia if
you want to? Now, now that's your got Cooper. Right
with Cooper, play with Cooper Rushi if you want to guy. Okay,
(24:55):
last week he was like, oh, this season, so if
we're gonna get the first first couple, play Cooper? Why
you know why? Because I have unwavering belief. The reason
I have such unwavering belief in myself and in life,
it is because I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan. Okay, I
don't know why I believe, but I believe. You should wait,
there's a will, there's a way, and when there's a rush,
I trust. I don't know what I have to wait
(25:17):
was that I have to don't worry about increase my bust.
I must, I must, I must increase my thrust? All right?
What else you got? Easy? All right? Well let's talk
about Bishop Lamar Whitehead. Now he once again went virals.
If you remember this bishop, I'm an in fifty cent
you know before to a lot of people were. But
(25:40):
he's a Brooklyn pastor and he's actually suing tow YouTubers
and he's suing them because of things that they've said
about him and accused him of not really getting wrapped
of his jewelry. If you guys remember he went viral
when he was robbed during the live stream. He's now
seeking a forty million dollar lawsuit with damages against you too.
Risa Mario dives in Larry Read after they accused him
(26:03):
of stealing from his own congregation and that he's suing
him for it. All right, all right, So this particular time,
apparently he feels that there are people being sent to
his church and they're sent to disrupt things. He was
on the church's live stream giving his sermon at the
Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in Canarsi when a woman
(26:23):
in the congregation actually interrupted him as was walking past,
at which point he did grab her by the neck,
and then he shoved her out of the frame and continued,
let's give Jesus. Let's get Jesus. Let's get Jesus around applause.
Why they take pictures and they want to be on
social media. Take the pictures, Take the pictures, Take the pictures,
(26:48):
Take the pictures, take the pictures. That ain't nothing but
the devil. Why y'all interrupting this man word This man
ain't trying to do nothing or bring the good word
to the people of Brooklyn, And y'all going to that
man church to disrupt things. I never even thought about
that until he said it. But that makes a lot
of sense that they would send people to disrupt that
(27:10):
that that man from delivering the world of God. Boy
Satan busy, ain't he blod have murdered? All right? Well,
Bishop Lamar Whitehead. In the end, identified women were brought
to the local precinct and they were questioned. He has
reportedly not been charged with any wrongdoing after the incident,
but he did go on Facebook Live afterward, and here's
what he had to say to explain what was going on.
(27:32):
These people were sent them to my church to disrupt
my church. And this lady went towards my wife to
attack her and my daughter. And that's when I grabbed her, okay,
and did what I had to do, what any man
and any pastor would do. Okay, we're just we're just
off of the experience of three men coming into my
(27:56):
church robbing us and put in a gun, and my
wife faced and then my eight month old daughter face,
And that's not going to happen again. No, I didn't
choke her. I grabbed her and escorted her out the
way she needed to be escorted out. I thought he
was trying to baptize her. I thought he was putting
his hands on her deliver her in some way shape before. Now, yeah,
(28:18):
I'm reading on Shade Room. It says that Bishop Whitehead
says he was arrested and injured by rights. Here. No,
they're saying he wasn't charged. He said he wasn't charged
with it. They both were taken into the precinct. And
here's what else he had to say about the arrest.
I just wanted to give you guys an update. Um. Yes,
I was arrested, but I was releasing. All the charges
(28:41):
were dropped or they called it voided out, whatever they
want to call it. Um. So if I did do something,
why am I not still there? Right? Let's use logic.
Let's use logic, and she's still there. Amen. So I
just need joking, man, skilled to be in my church,
(29:03):
and I'm going to continue to be in church. But
one of the things that you're not going to do
is come inside of my church and do what you
want to do. That's not going to happen. It's never gone. Man.
I cannot believe Bishop Lamart Whitehead is given away all
this content for free fifty What are you waiting on
this man needs a doc. You need to read. He
needs to doc. You serious, y'all thought, honk, if you
love Jesus was good. This is the best church entertainment
(29:25):
on the planet right now. Are you serious a man?
Are you serious? What he come? Then? Y'all say fifty
with a member of his church at one point, No
what y'all saying he got approclamation? Proclamation? Well fifty, you
need to turn this into a documenteries, okay, we need
to go into the mind of Bishop Lamar Whitehead would
(29:45):
also see what's happening in that church. I would be intrigued.
I am interested, okay, because that the devil is busy,
and the devil is truly trying to keep that man
from delivering his word, and I need to know why
Bishop needs is security definitely needs security needs. I know
we all believe in the scripture no weapon formed against
me saw prosper but you know, you still got to
protect yourself. You get you know, you can believe in
(30:06):
God and have faith, but you still got to protect
yourself in the church. Absolutely, especially after they've tried to
rob you all that Gucci and rolls Royce. You need
to get some security that they the security should have
handled that. The lady of the lady was turning in
your family. Amen. Amen, Amen, that is your front page news.
All right, when you're going back to the churchy um,
(30:28):
I've been there one time. Amen, get my proclamation, as
did a lot of people, as did fifty cents. Your boy.
I'm not asking about you, and I'm just asking about you,
that's all. I'm just saying. It was actually at Angela
y day. Man shout out to Bishop Lamar white Head
by the name Lamart. It's Lamar, Lamar Oh, Lamar Oh. Okay,
doesn't matter if it's yes, it does. You need to
(30:49):
get that man's name right, Okay, all right, all right.
When we come back, Ari Lynics will be joining us.
We're gonna kick it with our Alyentics. Where we come back,
it's the breakfast Club, Good morning, the first Club. No,
it's just you know, y'all can be a little tough
on people sometimes. Yeah, we've evolved, We've changed the whole lots. Yeah,
(31:13):
I feel that. I feel that I want to if
you don't mind, you know, for people that don't know
who Ari Lennox is or where you're signed to or
how you got your start. I want to start from
the beginning for those people, since this is your do
a documentary. Yeah, so you're signed to J Cole. How
did you get into the music industry and signed to Cole? Well?
(31:33):
I was working at public storage and just dropping music
on SoundCloud and there's an amazing rapper named Omen. He
loved my music. He told Eve and Cole about it,
and he was like, we'll fly you out like tomorrow
or tonight something like that, um, so that you can
meet Cole and the studio and stuff like that. And
(31:55):
I was horrified. You know, I just got the job.
I didn't want to lose the job. It was ten
hours an hour. It was the highest paid job I
ever had. Yeah, so I didn't want to like lose this,
so I almost didn't go. But honestly, I think it
was fear, you know, fear of flying and things like that.
(32:16):
But I just I got over it. I drank Matt
vodka and I got on that flight. I was the
first flight as well, first flight in a long time,
like years. Did you lose your job? Did Yeah? I did,
and I was I was horrified and I started doing uber.
There's a lot here. Now. First of all, what were
(32:37):
you afraid? Why are you afraid of flying? Well, I
had a traumatic experience when I was young on a flight,
or complain about the crash or something. Yeah, well the
engines went out and so yeah and so as yeah,
so as we're about to land, he's basically telling us
to brace for impact. And I was very young and
(33:00):
is praying. But I don't remember having fear before that moment.
