(00:00):
All right, so let's welcome inJoey Chester from FAIR Federation for American Immigration

(00:05):
Reform on the Legacy Retirement Group dotcom phone line. Joey, good morning.
I hope you've been well. Isee your headline caught my eye,
and that is illegal immigrants can affectthe outcome of national elections without casting a
single vote. Please tell hey,it's great to be with you. Yeah,
that's exactly right, and I thinkit's something that should be on every

(00:26):
American's mind. So, right now, illegal aliens are counted in the census,
and the census is how reapportionment isdetermined for House seats and therefore the
electoral complish. So right now,in Fair's estimate, there's at least sixteen
point eight million illegal aliens living inthe United States. That's roughly enough to

(00:49):
account for twenty two US House seats. And a bill called the Equal Representation
Act just past the House, andthis would make it so only US to
the s are counted in the censusfor the purposes of reapportionment. So this
would make it so Americans representation isnot diluted in Washington, d c.
By the tens of millions of illegalaliens of the United States. Isn't that

(01:12):
what the census was for, wasto count US citizens. Well, the
problem is, and this is whatthe open borders advocates are advocating. The
Constitution says counts persons in the UnitedStates, and so the open borders advocates
argue that that includes illegal aliens andthat they deserve representation and have their voices

(01:34):
heard as well. It's very interesting, Joey Chester from Fair. I'm sure
you saw the Ohio Secretary of Statefrank LeRose this week ordered Ohio's voter roles
in the state to be purged ofnon citizens. This happened on Tuesday after
they reviewed and they didn't find alot, but they found about one hundred
and thirty seven people. And theway that Ohio law works, Joey,

(01:57):
is the the non citizens have toactually acknowledge their non citizenship for them to
be excluded from the voter role.So that means there's probably a lot more
non citizens who are registered to votewho just simply haven't acknowledge that. But
I'll tip the cap to Ohio Secretaryof State Franklin Rose a call it a
good start there. Yeah, Andthat's one thing I wonder with the census

(02:23):
and how they would implement it,is if are people going to be honest
when they answer the question of whetheror not they're a citizen? And so
I think when you kind of leaveit open ended and people have to self
acknowledge, I don't have a lotof confidence that the legal aliens are going
to self acknowledge their citizenship status. So that's always interesting. Yeah, it

(02:44):
is. And they also have toself acknowledge at the BMV, the Bureau
of Motor Vehicles, and you know, sometimes the folks working at those places
aren't exactly interested in listening or payingattention or helping anybody. Joey Chester from
fair So, give us an updateat the border. What do we see
any any caravans, any big pushesat this point? Well, so,

(03:05):
I think the biggest thing that peopleneed to be aware about is the surge
of Chinese nationals coming to the border. During the first week of May alone,
there were over a thousand Chinese nationalsacross the border. And to put
the perspective, in all of fiscalyear twenty twenty one, there were three
hundred and forty two encounters of illegalalias of the People's Republic of China at

(03:30):
our southern border. So that meansin just the first two days of May
there were more Chinese legal alians crossingthe southern border than in all of fiscal
year twenty twenty one. And theproblem is, we don't know why these
people are coming. We don't knowwhat their plans are when they get here.
So that is my biggest concern rightnow. Border numbers were down a

(03:51):
bit, they just came out inApril, but they still remain at incredibly
high levels above the norm. TheBody Administration should not be taking a victory
life. This is still a crisis
