Speaker 1 (00:00):
Poor variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey.
Six am. What's happening Tuesday? How are you Corey? I'm okay, yeah,
we'll talk about it later. It's just some Corey's got
a medical update. It's just annoying. I'm just gonna tease
it right now. How do you get away from a
doctor you don't like? Yeah, no kidding, because his office

(00:24):
is making it more difficult than it needs to be.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I feel like I'm being patient shamed. Otherwise, it was
a good day yesterday. I mean it was really beautiful
and I did my diary outside because it was so pretty.
And what I didn't realize and I don't think you
can tell in my diary because when I was done
doing the video, my husband's in the background and he
starts laughing. I'm like, what are you laughing about? And

(00:47):
he's like, you didn't see what Loki did behind you?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
And I'm like, no, oh, did he do a thing?
Oh he did a number two. And Loki's a giant,
giant dog. He's one hundred pound dog. So I was like, no,
I miss that while you were doing your video diary.
Jeff got quite a kick out of that. Because we're nine,

(01:12):
I know that would make me laugh. Yeah, thanks for
bringing in more of Jeff's clothes. Oh you're welcome.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Well, actually they were given to somebody else and they
didn't fit.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Oh so these are third hand. I see you were
there when the person took them. Remember are you ruining
my story right now? You're putting in way too many details. Okay,
I'm done. So Jeff offloaded a bunch of clothes that
I didn't think we're gonna fit me at all? But
I don't know how he fits into an L, no disrespect.

(01:44):
He's not an L. He doesn't fit into an AL.
He's an XL. It depends on for me.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
It depends on what brand it is, because all the
sizing is different.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
But yeah, more for you. This is this is the
moment where I don't mind that Chrey's husband is bougie
because he has nice clothes to cast off.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Well, the problem is he waits too long to return them.
Then he can't return.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
No, I don't see a problem at all. I'm sure
you don't. All right, what's coming up this morning? More
tickets for Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks October fourth, Levi Stadium.
The pre sales are going on right now all this week.
If you have like a City Bank card or an
Amex card, you could probably take advantage of a pre sale.
I would hit up ticketmaster dot com. General on sale

(02:30):
is gonna be Friday at ten am at ticketmaster dot com.
We have tickets for you to win at eight oh
five this morning, stay with us. It's Star one on
one three, It's Marcus and Corey Tuesday morning, Good morning.
On about your week. Maybe you started a new job,
maybe you're in a new department. I don't know. This
is how confident people train their brains. You train your brain,

(02:50):
says Many confident people are quote born with the trade,
but it can be learned. These are specific ways to
train yourself to be more confident. Number one, realize that
you aren't everybody's cup of tea, and not everyone is yours.
I had to learn.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
That in this job because I have a very different
personality and you're either gonna like me or you're not,
so there's not really anything in the middle.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I'll never forget when our boss basically told me, look,
here's who we're hiring like I had no say in
the matter, and you guys are gonna have lunch. If
any reason he gets weird, just let me know. And
in my head, I'm like, not that you'll do anything
about it. We're still going to hire her. But as
it turns out, Corey and I are wired kind of similarly. Yeah,
even though we have completely different lifestyles, but neither one

(03:37):
of us are everybody's cup of tea, And you have
to be okay with that, And then you also have
to be okay with I say this all the time,
that's not my kind of person, but that they still
have a right to exist. Yes, much to my chagrin,
we're just not going to hang out if you're wearing crocs.
People who are confident do what they enjoyed, not what's trending.

(03:58):
I love that. What if that's what you do for work,
is to keep up on what's trending, that's okay asking
for me, it's due diligence.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
But at the same time, like when there's like some
hot trend, like those stuffed animal things that you click
onto your purse, uh huh.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I'm not doing that. It's very popular, but I'm not
doing it. Something else that people who are confident do.
They accept that we are all human and we are
all flawed. Yes. The number of times I say the
words I am not a perfect person, and it feels
so good to just admit that you're not perfect, nobody is.
It goes right hand in hand. They know failing is

(04:33):
just a part of life. Mm hmmm. I heard somebody
say something that most of the things that we learn,
like ninety percent of the things that we learn are
through mistakes. Of course, just keep that in mind. You
believe in yourself first and always. This has to be
the hardest one, believing in yourself. I think it gets
easier as you get older. I think I had a
lot more insecurities when I was younger. I've always had

(04:54):
imposter syndrome, And basically what that is is you don't
ever think you're good enough at what you're doing. Whatever
it is. People who are confident don't care about looking stupid.
That might as well be that my autobiography. That should
just be our theme of the show. Wear the right clothes.