But after that moment, I was just scared at trumble. Yeah. Absolutely,
Now let's let's let's rewind. Now you lose your job
and you become a loogle driver. I can't see. Am
I good driver? It depends I'm very safe at driving? Yes,
(33:22):
but there are things that have happened where it's just
like I could have been more a little bit more alert. Okay,
where you what was your star rating? My star rating? Oh,
it started dropping like crazy. And and I don't I don't.
I don't know why. Some people thought I was driving
too fast or one note I got was I was
switching lanes too much, but I was trying to get them. Man,
(33:43):
I don't know what. Hell, yeah, I was public storage. No,
I didn't have no big fancy you know. Um, it
was just nice interior and a big bowl of candy,
and I love Uber drivers have candy. Yes, I did
(34:07):
have my charger. I would give because you know you
can't trust I did no, not my I would never,
I mean never. No. Did you make conversation or were
you quiet? I made some conversations sometimes. Um, three times
people threw up in my car? How does that work?
(34:29):
Do they pay for it? Or they pay for it
but it's nowhere near enough and then you lose like
five days of work because your car stinks and you're traumatized. Yeah.
How long did you have the Uber job for? This
is interesting? This is my longest job today. Uber. I
probably did for like at least a year or something like. Wow. Yeah,
I guess the meeting didn't go well because you lost
(34:51):
your job, but then you started driving Uber. No, the
meeting went really well. I just you know, I had
to still make money. You know, they were still you know,
taking their time. I'm with the idea of like signing me.
It wasn't like an immediate This is my last goober question.
When you saw that, when you saw the episode of
Insecure when he was driving, did you say, oh, I
see me? Didn't? Oh? You know what episode. Okay, yeah, yeah,
(35:15):
she drove Insecure for wow, I feel like a loser.
I need to you know why I never watched Insecure
because every time I would watch an episode, I would
just get so sad about my life and how like
sexy these men were and how I had no men.
(35:36):
But but that's my choice. I feel like my choice.
Maybe it is my choice. Could you could have a man,
but it might not be that one. Some people are
okay with settling and saying Okay, I don't want to
be alone, and people make you feel like that. But
the truth is it's better to like wait till the
right person. Absolutely, I've definitely learned that like the hard way,
(36:00):
so very like intentional. I'm particular about like who I
want to share my time with. So I find myself
alone a lot. Why not change the mindset a little?
Like you see the sexy man and you'd be like,
I'm gonna have that one day. I'm gonna have a
man like that from myself one day. I've been more
adamant on like my standards. Absolutely I do do that.
(36:22):
Like I'm more like, yes he has to be fine,
Yes he has to have a nice job, Yes he
has to be good to me, an effective communicator, like
I am like his own place. He did have his
own place. I am, you know, chanting those things within that.
My assistant loves you, right, Mercedes, Mercedes. So she sent
me a couple of questions. One of the questions she said,
(36:43):
you have a song called pof. She's single, by the way, right,
she says, have you tried the dating app pof? And
what you ever catfish? And then she goes, by the way,
that dating site is terrible? Oh, so have you ever
tried plenty of Fish before? Absolutely? I met my first
boyfriend on pof? Really, his name is John On. I
don't know if I'll get in trouble for that, but yeah,
(37:06):
I shouldn't have shadowed time. John is lit, right, John
is gonna be so lit when the interview come out.
Got kicked up with some dating sites because people didn't
believe that it was you. Yeah, tender um, they didn't
believe it was me, And I didn't want to blank
my Instagram so that people would know it's me and
(37:29):
then maybe reach out to me for the wrong reasons
like secret rappers. Well this is I think, thank you?
What is happening here? I think I need to step
outside more. But I'm finally stepping outside and like meeting
like nice, like you know, enjoyable individuals. Let's go back
to John for a second. Why did you throw John
(37:51):
back in the sea? Well? John went to the military,
and I felt like we were growing apart and the
affection was lacking. Call me bro one, and I was
just like, you know what, I couldn't Yeah, and it
triggered me. But and I know it wasn't just bro like,
it's fine, you can call me that. It's just I
felt like our romance was kind of dissipating, and so
(38:13):
I think that was just a triggering thing. And we
had an argument and I was like, well, I guess
we're not together anymore. And that's kind of where to
protect myself. Unfortunately I do that, and he was like, Okay, fine,
we're not together anymore, and he was really serious. Well
his loss. How many songs is he inspired? Um? Probably
po F the the EP and my album Shape, but
(38:35):
her Baby that's literally greatly inspired by him. And I'm
so grateful. What was the first relationship I ever had? Yeah,
we're cool. We check on each other sometimes at well,
I mean Spicy pay when you just don't want to
get back together and back. I know women that swear
(38:56):
by Shape butter Baby like they like that's like their
their bible. So that's that's big of him. You John,
make the T shirt. I inspired Shape those T shirts? Please?
All right, we got more with Ari Lennox when we
come back. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, how do
you dj? Envy Angela yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are
(39:17):
the Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Ari Lennox ye.
So you've met a lot of guys like, well, you've
dated guys and they've been secret rappers. I thought that
was really funny. Oh when you date somebody and then
all of a sudden you find out later like your
pastors to cold for me exactly, Oh my god, And
it's the worst it happens. Like, but that's why I've
(39:37):
learned with dating acts specific questions. Are you a rapper?
Red music? Do you play basketball? Specifically? Goodness, that is hilarious.
That's a plot for a movie or something. The girl
thinks that the guy is cheating, but he's really sneaking
off the recording escape exactly, And what did your mom
(40:02):
and your family say, when you were recording with Cole
and going out there and recording because a lot of
times parents don't believe in the industry, right, my dad
never really knew what was going on in my life. Yeah,
I mean he knew. He was the one who always
said you're gonna be something one day, Like he always
(40:23):
said that, but like he was kind of always doing
his own things, so he never really was seeing that
I was how serious I was about music, which is
why he was like, you should be a nurse, but
really he wanted to be a nurse. And my mom
was very calm, was just like forward, like happy for me,
but yeah, very supportive. She never really knew this, Like
how serious you said that? Your dad used to always
(40:46):
tell you you're gonna be something, You're gonna be something.
