(00:47):
Ladies and gentlemen, the one,the only, mister Gary Sullivan, Mister
Wilson, Hell I am doing well, sir, and yourself. I was
the food. Come hi, You'regonna be disappointed in me. I ate
lightly. We had two stops.Well okay, we had two stops,
(01:10):
both had great food, but Iate lightly at both stops, so you
didn't experience food. There was nofood. Com Yeah, proud of you,
Thank you so much. I thinkthat comes with age. Ron could
be or the fact that I knewwe had to drive and you know,
go and so I just yea.And they were like three hours apart.
(01:30):
When the eating part too. Didthey peck your leftovers? Nah? Didn't
even do that? Wow? Yeah, kind of uneventful. What can I
say? Stay in light? Soas Gary Sullivan, first of all,
thank you for always sharing all yourgreat home improvement tips with us here on
our show. But as Gary Sullivanwalks up to that Thanksgiving table and takes
(01:51):
a look around, besides ham orour turkey, what do you focus on?
You know? I love my wife'sdressing, which was mother's dressing.
Not exactly the greatest thing in theworld for you, but that's what I
like. That's okay, Now youhave to smother that. No, I
just it's so moist, it's reallygood. I just don't eat much of
(02:13):
it anymore. But that's what Ifocus on. It's delicious. Is there
something special and that dressing that makesit different from others like spices or herbs
that they uses? Yeah, well, I don't know. It's the best
dressing I've had. Ron there yougo. You know that's you know,
I mean, like some people putlike oysters in their gizzard and they got
(02:34):
the gizzards and the giblets and allthat good stuff in there. But I'm
trying to think if there really isany extra spices you said, he I
don't know that. But it's veryflavorful, very moist, and very delicious.
So she does a great job.She does a great job. From
her mind. It will put youin a food come if you too much,
so you gotta be careful with it. Sure, I understand. Maybe
(02:55):
maybe sometimes you get slip a little, you know, just like a little
topperware serving of it out, ye, Dan and I would be able to
try it. Well, maybe weeven have a little bit left in the
old fridge. Really yeah huh soyou know right after the game today,
oh yeah, carry out absolutely,so when the kids all leave, Yeah,
here you go, here you go, here you go. Well you
know how it is. If you'recooking it at home and you have a
(03:19):
lot of leftovers, you have tosend the leftovers home with everybody. Well,
you have to portion it off sinceyou keep some right, but then
ye send everything else home with everybody. Exactly, I get it exactly.
Any any sal he's on Thanksgiving Day? No, no, No, Thanksgiving
is an easy day. Well itis for me because I used to get
very involved in the cooking. Youknow how I like to cook, but
(03:42):
Sue likes to cook Thanksgiving, andthere was a period of time in there
neither one of us could really stayin our lane. You're getting the picture.
So about three years ago I said, would you just prefer me to
stay out? And she goes yes, wow, And so that's what I
do know. Now do you askevery year just to make sure that is
(04:02):
a standing stay out? Well,I certainly hit for the last three okay,
because you don't want to plan onI plan on continuing to ask because
it's hard to get a whole bunchof people in there with well sure ideas,
and you never want to assume thatshe doesn't want you in there that
is correct, So you have tomake sure you clear let's ask. Let's
(04:25):
ask. I just say, wouldyou prefer to just stay in my lane?
Or do you need help? Andshe goes, why don't you just
go in the other room? Gary? Are you supposed to be in here?
Are you supposed Why are you alwayssitting in that chair because I'm out
(04:46):
of trouble? Then that's right.Well, at least most of the time,
you probably could still get in troublesitting there. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, exactly. Good. Soit's a a day at the Solomon household
today. Well, well today,no, we got through the grand kids
coming over. We're going to watchthem for well soon I get off the
(05:09):
show today. We'll have them tilltomorrow morning. The parents are doing a
little shopping, maybe going out todinner. Then they're coming back. So
yeah, it'll be a busy daytoday. Will you gonna watch that big
game? I am. I'm gonnatry at least any predictions? No,
okay, do you have a prediction? No? Somebody asked me that the
(05:30):
other day, and I know,I gain I don't you know that game.
I never have a prediction. Obviously, I know I want the Buckeyes
to win. But that's a gamethat you just throw out all the stats
in the whole nine yards and doesn'treally matter, right, nobody's gonna win,
somebody's gonna lose, and it couldbe either one, and you just
hope it'll be a slugfest. Ihope it's a good game, and I
think they're not a good game forone of them anyway. Yeah, we'll
make a lot of bring that dressingover for you if in case it's not
(05:53):
a good game. You know, you just put a little bit of that
and you'll be sleeping for the secondhalf and I'll just go to sleep and
I'll worry, not worry about gotit. See that does serve as a
function. You know, a lotof people starting to have snow. Yes,
sit well, it's an our predictionfor tomorrow. A little bit in
the morning. Yeah, a littleflurry here and there. Yeah, it's
(06:14):
a good time to really realize what'sgoing on with your house too, to
really realize, to really realize, like what, well, if everybody else's
roof is snow covered, yeah andyours isn't, that's not good. Well,
it's probably telling you you might havea little heat leaking into that attic
and it's not really ventilated. Soyou got lack of insulation, lack of
ventilation, and that all leads toice dams. So I bring that up
(06:39):
because you know, everybody likes tolook out the windows. Oh, snow
is so pretty. Oh yeah,it's great, Well it is, but
then look at your house and makesure it's equally as pretty, will you?
You know? And you know what'sfunny is you do remind us of
that every year, And when Ipull up to the house and we finally
do get frost where it stays onthe roof or snowfall, I'm always looking
(07:00):
up there to see where it meltsfirst. Yeah, it's a good thing.
You know. Another thing you cando is, you know, once
you have a you know, afew inches of snow up on that roof
and it's not melting. This willsound weird, but you know, one
of the biggest or one of thebiggest fears I have in the house is
critters getting into your attic. Italk about it a lot, talk about
(07:23):
how to prevent it. But ifall of a sudden you start seeing all
kinds of tracks along your roof, especially up around your ridge vent that doesn't
look like reindeer hoofs. Yeah, yeah, got the picture. Yeah,
you know, that's a good tipthat maybe just pay attention. Is there
somebody already in the attic? Isthere somebody trying to get into the attache?
(07:45):
You know what's going on up there, because that's not exactly always normal
behavior. They're looking for something. So unless it's reindeer hoofs or sled tracks,
you could be in trouble. Well, you just want to pay attention
or you may be in trouble.Or you may be in trouble. Yeah.
And in fact, this past weekI saw like three of those critter
(08:07):
control trucks, different different brands ofpeople, but I saw three of them
out pretty much around my neighborhood, and I'm going, oh boy, it's
that time of the year. Theyever pay attention to what's going on.
If you hear something up there, there's probably something up in the attic garry.
Is that clattering supposed to be happeningin the wall? Oh my god,
Well nope, it's not saying no, we're you're you're in trouble.
(08:31):
So you get all your lights up. I do, You're all set,
I am all LEDs. I dogood for you? And how about safety?
From there? They plugged into aGFI. What's a ground false or
false? Certain? Yeah, it'sactually a GFC. I yeah, And
make sure all the connections are waterTay always good tips as you always have.
(08:54):

show with us. Just water yourtree. We are thank you for you,
