Cicada's. Cicada's is the keyword. This is such a cool story right now.
I got word of this yesterday LisaDunovan call me. Uh. Just

(00:22):
recently at her last book club event, Lisa had Ilion Wu at the book

based author, a mother, andshe wrote the book Master Slave Husband Wife.
And we have Ilion on the showright now because we want to congratulate
her because yesterday she just won thePulitzer Prize for biography for that book.

(00:47):

I'm just in shock. Honestly, this is all very completely surreal.

(01:10):
Yeah. And I loved Lisa's bookgroup. I mean it's I can't believe
it was just a couple of weeksago. I'm a completely tongue tied you

(01:34):
the best books I've ever read. And I guess everyone else agrees. Right,
Oh, thank you, thank youso Illian. If you don't mind
my asking, how do you findout you got the Pulitzer? Like,
who calls you? My agent calledme, Jullie Barr And then the phone
just started going kind of crazy allthe same time. Yeah, do you
know that you're in the running forit? Or is it a complete surprise?

(01:59):
A complete and utter surprise, Imean just absolute shock. Yeah,
it just came from left field. Now, Alien, would you mind terribly
if selfishly we just told everybody thatyou got the Lisa Dunovan book Club book.
Yes, no, I mean it'san amazing book club and I'm so

(02:21):
happy and proud and excited to havebeen part of it. With this love
story and Boston story, you know, like a whole bunch of the story
is set in Boston the whole secondact and the crafts challenge Boston, but
Boston also rises up. It's whatmakes it so exciting to be here in
this town. Has it been optionedfor a movie yet? Oh? I

(02:44):
mean, I think it's going tobe a movie one day. I hope
that people will make a you know, movies and plays and maybe operas.
And I don't know a sculptor's paintings. I think it's a story that invites
participation, and I hope so.And I'd be happy to play like a
tree or something so I could sayI was in the movie. I think

(03:07):
I could make that up, juststanding behind a desk or something. Wow,
this is so cool. So willthere be like a ceremony or something?
Leon, I think there's some sortof yeah, ceremony. I'm not
sure when it is. I don'tthink it's right away. I honestly haven't
looked that far yet. Wow.Well, we are so proud of you.

(03:30):
I still can't believe that we werejust with you a few weeks ago
for our book club. And againI just want to say congratulations, yeah,
thank you, and again I loveyour book club. It's I mean,
it was so exciting to be apart of it, and I can't
wait for future of it. Well, if you don't mind, Ilion,
we've already had the billboards made upLisa Dutdman's Pulitzer Prize winning book Club.

(03:53):
I love you, thanks, Leongood for her. Oh no, it's
like I like feel like like aproud mom. Yeah, you know what?
Is it a little bit better thanwilling the Pulitzer Prize kiss concert?
Oh yeah? Oh? Look atyou? Good? Hey Michelle, this

(04:13):
isn't my wife? Isn't that? You know? She can't call? Uh?
Michelle, congratulations, you're college twentyfive? Oh my god, Hi,
can you guys hear me? Wecan hear you loud and clear.
Do you have a keyword for us? Oh my gosh, yes, I
do get cicada? Yeah, andby the way, what happened with the
cicadas? I thought they were comingin. They were going to attack us.

(04:36):
Do you want to be attacked bycicada's bill? I think the sound
is kind of cool. It's original, okay, sin It's supposed to be
in those most dangerous form of cicadasever, and now they just disappeared anyway,
Michelle hang On. Producer Riley ishanging on for you, and she'll
give you all the information you needand we'll see you a kiss concert.

(04:56):
So how much think about this question? How much would you pay for a
gym membership? What's the max a, mom? Because I guarantee you it
is nowhere near what this gym ischarging. Weird stories next, mook,
Hey, justin before we get toweird stories, I have to share something

(05:18):
that just happened off the air.Okayyeh hit me. We just had a
Pulit surprise winning author local woman wasat Lisa's book club Milton Academy. Mom,
right, won the Pulitzer Prize.Just found out last night. Right
when he turns to me once wesay goodbye and say do you get paid
for the pooprice? She goes, how much does that work? Well?

(05:40):
That's money bags, right, shegets fifteen thousand dollars. I was I
was curious. Yeah, we knowwho you are, Winny money bag.
Yeah, okay, I I teasethis before this actually happened. A man
in Mexico saw earrings online like onInstagram that we all see for twenty eight.

(06:00):
They were Cardia earrings. They itwas a mistake. They're twenty eight
thousand dollars, and he won thecourt case and got to keep the earrings.
The words Cardier and bargain are almostnever said in the same breath,
but the legendary French jeweler has beenforced to extend an enormous discount to one
man after he claimed an error allowedhim to buy two pairs of earrings for

(06:21):
just twenty eight dollars that were supposedto sell for nearly twenty eight thousand dollars.
Wow. Yeah, they lost thecourt case. So Cardia tried a
couple of different things. First, they tried to say that the airrings were
out of stock. When he keptpushing further, they said, well,
actually it was a typo. Andthen he kept pushing further and they wouldn't
give the air rings. And thenyeah, he sued and won. Good

(06:44):
bugs, I'm glad he one.Yeah, speaking of a lot of money.
Equinox Gym, now there are several. I know there's one in the
Seaport district. There's an Equinox andthere one oh that's Life Fitness. Yeah,
it's in a seaport Equinox. Yeah. So they're launching the most expensive
gym membership in the world. It'scalled the Optimize program. This is amazing.

