This Bingie beef Jerkey podcast of theLeach Report is also presented by Boons Butcher
Shop, one hundred old Bloomfield Pikein Barnestown, fresh meat cut on location
daily and they're family owned and operated, have been since nineteen forty six.
Good day, everybody, Welcome into the show presented by Bobcat Enterprises.

(00:20):
Thanks to Dick Gabriel for pinch hitting. Yesterday, I had a speaking engagement
for a group breakfast meeting in downtownLex and so Glad Gabe could step in
and give you some great content withBush Hampden, the UK's offensive coordinator,
talking about the addition of quarterback GavinWims. We'll talk a little bit about

(00:43):
that a little later today when JustinRoland visits with us from Cats Illustrated.
We'll have a goose Jack Gibbons andthen Toby Rowland, who's the play by
play voice for the Oklahoma Sooners. And what I'm going to try to do
over the coming weeks is get someone, hopefully to talk about all of the
transfers, either radio guy, newspaperguy, somebody who just covered them.

(01:08):
Give us a little more insight intosome of these guys that are coming in
Toby's The Playboy play vos or Oklahoma. So he'll talk about otega Oway and
we will get to that here injust a moment. But first Wildcat News
of the Day, presented by Giuseppesof Lexington. Trent Noah signing with Kentucky

(01:29):
yesterday after getting his release from SouthCarolina. The Harlan County product averaged thirty
points a game last season for ateam that finished as the state runner up
to now teammate Tyler Perry's or TylerTravis Perry's Lion County team. One of
the elite shooters in this class ishow Mark Pope described Trent Noah quote,

(01:52):
will bring a grit, toughness, and determination to the program that is representative
of this state. A nice linethere, and obviously a popular addition to
the team for the BBN. Twoof the highest scoring guys in the history

(02:13):
of Kentucky basketball joining now to playtogether for the University of Kentucky and Travis
Perry the all time leading scorer.Trenton Noah again the top five and two
elite shooters, which is no doubta big part of what Park Pope wants
to build in terms of the wayhis teams will play here at Kentucky moving

(02:38):
forward. So great pick up yesterday. They're up to ten now and we'll
see who else joins the fold betweennow and yeah the next month or so.
The players that enter the NBA Drafthave until almost the end of May
to take their name out. Thed One Baseball site projects Kentucky as the

(03:00):
number one overall seed for the NCAAtournament. How about that. Kentucky heading
down to Florida tomorrow for a weekendseries. Had lunch with Darren Hedrick and
Gabe and Doug Flynn and others yesterdayWe're talking little baseball, and Darren leaves

(03:22):
Kentucky's in a great spot as faras securing one of the top eight national
speeds. I was reading one ofthe stories about this projection yesterday and it
said, assuming it's accurate, thatit's going to be awfully hard for anybody
to crack into what would now beprojected as the top eight. So Kentucky

(03:42):
just finishes solidly in these last twoseries against Florida this weekend in Gainesville and
then next weekend against Vandy here atLexington, the Wildcats will be positioned to
not only host the first round regionaland if they advance out of that,
then they would host a regional forthe first time ever. Really great season

(04:03):
that coach Benjeon and company have puttogether to this point and now hopefully can
close it out with a strong lastcouple of weekends here in the regular season.
Jordan Burks has found his new basketballhome. He's going to transfer to
Georgetown and play for the Hoyas thiscoming season. Was Jordan well CJ.

(04:23):
Conrad as his first job as afull time position coach. He's going to
be the new tight ends coach atKent State, and I think you will
do fantastic in that role and theones that will follow. I think he's
going to be a rising star inthe coaching ranks. So nothing but good
wishes for CJ. Conrad. TylerUlis who I think has a bright future

(04:46):
as a coach as well. Heis going to be joining coach Cayle's staff
out at Arkansas. Not really asurprise there. Tyler did great work in
his time here. I was reallyimpressed with him. Best wishes to Tyler
Uless. Links to the stories thatwe talk about each day. You can
find those on the bud Light LeachReport page at Tom Leechky dot com.

