Garysullivan online dot com, the one, the only, mister Gary Sulimon.
(00:52):
Yep, baby man looks about thirtyfive people, oh fifty they're they're also
hanging around from Ron Rocket's being hereearlier. All of his fans there you
go. They have all their treeharnesses on. They're hanging from the open
ceilings here the beams up top.Oh yeah, like they're hanging from trees.
Them and the bears. Huh themand the bears. Bears are hanging
(01:18):
out in trees right now too,are they? Oh? Yeah, I
come, I don't know. Ijust saw pictures. It's down in the
smokies all these bears climbing up thistree and just kind of hanging out in
the trees. And I went,hu, never seen that before. And
don't think I've seen that either.Maybe it's a photoshop. I don't know.
Wow, can you leave it?Or can you not believe it?
(01:38):
Well, they do climb. Theydo climb trees. I mean, climbing
up a tree doesn't save you froma bear. No. And they're fast
going up a tree, and they'repretty quick, yep, And they think
for me. I can assure youthat if it's a smaller tree, they
can shake you out of there too. That's not good. That's bad,
Yeah, mister bear. Well, one thing for sure, if I'm out
(02:00):
there in the woods, and Ihope i'm with you, why you know,
because I'm fast. I'm faster thanyou. You're faster, and I'm
a bigger male. Two friends speakinglike friends, uh, you know I'd
be right there for you. Yeah, I wouldn't run away sick. Hey,
(02:20):
mister bear, can I hope youshake that tree? Nah? In
those trees, they don't have anyleaves on them. What happened? Finally,
Well, you know what, there'sstill I still look around. There
are still trees with leaves on them. Yeah, evasive species the pairs obviously,
and the honeysuckle still has the leaves, but it's a vasive species.
Run. Yeah, that's it's thatjust shows you. It just shows you
(02:43):
what they can do. First oneout, last one to go away.
I still see a few maples withsome leaves on. I still see a
few ginko's here and there still somecolor still some oaks. Yeah, and
oaks always hang on to them late. So they've got a few leaves up
in some of the oak trees. And yeah, very few in mine.
My pinoak, it's just had abouttwenty percent of leaves left. I had,
gosh, really mowed the law.I think I'm maybe one more cutting.
(03:05):
I'm done. I'm done. Wokeup the next morning there's twenty percent
of leaves. They all fell thereyou go. It's like, well they're
on the ground now gear. Yes, I got to get motivated to do
it again. But maybe maybe Sunday. It's supposed to be warm and it's
a it's not a heavy covering,No, but twenty percent on the tree
looks like not much and on theground looks looks like a lot. Yeah,
(03:27):
I get that must have been thebears shaking the tree. That's what
it was. I thought I heardsome rumblings outside there. That's well,
that was the bears and other thingstoo, I'm sure for sure. Yeah,
So what's going on around your houseif you start thinking about Christmas yet?
No? Okay, now we haveyou're a late decorator and you keep
(03:49):
it up till like what March. No, No, I'm I'm the two
weeks before Christmas and two weeks afterafter Christmas January sixth or whatever that is
started either, I'm just curious aboutyou. I follow it. You teach
me there are you know my wifeloves decorating for Christmas inside or she likes
outside, but that's usually left upto me. But inside and we've already
(04:12):
yes, we already have things onshelves, a few towels hanging up,
and a few things here and there. That are holiday related. Yes,
you festive little guy. And wehave that little flag you know, the
little flags you put in your landscapeout from that's getting transferred into the little
flags you put out your little flagholder and it says welcome. Oh yeah,
so we we're now moving over tothe holiday nomes and and then so
(04:38):
yes, likely, but is thatin your front yard? We don't do
that stuff. You don't do.How about big inflatables stories? How about
the skeleton that's eighteen feet high?Put because yeah, so you leave it.
You know it's too hard to move, so you decorated for all the
holiday seasons. Well, I'm kindof silly Christmas lights, don't you know.
(04:59):
I'm thinking about knocking on the doorand just asking why. Yeah,
I kind of don't get that.I mean, this skeleton was like,
it's got to be between twelve andeighteen feet high. It's rather wide,
and the other object too. Yeah, well I didn't get close to us
scared. But then last Sunday Iwas in Charlotte, did the show from
(05:24):
Charlotte last week, and I'm walkingand this guy was on this ladder and
he's putting all his Christmas lights onthe skeleton. I don't get that.