(07:06):
They're teaming up with lab Test,Startup Function Health Optimized by Equinox,
and it includes everything from personal trainingto nutrition. They'll offer sleep coaching,
massage therapy. And this is fortythousand dollars a year for a gym membership.

(07:27):
Oh and by the way, beforeyou take the membership, they launch
a battery of tests everything from heart, liver, kidney health to metabolic and
immune systems, cancer markers, andnutrients. A battery of fitness tests including
VO two max. I don't evenknow what that is. Here's the thing
I'm all about this. I'm allabout health optimizing. God I can and

(07:48):
speak to you. I'm all aboutbiohacking to live a longer life. Right,
But that's just got to be gearedtowards a certain audience of people.
Are certain all those tests could probablyyou at least ten thousand dollars if you
were going to run them yourself.Yeah, right, So that's a value,
Yeah it is. Yeah. Andyou know the training, I get
it. You know, you getthree hours a week of training, the

(08:09):
massage, but I don't know,that's a lot of money. It's a
lot you could you could hire apersonal trainer to come to your house.
Yeah, you get the three onehour training session, but you also get
two half hour sessions a month witha nutrition coach, two half hour sessions
a month with a sleep coach inone massage therapy session per month, sixteen
hours a month of coaching training atEquinox for forty grand a year. I

(08:33):
don't know. Seems price for fortythousand dollars, I need stock in Equinox.
Yeah. Can the sleep coach comeand help my son sleep through the
night? Now it's your fitness sleepcoach. Yeah, okay, I'm going
to switch complete gears and go fromthe gym to Doctor Pepper and pickles.
So there's a new Sonic drive throughorder that if you go to Sonic,

(08:56):
I guess you could do it atyour house too. You order a large
Doctor Pepper and you add pickles inthe in the Doctor Pepper, Yeah,
into the drink. It's a it'sa real thing. But I mean you
can if you listen to the accentshere least you can get an idea of
where this is. You know,no judgment, the white pickles, the
white doctor paper will come only Mabecause my mom finished show you something,

(09:18):
Boto man, take your order please, yes, ma'am, I need to
get a large doctor paper with pickles. All right. We got a large
act of pepper with pickles and you'regonna see the cherries there, ma'am.
And that's gonna be your pickils.Okay, okay, thank you so much,
yes, ma'am. And you havea great day to day with oh
I love them. You have agreat day, all right. So we

(09:43):
talked about Ai at the Mecala becauseKaty Perry was created as like a fake
Katy Perry in the Mecallan. Itfooled her mother. Well, Richard Simmons
has shared an audio message I guessyesterday. But is it really him or
Ai? You need to be thejudge. Yeah, No one really knows
if it is or not. Ithink it sounds like him, but I

(10:03):
don't know. Hi, everybody,it's Richard Happy. May sixth, two
thousand and twenty four. Thank youso much for reading my messages. Roses
are red, Violet seboum. Doyou know how much I love you?

(10:24):
Have a beautiful day. Bye fornow. I think it's fake the way
pronunciation like the stopping, it's aI definitely Okay, let's do a comparison
here. If I told you once, I've told you one thousand times I
love you, that's him. Ithink you're right. Yeah, I don't

(10:45):
think it's him. It's not.He used to come on this show all
the time. He did. Yeah, you know, the rich the real
Richard Simmon sounds like our talkback king, the mayor of the South end.
Well, oh morning, it's themayor of the South that if I told
you once, I told you athousand times. Okay, I need mister

(11:07):
mayor to leave a talk back andsay this. If I told you once,
I've told you a thousand times Ilove you. Yeah, get on
that, mister mayor. Yeah.Meantime, everybody's obsessed with cicadas. Forest
workers in Illinois have decided to educatethe public. This is pretty weird.
They're dressing up like cicadas and actingout their lifestyle. After about a week

(11:33):
after they emerge, the males willgo all up to the tops of the
trees and start singing to attract mates. And when they do this, the
females will start to fly around them, and if they want to show that
a male is worthy of her,she will flick her wings at him and
they will mate. Hey, girl, if I was a fruit fly,

(11:56):
I'd land on you first because you'reso sweet. Okay, all I know,
as if I'm a dad, I'mcoming home the kids say, hey,
what you do today at work?Today? Well, I dressed up
like a cicada, started climbing, all about helping people. But what I
mean, God, a level ofhumiliation now. Anyway, we got to
go here. Any other questions forcoming up on the entertainment? Doja kat