(05:10):
Our Triple Crown coverage this spring presentedby Clayborne Farm doing the usual unusually well
for more than a quarter a century. Mister Dan back on the track yesterday
for the first time since he wonthe Kentucky Derby. Trainer Kenny McPeak said,
quote, I like what I seesaid. The horse is doing well,
eating well. They'll continue to monitormistic Dan and McPeak may not decide

(05:31):
until as late as Monday, whenentries are taken whether or not mistic Dan
will run in the Preakness. Let'sget to a break, we come back.
We'll hear from Toby Rowland about otegaOway the goose Jack Gibbons a little
later justin Rowland in the final portionof the show. For this Thursday edition
of The Leech Report, our openingsegment of Wildcat News presented by Giuseppes of

(05:55):

So take advantage of that. Makeyour reservation at Useppes Lexington dot com.
And get out to celebrate a specialoccasion with a special dit out at Juseppes.

(06:16):
Go to open Table as well. This is the Leach Report. We'll
be right back Thursday. Edition ofthe Leads Report coming to you from the
Clark's Pumping Shop studio. Return,Refresh and refuel at Clark's Download. They're
app to get all the monthly specialsfor May. There are a lot of
new players to talk about in theKentucky men's basketball program, so over the
coming weeks we're going to try andgive you a little more insight into the

(06:41):
transfers. In particular, they're talkingwith the guys who covered their games.
Joining us next to the Club BlueNil Hotline is Toby Rowland. He's the
radio play by play voice for theOklahoma Sooners who are coming into the SEC
this season. So what can youtell us about otega Oway? Toby delightful
young man. First, I've reallybeen a pleasure to get to know him

(07:02):
the last couple of years. Heis an elite athlete. His brother as
a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens.Incredible family from an athletic perspective, can
jump out of the gym. That'sreally his game. He's not a great
outside shooter, although he did improvefrom his freshman to sophomore year. But

(07:27):
his game is driving and slashing andfinishing. As there was an outstanding defender,
plays bigger than his size at sixfoot five. But you got an
elite athlete in otega Oway. WhatKentucky has lacked I think in the last
couple of years is a guy likeit had a little over a decade ago,
and it was about sixty six longarms, could get down and could

(07:51):
guard about any position. Could probablyhave hung in with a five for a
little bit, but it could couldguard any other position. Similar kind of
thing. Yeah, I think soAgain, I would say I would be
skeptical against the five, but anybodyelse. Certainly he can hold his own.
He's never lacking for effort and lovesto embrace the defenses into the floor.

(08:18):
So I think he got a goodpick up here and he'll be a
great teammate, locker room guy aswell. Is there a good bit of
upside left? It sounds like adefensive games is already a good spot offensively,
is their upside left? He couldcontinue to develop that shot. He
did take a nice step in histhree point shooting last year, it went

(08:41):
down in conference play. He startedfantastically and the shooting kind of deteriorated once
he got into conference play. Butif he could continue to work on that
part of his game, maybe evendevelop a little bit of an isolation game.
I've always thought he would be goodif you throw him the ball at
the elbow and kind of career out. He's such a good finisher around the
rim that if he can get astep on a guy, you know,

(09:05):
it's it's a bucket. But theroom for growth is in his outside shooting,
for sure, and at six footfive, he probably needs to become
a little bit better outside shooter. What about getting to the line? Is
that something he did well? Absolutely, yet more free throws than anybody on
Oklahoma's team last year, and it'sbecause of getting out in transition. It's

(09:30):
because of his ability to get tothe rim. Pretty Much everything he wants
to do is to get into thepaint and to the rim, and so
because of his athleticism and physicality,it did lead to him taking a bunch
of free throw attempts. Tybo TellyRolin. He's the radio Playboy play voice
for the talking about Oteo away comingto join Mark Pope's program at Kentucky.

(09:52):
Let's talk a little bit about theSooners coming into the SEC. What's is
it something the fan base is buzzingabout? Oh, for sure. It
feels like it's been a long timesince we found out this news. It
has been a long time, andso for it finally to come to fruition
here on July first, everyone isthere are some friends and rivalries that we'll

(10:16):
miss in the Big Twelve, butthe excitement of being in the elite conference
in collegiate sports, in the newstadiums and arenas and fan bases that we're
going to have a chance to experienceboth on the road and welcome them to
our great campus, we are beyondit. Every time a new schedule comes

(10:39):
out for what it's going to looklike next season, our first season in
the SEC, it's a big storyaround here. So fan base is definitely
buzzing. Let me ask you oneother thing, because this is a guy
the Sooners would have gone up against, Brendan Garrison coming in from Oklahoma State.
Anything you can tell us about himfrom seeing him on a limited basis,
Yeah, real little bit in begettingbecause I like him a lot.