Is that put added pressure on a daughter with me? Wow? No,
you know what? And it sucks because we were not
even speaking right now. Still what's going on? Okay, so
we're not even speaking right now. But I do feel
like when you instill certain things like that, it goes
(41:09):
a long way for sure, because um, that is the
one area in my life where I feel like I
did really good all right now with you when your
dad not not speaking, Is it something small that you
can call him? It's so much so like it, Um,
I really think it's important for like people to be
(41:31):
healed when they're bringing kids into this world. M because
it's just like that alone. I feel like probably innately
helped me in so many ways, like always grinding and
like that. But UM, I could also see the other
like you know that I carry and it's um, I'm
(41:52):
sure it has to do with the others. You know
that you go through trauma. And let me let me
tell you something that I learned in therapy because the
first time I had a breakthrough in therapy was literally
realizing all the daddy issues I had. Yeah, So when
me and my dad had a conversation and I realized, damn,
he was a human before he was my dad, and
he had his own issues self distribus issues, dealing with
(42:13):
mental health issues, and he was just doing the best
he could with what he had at the time. It
allowed me to give him a lot more grace. Yes,
and that's got to give parents great I know. And
I feel like there needs to be a lot of
group therapy, and of course I want to continue my
therapy alone, But I think that would probably be best
(42:35):
because I know these are things I'm even carrying into
my dating life, and I just don't want to have
that weight on me. And I do want to be
more compassionate because he went through a lot, you know,
with foster care and abandonment issues and all kinds of
like dark things, So I do recognize why he is
(42:57):
the way that he is. And you've been really open
about going into therapy. When did you decide that that
was something you wanted to do this year? I was
just tired of just being a big ball of like traumas,
like just being unaware of like what was going on inside,
and like, you know a lot of times I could
(43:19):
be so triggered and it's just like, well why, And
now I'm realizing why somebody just pretending like I don't exist,
or like not even looking at me, or like kind
of having like this arrogant nature can be so triggering,
Like where did I see that like earlier in my
life or experience that, Like I'm starting to realize it
never stops. It's like a cycle. Like if you don't
(43:40):
realize that you're carrying all of this way, it comes
out in different ways, and people be like, why she
freaked out? It wasn't even that serious. It was a reminder,
it was a flashback, probably a trigger without even realizing
where it came from. There's always something in our childhood. Yeah,
always something that happened in our childhood, and to bring
you that happened to you an adult. When when it
(44:01):
happened you get triggered, You're like, oh, that's what that's
why therapies. Greg's like, oh that's why I'm reacting, Like,
because what happened here? Yes, and it's it's been really
beautiful and like eye opening for sure? Are you healing
those those childhood wounds? Oh? Definitely? I want to keep
going deeper. This start is happening for sure. And you
said you see a lot of that in the relationships
(44:23):
that you have now, Like what are some things and
patterns Like I know you said you want to be
more sympathetic, So what are some things that you feel like, Okay,
I gotta work on this. Damn. Probably how I'm communicating.
I'm a very anxious person. So basically instead of saying
I've said this before, but instead of saying like nobody
(44:44):
cares like it's just about well, you know, I feel
like this is how I'm feeling, like you know that
I'm not being heard or you know what I'm saying.
Like I try to work on how I'm communicating because
I get so kind of in my own anxiety and
mess that I can kind of be a little insensitive sometimes.
(45:05):
So I just want to work on like that. And
when it comes to performing and getting on staged, are
you the type of person who gets nervous before that
or does it all go away? And that's where you
feel most comfortable most times? Are rarely get nervous like
that nervous, but certain things like TV performances like I'm shaking,
(45:26):
like it's just certain things. Or Jasmine Jasmine like at
the when we performed at the BT Awards, like horrified,
like I don't want to let this legend down, like
Jasmine Sullivan is everything. So yeah, question, when you get
triggered by secret rappers, do you remember the struggle rapper
who traumatize you? Oh? So many, so many. Yeah, people
(45:51):
will never hear of. There's so many, right, people we
never hear of, Like they just they won't say it
until like you like them, and it's just like, oh,
I'm about to go to the studio. Why, like when
what they don't know who you are when they want
to date you and act like, oh my god, like hey,
(46:11):
what's what do you do? You know, and act like
they're not sure who you are. Yeah, I've definitely been
in a relationship where he acted like I was not
who I am at all. That's ridiculous. Yeah, I was
trying to feel appreciated. He kept trying to say, it
was just it's ego, like, you know, it's not all
about you type thing. But really I just felt like
(46:33):
he always kind of diminished everything about me, you know,
like kind of pretended like this singing part didn't even exist.
I hate people like that. Don't try to make me
feel small because you're clue. Yeah, oh my god, Oh
my gosh, you know someone know what you know what
(47:03):
I mean? People that try to make us feel small
just because they haven't done what they want to do
in life. Yeah, I guess so, but now him Jesus,
But now no, Like I just my goal is just
just a date nice people. It's got to be hard though,
(47:24):
because you're r linux now, so you don't know who well,
you don't know who likes you for you or who
likes you because you're a superstar. Where you guys beside
the you know plenty of fish, like where you meeting? Well,
the other day I met a guy at the fashion
show that was really nice and he was he was
so fine, But the day can get terrible. How do
you get? What was the date? Was? Dress probably better
(47:47):
than yours? Or want to dress? How do he ki continue?
How you're sitting there? He walks over her security first
what we were were sitting in a seat, and he old, dang,
I don't want nobody to but yeah, she's sitting next
to you, but I won't tell you when you could
(48:08):
stop now? Yeah, he just he reached out and introduced
himself and like shook hands and it was really cute
and sweet. Was the first date the first day? I
ain't gonna tell you where. It was a lovely restaurant,
it really was. But he was late. He was late.
(48:28):
I think it's bad during fashion now he supposed to
be he was. He was hanging out with Jacole and um,
what what? No, That's what I'm saying that with Jacole
my day, the whole team is like stopped, my da
It's just not all we got more with Ari Lennox.
(48:51):
When we come back, it's the Breakfast Cloud. Good morning
be Angel Charlomagne, the guy we are the Breakfast Club
were still kicking it with Ari Lennox, Charlomagne, what was
your intention with this album? The intention was just me
showcasing dating and its entirety from trying to get away
from dating. But used to bought us right back. I
know that, all right. It's on subject for and it's
(49:14):
where you're a right, you know what a lot of
people can relate to you. That's one of the main
questions people ask, how do you find somebody, like, somebody good,
somebody nice? Do you think about marriage? Like? Are you
dating with the intention to get married? That's how you
find somebody probably is how finding yourself really, and so
that's really what I'm focused on. I got a little
(49:35):
distracted with that recent date and then I was like, well,
let me see what else is out here. But I
think I'm gonna pull back into like myself and just
kind of like change my number and just focus on
more beautiful books on trauma and just focus on me.
I got a great one for you momenticum my grandmother's hands. Really. Yeah.
(49:55):
We also have an a Marian m bothered book in here. Wow?
Is that about traumas? Oh? Bow, he looks so adorable? Okay,
all right, oh no, no, no, I have to get
the book back. No singers, no singers, no rappers. What
(50:19):
about ball players you said earlier? Oh, if he played basketball,
he doesn't mention that. Maybe a soccer player with the
money at is that where the money? That money? Yet?