(12:20):
is our headliner at Kiss concert andshe was at the met Gala last night.
We'll hear from her. And how'dyou like to choose from about five
thousand concerts and only pay twenty fivebucks a ticket? I'll tell you Hi,
it's all coming up next. Hey, this is Jared Leto. Then
you're waking up with Billy and Lisain the morning on Kiss. Lisa,

(12:43):
how you doing? Let me checkLisa? How you doing doing well?
Thank you? Thank you? Justingot a couple of talk back before entertainment.
Sometimes we do stories and it getspeople worked up. You know,
we don't mean to do that.We just here to inform you and cover
it all a lot of time.It happens in weird stories. At a
fifteen, we do a story andpeople just get angry about it, which

(13:03):
we understand. Case in point.Today, the Equinox Gym is charging forty
thousand dollars a year for all kindsof things, including training, massages,
and yes, a sleep coach.Forty thousand dollars a year for a sleep
coach. I'll give you a sleepcoach. Bet a drill. That's your

(13:24):
sleep coach. Supposedly, they're goingto help you with all your blood work,
all your labs, help you livea long life, because it's all
about longevity. But forty thousand dollarsis a lot of money, so a
lot of people are upset about that, which which we get. I mean,
I'm not paying that much money, you know, I'm down Planet Fitness
ten bucks a month. Yeah,I'm just saying, here we gole coaching.

(13:48):
What the heck is sleep coaching?Take a gummy and grow up like
the rest of us. Now theentertainment updates with a Billy Cobs dead man.
Here we go. How about thoseBruins. They beat the Panthers in
Florida last night, five to one, taking one nothing lead in the series
Swimen had thirty eight saves on thenight. He says it's a team effort.

(14:11):
I was just so impressed by theway all of us just didn't take
no for an answer. The physicality, the mental and everything was so good
to see. And I'm really excitedfor what's to come. Well, he
sounds like a nice guy, doesn'the? Big guys, Jeremy Swiman.
I feel like that, you know, the lower seed here. I feel
like they need to come out gunsa blazing yeah, because they don't want
to get behind in the series. No, it's going to be a physical

(14:35):
series. Game one in the canmeantime was a big day and a big
night for Brandon Carlo. He andhis wife had their first baby early yesterday
and he had his first playoff goallast night. I don't score very often,
so very cool experience for me.And you know there was a part
played there by God, so verythankful. There you go Game two tomorrow

(14:56):
night in Florida. Then it comesback here to Boston. Meantime, the
Celts and Gabaliers Game one right herein Boston tonight. Coach Missoula is excited
about it, but so is isDerek White. We're all excited. Let's
play again. I think it's gonnabe a big test and to keeps upon
it's a different challenge, and it'sgonna be a good team. It's gonna

(15:16):
be a big challenging probably the four. I love the Derek White story.
Yeah, I mean, how he'sturned his game around this year is incredible.
Like he's the gun. Yeah hewas. He came off the bench,
he was, he was a benchYeah, and he just you know
what, it's all. It reallyjust shows hustle, hard work, dedication

(15:37):
and it all paid off. Andyou know what else pays off. A
good haircut, a good shave.Yeah, yeah, ball, Derek White
is a beast. Yeah, he'son fire anyway. Yeah, Game one
of the series denied Celts and theCavs. By the way, the entire
Billy and Lisa Morning Show is goingto Game one. We will be there.
Met gala the super Bowl of Fashionhosted Zendaia, Chris Hemsworth, j

(16:00):
Lo, Bad Money, and DojaCat, who's coming in is headlining our
Kiss concert. Showed up in areally crazy outfit last night. She was
soaking wet. I'm actually wet rightnow. This is in the water and
how would you describe this look?So I know that people are going to
do flowers, but my flower ofchoice is the most used flower and it's

(16:22):
cotton. So I wanted to doa white T shirt also because a white
T shirt is timeless, and itfelt very poetic to choose this, and
I knew it wasn't going to blendin too much, and I don't really
like to blend in. Yeah, the simplicity of it. I definitely liked.
The theme was the Garden of Time, so I don't know, it
was definitely out there. It waslike a wet T shirt contest. Yeah,

(16:44):
you could see it earlier this week. Wasn't she walking around just in
a sheet? She was? Sheshowed up in a bath tower towel.
She showed up in a white sheet, so a lot of very you know
things she could find around the housebathroom mind him. Yep. A shower
curtain was another one. So creativityexactly. And she's making headlines and she's
coming to kisconcert. Absolutely. Whatwere some of the other crazy outfits last

(17:08):
night? Okay, the one thateveryone is talking about is Kim Kardashian and
her waist size because she was wearinga corset dress that legitimately looked like she
had to have ribs taken out tobe able to fit into it. It
looked like an AI image, likea cartoon. I don't know what was
going on with her waist last night. I don't know how she could breathe.

