This season is suff Love podcast Andyou know the month of Maya is

(03:29):
all about using our words in packababble. Today word is self worth. And
so before we begin, let's beginwith a guided meditation. All right,
Let's find a nice comfortable seated positionor just seaming, lie down and close
your eyes. I want you totake a deep breath in filling the air

(03:51):
to fill your lungs. All right, I want you to exhale, releasing
any tension or out Now, asyou continue to breathe deeply, I want
you to we envision a warm lightgloaming at the center of your chest,
and this light represents your inherent worthand value as a unique individual. I
want you to feel this worth, its warmth spreading throughout your body, developing

(04:16):
you into a cocoon of self acceptanceand love. Now, with each in
hell, I want you to affirmyourself. I am worthy, I am
enough, I deserve love and respect. And with each exhale, I want

(04:38):
you to release any negative thoughts orself doubt that may be holding you back.
Now, I want you to visualizea bright aura of confidence and self
assurance surrounding you and radiating out intothe world. As you embrace this feeling

(04:58):
of self worth as your birth life, something that you can never be diminished.
I want you to take a deepa few more deep breaths, and
that's your basking in a glow ofyour own worthiness. Yes, take a
few more deep breaths and yes, yes, And I want you to bask

(05:19):
in that glow. Yes. Now, when you are ready, I want
you to gently open your eyes andI want you to carry this. I
want you to carry this sense ofself love with you throughout the day.
But I also want you to rememberthat you are deserving all the good things
that life has to offer you,and I want you to embrace your worth

(05:42):
and let it shine brightly from within. All right, If you are new
here to the Season and Self LovePodcast, this is something that we do
every day Monday through Friday, andthat we do a nice, grounded,
simple, real quick, grounded guidedmeditation to help us to just open us
up and ready to receive whatever messagethat you are supposed to receive from this
episode. All right, Remember todaywe the month that may excuse me.

(06:05):
The month that may is all aboutusing our words impeccable, and today's worth
is about Today's word is on selfworth. And in this see we're going
to talk about the power of selfworth. Now, self worth is our
foundation on how we see ourselves andinteract with the world. Right, But

(06:27):
it's more than just feeling good aboutourselves. It's a deep understanding that it's
more valuable, and it's about capableand about deserving. So today we explore
the common hurdles that we face inacknowledging our self worth and how to overcome
them. And we also will hearin a very inspired story from one of
our listeners that I hope that willresonate with you and remind you of your

(06:50):
own value. All right. Firstof all, overcoming obstacles and acknowledging our
self worth can be very childlenging,a very challenging journal but journey. But
with perseverance and self reflection, itis possible to break free of our self
doubt and we are able to embraceour inherent value. So here's a very

(07:15):
inspired letter from someone who has conqueredtheir hurdles and wanted to share their how
they recognize that. All right,it says, dear Naomi, I am
writing to you from a place ofnewfound strength and self insurance, a place
I never thought I would reach.I want to share with you my journey
of overcoming obstacles and finally recognizing mytrue worth, and to hope that admit

(07:41):
it may aspire others to do thesame. For years, I battle with
feelings of inadequacy and self doubt, and I allow the voices of criticism,
both external and internal, to drownout my sense of self worth that I
might have had I compare myself relentlesslyto others and always coming up short in

(08:03):
my own eyes. I believe thatmy value was contingent on external validation,
and as a result, I constantlysought approval from others to feel worthy.
But one day everything changed. Irealized that the only opinion that truly matters

(08:24):
was my own, and I beganto challenge the negative beliefs that I had
held. That I have me captivefor so long. So I started to
practice self compassion, treating myself withkindness and understanding that I so freely gave
to others. I embraced my flawsand my imperfections and seeing them not as

(08:46):
weakness, but as a unique aspectof my true self. So as I
embarked on this journey of self discovery, I encounter many hurdles along the way.
You see, the fear of failure, the weight of past mistae,
and the pressure to conform to societalstandards. These obstacles threatened to derail my
progress at every time, but Irefused to let them define me. I