Real money at soccer? Okay, I'm just saying we have intentions,
(50:42):
that's all. Did you finish your thought on the intentions
of this album? The intention of the album is just
making beautiful music that sounds like I'm in love based
on crushes of people I've never even hung out with before,
like mean mug and hoodie crushes on fine men that um,
I never even hung out with, and then it gets
(51:04):
to blocking you towards the end, it gets the blocking
you And That's where I'm at right now with it,
like in real life. But yeah, it's just dating and
the emotions and towards the end of the album, I'm
definitely more about like, Okay, it's time to protect my peace,
Like no one's gonna do that for me, and I
find it irresponsible to be moving around in life with
(51:25):
all of these unhealed you know, traumas and trying to
you know, get to know people. So I just, you know,
I want to check some things, some codependency things and
anxiety things that people fast. You about black people fast
if they ignore you, just black room. I do. Like
one time I felt that there was distance happening, and
(51:48):
I was like, hey, can we talk? I feel like
something is changing. He was like, I thought we were good.
I thought everything was good. Um, you know what, I
just need to get something to eat. I'm gonna call
you right back. And so I got him a phone
my dad and me and my dad talked for like
two hours and I didn't hear from the guy, and
I'm looking at my phone like wow, like and so
(52:09):
I blocked him. After that, I was in We spoke
one time since then. I'm sure for some reason, I'm
attracting avoidant people who don't know how to communicate. Well, well,
you're probably attracting what you are. That's why what you
said about you know, healing your own trauma before you
get into another situation. It's so important that right there,
that's better than money. You know, how we are you
(52:30):
know about to say, you know how we always say
you need a man with money, but did you you know?
You know, but you really want a man that is
doing the work like you're doing the work every I
got so many home girls to say, I can't date
a man if they're not in therapy, they're not trying
to hear. Wow, that's what I would want for myself,
a secure individual and or someone who was striving to
(52:51):
be secure and healing as well as I am healing
and trying to heal. I want to ask you, what
did you think, because you know you are one of
the leaders of this new arm be er, what did
you think of did these comments that R and B
is dad? I thought it was dismissive to all of
the amazing legendary artists that have been in the game
and that are also contributing. I mean, from Mary J.
(53:13):
Blige to Jasmine Sullivan to Summer Walker to Lame to
Money Long Van Jesse, Lucky Day, Lucky Day, Aaron Ray,
There's so many of us t Nariel Brent Faiz, Jalen
Jossi her Her, Yes, Yes, let's you know, Jill st
(53:35):
Sissa like everyone is still killing it and dropping music,
and it was dismissive just because I don't know think, Yeah,
Tank exactly amazing. Yeah, I don't know why he said
that it was not nice, but I do love all
that he's contributed to music, So it's no shade, but
(53:58):
it's like, be more nice to the people that are
really you know, we're out here still like stopping often
wonder when you was young trying to get on, what
did you think the industry would be like? And what
have you realized? You know it really is, But I
think it was gonna be like I don't remember, I
just knew. I just I saw baw Waw up there
(54:18):
and Joe Joe, and I just wanted to be like them,
like when I was young, Um, what did I think?
I don't know what I thought. Like, maybe I thought
there was gonna be like a lot of like devil
people illuminatif I haven't yet to see that. I thought
there would be a lot of cocaine. Yet I've yet
to see them. I've never seen it before, never sacrifice
(54:43):
a family member or something. I don't want to think
I've never seen before either. No, yeah, exactly, I've been
offered it, but I've never seen it. It was never
been offered. I don't believe or OpEd it twice in
my life, but they didn't like have it in their hand. Wow,
they were like deep party, Yeah, then I have been
(55:03):
offered it before. Then, well yeah in the bathroom. Yes,
that's what that meant. Oh my god, you've been offered cocaine.
I have been offered cocaine. Say all your friends are
in a lot. We do appreciate you, we appreciate your music.
And you know, I was kind of hurt when you
(55:23):
said you don't want to do interviews anymore. I was like,
don't let one bad interaction with somebody mess up somebody else,
you know. And I'm glad you're over that, and I'm
glad you're doing interviews again. Thank you. I want people
to understand that was just a part of my anxious
nature of like what I met earlier, when I was
just like nobody cares. I kind of worst case scenario
and jumped to like the extreme. I'm kind of black
(55:46):
and white with things especially. Yeah, and I definitely didn't
mean that. I was just so heartbroken by the fact
that he would release something that we didn't agree on
him releasing, and I just kind of felt ambushed, you know,
so yeah, let's get into a record off the album.
What you want to hear? Oh? I guess boy bye,
(56:08):
because that's the real sexy record. I love Lucky Days Awesome.
I can't wait to see you on TV and movies too.
I see that in your future as well. That's so sweet.
We need to get with Sean de Rms and do
this mini series how to get Away with rapping? Oh
my god, sug raping brilliant little thrillers. Yes, well, our athletics,
(56:31):
thank you for joining us. It wasn't that bad. It
was beautiful DA's energy. Wow. And we prayed before we came.
Why are you talking? Yes? Why do you talk so much?
Because I love you? I do the piece. No, not
the day you talk too much? You guys? This about
(56:52):
We prayed together as a family. What are you talking about? God?
We said an intention before the interview. That's what we did.
Ye radio there felt that they don't ever date a
radio personality that's promised. I won't, okay, almost, I won't really,
that's all. No more, you can't do that. That's paola ya.
(57:24):
I don't want that playing Ari so much. Alex is
the Breakfast Club good morning report Angela the Breakfast Club. Well,
here was something that we definitely did not see coming
(57:47):
of of altercation between Tory Lanes and August our Sena allegedly. Now,
this all started on Gossip of the City te They
posted Tory Lanes ko August. I seen it tonight after
August got froggy with Tory over something Tory said months ago.
Tori was trying to show him love and August wanted
to take it to a negative place and got knocked out.
(58:07):
August was a negative one, not Tory. August felt some
kind of way because Tory said months ago he wouldn't
have snitched on Jada like August did. It was like
a little freestyle yep. Tory tried to shake his hand
and August ignored him. Tory asked him about it, and
August got negative and told him to keep the same energy.
So that was the first reporting of it from god
(58:27):
Sip of the City team and then the Neighborhood Talked
tried to confirm the rumor and apparently Tory Lane liked
the post, but then he said that was an accident.
I didn't confirm anything. August Ausina then went and posted
a picture of himself with a bloody mouth and talked
about the interaction. Now, August did a whole entire post
about this, and he said, as I'm exiting the building
(58:52):
after the show last night, a four eleven sized leprekan
round down on me with eight oversized security and words
whom agree to each individual individually upon their walk up,
as they tried to press me whole time. I'm one
deep no security. Tory continues to ask, with a broken ego,
why I didn't dap him up. I go on to
tell him I was a fan of him and didn't
understand him speaking on my business publicly in the past
(59:13):
because I don't know him where ever met him until
last night. So when he spoke it called me off
guard because of his past actions, I assumed didn't like me.
That's all, not to mention with my history of health
and condition, just recently overcoming being paralyzed. My doctor directed
me not to compromise my health while out on the
road and shake as less hands as possible due to
corona and monkey pots. So he said there was never
(59:34):
any disrespectful words, and he also wants Tory Lanes to
put out the footage he was like his people got
the whole thing on camera. Put the footage out. I'd
like to see it anyway. Let me go clean the
blood off my face with some Encina Wellness, which is
a brand that he's involved in that he's been pushing.
