Speaker 1 (00:02):
I'm a homegrow that knows a little bit about everything
and everybody, you know, if.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
You don't lie about that, right, law came, Hey, y'all,
what's up.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
It's Laura l Rosa and this is the latest with
Laura l Rosa. This is your Deli dig on all
things pop culture, entertainment, news and all of the conversations
that shake the room.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Baby.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
Now today we are going.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
To get into an exclusive because I broke a story
via social media, literally while we were filming an interview
at the Breakfast Club. But this was a story that
we had talked about on Er Today and I got
an update and wanted to make sure I got it
out there before it's circulated elsewhere. So Porsia Williams Real
(00:48):
Housewives of Atlanta. Y'all know Portia Williams. Everybody loves Porsie.
So she was on a flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta.
This is her leaving Bravocon. You guys know, she was
just there doing all the things, and we see this
video d that TMZ breaks of Porsche Williams getting off
(01:09):
of a flight with agents around her. We then later
find out that these are FBI agents. So at that
point we don't know what's going on. I reported this
story today on the Breakfast Club. You can go check
that out on the YouTube channel some of the background,
But at the time that I reported the story, I
didn't even know what had happened. So I reached out
(01:30):
to uh federal agents in Atlanta, and the segment I
received was the FBI Atlanta is aware of the incident
on the flight allegedly involving Porsche Williams. It is unknown
at this time if federal charges will apply. Now when out,
let's rind this headline, of course, you know they leaned
into the fact that federal agents are involved. For those
of you guys who don't know my low riders, but
(01:51):
some of you guys may know, I was a flight
attendant for Delta. I flew for it was about a
little bit close to nine months and so the minute
I saw that the headlines stating federal agents and the
flight and all the things, I was like, Oh, that's easy.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
She must have been on board the aircraft or they
were at a certain point in taxi or takeoff when
whatever incident occurred.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Because for most airlines I know, I can speak for
Delta anyway, depending on where you are in flight automatically
it can become federal jurisdiction. So that's the reason why
federal agents were involved. And then the video that we see,
she's you know, coming off the plane and there around her.
So I then received the statement from Porsche's attorney clearing
(02:37):
up what happened. So this was Sunday, she was flying
back from Vegas to Atlanta.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
She was able.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Delta released a statement saying there was an incident with
two passengers on board, who were then able to continue
their flight on to Atlanta. Portia Williams attorney gave me
this statement exclusively. They alleged Portia Williams was verbally assaulted
by an irate and unhand passenger without being provoked. They
then alasta the passenger proceeded to make false allegations that
(03:04):
were in direct conflict with observations from several eye witnesses.
As with any incident occurring onboard and aircraft, federal authorities
are required to conduct an investigation involving all parties to
determine what, if any, offense has occurred. Portia Williams has
every intention to cooperate with the law enforcement to whatever
(03:24):
extent necessary and remains confident that the passenger will be charged.
So again, that's more details. We don't know exactly what
the chain of events are that let up or kind
of what that interaction was, but I'm gonna go back
and I'm going to ask for more details because we'll
also be talking about this following this episode that you
guys are listening to here on the Latest with Laurna
(03:46):
Rosa on the Breakfast Club, but also back here on
the podcast as well. But I will tell you one thing, Portia,
no matter where she is at and what she is on,
she's just so beautiful and so lively.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
So I'm watching this video being removed. So I'm watching
this video.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Of her coming off of this plane and I'm like,
not my girl. Hair is still looking good, face beats,
smile on. She looks up like as if she sees
the camera and she smiles, and I mean, that's how
you gotta do it, if you ate it. At this point,
she is trained for the things, and Bravo Khanna has
been such a big conversation speaking about being trained for
(04:24):
the things, because this is where all of the big
reality stars, all the big Bravo stars meet up.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
They have conversations.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
You had doctor Wendy there addressing the legal allegations for
fraud against her and her husband with Zori Hall a
lot of people there. You also had Andy Cohen drop
a bomb. He was I don't believe he was called
off guard and slipped up in a conversation because it's
Andy Cohen. He knows what he's doing. Like we literally
(04:54):
have Bravo Khan in the Bravo Verse. Okay, a lot
of y'all want to talk about all of this, uh,
you know, Comic Con and the multi verses and all
the things with like the Spider Man's and the Superman's
and not Look, I don't even get into all the Man's.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
One thing I could talk to about is Bravo Verse.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
So he's speaking to an outlet on the carpet at
an event at Bravo Cohn and Andy Comen slips up
and tells us Kay Michelle is going to be coming
to Real Housewives.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Let's take a listen.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
Who's my favorite Atlanta housewife? Coorsha, Kelly, Shania, Angela, Pedra,
Kay Michelle, and angel Uh and Pinky Soky. Michelle is
on the stone. I don't know, did I just confirm
that I gotta go, And a lot.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Of the headlines that ran around this video were like
Andy Cohen slips up and Indy Cohen surprisingly unveils and
I'm like, what Indy coin y'all talking about? Because Andy
Cohen ain't slipping up nothing. I feel like that was planted.