(11:03):
He was pretty raw last year asa freshman, but you can tell the
upside that this young man has. He's an Oklahoma City area kid, and
I think he's got a chance tobe a really special player. And I
think Mark Pope will be the perfectguy to develop him guy skills. And

(11:24):
you know, he kind of hadone go to move last year and if
you could sit on his left shoulder, he had a pretty good chance of
taking that away. But he'll grow, he'll develop. He's very good on
the defensive end. Fouled probably alittle too much last year, at least
in the games that we saw him. But as a freshman, there's not

(11:46):
a lot of freshmen true freshman playedin the Big twelve, and he was
one of them, and maybe thebest one we had in our league last
year, certainly one of the best. So Kentucky also got a very good
pick up there, and I thinkit was probably down to Okla Home in
Kentucky for his services. And Iknow there were a bunch of disappointed Sooner
fans because he's going to be agood player. Toby, I appreciate the

(12:07):
time. Look forward to crossing pathsin a press box, all right,

Friday, ten am to two pmEastern. The Ghost Jack Gibbans joins us
Now and Goose. Did you geta chance to see Trenton no en action
in the NCAA or in the Sweetsixteen? You know, Tom, I
did not, I think, youknow, with Kentucky playing, I didn't
have a chance to see him,but man, I talked to so many

(13:54):
people who did, and there wasas much buzz about this young guy as
there was for Travis Perry when itcame to when it comes to the superstars
of the State tournament. I thinkhe he had what forty points something like
that, Yeah, forty eight oneof them. He brought his team back

(14:16):
to get a win. And Imean it seems like so many people were
impressed. And these are guys whoI trust, who know basketball. I
haven't had a chance to meet theyoung man, but I do know a
number of people down there in thatarea who know him, know his family,

(14:37):
and they're just static that he's nowpart of you know, the Wildcat
team. So I'm really I'm reallyhappy, you know how it is Tom
when we play against those players whoplayed in the state of Kentucky and who
wanted to come here, and weplayed the Loftons and those kind of guys,
man, and they just come backand just eat us up when we

(15:01):
play them. I saw that happeningwith this young man. He's very gifted.
Yeah, good size, and youknow, it's one thing Kentucky fans
love to see Kentucky kids on thisteam. And so you've You've got Perry
and Noah, but it's not justtwo Kentucky kids. It's the two guys

(15:22):
who led their teams to the statechampionship game, two of the top scorers
in the history of high school basketballin Kentucky, and both are just great,
lighted up shooters. Yeah. Soa lot of promise with these guys,
you know. I know it's everybody'sgoing to be comparing and wanting to
know if these you know, asgood as Reid. You know that's coming.

(15:46):
I don't know if they will proveto be that good or not,
especially in their first year at Kentucky, but I can see them growing over
the course of their time here.I think we're all going to be really
really pleased with both of these youngguys because they they like to shoot the
ball and they can shoot it withthe best of them, and that always

(16:10):
is good basketball For those of uswho who like offense. Yeah what BYU
was running last season with Mark Pope, These guys would seem to be an
ideal fit. Yeah yeah, becauseyou spread the floor and you know,
you have guys who can shoot thebasketball. I mean, it's one thing
to want to shoot it, butit's another thing to have a whole offense

(16:32):
designed to get shots from behind thethree point line. So both of these
guys should fit right in. I'minterested to see the jump in their game
with more coaching, with more competitionand practice every day. I read a
lot that competition every day in practice, you can't take any days off,

(16:55):
and I know both of these youngguys like to work. So it's gonna
be fun. That is the GooseJack Gibbons and take a break. Come
back with a little more from Jackand make sure you're following him on social
media and exits at Goose Givens, follow on Facebook, get the updates on
when he'll have book signings coming upfor they call me Doug Bronk. We're

(17:15):
halfway home on the Leach Report, presented by Bobcat Enterprises. We'll be right
back half way home on this Thursdayedition of the Leach Report. Joining us
of the Club Blue l Hotline isthe goose Jack Gibbons. Another one of
last season's Wildcats has found his newcollege basketball home. Jordan Burke's headed off
to play for the Georgetown Hoyas.I know you were a big fan of

(17:37):
Jordan's. Yeah, you know,he improved as much more than anybody on
the team from the time he startedto the time he left. You know,
actually, of all the guys wehad on the team, I didn't
know much about the new ones comingin, but of all the guys we
had on the team, he wasone that I was hoping would would stay