(17:29):
But that's like blowing up the internet. Well, because just the other
night at the Brady role, shedidn't have that wasist. No, she
didn't. That's why it's a corset. So it's like and she also had
this weird sweater on. I don'tknow what was going on there, but
notables people who weren't there. Taylorwasn't there, Ben Affleck didn't show up,
even though j Low was there. And I think she was one of
the most best dressed people left.Ye she looked gorgeous. And Haley Bieber

(17:55):
was also not there. Was shesupposed to be there? Well, usually
they go to these types of events. So now I saw a video last
night of one person that was beingcarried up the stairs because she couldn't walk,
and the outfit was a Tiler Tyler. She's a singer. She had
just taken a break because of amysterious illness. But I guess she's back.

(18:15):
But yeah, she legitimately couldn't walkin the draft, so people were
lifting her up each of the stairs. Now, didn't we have Tyla on
the Kiss Top thirty Countdown recently?Justin Oh yeah, she's got a big
song. It's called water. Yeah. I love that song. Yeah.
Oh yeah, great South Africa.Yeah, she's beautiful. Well that's what
the met Gala's all about, right, absolute excess craziness access. Yeah.

(18:37):
Yeah. Giselle was also not there, and she usually goes probably expected to
be there, right, Well, she's deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of
her family on Sunday Evenings Roast withTom Brady h This was told to People
Magazine. As always, Jizelle's prioritiesto support her children who are affected by

(19:00):
the irresponsible content that was broadcasting.Do you think there'll be a lawsuit?
No? No, you think therewas a phone call the next morning?
Definitely? Or an angry text? Are you kidding me? I would pay
anything to see the text, LikeI think she knew that this was obviously
happening, but to the extent ofwhat they said I think would be then

(19:23):
as the producer of this show,so I mean Brady, yeah, he
knew everything that was going on.I don't think I don't think they know
every joke correct, but I don'tthink obviously they When he took this on,
he knew it was going to beabout him and Belichick, spygate,
deflay gate. His man ought tobe more you know, deflated ball jokes
or Alex Guerrero jokes. Yeah,I mean, listen, they no hold

(19:48):
bar they I mean, it's aroast right now. Unfortunately, Anthony will
get roasted in the thing. Imean, even you could say Aaron Hernanda,
who has passed away like that issomething. You know. The woman
that he had on Time with cameout yesterday and was talking and she's outraged.
Right, Yeah, some of theAaron jokes were really out there.

(20:08):
Oh, like the stool one.Yeah, it was pretty brutal. And
don't forget Nikki Glazer had some ofthe roughest jokes in the night. Although
she was amazing. She went onStern yesterday she said there were a lot
of jokes she had she didn't getto. But she also suggests when Brady
stood up and went over to Jeffand said, don't talk about craft again.

(20:30):
When he made the massage joke. She says that was real. Brady
was mad, and I believe thatwas for real because I think that,
you know, based on the littleknowledge I have of it, I think
Robert Craft was not a confirmed guestto be there. I didn't know he
was going to be there until Iwas there and I knew everyone else.
I was like, oh my god, Robert crafts here, because I think

(20:52):
there was a vibe that Robert Craftis kind of like like a dad figure
to Tom. He doesn't want tosit there and listen to all these jokes
about him, so maybe he wouldn'tshow. So, yeah, I was
surprised when Jeff made that joke, but I do think that Tom actually was
looking out for him. And Idon't know, I don't think Tom Jeff
would. I hope he wouldn't mindme saying like, yeah. Afterwards,
he was a little like, wasthat was that too? Like he was
a little bit worried. I mean, we have consciences about these things,

(21:15):
you know. We afterwards, wego, did that really hurt his feelings?
And I go, no, youknow, he had to do it
performatively for Robert, I'm sure, but I'm sure it was not an issue
that Jeff is going to hear abouttoday or anything like that. But Brady
didn't think any of the Gizzelle jokeswent too far right, and some of
them were so cruel about the motherof his children, the way he rose

(21:37):
at toast. So when they saidhe put his glass, yeah, like
I generally think that he thinks.I don't know if it's true or not
that she cheated on him or emotionallywith the jiu jitsu guy, and he
doesn't. He's salty, definitely.Yeah, he's got to be humiliated,
it seems. And now she ismine. By the way, was he
drinking tequila like he said or doyou think it was just water? I'm

(21:59):
not sure sure, but he dranka lot of it. Hell he reads
that class. Yeah Yeah. LiveNation Concert Week. This is a big
deal. It starts tomorrow and lastsfor a week. Twenty five dollars tickets
for thousands of shows, including Kissconcert, So good idea to jump on
that starting tomorrow. But in themeantime, you can also go to Kiss
oneway dot com right now and secureyour tickets for a Kiss concert. The

(22:23):
weather it's probably going to be justlike it is today beautiful, doesn't it
make uneat can't wait? Yeah?Just announced the new Comilicabo album will be
out June twenty eighth. The newBillie Eilish album, Hit Me Hard and
Soft comes out next Friday. Andshe's changing a couple of listening events.
One of them is at the BarclayCenter in New York, the other at