There has been rumors for some months that Ky Michelle
was going to be joining the housewife franchise.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Real Housewives of Atlanta has Ky Michelle front love and
hip hop on their show. Okay, you had to clarify
that though, Okay, but we're gonna speak to that, but
go ahead. And Mary Medicine has Angel from Basketball Wives
on their show Atlanta has run out of you Angel.
She was a nurse, really pretty girl.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
Who is she met?
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Who was the basketball married?
Speaker 6 (06:30):
Are any of them ever married to what we're dealing where?
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
I just know that she was on Basketball Wives like
a number of seasons ago.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
But it might have been like thel.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
Is married to Madison supposedly allegedly filming Now I.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Guess so I saw I saw a picture of her
filming a confessional from married to Medicine. Oh wow, Okay,
so we are we menting and recycling that's what it
looks like. So that's I'm like, out of all the
people in Atlanta. Now, they're like, I really thought the
network or the shows try to like avoid crossovers from
(07:04):
different networks.
Speaker 6 (07:05):
True, but I am like Atlanta is running out of people.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Well because you're using people from other networks now, But
that's when I but eighty five. It stays on traffic,
so they're not running out of people. They got plenty
of people in Atlanta, right, Okay.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Explains but lanes across.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yes, I do want to say, and the traffic is traffic, morning, noon,
and night, like it don't stop.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
Okay, let's talk about Kamushell really quickly.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
And this is allegedly we do not know because it
has not been said officially that she's on the show.
Speaker 6 (07:37):
I'm not mad at it.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
I feel like at first I was like, what, yeah, yeah,
that don't that's weird. But I out of the love
and hip hop because you know, I'm a love hip
hop girl, so out of the love and hip hop world.
Speaker 6 (07:51):
There are very few people that I feel like I
have left that behind.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Them and have gone on to do so many other
things that it really wasn't a factor. But she but
she was already somebody before love and hip hop.
Speaker 6 (08:07):
She was shere, was already who she was before love
and him.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Is that a question?
Speaker 3 (08:12):
No, No, I'm telling you. Oh you're telling me. Yeah, okay.
So I think those type those people can come and go. Okay,
and then you have people, you know, cardiv is one
who was pretty much created on love and hip hop. Yes,
and now she's somebody else. But I think King Michelle
already had her career, That's what I'm saying. So so
her being a housewife, she's married now, her being a housewife, I'm.
Speaker 6 (08:35):
Not mad at it.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
So you're saying love and hip hop doesn't define her exactly.
That's that's what I was trying to say. Okay, So
I'm actually here for it, okay, for for for Kay Michelle,
if that is happening allegedly.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
But I hear what you're saying. Yeah, yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
No, It's just like when I saw that and then
it was Kay Michelle was like, Okay, that's interesting, and
then it was when I saw this other girl, Angel
was filming marriage medicine, I'm like, okay, what.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
Is going on right?
Speaker 6 (09:00):
Peop of people?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Okay, So Robin Dixon and Giselle Bryant. Hey, y'all, these
are the lovely host of the Reasonably Shady podcast. They
are our Black Effect cousins. So some time ago, because
again this has been rumored for some time that kay
(09:24):
Michelle was coming back to reality TV on Reural Housewives
of Atlanta. And since that rumor broke, so ky Michelle
let us know again. She's been dropping little bits and
pieces and then finally she just let it all.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
Out, like it was like randomly. One day she mentioned
being married.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
And I'm like, ky Michelle's married. Like everybody I think
was like, wait, what, Kim Michelle was married? Since when?
And then she started posting about the fact that she
was making country music and just kind of some of
the battles that she was dealing with. So ky Michelle
posted back on August nineteenth, I'm not in the best
space all the time.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I'm human.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
I'm very difficult when I record, very precise, very overwhelmed
with my career, being a mother, and the pressure of
giving my husband, my husband a baby. Immediately then she
put in parenthesis something I want to do for him
in entering a new genre of music, and not only that,
I'm about to release my soul album. Country music is
(10:20):
my soul. Thank God to my team who knows me
and has sheltered me my music, understands my passion. So
then she goes, you know, she's talking about her music
or whatever. But from then on out, it's like, Okay,
Cay Michelle is married, like this is a thing. So
when I saw you know, her beginning to open up
about her relationship her marriage, I'm like, maybe there is
(10:40):
something to this whole cave Michelle might be the cause.