(05:14):
I'm wearing Corey's husband's throw offs right now, and they're
giving me all kinds of confidence. Makes perfect sense.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Jeff brought some clothes in my husband because they didn't
fit him.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
He's never worn them. They're magical, but he waited too
long to return them. So I feel like a superhero,
basking in the Jeff's essence. And then finally, and again,
this is easier said than done. Walk into a room
and own it. That is easier said than done, to
which I would say, until I don't want to. Sometimes
I walk into a room and I don't want anything

(05:45):
to do with anybody except the appetizer table. Yeah, I
want to hide in the corner exactly. I hope that
helps a little bit. Any tips to train your brain
to be more confidence, maybe something that you do as
a practice. Would love to hear about it on the
iHeartRadio app. Use the talkback feature that little red microphone
love to play on the air. Star one on one
three update on Corey's medical journey, but this is a

(06:05):
good one. Before we give you the update, let me
catch up on what's going on. Corey's dealing with something
that I think a lot of people listening deal with,
which is a fatty liver. This is what had. What
had is the punishment we get for living our lives.
And then you turn a certain age and all of
a sudden, your body goes, hey, hey, slow it down.
So thank you to everybody who's reached out with tips,
And yes, I know if you're going through it, Corey's
going through it with you. But the latest bend in

(06:26):
the saga is you had a doctor that you didn't
like him. We're trying to get away from them, and
the office is making it more difficult than it needs to. Now,
what turned you off about this guy?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
It was a video conference meeting with this doctor the
first time, and I was in here with you, and
you heard the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
I will back you up one hundred percent, which I
don't normally do, but this doctor was a tool bag.
He had not looked at my chart.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
He was reading it in real time and watching him
read my chart as he's asking me questions, and he
started talking about things that had nothing to.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Do with me. She starts wandering off about Stevia, pros stevia.
Keeping him on task was impossible. I didn't get anything
out of this meeting.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
And then he made some derogatory comments about drinking and whatnot,
and so the whole thing was I got a phone
with him and went back to my primary and she's like, listen,
cut back on your alcohol, try to eat better. We'll
test you again up the holidays. So that's what I did.
A couple of weeks ago. I went and got my
blood panel done and she actually set me a note
and said, your numbers look good. You've definitely made a difference.

(07:32):
She said, I can tell that you've cut back. I
can tell that you've cut back plus. So yesterday, I'm
supposed to do a follow up with the hepatology department
where this toolbag works.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
And you've already told your primary I don't want to
go back. I want to see that.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Guy again, and so she gave me a referral for
a different guy.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Problem is they're in the same office. See, this shouldn't
be a problem.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
So I'm on the phone yesterday with this woman and
at the front desk, she's like, why didn't you want
to see doctor Toole And I said, because I had
a bad experience with him the first time.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
And then she made me explain the bad experience.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
I said, if you look at the referral, there is
a different doctor on there.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
I'm supposed to see a different doctor.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I can't believe you have to fight this hard for
better bedside manner, and so she's like, well, I'll see
if he'll take you on as a new patient and
call you back.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
It's so frustrating.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
I can see why people just give up and don't
go back to the doctor, which is so bad for you,
because I'm really trying to get healthy and stick around
and they're making it impossible.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
My wife used to run a doctor's office, and I
used to get become a loyal guy. Yeah, I'd never
like switching doctors with my dad taking care of my dad.
I would switch doctors every once in a while if
I didn't feel like it was working out, and I
always fel bad about it, and she always told me
they don't care. Not everybody's for everybody. We just talked
about it. Not everybody is everybody's cup of tea. You
should just be able to go. No, I don't want

(08:55):
to see doctor Toolbag anymore. Right, would like to see
this doctor without issue? What's that? We love the fact
we named it doctor Pulback because I do and look
and Corey will attest to this. I give everybody a pass. Yes,
I try to see where everybody's coming from. This guy
was out of control on the zoom call.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
What was more infuriating to me is that this is
a very scary thing for me, and the fact that
you had not taken just a minute to look at
my chart or to know what is going on that
you're doing in real time was so disrespectful.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Coupled with being an absolute mansplainer. Yes, that was the
worst part. Now on the head, I know we have
a lot of medical professionals listening, and we're not crapping
on the medical industry at all, no one specific person.
But how do you get away from them? What are
we doing wrong?