(22:45):
the Key of Form in La.Both are next week. And Paramount is
coming out with a Lollapalooza documentary. It'll be in three parts and it will
be out May twenty first. Andby the way back to the met Gala,
I guess Rihanna was going to bethere, but she came down with
the flu. We don't have theflu and go to Meccala. No,
you really don't, but we gotthat this morning. And we're brought to

(23:07):
you by Wilson Farm in Lexington, your home for everything Mom. You can
take Mom to Wilson Farm for thebrightest flowering plants to make her smile,
visit the open air nursery, pickfrom their stunning selection of proven winters,
tropical plants and hanging baskets. Justgo to Wilson Farm. Do it for

(23:27):
Mother's Day and there you go.Hi, this is Bill mcnickiy. I'm
hanging and banging with Billy Costa greatjob. And then that report, Billy,
how insightful? What an idiot? So we're back with a Villy and
Lisa in the morning. Well we'renot only back, but we're joined by
our old friend Keith Lockhart. Maestro, welcome back, buddy. Hi guys,

(23:48):
good to see you, Good tosee you. So now it's the
spring pop season. It is thespring pop season. Another season is upon
us. Is my twenty ninth hereand it's the orchestras one hundred and thirty
eighth Spring pop season. But who'scoming? And it's it's a great season
this year, starting on Friday withthe inimitable Harry Conic Junior. I love

(24:11):
that is. Let's go see HarryConic. Yeah, he's an amazing performer,
and extending for five weeks after that, including Broadway Star Sudden Foster,
two movies with the orchestra playing thescores live encanto, so bring the family
for years in Jurassic Park two andlet Me See what else? So many

(24:33):
other things over the period of time. The Music of Queen with Mark Martel,
who is the guy who voiced BohemianRhapsody, one of the best movies
ever. Yeah. I'm not abig biopic person. Yeah, but that's
that movie. But it sounds sogreat because of Mark Martel. Wow,
next week Wednesday, Thursday, you'redoing Jurassic Park. We are, Yes,

(24:57):
dinosaurs will be living again in SymphonyHall. What's what's the joke there
somewhere? Yeah, what's the mostdifficult show that you conduct? So to
speak? Oh? Wow, youmean this season? Like movies are always
big challenges. There's also a wonderfulshow we're doing called Eyes of the World,

(25:18):
which is with this amazing American historiannamed John Monsky, and it is
telling a story of from D Dayto the end of World War Two through
the eyes of the really interesting thewar correspondents who were there, people like
Ernest Hemingway and J. D.Salinger and the it is. It's all

(25:40):
integrated all the way through with video, stunning photography and pictures from that you
haven't seen before of the invasion andand uh and wow. And John's own
narrative, his storytelling narrative thing andthe music of the time that's going to
be really difficult to put together. And we're putting that together for PBS airing
later on. So that sounds likea good one. So I have to

(26:03):
do my homework for that one,I suppose. And you're doing Gershwin rhaps
all the way through the season onmany of the concerts we're paying tribute to.
Believe it or not, Rhapsody inBlue is one hundred years old this
year, having premiered premiered in Januaryof nineteen twenty four, and so we're
doing we're remembering why Gershwin is really, you know, an American treasure.

(26:26):
Let's let's see if we can stumpthe DJ justin. You got Rhapsody in
Blue in there? Oh my god. Yeah. Wait. We wanted to
mention too that you're having your firstever Pride Night program. We are,
and with this amazing performer. Theirname is Thorgy thor and they were a
I guess a big star of theeighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Oh

(26:48):
wow, I'm not a regular viewer, so I didn't see that. But
an amazing a great violinist as wellas you can imagine, a pretty fabulous
show person. And it's a it'sa great show. I can't wait to
work with her actually and wow, very very excited about that. So we're
doing it on June, first firstday of Pride month, and hopefully it'll

(27:11):
you know, it'll be the firstof a series. If you just tuned
in, we're talking to Pops conductorthe Maestro Keith Lockar. I love it
when you say that, it's yourItalian roots, right. The spring pop
season kicks off May tenth. Bythe way, you can go to Boston
Pops dot Org for your tickets. You've got to get some of these tickets
in advance. Now, when HarryConnick Junior comes in, is it all

(27:33):
Harry Connick music or how do youguys like work together? Oh? Well,
it's he It's Harry and his bandand the Boston Pops collaborating on the
whole second half of the program, and the first half of the program is
going to be the Gershwin celebration thatI told you about. He's he's a
great performer. I've performed with himbefore, not in symphony hall, so
this is exciting for me. He'ssuch a nice guy. Years ago I

(27:56):
actually sat in the lobby of theFour Seasons Tell on the piano bench while
he played the piano it's it's amazingto watch. It's like he's such a
talent. That's I want to go. Is he just down there like three
in the morning. He was theredoing some shoot TV shoot or movie shoot
or something and somebody set it upput But uh, okay, are we

(28:17):
allowed to talk about what the Julyyet? Or no? I just got
this. I can tell you.No, I can tell you. I
can tell you what keeping that's aconcert on the fourth of July. Come
on, die in, which Ibelieve is a Thursday this year. I
tell you that. Yeah, thereyou are and it's going to be great.