All right, well, Tory Lanes then went and talked to
(59:55):
academics and said, nothing happened. Well happen allus, bro, everything good,
Nothing happens. I don't even know what this kid is
talking about. Brother, Okay, so you're not involved. No, I
don't know, don't like, I don't know if he's doing
a promo. I don't I don't know what that yo.
When I read it, I'm like, yo, Tory not even
violent like that, bro? Like yo? All right. So basically,
(01:00:20):
Tory Lane is denying the whole thing and saying it
never happened. In August, I've sena posted a few different
pictures of his injuries. Yeah. I was the fallback comedy
to an R and B comedy tour. It was Friday
and DC Saturday in Chicago and Sunday. I was supposed
to be last Night in Long Island, but neither Tory
or August or August performed last night. Now I know,
(01:00:43):
this was in Chicago, and they did talk. TMZ reached
out to the Chicago Police Department, but they said they
didn't have any charges that had been filed as of
that time. So yeah, yeah, I'd be hearing these stories
and I'd be like, what are we supposed to do
with all this information? Like it's like it's like it's
like a non stop soap operas that had happening, uh
via social media all the time. And the crazy thing
(01:01:04):
is the R and B toll. When our DJ last
night was dope, it was R and B music, it
was calm, it was cool. It was just a good
vibe and good feelings. So R and B dude has
been wilding for the longest. Once again, fifty we need
you to produce a R and B boxing match, boy,
because it kind of started with your Tycoon Weekend with
the R and B guys wilding, you know what I mean,
and then it kind of just has been carrying on.
We see the Marions and B two k's and you know,
(01:01:27):
now this weekend with the Tory and August I forgot
all the ones that happened for fifty cent Tycoon Weekend.
Let's jack quiz it was it was Trey, Let's do
some R and beef celebrity boxing matches. You know what
I mean? I don't remember, Yeah, some R and B
celebrity boxing matches. August said, you wouldn't even know about
(01:01:49):
this story if he didn't try to go leak the story.
Me and it's people were the only people out there
when this happened. But for the sake of storytelling, we're
gonna always stand on truth. And that is your room
of report, Charlomage, who are giving that donkey to man
four after the hour. We need former Governor of Mississippi,
Phil Briant to come to the front of the congregation.
We like to have a word with him. Brett Father
(01:02:09):
need to get some of this. He hard too, but
we'll talk about it, all right. We'll get to that.
Next is to Breakfast Club. Good morning, Donkey Devil Breakfast Club.
(01:02:32):
We gotta add an app soule to one of those
apps sold. Just did a Dunkey Today mentioned his new
record drop on a clue bumps for absoul. Donkey Today
from Monday, September nineteen goes the former Mississippi Governor Phil
brian Okay, this story bothers me in such a real way,
because it's just more proof that, regardless of what this
country tries to tell us, the powers that be do
(01:02:53):
not care about the poor period. Okay, because Phil Brian
is at the center of a welfare scandal. There's a
civil lawsuit against him because he used federal welfare funds
toward the building of a new volleyball stadium at the
University of Southern Mississippi. A mathive criminal scandal in which
prominent officials misspent are stole millions in welfare funds and
(01:03:14):
tended for the nation's pois residents. Disgusting, disgusting, a project
prosecutors have called a scheme to defraud the government. Let's
go to KTLA for the report. Please. Brett Farve's life
after football has been focused on philanthropy, but, as first
reported by Mississippi Today, newly revealed text messages filed in
an ongoing civil lawsuit show Farv was part of a
(01:03:35):
scheme that funneled at least five million dollars of welfare
funds to build a new volleyball stadium at the University
of Southern Mississippi, where Farv graduated and his daughter played.
The tax show. Former Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant pushed for
the facility despite denying close involvement. A friend of the
former governor's wife, Nancy Knew, would submit a five million
(01:03:57):
dollars upfront lease to use the university athletic facilities for
her nonprofits programming. Former Welfare Agency director John Davis approved
four million immediately. Oh, when the scammers is white, the
light's not so bright. Hunt. They don't shine the light
on the white scameras like they do to others. This
is bigger than PPF P Long's baby. This is how
(01:04:18):
the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor. You
wonder why the people who need relief in this country
can't get it. It's because the money that's supposed to
go to them is going to rich people's pet projects.
As if they can't get the money to build that
volleyball stadium from donors already, aw if Bret Fab doesn't
have the money to do it himself, all that money
Bret Fab made wranglers. I know he got it, but
why spend your own money when you can spend money
(01:04:39):
meant for the poor and disenfranchised in our society? Now,
of course Phil Briant denied it, but screenshots will never lie,
and they are text messages that show that Bryant guided
far on how to write a funding proposal so that
it would be granted. Now, Bret fab previously denied that
he discussed the volleyball project with Briant, but the text
messages quoted indicate otherwise, suggesting that million was given to
(01:05:01):
the school. Now, Brett Fove's involvement in the well fifth
Candell first emergement, it was reported that he received one
point one million for work he allegedly didn't perform. He
eventually repaid the money, but he's been sued to the
interest on the money he received and returned. Let's go
back to KTLA from Mortar report. Blif Farv texting and
Gray tells new that the governor has seen the proposal,
(01:05:21):
but hint, hint, you need to reward it to get
it accepted. He adds, hopefully she can put more details
in the proposal, like how many times the facility will
be used and for what specific purpose. Farv also received
one point one million dollars in welfare funding through the
Mississippi Community Education Center for speaking at events he never
showed up to. Farv asks knew if you were to
(01:05:44):
pay me. Is there any way the media can find
out where it came from and how much FARV has
repaid the money? But state auditors want more than two
hundred thousand dollars in interest. Farv's attorney denies the former
QB knew that money came from a welfare fund, describing
his client as honorable throughout this whole thing. Coudy, y'all
always making noise about the wrong things. Why are not
(01:06:06):
making noise about this? Back in July, Mississippi Representative Benny
Thompson sent a letter to you, as Attorney General, Merritt Garland,
requesting that the DLJ investigate this situation and that they
focus on breath Father and Phil Brian in particular. Father
has already been questioned by the FBI. I say, hell yes,
they need to be investigated, because there's not too many
things more despicable than stealing from the havens. This is
(01:06:29):
literally like, you know, seeing a homeless person on the
street and walking up to them and just taking money
out of their Starbucks cup. Like it's bad enough we
live in a country where folks can't even make ends meet,
but when you have elected officials who are supposed to
be providing relief for these individuals, but instead they are
stealing from them. This is why when things really really
really hit the fan in this country, it's gonna be
(01:06:50):
bad because the point are gonna continue to cannibalize themselves. No,
they're gonna hop those gay defenses and start coming to
start coming to the communities y'all are in not only
because they know that's with a prosperity yet, but now
they have even more instantive because not only are y'all
not helping the poor and disenfranchise, you're stealing from them
as well. I never understood just the same way I
never understood labels not paying artists what the artists are old,
(01:07:12):
it's not your money. The money is there for who
is there for? Simply give them what it's rightfully there's
it's simple. There's no need for filling bred to be
dipping their hands in the church's money for what. Now
we all know nothing that's gonna happen to Phil Brian
are bredfath because if something happens to them, then it's
sets a precedent and now more elected officials will start
to get exposed, investigated, and arrested for the same thing.