(18:04):
because his upside is huge. Justfrom the improvement in this game from start
to finish, Uh was very promising. So yeah, I'm glad he's I
hope he's happy. He's one ofthose kids who just just got to love
man because he's Oh, he's gota smile on his face. You knew
that, tile man, he wasvery accommodating. If I needed an interview,

(18:27):
he would run out to talk tome. I mean he was that
kind of guy. Again, oneof the of all the guys on the
team, he was one that Iwish would have would have stayed. Coach
Pope has put together a group often players now with adding Trendoa. For

(18:48):
next season, I would imagine theymay try to add one or two more.
What do you think they kind ofplayer do you think they're looking for
or most need? Well, Ithink another score. I know everybody's talking
about need a guy who can justgo get a bucket when when you need

(19:08):
it. I kind of agree withthat. It'd be nice to have another
one. I think we will probablydevelop a couple of the guys we have
who have potential to be that guy. So I don't think we're left high
and dry in that category. Butit's always good to add another guy who

(19:30):
who can score, who you cangive the ball to and just say make
something happen. You know, CoachKyle had those kind of guys all the
time, but with the offense hewas running, he he had to have
one of those guys. He did, you know that dribble drive and be
able to create and and get that. I don't think Mark's offenses is going

(19:53):
to be constructed and designed the sameway. So you may or may not
need that kind of player, butthey're always good to have, There's no
question about that. So I wouldthink he'll wait and see who drops out
of the NBA wish list. Youknow, they want to get there,
but they're not quite good enough yet. There'll be a couple of those guys

(20:15):
that he can add, So noconcerns at all from me when it comes
to adding that kind of player.Yeah, at the moment, it looks
like this would be a group whereyou know, your leading scorer might average
fourteen to fifteen a game and notup around twenty, right, And I
hope so, I hope we haveI would love to see that we have

(20:36):
ten guys who average right at doublefigures, are close to that, you
know, fifteen would be perfect forhigh and then scattered out three or four
more players ten to eleven and onetwo at eight or nine a game.
I mean, I would love tosee that, Tom. That means that

(20:56):
we're getting a lot of production.A lot of guys are playing number one
and playing uh, pretty significant minutesthat's going to be really important. I
think the players coming in will likethat. But with the offense that we're
going to be running, they're alreadygonna the defenses will already have their hands
full with how you're going to defendsome of that stuff. So if you

(21:18):
have four or five guys who arecapable of getting you twenty they might average
fifteen, but they're capable of gettingyou twenty or more, that's going to
be a huge advantage for Kentucky. When I hear Mark talk, one thing
he frequently mentioned is mentions is cutters, and you know that they get paid

(21:42):
in the NBA and that they're soimportant, and he seems to with the
team he's put together to this point, it's there's a premium on guys who
can defend and also but guys whoare also really good passers. Yeah.
As much as I I used tolove watching NBA, especially when of course

(22:03):
when I was working in the NBA, I watched it all the time,
but when you when you watch thegame on that next level, Uh,
there are two things that really afew things that really stand out, But
one is shooting. You know,I mean, everybody wants to shoot three
and everybody has a license to shootthem and and they do. They take

(22:23):
advantage of it. So, uhyou want that, But then you want
guys who know how to move withoutthe basketball. Jamal Murray, for instance,
Man, he is really really goodat getting set up and moving and
slashing and and those cuts that youjust mentioned. And you watch the Knicks

(22:45):
they do a lot of that aswell. No, Brunson has the ball
in his hands all the time, but just when you think you got them
stop, there's another Nick player slashinto the basket. They've been fun to
watch, so uh yeah, thosekind of those kind of players are always
good. I like guys who getout on the break as well, who
can get behind the defense and scoreat the basket. So it's gonna be

(23:11):
fun time. I think he's puttingtogether an excellent team for the way the
game is played these days. AndI've said this before. Wouldn't it be
fun if there was an opportunity tosee, you know, a new team
like this in action this summer. So we'll have to wait until I guess
October when some of the you know, big blue madness rolls around. That'll
be one of the most anticipated eventsfor Unlike you know, hadn't been for

(23:36):
a while, but I think itwill be this year. Yeah, Yeah,
I think so, Tom, AndI'm kind of glad they're not playing
in a summer tournament just simply becausethey I mean, that's a whole new
team. I mean they're gonna haveto learn each other. They're gonna have
to learn a different system than whatthey were all used to, what we're
used to. So I think gettingin the gym, getting stronger, working