(28:41):
Really, key, come on?Is that disappointing? What do you
have to like announce you get adoct pay or something if you get an
or no, I've never done it, so I don't want to find out.
At this point. Oh boy, everybody's looking at me. Twenty nine
years of towing the corporate line. Can I ask big line up? Yes,
excellent lineup? Great show. We'reheading into of course next year,

(29:04):
believe it or not, it's goingto be my thirtieth of those. And
in twenty twenty six is the twohundred and fiftieth birthday of the United States
and of course the first July fourthconcert that really hit national attention here was
the nineteen seventy six bi Centennagal one. Wow. Now you know you talk
to authors and your arms, Sodo you have a place you go when

(29:27):
you write your books and everything? And most of them have like a quiet
little corner up in the attic orsomething. When you're scoring music, do
you have a place you like tobe or go? Well, when I
study, it's kind of funny.Actually, we have two spaces of work
as studies in our house, andI get one and my wife gets one.

(29:47):
And we switched about the beginning ofthe pandemic because she was doing you
know, eight hours of zoom interviewsa day, and the kids would come
home and they'd be in the kitchenand they'd be practicing the piano, which
is down right now next to theother space and all that. So I
said, well, I'm not doingvery much, so I'll just take that
one. And now that I'm backto doing very much, I have to
make sure I get my studying inbefore like, you know, three point

(30:08):
thirty, because then one of thekids come home and says, I think
i'll do my piano practicing now andno, no, I'm still studying.
No, it's it's all great, but you know, you got to you
gotta live with other people. Butthe kids good on the piano, Yes,
what would you expect? Do youhave a grand piano? Yes,

(30:29):
I have a very nice you know, and they get the practice on a
better piano than they get to playat any other point. Yeah, lessons
of recitals. No, it's they'rethey're great. They both love it.
And one of them, in particular, I think, is going to grow
up and be Billy Joel. Sowowwesome. Do the neighbors know that Keith
Lockhart lives next floor? Well,it's very funny. Actually, I have
a neighbor who is a high schoolOrchester director. Young young kids just start

(30:55):
just starting out. So I thinkthat's so there's you know, the conductor
neighborhood. Yeah, that's a lotof synergy, possibly a collaboration with the
neighbor. It's always funny for theFourth of July when the you know,
the caravan shows up, the entourage, the you know, the state police
and everything to bring us to theesplanade. It's always funny to see people

(31:15):
who didn't know looking out the windowgoing as that man being arrested. You
know, Keith, you commit everyyear. I've never asked you, where
are you from? But Keepsie,New York? Oh, I didn't know.
He told born and raised. Myparents were both ibm Ors. Was
a company town totally when I wasa kid in the fifties and sixties.

(31:36):
I have no connections there now.I haven't been back in twenty some years.
Was my parents retired and moved away. No family there, but I'm
from there, and so is gGordon Liddy, Don McLean, so dom
Clan. So what you're saying isyou're the biggest storm come out of I
didn't writ it. I didn't writeAmerican pot. That's quite a song.

(31:57):
Yeah, okay, twenty nine yearsYeah, celebrating with the Pops unbelievable.
So the spring season kicks off Maytenth, it goes to June eighth.
It sounds like you've got some greatthings planned. Uh, folks, if
you want to get your tickets, they make it easy, just go to
Boston Pops dot Org. Should Igive the phone number if people do that

(32:19):
anymore? Do people actually call upand check? Let's give it eight eight
eight two six six. Well, now that's weird. It says eight eight
eight two sixty six one two zero. Is that you get a special number
of something, Keith, because you'rethe miwo zero zero Okay eight eight eight
two six six one two zero zeroday typo. So you're going to come

(32:43):
back and give us the exclusive onthe fourth of July. If you ask,
I'm asking you build it, theywill come, Okay, Keith Lockhart,
the my ace jo right here onKids Kids One Waits the morning wrap
up on Billy and Lisa in themorning. Oh man, beautiful Tuesday.
Enjoy it. It's bought to rainfor how long? A week straight?

(33:04):
All right? Don't bring it upfour or five days. Just keep that
in the back of your head asyou're enjoying this beautiful day. It's going
to be in the upper seventies. We had a busy show here on the
Billy and Lisa Show. Concert Weekstarts tomorrow. You can get Kiss concert
tickets for twenty five bucks. Andby the way, Doja Cat is the
headliner. She was at the Mechalalast night. I'm actually wet right now,
Yeah, completely wet. So didshe like go in a shower and

(33:30):
then just go out to the runwayor she was dripping water. She must
have been dripping water. We hadone of those spray bottles and they just
kept spraying her until God is whatif they needed. Yeah, I can't
imagine what she's going to be doinga kiss concert. Whatever it is,
it's going to be great, honestly. So if you missed it, Yeah,
I'm gonna be out tomorrow through Friday. I'm having a little knee surgery.