And I didn't get that. Ididn't ask I might. I minded my
own business. There's something about Christmasand doing stuff like that. It's just
it's like crossing the line from me. It's like, no, thank you,
(05:46):
not going to do that. That'snot what Christmas is. Skeletic.
What skeletons doesn't doesn't bring out joyce. Sorry, That's where I'm coming from.
Okay, So, and I thinkyou are too. I'm right there
with you. Yeah, I don'tsay, honey, let's get that skeleton
out and we have a big Halloween. The well decorated. You want to
go red and green lights or youwant to go all red on that skeleton.
(06:12):
Now, we're multi colored lights. We aren't one color. Oh.
I went with a red and greenpearlized light about three years ago. They're
round. They're about the size ofa walnut and they're totally round. They're
very attractive. It's a ceramic pearlizedcoating. It's an LED light. They
(06:32):
weren't cheap, and apparently they wereclosing them out when I bought them because
I can't find it anymore. Wow. Yeah, but they're kind of neat.
Put them on that spruce right bythe front door. Oh yeah,
that's nice. So it's not onthe house. It's on the spruce,
right, that's cool. Well, would require a ladder if it was on
the house, and that'd be aproblem. Wrong, Yeah, I can't
(06:54):
do that. I don't think wehad. That was our safety topic this
week at work. Oh, climbatemisuse of how many points of contact on
the ladder run two? Three, four? You don't want two? That's
one foot, one arm, andthe rest of your hanging over to the
gutter. That's bad, bad,Well, the thing above the wall has
(07:16):
to be three should be three feetpast the should be three feet past the
wall or something like that. Yeah, when you're leaning, I mean all
that kind of stuff said. Hey, you know, if you have to
get involved with a ladder like that, you call somebody there you go.
Well, at certain points you do. But you know there was a day
run where you said to yourself whenyou were on a ladder twenty four feet
up in there, I can reachthat. Yeah, I got it.
(07:41):
Hold it. I got one footon the ladder, one foot, one
hand on the gutter. I toldyou I could reach it. That's not
good. Why my parents happily turnedover putting on the Christmas lights. Putting
out the Christmas lights to me becausethey went up along the whole house walk,
the roof and everything. My parentsstill have that. That would two
stage ladder and you spread out thatweig. I was just gonna say that
(08:05):
took at least two guys to carry. It's dry rotted. But you know
now people hang those up and hangbaskets from them and all kinds of stuff.
But they still have that in thebarn and it's uh, well that
doesn't make it right, ron becausethey hang skeletons, they hang lights on
skeletons for Christmas. Well, I'msaying this is like a decoration thing.
Oh remember we went to remember thatthat place we went to in Montgomery for
(08:26):
the get together you and I couldn'tfind. Yeah, Remington, the Remington.
Remember they had one across the middleof the they did. Yeah,
and they had lights hanging from that. Yeah. Yeah, and that does
look good. Yeah, that's kindof cool. What's with the buzzard?
It looked I thought it was good. You got the picture of that show
in that, yeah I should yeah, yeah, Well that didn't deserve a
buzzer, No, It was apretty neat, very beautiful. Anyway,
(08:48):
they still have that one and Iwent to pick that up individually to move
that Oh oh my gosh, Iforgot how heavy that thing was. But
I was very far. I wasthe one that actually did the peaks of
the of the house and all thatstuff. Just threw a Coca cola on
the bottom of your shoes for youdidn't sleep slip, I don't think so.
(09:09):
You didn't know. He went acrossthat peak like a deer. You
know it. I can see you. Oh yeah, I couldn't wait to
get up there. You know. One time my parents weren't home and I
was just starting to drive and Ipulled in my driveway and my eleven year
old brother was just walking across thepeak of the roof. Said why would
a you doing that? Because hewanted to and he was eleven. Okay,
(09:35):
okay, I said, what areyou doing? He goes, I'm
walking across the peak of the roof? Did he say peak? Well,
I don't know. For eleven yearold that's you know. Yeah, So
we don't do that anymore. No, No, we don't. Holiday safety
will chat about that is that today? Today, very very timely sir,
it was holiday safety and thanks forall your health. Oh absolutely my pleasure.