(23:59):
this and then running together, gettingas much practice in as you can as
you're allowed to do. I thinkthat's going to be important for this team.
I'm anxious to get started. Man, I can't wait. Same here
Goose. Thank you for the timeas always, Thanks Tom, I appreciate
it. Man. That is theGoose Jack Evans and don't forget if you

(24:21):
don't have his book Father's Days comingup, that'd be a great gift for
dad. They call me Goose withJack Evans and Doug Brounk and again follow
Goose on social media for a chanceto get a chance to go to a
book signing and get one signed. He joins us on the Club Blue Nil
hotline and Mark Pope has talked alot about trying to harness the power of

for a VIP event that is openonly to Club Blue subscribers, and you
have until May fifteenth to sign upto be eligible to get to this VIP

Club Blue subscribers that'll be first inline. So go to Club blueenil dot
com click join Club Blue for yourchance to be a part of a new

(25:26):
era in Kentucky basketball. Club blunildot com. We'll get to a break.
Come right back with Justin Rowland hereon the Lead Report Radio network reporter
before the top of the hour. It's the Lead t Report presented by Bobcat
Enterprises. And join now by JustinRoland from Katzillustrated dot com at Roland Rivals

(25:48):
on x or Twitter if you prefer, we'll get to a couple of football
topics justin, but let me startwith basketball. With the addition of Trent
Noah to the Kentucky team yesterday outof Harlan County, what's your t on
that move makes a lot of sense. I mean, guys with that profile,
that recruiting profile have made a hugeimpact on college basketball in recent years.

(26:10):
The expectation is he's going to bearound for a few years. He's
got size, He's a shooter, thirty points a game, great scoring instincts,
a smart, heady player who seesthe floor pass as well. He
can chip in with some rebounding.I mean, yeah, there are questions.
It's not a Caliperry kind of recruitin terms of like how much instant
impact can we can we be assuredof? But these guys have been huge

(26:33):
in college basketball all over the place. For anybody watching, they know that
player with good size. They've seenhim listed at six seven most of the
listings. I've seen her six ysix. But obviously a guy that with
that kind of size nice to haveon the wing. Yeah, yeah,
I mean he's always going to geta shot off he Yeah, I think

(26:56):
that's exactly the kind of player thatyou expected to kind of trade the Caliperri
era for when when you brought Popein. I mean I always wondered,
like, why aren't we talking aboutsomething like Matt Painter as a potential coach
at Kentucky. And I know he'sa Purdue guy, but like, this
is exactly the reason why, Likerecruiting this kind of player is just kind

(27:17):
of where college basketball is at rightnow is where basketball is kind of meeting
And yeah, I totally get tolodge it. It's a deep dive on
trendoah at Katzillustrated dot Com from DavidSisk, So if you're a subscriber,
you can get access to that,or you can subscribe if you want to
get access to that because gets somegreat insight from coach Cisk, who joins

(27:38):
us here frequently on the program.Let's shift to football, And I thought
it was a sharp move by BushHampden to come on our show yesterday,
but to come on adi show atthat point when you got another quarterback that's
added to the mix and fans arewondering, Okay, what's the deal here,

(28:00):
what's the thinking on bringing in anotherquarterback at this juncture? So he
comes on and explains his thinking andwhat they're looking at and gave us some
insight into how Gavin Whimsack could beutilized in this upcoming season. Yeah,
the two benefits that he cited, careful not to promote any kind of quarterback

(28:22):
competition between Brock and Gavin going intothe fall, was save some hits on
Brock for short yardage situations, andthen you could put both of them on
the field at the same time andreally put a lot of stray on the
defense because they're both good athletes. But it's also an insurance if anything happens
to Brock, somebody who's going tobe running. This guy started nineteen games
in a power conference, and Iget in a big picture, his biggest

(28:47):
value is this. With one scholarship, if something happens to Brock, I
feel like, instead of like thewhole season being a wash, maybe you
can salvage a quality year, possiblybecause that's what Gas has done it Rutgers.
If you have a good team aroundhim, he can run the offense
and his bush set on this showyesterday, situational football. With that experience,

(29:07):
it can it can save your season. So with one scholarship, It's
the only question for me was whywould Gavin want to do it? And
he's got two years of eligibility,he had to make a decision, and
you know, why not. Whynot put yourself in a within earshot of
playing starting quarterback in the SEC.So it makes sense. Yeah, I
mean, you get that experience. And also it seems clear from some of