(01:07:34):
And we all know Phil, Brian and bread Father want
the first to do things like this, so they're not
gonna make an example out of them because doing that
will lead to them making an example out of the
whole system, or having to make an example out of
the whole system, and that's not gonna happen. Okay, the
good old boys, you know, don't know how to punish
the good old boys. Okay, but Benny Thompson is right.
You have to push for them to be investigated. You
(01:07:55):
know why, because if you forgive the fox for stealing
your chickens, he will take your sheet. And America been
past stilling chickens and they've been taking sheep, so yes,
investigate them. So it leads, you know, to some type
of conviction, but we know it won't because we have
a system that feeds off sheep. And once again, they
will never punish the good old boys. Okay, but I
(01:08:16):
just want to warn America of where we are headed.
If we're not already there now, but we're definitely headed
that way if the halves don't start doing right by
the have nots. Who man, a matter of fact, this
ain't even a word from me, It's a word from
a prophet, one of the greatest messenges God has ever
(01:08:36):
sent this dimension Tupoxy corp. If I know in this
hotel room they have food every day, and I'm knock
on the door every day to eat, and they tell
and they open the door, let me see the party.
Let me see like they're throwing salami all over that part.
I mean, just like throwing food around. But they're telling
me there's no food in here. You know what I'm saying.
Every day I'm standing outside trying to sing my way in.
(01:09:00):
Know what I'm saying, We are hungry, Please let us in.
We are hungry. Please let us say. After about a
week that song is gonna change that we hungry, we
need some food. After two three weeks, it's like, you know,
give me on the rout, recking out of the door.
After year and you're just like, you know what I'm saying,
I'm picking the lock, coming through the door, blasting. You
know what I'm saying. It's like, you're hungry. You reached
(01:09:20):
the level you don't want anymore. We asked ten years ago,
we was asking with the panthers. Who was asking with them?
You know, a civil rights movement who was asking. You
know now that those people that were asking, they're all
dad and in jail. So now what do you think
we're gonna do? This is where we are ahead of
America and you did it to yourself. Please get a
former governor of Mississippi, Phil Briant and Brett Farve the
biggest he Hall please. All right, well, thank you for
(01:09:47):
that dog kid to day that up. Next, we have
the Woman from The Woman King joining us. The movie
came out this week and did like the Women of
the Woman You said, the Woman of the Woman women
if it's just one woman in the whole movie, now
that with Women Woman King, and it came out this
weekend and it did I think over nineteen million. So
we're gonna talk to them next. Is it number one? Yes? Oh, okay,
(01:10:10):
dropping a clues bomb for the Woman King. Now, I
think it's very We need to be honest with the people.
We recorded this on Friday, he did, Okay, all right,
So it's Viola Davis Queen by older Davis. Uh, Gina
Gina Blythewood Bythewood and Uh, I'm gonna mess the sister's
name up. Who's so big Batu? Yeah? Okay, well right,
(01:10:34):
so we're gonna talk to them next, So don't move.
It's to breakfast club comor the breakfast club. It is
moment the movement. Yea, how difficult was it for you
to get in that type of shape because from the premier,
I mean it was it was a lot. It looked
like you did your own stunts and everything. Yes, we did,
and it was a lot. Hour and a half of
(01:10:56):
weight training every day and heavyweights because they wanted me
to be really bulky so you could believe I could
take down two hundred and fifty pound men, three and
a half hours of martial arts after the weight training,
you know, weaponry training, you know, punching elbows, running ten
point on the treadmill, wow, which you know you know
(01:11:18):
when you you you start running, you uh, your your
heart rate goes up and you lose oxygen. And I'm
over fifty. So the fact that I'm alive and sitting
here is a testament somebody to try you hold hold up.
(01:11:38):
But that's a powerful feeling to be able to just
really transform your body like that. You think you'll incorporate
this training like just forever into your life. Now some
of that, Yeah, we still work out together all three
of us. So they come to my house and we
could plain. Yeah you know, but you know, for me
and Tooso can attest to that, it's getting into the
(01:12:00):
mindset of the warrior, that mindset of either you fight
or you die. Yeah, you know, because as actors, you
can't just transform the body. You have to transform even
um inward. Yeah. We are, after all, at the end
of the day, playing people. And I mean, I don't know.
I don't walk through my life except with my child.
(01:12:23):
It's if you come, you know from my child, I'll
try to kill you, right, But really, um, every day
I don't have fight or die sort of spirit. So
for people that don't know, let's break down what the
Woman King is about. This incredible group of elite female
warriors who defended the kingdom, defended their people at a
(01:12:43):
time when they were at the great crossroads which way
they were going to go? And yeah, just tells the
story of this incredible kingdom that that was different than
any other kingdom in all the Africa. And it's based
on a true story, right, because this this is the
real life door Malajeh. Right, Yeah, that's the incredible thing.
These women were real. So many of us have never
(01:13:04):
heard of them, never were taught about them. So to
be able to go to the movies see yourself reflected
up on screen, you've never seen it heroically, we think
it's gonna be a game show. It's exciting for me
because I've never seen black women in a role like this,
you know, and I love movies like three hundred and
a Pacalypto when you see all the fighting and running excitement.
But to see like these powerful black women, I just
(01:13:27):
feel like this is something that is life changing for us.
You know. I saw that you said, Gina that when
you read the script you knew even before you finished
that you wanted to do this movie. Yeah. For five
pages in Wow, it's written that these women rise up
from the grasses about to go ham on on some
men who took their women prisoner. And for me, my
(01:13:49):
mindset athletes wanting to put us up on screen. I
wanted to see that image. I wanted to be the
one to shoot that image. Yeah. I'm glad y'all did
this too, because you know, I'm a big comic book guy,
so all aways knew the Door Malaja was based off
a real you know, crew of women, But I never
did the research on it. I never went to go
look about the Dohmie Amazon. So this is a great
educational piece, I think. Yeah, and Viella you produced this
(01:14:12):
also right my production company with my husband Julius Tennan,
we produced the movie. We fought for it for seven years,
you know, seven years, seven year fight. It's always hard
to get a movie done in Hollywood. Any anyone has
a hard time, but us especially have a hard time.
(01:14:33):
Do you think this is going to start a shift
in Hollywood where instead of the narratives of like you know,
the enslaved, we get those stories all the time. We'll
get more of these stories showing our warrior's spirit. We
have to Um said, it's it's time. It's what we
love so much about this film against so many of
us are taught, certainly in America, that our history begins
with enslavement, and there was so much more going on
(01:14:56):
before that, Um, where we truly do come from kingdoms
and war and kings. So with the success of this,
it has to open that door, actually keep that door
open that Black Panther kicked open for us, and we
wanted to keep that door open for others to tell
these stories. We had John Opa the other day he
said by yeah. Yeah, he said this was his easiest
(01:15:16):
role because he said which role he was working, because
he said, you guys did the work, and he said
it was amazing watching guys really getting play. He said
he loved it and he felt very comfortable on set
because there was so many black women around. Yes, oh yes,
he said, y'all would tell him if he had crusted
his lips. You know, he was very excited about that. Now.