There was supposed to be two new members of Real
Houses of Atlanta at one point and people were saying, oh,
it was Phedra coming back this season and then Ky Michelle,
but Cay Michelle never appeared on a season. So when
I saw this, I'm like, well, maybe something to it.
(11:00):
And we know the last few seasons, in my opinion
of Real Housewives of Atlanta just haven't been like they
need they need a stirrup or a mix up. But
it needs to feel as authentic to reality TV, to
Atlanta reality TV as it can be.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
One of the things I will say.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
So she is that el Brian and Robin Dixon on
Reasonably Shady podcast, you know they mentioned how they felt
about certain things right.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
And one of the things I will say about kay Michelle.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
First of all, she's damn good TV because she's very honest,
she's very authentic. But at the same time, it's just
not about it being for the cameras like kay Michelle
is really kay Michelle. It's a very weird space to own,
and I think a lot of celebrities today, especially reality stars,
don't know how to do that. I think that's why
when we watch Real Housewives of Atlanta, we still love
(11:55):
the Porsche Williams, we still love the ken Yamores. You know,
we want to see Cynthia Bayley. I think Drew came
around to getting there toward, you know, a few seasons
into her Housewords of Atlanta, but a lot of the
newer girls on the show. I know, people loved Angela
Oakley because they said that they felt like she was
one of the og girls, because I think she has
(12:16):
a lot of that balance. But I think a lot
of girls who are new in reality TV that don't
come from celebrity or reality TV or both the way
that a Kay Michelle would, They're not gonna bring what
you need to be brought to make the people return
to loving Real Housewives of Atlanta. I'm telling y'all now,
(12:39):
if you put ky Michelle on the season and allow
us to watch, you know, her new life with her
husband who we don't know, and you know her she's
talking about want to have a baby and build a family,
and you know she's also doing the music thing along
with Portia Williams. If Kingymore decides to come back, I
(12:59):
know she said and definitely that she's not. But if
that's a thing, I think Housewives of Atlanta has a shot.
I think salt their Housewives of Salt Lake City and
Potomac Potomac for real, for real, they just not sh
the girls up a little bit.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
The attention has been there.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
But I think ky Michelle, you know, has a really
good chance of bringing storylines back to where they need
to be on Real Houses Atlanta. I am super excited.
I do not think I agree with Jaselle Bryant. I
do not think that anything in relation to Kate Michelle
on Love and Hip Hop will define who Ky Michelle
will be on Real Houses of Atlanta, but also Kay
(13:40):
Michelle on Love and Hip Hop Low Kids is a
little bit with Atlanta. Need they need to bring it
back to there's some reality in this reality. Like I
think she's going to be the perfect shakeup, and I
think she also has she just naturally has a storyline.
It's been ky Michelle versus everybody, unfortunately for a really
long time. And And when I said that, I don't
(14:01):
mean that she doesn't have fans and she's not talented,
because I think kay Michelle doesn't get it enough about
how talented she is, how she's able to dance in
and out of R and B and country and soul
and all these different music genres because that girl sangs.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
She's sang sang.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
But what I mean is, like, you know, she has
her battle within the country music arena. I also think
because she is very outspoken and doesn't let people run
all over her, she's had to face other battles as
well that we've seen play out throughout her life. She's
also battled health, and she had her show on Lifetime
where she took you through all her surgeries and she
was very honest about that, and you know where to
(14:38):
left her health was and helping other women, And she
just has a lot of complexity to her that I
think that show really needs and there's actual depth there,
like substance there.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
I think in real life she is in love with
the man.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
And wanting to open new chapters in her life because
this relationship and his husband and this idea to his
family was there way before we even knew it was
a thing.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Way before the Real Housewives.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
You know, cameras got to roll in from what we
know of, so to see it play out on camera,
I don't think it's gonna change. Like they're not doing
it for the GRAMD, they ain't doing it for the storyline.
I think she is well beyond that because she has
been doing this for some time and I am excited
to see something like a Kay Michelle, that type of authenticity.
And you know, even though reality TV to a certain extent,
(15:27):
is there, you know, it's the magic of television.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
They make it work. They do what they gotta do,
They make it work. Portia. I think the reason why
even if.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
You love to hate Porsia, you love to hate her,
you still gonna watch her because you feel connected to
her storyline. You feel connected to her good, her bad,
her ugly, her mess.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
She knows how to work it.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Okay, Kay Michelle, gonna give it to us so I'm
looking forward to seeing kay Michelle on reyal Housewives of Atlanta.