(29:30):
the public comments and things that we'reseeing through spring practice that they will be
moving back toward the quarterback being moreinvolved as a runner, maybe more like
Will Levis's first year. They didn'trun Will much in his second year,
didn't run Devin Harley at all lastyear. So you get, you get
back toward that, which means morehits on your quarterback, more risk to

(29:52):
injury, and if you need aif Brock gets hurt, Now you've got
a guy that doesn't really require youto make a major change to that plan,
right, Yeah, you don't haveto totally change the offense for somebody
else, and you don't want tothrow Cutter bully. And if he's not

(30:12):
ready, I mean he may verywell be ready, but I think everybody
knew and he knew that portal ispossible that as a true freshman in the
SEC. You don't want to ruinhis confidence. We don't know how great
the offensive line is going to bethis year, you know, you don't.
You don't want to put a bunchof bad stuff on him. You
know, bo I think could runthe offense, but he doesn't have the

(30:33):
mobility that Brock and that Gavin wouldhave, and so you would be changing
things there. And I'm just lookingat the offense. I think the quarterback
run is going to be a bigpart of it this year. That's just
kind of baked into the cake whenyou go get Brock vandergriff from what he's
been at Georgia off off the gamefield, but in practices and spring games
and what he's known for that thatqv run games can be significant and it's

(30:56):
something that you know, Brock's bodytype should be he should be good at
again, kind of like Levis wasthat first year, right. Yeah,
I think he's comfortable doing it.Yeah, he ran it against Georgia's ones
and two's on defense, and helooked good in the spring games last couple
of the two years before he gotto Kentucky doing that, So no doubt.
I mean, athletically he's durable enoughfor it, and he's going to

(31:19):
surprise people with how many how thosewheels are. Do you see them picking
up other additions through the portal?Yeah, I mean, well, we
know that they were kind of lookingfor a running back. You know,
they were linked to Damien Martinez. They were leaked Henny Boone. So when
you start pursuing multiple players at aposition, we know that there's probably a

(31:41):
reason for that, and we'll justhave to wait and see there. And
let's wait and see. On thedefensive line, I know there's a Rutgers
defensive lineman that Kentucky had been inthe mix for. He's dropping a favorite
list soon. I think they wouldlove to add somebody at that nose spot,
somebody who can be an interior defensivelineman. Those defensive line were that
room was ravaged by injuries and theywere missing a lot of guys and the

(32:02):
SEC you got to have that anchorand you got to have depth at that
anchor spot. So interior defensive lineI would look for as well. I
think they're going to be good asfar as getting their guys back in the
D line for the start of thesea So I think so. But you
know, when there are several guysthat have been out, there's a lot
left to the imagination. I thinkthey'll be okay in terms of sheer numbers,
but I do think it would benice if they hadn't lost somebody like

(32:25):
Jamarius Dinkins, who I think toPurdue. He would be probably a pretty
good position playing time wise at Kentuckyright now. But you know Hindsight's twenty
twenty with Justin Rowland from Kats Illustrateddot Com. You talk to us about
the transfer from Michigan in the secondaryand Waller, I believe how he could

(32:49):
be a guy who even played safetyat Michigan be in the mix at the
for a starting quarterback job. Sowhat's the early feedback you're hearing on him.
I mean, that's my expectation he'sbrought into start he was going to
be like a He was going toget a lot of snaps, almost starter
level snaps in Michigan this year.I mean he was going to play probably
four four hundred and fifty snaps forMichigan, which is like sharing a starting

(33:13):
spot with somebody. He was overone hundred and fifty snaps just on defense,
not on special teams. Last year. So he was a serious rotation
player who was five times Michigan's FreshmanDefensive Player of the Week in their national
championship season. And you just lookat his measurable as you look at his
mindset, the way that he's wired, the way that interest from schools all
over spiked during his senior year atYoungstown. Everything is turned the right way

(33:37):
for this kid. And he alsofits the profile that boundary cornerback you've got
max play in the field. He'scomfortable in space. He's not as big,
but he's got great cover skills, great instincts, breaks on the ball.
DJ's going to play that boundary. He's going to push push action the
right way. He's going to playon the edge and tackle well in space.
And I just think he's a perfectperfect fit for what they needed because

(33:58):
hard hardaway can be a really goodcorner for Kentucky, but Dja is really
trinming the right way back. Soyou can read about the Cats football,