(01:15:38):
The thing about John that was amazing about his involvement
is he normally obviously he's a leading man. Yeah, um,
but he came aboard this. He used his power to
help us get this, made help us get that green light. Um.
He obviously wanted to work with v but that was big.
He just wanted to be there to support black women
and he was incredible unset. He came when he wasn't
(01:16:01):
just to watch, to take it into taking the environment.
So he was a king. How many knows did you
get before you got there? Yes? And what reason would
they give you to say this isn't gonna work or
we're passing? Well, it's it's any number of things. It
could be fighting for the actors. Okay, a black actress,
(01:16:23):
especially dark skinned black actress, is not going to have
the same resume as a white actor. Okay, so then
you have to fight for them because everything is about
what you've done before, how much money that movie made
that you did before. You have to fight for the director.
You know, the studios approved directors who are the Steven Spielberg's,
the Christopher Nolan's, the David Fincher's. They have their own
(01:16:45):
movies that they don't have to do a woman king.
You know, you have to fight for the budget. You
have to fight you you know what, you have to
fight for everything, even hair and makeup. Okay, because there's
no precedent. I just have to add this because Gina
(01:17:07):
said it, so I have to keep it going. It's
the whole idea of support and supporting is different than
just helping. Supporting is carrying. You're always that net that's
always there. And the thing about our movies, this is
a predominant black female lead movie. There is no white
savior in it. If you do not PLoP your money
(01:17:30):
down to see the movie, then it is going to
be really hard for the next black artist to come
into that room and get a movie greenlook it's going
to be ten, fifteen, twenty years because we will set
a president that we did a movie that y'all didn't
want to see. And it's as simple as that. It's
not like, Okay, we just didn't want to see this movie. No,
(01:17:52):
you don't want to see dark skinned women driving the
narrative in a global box office. Now we got more
with Viola Davis to sueved also Gina Bythewood movies, to
Breakfast Club, the Morning everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee,
Charlomagne the guy we are the Breakfast Club. We're still
kicking it with the women from the Woman King, which
is in theata's right now, Viola Davis too, so they
(01:18:13):
do Gina Bythewood now, Charlomagne, what do roles like this
makes you feel about American patriarchy and the roles they
tell us men and women are supposed to play. Well, Um,
not necessary, just American patriarchy. I think it's globally global. Um,
you see it back in South Africa as well. Um,
(01:18:36):
just from my history, I know that the shows that
I've been been on in South Africa are extremely hard
to be commissioned because again, dark skinned black women aren't
syllables as far as people are concerned, and um, this
I think this movie will show the opposites. It shows,
you know, the humanity of the dark skinned black women.
(01:18:59):
It shows that we are people who are titented, We've
got something to a value to add and that whatever
the system has deemed as the standard isn't necessary. For Gino,
I was it important for a woman, especially a woman
of color, to direct a woman man. It had to
be from our point of view, our lands. Um what
I brought to it. Like as a director, it's a vision.
(01:19:19):
It's my vision. What do I want the audience to see?
How do I want these women portrayed? Um? I just
think somebody else who didn't have the love of our
people love with these women. They may have made a
movie that was just about kick as women killing and
that's it. But I wanted to show our humanity. I
knew we needed to see our humanity. And that's that's
the thing why more of us have to tell our
(01:19:41):
own stories is because our lens, we're putting a camera
on what we want to see. Um. And it makes
a huge difference too. So how wast how important is
it for Black Americans to have a connection to the motherland.
I think so from what I've observed, um and I
talk about it with most of my friends, is there
is an identity that was stripped from African Americans when
(01:20:04):
you know they were taken from this land. I have
a confidence in me that I cannot possibly fathom. You know,
what life would be like without knowing who I am.
You know again, I was talking to my friend about
this the other day that yes, we had apartheid, and
you know, we have our own system that oppressed us,
(01:20:25):
but we still knew where we came from. I can
say I am of the Zuluk tribe, you know, King Shaga,
and I can trace my history. I can take my
confidence in that my king fought a B and C
to see X Y Z it happened. And so for
African Americans that was taken from them. And so there's
I am noticing this constant search for something that cannot
(01:20:51):
be filled by anything that this space might hold and
tracing whatever Africa might be. The onto to that, Miss
Davis and that question too. But we did intentionally on
this film because oftentimes you hear a little bit of
a conflict. Is that we wanted this cast to come
(01:21:13):
from all over the asporatum. So we had African American actors,
South African, West African, London, Jamaican, Uganda. We wanted all
of them to come together so that it was black
women telling the story of our ancestors together, and of
course you celebrate each other's cultures, but it was Black
women as a as a collective, and that's a vibe
(01:21:35):
we wanted on set, and that's what we wanted to
put up on screen and help me inspire to stop
the division because we all came from the same place. Yeah. Well,
I've felt like I've spent my whole life running and
chasing and trying to find me, you know, because I've
been defined by a culture that really has had a
(01:21:57):
very definitive idea of who I was. It's been negative
in order to control, in order to just suppress. And
so when I went to Africa for the first time
when I was twenty five, it changed my life. It
just blew once again a hole in it. I was
(01:22:18):
coming from Juilliard where the big thing was disappearing, trying
to become a perfectly white actor with speech training and
trying to lose weight which never happened, and I don't
know why I was trying to make it happen. But
once again, that's when I went to Africa. I saw
(01:22:39):
the why. That's what I saw. I saw the why.
And I can't say that I'm not still in search
of because I'm not African, so I don't know what
tribe I'm from. I still don't know that. I don't
know that I'm Zulu. I don't know, you know what
my great great great great great grandfather could have done.
But I just know that there's something else out there
(01:23:02):
that I was that America um has not given me.
If she's from Sycrolina like me, it's probably westh African.
I didn't mind. I'm westh African and Senegal. Kenny was
Saul and Sierra Leone. That's my now say I'm Kenyan Cameroon. Yeah,
oh wow, Okay, I was gonna ask, you know, for
people that don't understand, you guys have to fight so
(01:23:25):
much for to put your product out of what you wanted,
whether it was this film or loving basketball, why do
you continue to fight and not let go Because it
would have been easy to say, you know what, let's
go to another movie. But in all those cases the
movies that you did became classics and the fact that
our people love them. So why is it so important
to continue to fight even if they say no and
(01:23:47):
shut you out? Um? I mean it was easy just
to let go. It is um because if I don't fight,
they won't get made, and then we won't see ourselves.
And that is my goal, is to put us up
on screens to be inspired by. I learned early on
in my career it just takes one yes, and that's
(01:24:09):
the thing. Fight, fight, fight till you get that one yes.