(33:51):
So thank you to Winnie producer Rileyfor covering my duties. I'll be
okay. Hey, justin just wantedto wish you good luck tomorrow the same
surgery and they know what they're doing. You're gonna be great, and it's
a fine surgery. One cool thingthough, since it is a orthoscopic,
my surgeon had a camera that heput in my knee and he actually took

(34:13):
pictures and gave them to me.So if you can get the pictures,
it's pretty cool to see what's insidethere. Good luck buddy next week.
So that's another thing that could belost in my knee as a camera.
Oh yeah, you know, Idon't want anything dropped. Well, you're
going to that special discount knee outlet, aren't you. They have one in
New Hampshire, it'd probably be aveterinarian herself. You know. It's so

(34:36):
funny. My mother asked me,she said, you know, because she
worked in the medical field. MassGeneral. She said, where are you
getting the surgery? Not in NewHampshire. I'm like, yeah, but
I'm getting it done at Mass Generalin amazing course. Will come out right
before you and just walk out ofthe doctor's office. God. A lot
of Mother's Day talk, obviously,Mother's Day coming up this Sunday, and

(34:59):
you know, we we had adiscussion about what if mom's want or don't
want? Right, this is agood thing right here for Mother's Day,
my mother and I are taking abucket list trip to Ireland. We leave
Saturday night and we will be therefrom Sunday to Thursday. And we're very
excited about it. Nice. That'spretty cool. That's cool. No,
that's good. It's the trip ofa lifetime. Ireland's supposed to be viewed

(35:23):
if I haven't been. What agreen, very green, very green rush.
That is a good trip, youthink, ye. Happy Mother's Day
everyone. You guys have me thinkingabout Mother's Day and I was thinking,
hmm, what could I do andthen I realized that my daughter has back

(35:45):
to back softball games on Sunday. That is just cruel. That is just
cool. Well, hopefully your yourdaughter's, your family, your husband will
do something around the game. OhI don't know, man, those weekend
doubleheaders and you're going to get those. All you do is sit out in
the parking lot on the beach chair. I'm melting in the sun. Your

(36:06):
kid will probably quit by high school. Waste of everyone's time. Okay,
well then there's that. I'm tryingto encourage my son. Oh God,
a big moment for Lisa and herbook club. Ilean Wu, who Lisa
had in the book club, wanta Pulitzer prize. We had her on
to celebrate. Yes, Hi,good morning. I can't believe my mon

(36:27):
kiss went away. We can't believeyourn kiss went away. And you just
want a Pulletzer prize. Yeah,I'm just in shock. Honestly, this
is all very completely surreal. It'sreally really special. Yeah, at least
do you have a date on thenext book club. Yes, it's June
fourth, It's Marissa Meltzer at VeronicaBeard and we will be posting the link

(36:50):
very soon. Awesome, There comesanother pulitzer. It's very small. Yeah,
it's very small. It's like onefourth of No, it's an intimate
space people, Yeah, very intimate, very intimate. Yeah yeah. And
they'll be wine. There will befrom ninety plus sellers. Do you think
they have a room but to cleanthe inside of it? What do you
think when? What do you thinkthey ever think? They were a room?

(37:13):
Blind? Brown from the Boston Celtics. And we're back with Billy and
Lisa. In the morning, wekiss, went away Billy and Lisa.
When we ball them tonight, Idon't think it's anytime soon. Tonight.
He wants to know when we're balling. We're balling. This is as close
as it's going to get. Yeah, we're going tonight. So I guess
we've been balling. Yeah, we'rebawling in the in the Celtics suite,

(37:36):
some pizza and some hot times.I can't wait to see Daddy Jay on
the court. Oh yeah, therewe go. Love him. So Justin
walked into the studio a couple ofminutes ago. He said, there was
just a shooting at Drake's house. What's going on? This is breaking news.
According to TMZ, there has beena shooting. There's an investigation at
Drake's mansion. It's called the Embassy. It's in Toronto. There's not many

(37:58):
details released, but they're currently onthe scene and somebody was shot and brought
to the hospital with serious injuries.Okay, we're breaking news this morning here
on CB twenty four Breakfast. Thisfrom the Bridle Path area where a police
investigation is underway at Drake's home.Chopper twenty four is above the scene this
morning. It shows the street shutdownjust outside of twenty one Park Lane Circle.

(38:20):
That property belongs to the Rapper.Crime scene take can not only be
seen outside, but also in thefront corner yard driveway of Drake's home.
It's not clear at this point whatthe nature of the investigation is. It's
also unclear if this is connected toan overnight shooting that police have told us
about in the area where shots rangout. This is in the Bayview and
Lawrence Avenue area, which is inthe sort of general area of Drake's home.