And Andycone didn't slip up. He knew exactly what he
was doing, because he knew he was gonna exactly do this.
All the girls who love the house that Nini Leaks built,
and I would love to know what Ninnie Leeks thinks
about kay Michelle. It was kay Michelle rolling out like
she was like slow rolling out her husband. But then
(16:09):
also too, she has started being seen with the Real
Housewives of Atlanta ladies, which typically normally means you about
to be a friend of the show or you know something.
There is something there, like a little offer, something. I
want to hear now that it is even if Ninny
has spoken about it in the past, now that it
is confirmed by Andy Cohen, I want to hear what
Needie Leaks has to say. I care about Nannie Leeks,
(16:32):
Kenya Moore, Porsia Williams, even Candy Birds, and I know
Candy has her show as well too.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
I think I've said this even on my own Cheneral,
I think kay Michelle is an amazing addition to the
Housewives of Atlanta.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
She's going to be on the show, Okay, why do
you say that?
Speaker 7 (16:48):
Because Kay Michelle is with the meaning in reality TV,
people get a bad rap, the people like Kenya's, the
people like me, the people like your mama, the people
like we get a bad rap when we are no
holds bart and we what we feel and we say,
you know, like we get a bad rap. But everybody
can't be the same, and you need people who aren't
afraid to speak their mind. I think Kate Michelle is
(17:08):
a comedian. I think her reads are very funny. I
think Housewives of Atlanta, to be honest, has missed a
personality like that for some years. They've tried a few
different people, but it always don't land like that. I
think she's just naturally funny, and so I think she's
a great addition if she's going to be on the show.
I think it's weird that they have before said no
(17:29):
to people that I thought would have been great for
the show.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
They said absolutely not to people in the past from
other franchises.
Speaker 7 (17:36):
I mean, it's one person that I still to this
day think she would have been amazing housewife Tammy Roman. Oh,
for sure, I think Tammy Roman should have been a housewife.
Speaker 6 (17:44):
It'd be on the show so bad, and they said no.
Speaker 7 (17:48):
When she left Basketball Wives, they said no, and I
was like, she is an amazing addition. She would have
been amazing. Yes, she doesn't mind speaking her mind. She's funny,
she's like as hell. Like I think that that was
just the thing, and they said no, and so I
think it was just different. So what do you think
about now that they're open to it.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
I think it to be interesting.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
What I will say is, you know, obviously, over the years,
you know, there are a couple of people that I
would have suggested, but they always kind of like, you know,
we don't want anybody that's on another franchise or whatever.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
And they they.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Made it seem like it was a thing like the
rule that cannot be broken. That's how they used that,
you know what I mean. So this was kind of
like a surprise to me. I was really shocked by it.
And then I see some people making comments online saying
stuff like, oh, that's gonna make it too love and
hip hop or this or that. What I will say
(18:41):
is that I think I think Cami Show is gonna
be good TV.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
No, that's anyway you put up.
Speaker 6 (18:47):
Anyway you put up.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
So I am curious to see how she mixed with
the other ladies on the show. I think it would
be interesting to hear how her music is displayed on
the show, absolutely, you know, and see who she get
along with and who she don't get along. Absolutely, But yes,
(19:09):
I care about hearing from Cynthia Portia Williams, Candy Birds
and Kenya Moore and Ninni Leeks when it comes to
kay Michelle being on this show, and a lot of
these women have already mentioned how they would feel she
was to join. We just heard Candy.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
I'm telling you, guys, Kay Michelle is going to make
Real Houses of Atlanta feel as close as we're ever
going to get back to a feeling when the full
og cast was there and I am herefore.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Sign me up.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Okay, we will be discussing discussion. We will be discussing
Real Housewives of Atlanta. Okay, this is going to turn
into shout out to our reality with the King, Carlos King,
who's also one of our Black Effect podcast cousins, because
I know he does like a dedicated conversation to reality TV.
I will dig dig dig dig dig and turn back
into the biggest Real Housewife of Atlanta fan because I'm
(20:08):
still a fan, but I do think in these last
couple of seasons, man, like the casting, it just hasn't
It gets you by, Like if you need your little
fix of the girls, because we love our girls, you know,
our real housewife ladies, but if you need your fix
of Atlanta, it gets you by. But it's just it's
not the same Camoschelle's gonna bring it. Okay, we will
