that closure. I think it's a real misconception when people,

No, you won't contact exactly. My husband's ex called him
when she found out we were engaged, and they both
moved on for years.

I don't think that's the right choice. I don't think
it's a reasonable expectation that you or he would be
okay with that. I think it's more than just about

think it's the timing. I think that you know, anybody
who's getting married, we hope that they're thinking about their

future spouse, and they're thinking about their future. They're not
looking back and trying to tie up loose ends in
their mind the day of the wedding.

do it. The first initiative from Steadfast to La, a

my ex on our wedding morning as a goodbye, I
said goodbye to my ex. I thought it wasn't a
big deal. I thought it was closing that unmarried chapter
of my life, if you will. He found out so upset,

barely spoke the entire honeymoon. I really don't feel like
I did anything wrong. I feel like he's overreacting. What
do you think? Please help me.

Okay, Well, I think we need to be really careful
when we use the word overreacting, because sometimes that means
that someone isn't reacting the way we would like them to.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
I love that it's neither an over nor underreaction.

It's just different from what we may do, and we
may not like it. It's kind of a second piece
of that.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Do you think it's wrong to say goodbye to an
ex if that's your way of closing that chapter of
your life, or is she hanging onto feelings.
Speaker 6 (31:46):
I think that closure is Closure's not so much something
we do. It's more of a decision, Oh, I decide
to close the chapter of my life. We don't really
need to have an experience with anyone else to get
that closure. I think it's a real misconception when people,
especially when they reach out to somebody any closure.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
No, you won't contact exactly. My husband's ex called him
when she found out we were engaged, and they both
moved on for years.
Speaker 6 (32:18):
I don't think that's the right choice. I don't think
it's a reasonable expectation that you or he would be
okay with that. I think it's more than just about
reaching out to an ex on a wedding day. I
think it's the timing. I think that you know, anybody
who's getting married, we hope that they're thinking about their
(32:39):
future spouse, and they're thinking about their future. They're not
looking back and trying to tie up loose ends in
their mind the day of the wedding.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
So that's why they come out of the past because
they want to ruin it for you. Yeah, maybe they
don't like seeing your happiness because although they've moved on,
maybe they aren't happy and they see that you're happy.
It's like a heather Yeah.

Some people really want to have two x's.

Yeah.

I feel like it's a control thing.

in their face run it. No, I do believe that's true.

goodbye and close the chapter of being single, and her
now husband found out iced her out. Was it wrong

of her to do therapy Thursday? So we learned from
our therapist Sarah Dash that closing a chapter is more
like just wanting contact. You're inserting yourself just to like
let the person know, Hey, I'm here, and it's a decision.
You know, you can close a chapter without him to

announce it or contact the person. So, Bailey, thank you
you wanted to comment about Mandy.
Speaker 13 (34:48):
You know, I had a similar situation where my first love,
high school sweetheart, he got married and it had been
maybe a decade since we're out of high school. And
I he goes to call me a couple of days
before you got married to let me know that I
would always have half.
Speaker 7 (35:05):
Of his heart.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yea half of his heart. Whoa I know?
Speaker 13 (35:10):
And I was just taken aback because it's, you know,
that whole respect thing, even though I don't know his
new wife now, is just that that boundary? Right?
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Yes, what did you say?
Speaker 13 (35:23):
I said, thank you. I appreciate that sentiment, but that's
an awkward statement to make. Yeah, and he, you know,
he he did, he said, you know you're my first love,
and we did. We had the cutest, little, perfect first love,
you know, all through high school, and so I understand
the context. However, I just still felt it was inappropriate.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
I love that you called him out on the spot, though,
Oh for sure.
Speaker 13 (35:47):
I mean I'm a girl's girl. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yeah, And he's still he's still with the other the
other half of his heart is still with the girl.

Yes, and that's sing. I think it's a very loyal person.
But yeah, it's just regardless of it for me or not.
It's just I just thought it's so unapphropiate. But yes,
he is with that person. They have a little boy
now and I think they're happy.

Okay, Okay, what percentage of your heart does he have.

When we ended it my senior year, that percent is
trunk and after a decade of moving on and have
my own family, there's no percentage there.

there's an interesting assist coming to the US. Turkey is
exporting fifteen thousand tons of eggs to the US as
bird flu has sent egg prices skyrocketing. Deliveries will start
this month and continue through July. According to Turkish officials.
US egg producers hope the imports will help ease some

of the pressure on prices. Pretty cool thing. And what