(38:42):
So this is just after two o'clockthis morning. In this case,
one person taken a hospital with seriousinjuries. Yeah, so, I mean,
obviously any shooting anything like that isoff awful. But this is especially
troubling because he's in an ongoing feudwith rapper Kendrick Lamar. Right. We
don't really cover that on Kiss, but it is on It's gotten very nasty.
They're trading songs back and forth, act accusing one another of being a

(39:05):
pedophile, woman beater, child, abandon her. I mean in Kendrick the
last one that the last song thisweekend that he posted the cover rot for
the song was Drake's House. Ohboy, I didn't do a leap a
break it down on SNL over theweekend. She did a little skit.
It was kind of a more funnything, but getting very seriously violent.
If these things turn violant. Lookat Tupac and Bigie. Yeah, you

(39:28):
know so. I don't know ifthe two are related, but it's a
little strange. It's a very upskillidhboy. Yeah, Drake's houses. You
know, it's called the Embassy.I don't know if you've seen pictures of
it. I can only imagine whatit looks like. It's incredible. It's
got a full length NBA sanctioned basketballcourt inside the house. What It's unbelievable.
Yeah, his house is is Idon't even I don't know what the

(39:50):
price tag is, but it's many, many, many many many super expensive
too. Yeah, so what willkeep following the story? Keep you updated
on Wow, shooting is really seriousregardless of what's going right, A scary
development. I wonder was Drake Holme? Does anyone to know if he was
even because a lot of times theyhad these big houses and they're not even
there half the time. You neverknow if they're home or not. You
never Yeah. Yeah, but hehas a full staff of people obviously taking

(40:14):
care of the whole house. Ohsure, it's the embassy man. Yeah,
I'm gonna make a joke about it. Yeah, with them, God,
what's next? Bill? Call meDrake bitch. Hey, this is
Ta Gray and we're back with aBilly and Lisa in the morning on Kiss
one o eighth. Yeah, we'reback. A couple of minutes left before
if you have to say goodbye andwelcome into mind. He won. But

(40:36):
the Bruins, if you're just wakingup, just getting going, the Bruins
took Game one last night pretty easilytoo. If I've won the final over
the Panthers and Celtics have a Gameone against the Cavaliers in Boston t d
Garden. Tonight the Billy and LisaMorning Show are going Yeah, go Celts.
Good morning. Liz calling in fromLee High Valley called in a few
times now Lisa's hometown. Just wantedto call and say, can't wait for

(41:00):
the Celtics night. My husband isa Cavaliers fan. So bring it on,
Go Celtics. Let's go. Now. There's a kid from Mathiyan on
the Cavaliers. There is, Yeah, yeah, George, Yep, yep.
He lives. He grew up rightdown the street from where I live
in Mathian. Yeah really yeah, wow. And he's very and he's very

(41:23):
He's tough. He's a tough guy. If you watch the previous series,
you don't mess around. You know, he's playing for the enemy though he's
playing. Yeah, yeah, he'sgonna have to be an enemy for the
next several games. All right, even though he's a Mathian kid. We're
all about the Celtics. Okay, okay, all right. Bill's already planning
what time he's leaving the game, justin you know it's going to be He's

(41:44):
he's freaking out about parking uber, but I'm gonna leave early. Yeah,
the whole game I am too,but I don't have to work justin good,
don't rub it in, mister,I've got the next three days off.
I know, Wayne. How comethe producer Riley doesn't have tickets for
the game. She can't join usat the game tonight. Okay, Bill,

(42:08):
I would love to teams go.I love her to come. I
can justin. Do you want toask them? Yeah, I mean I'll
ask what they going to say?We all have plus ones? Yeah,
so Billy Bringers your plus one.I was gonna, in all honesty,
I was gonna bring hers my plusone. Yeah. What happened there?
But I know cages and I wasn'tsupposed to say the name. You just

(42:32):
said her name that was coming.Okay, Okay, my girlfriend can't go,
she's working, so it should haveautomatic who are bringing bringing America's guests?
So everything, dude, Sophy couldn'tgo. I was going to invite
Ryder so producer Riley's third best. How far down the list is? Sorry?

(42:55):
She was on top of mine, after my girlfriend and my best friend
Sophie. If I know her, probably already had tickets from somebody else she
did. Oh god, anyway,Yeah, I'll be out Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday. You guys are going todo great. I'll miss you guys.
I'll be resting up. But yeah, you know what I think about

(43:15):
show, we apologize in advance.Just know we're doing our best. Yeah,
I'll be back on Monday. I'mjust getting a little surgery, that's
all. A lawyer had just undergonesurgery, and as he came out of
the anesthesia, he said, whyare all the blinds drawn? Doctor,
Well, there was a big fireacross the street and we didn't want you
to wake up and think the operationwas a failure. I'll be fine.

(43:39):
