Somali-American role model and activist Halima Aden is remarkable. Halima Aden was born and raised in Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, where her family fled to escape the civil war. After landing in the US, Halima began blazing her trail, becoming the first Muslim model to wear a hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, which led to covers on Allure, Teen Vogue and British Vogue.