And you do that when you're doing things that you're
passionate about. The passion fuels to fight. If I was
doing stuff where I just thought, well, maybe Hollywood would
buy this, then it's easy to give up. But I
tell stories that means something to me, that's going to
mean something to us and I'm passionate about. Part of
(01:24:30):
the story is also Africans assisting in the slave trade.
Was it harder to get those roles filled because nobody
want to play that role? I would think unless some
people like being a villain. It was about we're being
truthful with the story and every single role is necessary
and it is brave to take on a role like
that and props. The hero finds Tiffin who who played
(01:24:50):
the Oh, I was about to run the loue. Wow,
there were a couple roles, but it's important because it's
important to tell the story and we need we need
those people. But yeah, we were gonna go in and
tell the truth. I think that's gonna be new to
a lot of people, especially a younger generation. You're gonna
(01:25:11):
be like really haying to sisted in the slave right? Yeah?
I mean the globally, every single civilization participated in some way,
you know, But for us it was um having our women,
our googie women, and the Niska. She represents those within
the kingdom who were pushing for change, and that's what
(01:25:32):
they ultimately did. We do you want people to take
away from the Woman King? I never want to tell
an audience what to take away they who knows how
it's going to land on them. I have no idea,
but I know that I have a twelve year old
daughter who saw the movie and she cried profusely Wow, okay,
(01:25:53):
and then um, she said she was so proud of me.
And then I get all of her text messages on
her phone. She showed me a text message that she
was going back and forth with a friend who had
also seen the movie, and they said, oh, wasn't she great,
wasn't too so great? Wasn't like Sean? Oh my god,
(01:26:14):
it was literally art. And then she says, and I'm
not just saying that because it's my mom. So she
showed me the text message and I said, thank you
so much. I text your back because I'm on the road,
and I said, thank you so much, my baby. And
then I wrote in all caps, ah googie with exclamation point,
(01:26:36):
and then I waited, waited, wait, and I got a
buzz on my phone and the response was husu. And
I thought that that was awesome to inject in my daughter.
What I didn't have that sort of spirit of the warrior.
It's like, whatever you dream, whatever you dream is beyond fear,
(01:26:58):
you know. And that was everything. Brought me to tears. Hey, man,
go support the Woman King. The Woman King. Now it
is out in the Thank you so much. The Woman
King is there. Thank thank you so much. The Breakfast
Club responded to these charges. Now, according to the statement,
(01:27:23):
they said, mister Shakazulu, the beloved son of the City
of Atlanta, it's disappointed in the Atlanta Police Department's decision
to bring charges against him surrounding the shooting that occurred
in June twenty twenty two. A close review of all
of the evidence, including surveillance footage and eyewitness interviews, reveal
that mister Zulu was attacked and jumped from behind by
getting at least four individuals, sadly including the deceased, and
(01:27:46):
was forced to defend himself after this gang repeatedly stomped, punched,
and kicked him while he was on the ground and
a defenseless posture and an attempt to save his life.
He lawfully discharged his weapon in self defense, a weapon
that he was licensed to carry. And so the narrative,
I guess now they want to make sure that you know,
he doesn't end up going to jail for defending himself
(01:28:07):
when he could have potentially gotten killed in this incident. Yeah, yeah,
I don't understand this one at all. Liked the standard
ground law and not apply to black people. Not to
mention he was at his place of business. If I
feel like if that was a white person at his
place of business and that happened, not only would charges
not be pressed, the people who jumped in would be
arrested and how is their footage him getting jumped and shot?
And did did I read correct that nobody's been arrested
(01:28:27):
for that jab No, just shaka huh And he surrounded
to a thirty seem at thirteenth. He bonded out the
same day and he was one of three people that
were shot in that incident at that time what was
reported with several men got into an argument and several
doctor fired and Shatka was one of the people who
were struck. One person was killed and another person was injured.
(01:28:50):
I mean, I'm sure he'll you know, beat that when
he goes to court. Boat. I wanted to know why
was he charged to begin with? Right, imagine you're fighting
for your life, all of this happened, you're jumped and attacked,
and then now you're being charged and George is definitely
standing ground. Ye all right now, post Malone had a
really nasty on stage four. I mean that looked painful.
(01:29:13):
I guess there was a ramp and a hole in
the floor that had been used to lower his guitars
like a trapdoor, and somebody did not cover it up,
and so you can see post Malone go down really
hard and he's laying on the ground for several minutes
holding onto his rib cage, and eventually he was able
to get off of the stage. He did promise his
(01:29:33):
fancy would be back, and he did come back about
ten minutes later, but he was really injured. Here's post Malone.
So whenever we do the acoustic part of the show,
the guitars on the guitar stand and it goes down,
there's this big pole, so I go around there and
they turned the corner and bust my winding me pretty good.
We just got back from the hospital and everything's good.
(01:29:53):
Everything's good. They gave me some pain meds and everything
so we can keep kicking tour. I just want to
apologize to everyone in Saint Louis, and I want to
say thank you guys so much for coming to the show.
That's the kind of lawsuit people hopeful. Who do you
sue in a situation like that when someone and collected
to do yes? But that's his stage set up though, right,
(01:30:15):
I don't care. Somebody got to get sued. Maybe when
he's out walk into that convenience store on Friday and
laid out on the floor and said my neck, my back,
my neck in my back. That's what he was hoping for.
That type of lawsuit right there. That's a big lawsuit. Now.
People initially were saying that he broke hiss, but he
bruised his ribs, which, by the way, I bruised my
ribs before. That is extremely painful when you try to
Breathe can't laugh, sit down, moving everything. But I can't
(01:30:38):
imagine what breaking them would be like. But he did
bruise his ribs. It hurts when brief. Is that what
you're saying? Yes, it did, I'm sure all right. And
Nicki Minajs and JT were on Instagram Live together and
this is the part that everybody was talking about, and
they did clear this up. Afterward. Nicki Minajs brought up
the fact that JAT had made a disc about her
(01:30:58):

did that go? Song? Right? Now? Wait? Wait, say Niki,

wanted to repeat the song I made in my car
and we was laughing the whole live like a phone combo.
We talked about literally everything and it was all laughs,
(01:31:44):
and Nicki Mina said, man, f they's duds, Babe. Everyone
on the live knows how dope it was. From beginning
to end, we were having fun being silly. That's a
little freestyle. She was actually making up off the top
of her head in her car. Since y'all keep trying
to pull her down, I'm gonna go mad hard for her.
Can I hear one more time? I hated JD F
sell hear that again? Oh we can't just racks against
me in the car when in the car. How did
(01:32:07):

She ain't even promise, Trees, I wasn't my no finishing,
keep it going right, I don't remember. I don't here,
nick I'm a dropping night A bag of groceries have
(01:32:31):
dropped it at the door. Okay, yeah, you can't hold
that against the JT was a kid and she was
shooting at the top, shot top. That's what hip hop
is about. Shoot at the top, shot top. All right,