(09:11):
confronted my fears had on leading intodiscomfort and uncertainty with courage and resilience,
And through this introspection and self reflection, I'd unearthed a deep reservoir of inner
strength and resilience and that I neverknew that I possessed. I discovered that
my worth was not tied to myachievements or possessions, but to the inherent

(09:35):
value of my being. And Ilearned to love and accept myself unconditionally,
embracing my authentic self with open arms. But today, today I stand before
you as a testament to the powerof self love and self acceptance. And
I've overcome the hurdles that once helpedme back, and I now walk with

(09:56):
confidence and purpose along the path ofself discovery. And I know that my
worth is limitless, and I nolonger seek validation from external sources to affirm
my value. So, Naomi,I want you and your listeners to know
that they are worthy beyond measures, just as you are, and they possess

(10:16):
a unique spark of light and potentialthat is waiting to be unleashed. So
I want you to embrace your trueself and embrace their true self, and
confront all of your fears and neverdoubt the immeasurable worth that resides within you.
You are capable of achieving great things, But first and foremost, you

(10:39):
must believe in the beauty and strengthof your own being. So with love
and I'm way from belief in yourjourney, I thank you CALLI oh,
my beautiful people. First, Iwant to say thank you to Cali.
Thank you for sharing this letter inyour journey with me man. But also

(11:01):
I hope that this letter resonate withyou all my listeners, and that it
inspires you to embark on your ownjourney of self discovery and self acceptance.
That remembering that you are worthy ofall the love and happiness that the world
has to offer, and that youcan potentially have the courage to write in
a beautiful letter like that, justas Kelly did, and that I am

(11:24):
able to share it, you know, on air, just as I was
to share her. Again, Ithank you Kelly for sharing that beautiful letter,
and I thank you for being aloyal listener here. All right,
So on that note, let's takea quick break and when we return back,
you know, we're gonna talk moreabout this impeccable word of self worth.

(11:45):
All right, it's your Gurty gothis number banks here on this season
a Self Love Podcast, and we'llbe right back. Hey, Hey,
Hey, this is dog kind asksNow I'm bridging with yach podcast from checking
us out every week. And rememberI'm no relationship pats first, I just

(12:07):
tell her like I hear from M. Kenny, get back at what are
some that prevent people from Asia?Gritty God? Is now many Banks here
from the season and supple podcasts.Yeah, I would say remorse, So

(12:30):
shame and guilt is a very dividedemotional and these are one of the many
amazing conversations that we have every dayMonday through Friday right here in the season
and the podcast with myself Nami Banks, as well as our resident therapist,
doctor Will Washington Washington. Well, come by our relationships, come by a

(12:54):
lot of times that's afraid of howpeople will look at us and so that
compassion can't enter. You can hitus the season of Self Love Podcast dot
com This with the Truth is itOrry, welcome back and sh you got
you gotta nub me see ow theseason and Self Love Podcast and today today

(13:15):
impeccable word is self worth And inthis segment, let's do some self worth
practices. All Right, you seewhat building self worth is about. It's
like nurturing a garden. Right,It takes the time to effort and the
care. So I share some effectivepractices that can help you to cultivate the
strongest sense of self worth, fromsetting healthy boundaries, to engaging in regular

(13:37):
self care and just mastering positive selftalk. And see, with these strategies,
they are designed to reinforce on howmuch you are truly deserved. And
so building self worth is a das I mentioned before, It's like nurturing
a garden, right, And soI wanted to combine my new found hobby
into you know, kind of sharingwith you the practice of self worth.

(14:00):
All right, So we're gonna useexample of cultivating a garden and compare it
to practicing self worth. All right, you all ready for this, all
right? So Number one, plantingseeds of positivity. So just as you
plant seeds in a garden, youcan plant seeds the positivity in your mind.

(14:22):
You can replace them with negative selftalk, with positive affirmation and self
compassion. And you worder these seedsby acknowledging your strengths and your achievements,
all right. Two Number two weedingweeding out negative thoughts. So just as
you need to weed out all wantedplants in your garden, You also need

(14:46):
to weed out negative thoughts and beliefsthat undermine your self worth. Identify and
uproot those self critical thoughts and comparisonsand doubts right. Number three is about
nourishing, nourishing and self care.Just as plants need nourishment to thrive,

(15:07):
you need to prioritize self care tonurture your self worth. Take care of
your physical, emotional, and mentalwell being through healthy habits, relaxations,
and activities that bring you joy.Number four is sunlight of self acceptance.
I like that one. Just asplants need sunlight to grow, you need

(15:31):
to embrace self acceptance and self loveto strengthen your self worth. Embrace your
uniqueness, Embrace your flaws, Embraceyour imperfections as part of what makes you
who you are. Number five isthe roots of resilience. Just as strong

(15:52):
rule supports plants during storms, developingresilience can help you to weather life challenges
and set back. You see asyou cultivate resilience by learning from failures and
balancing back from adversity and trusting inyour ability to overcome the obstacles. My
number six is pruning for growth, just as pruning that helps plants grow stronger

(16:18):
and more beautiful. By letting goof toxic relationships, negative influences, or
perfectionist tendency. Hello, it canhelp you to grow and flourish. You
See, when you trim away itno longer serves you. It makes room
for positive growth. Number seven, blossoming confidence, just as flowers bloom in

(16:45):
a well tendered garden. Cultivating selfworth it can lead to blossoming confidence and
a sense of empowerment. So tocelebrate your progressing, accomplishment and inner strength
as you wash your self worth growthroad and flourished. So by attending to
your self worth like a gardener attendsto their garden, you can cultivate a

(17:08):
stronger sense of self worth and nurtureyour inner growth. I thought that was
so beautiful when I sat down andI thought about doing that, and and
what I say, I believe thatwas yesterday's show, and I was talking
about one of the new habits. One of the new hobbies that I have
is gardening. And actually with that, it brings me closer to my grandmother.

(17:33):
And you know cause every summer, every spring, she was in her
backyard right next to the chip Chickenchicken coop, was on our side on
the south side of Chicago, anduh, and she will go back there
and she will, you know, take that that old hole that you used
to push down and you know, make the little lines to where there's where

(17:56):
this seating go. And I remember, I'm a few summers that she allowed
myself and the other you know,of my cousins and my sisters to come
and you know and plant us ourown, you know, whatever we want,
because I used to love cucumbers,so she'll give me to where I
have my own little area of cucumbers. And she would do that, you

(18:18):
know, to the other grandkids thatwould come over during the summertime, that
they would have their own, youknow, little thing, but she would
tend to it. You know,we were too small. We really didn't
understand the work that had to dowith tending to the garden. I remember
the other day one of my loyalscame to town and you know, kind

(18:38):
of helped me to rebuild my gardens. And I remember sharing with them that
I really didn't understand how much workand how much love that my grandmother truly
gave to that garden. And evenin speaking now and thinking about that,
is that there was so much lovethat was put in those gardens for us,

(19:03):
because I remember how big that gardenwas, how big those tomatoes was,
those cucumbers were. You know,it was the whole back of her
backyard. And there were no mosthere were no none of that. Like
she went out there every morning orhow many times in the morning during the
day that she went out there, and she stood out there watering the grass

(19:25):
with her big with her big sunhat. And as I am talking to
you, going now, excuse me, I'm getting so emotional in that because
I can feel myself doing that.Now. I get up early in the
morning before the sun come up highup, and I'm out there and I'm

(19:47):
guardening the yard. But as Isit there, I'm like a damn I
w I wasn't out there as longas my grandmother was, So am I
putting the love in you're like shedid, even though my guard is nowhere
near as big as hers. Butas I was using the analogy of of

(20:11):
treating ourselves as a garden, ourself worth in building that, And I
ain't gonna lie right now, Iam proud of myself for even thinking about
that and putting two and two togetherputting that in together and doing that,
but it just made me just somewhatmuch more emotional, and it makes me
know and understand it confirm a lotof things to me. And this is

(20:37):
just another awakening moment that I'm doingright here, live on air, right
here, sharing this story with youall. But if you can later on,
come back to this episode once youfinish hearing and come back to it
and listen to the analogy that Iadded in with the gardening of you sit

(21:00):
and guardian of yourself. And thatis tuly what I am doing with my
garden outside and I can feel it, I can feel it. But also
I can feel the connection of mygrandmother that I can that I truly can.

(21:21):
Yeah, So not only am Ibuilding back there food for me,
but that's helping me build my selfworth even stronger than what it already is,
if that makes sense. So let'stake a quick break and when we
come back, we're gonna dive alittle deeper. And well, no,
we're gonna dive into it. Butthen I got a nice little surprise for

(21:44):
you all at the end of rightit's your gurt. You gotta Stamy Banks
here all the season A Cephalove Podcastand we'll be right back. Washington wells
into two focuses on healing always forme. If I look good, then
I feel good. If I feelgood, then I share the good.
If I share the good, thenI celebrate the good. If I celebrate

(22:06):
the good, then I live thegood. So I can be paid to
be my greatest. But I haveto learn the good to be the good.
So what does it take to bethe greatest. It's as simple as
a free fifteen minute consultation. Bekind to yourself and you'll always all right,

(22:26):

I had a little surprise for youall and what I wanted to do.

(22:48):
We hadn't did this for a while. I think we did it last Friday,
but we did a Friday meditation, right, and so I wanted to
do kind of like a week's reflectof a meditation. All right, So
I let me get my music readyfor it, and then we can begin,

(23:11):
all right, Just start to finda very comfortable position in a quiet
place to see. I want tolight out all right. Now, close
your eyes gently, and I wantyou to take a deep breath in filling
your lungs with fresh air, andexhale slowly, releasing any tension or negativity.

(23:32):
Now, I want you to takea moment to reflect on this week.
I want you to reflect on aweek that has passed, and I
want you to you acknowledge the wordsthat you have used, the expressions that
you share, the moments of gratitudethat you have felt, the healing that
you have experienced, and the confidencethat you have cultivated, and the self

an attention to carry these positive aspectsfor it into the weekend. I want
you to bring your awareness to thepresent moment and think of three things that
you are grateful for from this pastweek. That could be a small gesture,
a moment of connection, or apersonal achievement, or simply the beauty

(24:25):
of nature. And I want youto allow a sense of gratitude to fill
your heart as you express your thanksfor these blessings. Now, I want
you to visualize a warm, soothinglight surrounding you, developing you into a
cocoon of healing energy. I wantyou to imagine that this life is gently

soothing any physical or emotional wounds thatyou may have, bringing comfort and peace
to your body and mind. Feelthe healing energy permitting every single cell of
your beating. And I want youto repeat the following affirmation silent you are

(25:10):
outloud. I am confident in myabilities. I am confident in my ability.
Repeat after me. I trust myselfto navigate any challenges that come my

(25:32):
way. I trust myself to navigateany challenges that come my way. And
my last one repit after me,I am worthy of success and happiness.

(25:55):
I am worthy of success and happiness. I want you to allow these affirmations
to sink into your subconscious mind, reinforcing your confidence in your self belief.
I want you to take a momentto appreciate your inherent value and worth as

(26:17):
a unique individual. And I wantyou to recognize your strength, your resilience,
and the beauty that resides within you. I want you to embrace your
imperfections. As a part of yourhuman experience, and I want you to
celebrate this journey of growth and selfdiscovery that you are on. Now.
As you gently bring this meditation toa close, I want you to take

(26:40):
a deep breath in. Yeah, take it in me feeling a sense of
renewal positivity just wash over you.And as you exhale slowly, I want