Speaker 2 (09:43):
There's gotta be more than one hepatology department in San Francisco.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Anyway, anybody's got any thoughts, A talkback would be great
on the iHeartRadio. Appould appreciate it. Star one on one
three It's Marcus and Corey seven Morning. This is what
talk He's What's trending on Star.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
What's happening in entertainment news, the biggest stories of the
day and everything people are talking about today in the
Babe No.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Grand Prize winner and last night's Powerball drawing, so that
jackpot goes up to two hundred and ninety five million,
and solid then mega millions. Tonight's drawing stands at two
hundred and fifteen million dollars with a cash option shy
of one hundred and one million bucks. You know, you
promise every time we talk about the lottery that if
you won the whole thing, you'd give me like ten million.

(10:32):
This is true, but you never buy a ticket.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
I just forget. I mean, how are we gonna win
if I don't buy a ticket?

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (10:43):
My gonna get my money if you don't buy a ticket.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
The live action remake of snow White, starring Rachel Ziegeler,
hits theater's March twenty first. But head of that, Mattel
is dropping a snow White doll and an Evil Queen doll.
And the limited edition dolls come with accessories like two bluebirds,
a heart, pendent necklace, a red cape, and the red
apple for snow White, and then for the Evil Queen,

(11:08):
she's gonna have the Royal scepter, a vulture, and a
poison apple.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Each doll is seventy five dollars. Can I ask a question?
Is that a lot for a doll like that?

Speaker 2 (11:17):
I guess this is limited edition, so it's a collector's item.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
I don't know. I wouldn't want to play with it.
I'd want to keep it absolutely, I wouldn't even open
it up. And how sad as that I know?

Speaker 4 (11:31):
I know.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
And the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has announced to
celebrate fifty years of the film Jaws. They're gonna have
Jaws the Exhibition from September fourteenth through July twenty six,
featuring over two hundred objects. You'll have a costume warm
by Roy Scheider who was Chief Brodie. There's gonna be
a prop dorsal fin and of course Bruce the shark,

(11:53):
the sole surviving model from Jaws. Do you know I
have a picture with Bruce when they did Jaws three
at Sea World in Orlando.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
That's gotta be scary.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
We had to well, I mean it was stuff, but
uh yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Bring back childhood trauma for me. I mean we didn't
want to go in the pool.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
That's how scary Jos was. So you can get tickets
now if you want to go to the exhibition. It
is in Beverly Hills. So it'd be a little bit
of a sojire.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
That is a Spielberg movie, right, Oh yeah, So we
have a Steven Spielberg question during our trivia games to five.
That's a little little sneak peek if you're gonna win
those Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks tickets. Get ready for that.
Uh before we leave exhibits, I just found out that
the d Young here in SF is going to have

(12:48):
a release if you're a Beatles fan. I guess Paul
McCartney took a bunch of pictures backstage at the couple
of their world tours of all the guys, very very
candid on his pentas, and they're going to have like
a traveling show of two hundred and fifty of Paul
McCartney's photos. That's really cool that he kept all that
just started on the de Young over the weekend going

(13:11):
through July sixth. I gotta rally the family and go,
we're huge Beatles fans at my house, So there you go. Yes,
forget about ninety eight point six being the normal body temperature.
Doctors are saying that this was based on people living
one hundred and seventy years ago, but our environment has
changed drastically and so now the typical temperature is actually

(13:35):
ninety seven point nine has gotten cooler. Interesting the more common.
Average body temperature of today is actually ninety seven point nine.
For whatever that's that's a little nerdy, but I'm here
for it. Okay. In the South Bay, I don't have
an update other than VTA workers might be striking today.
So if you do take VTA down there in San

(13:56):
Jose and in the area, they are suggesting that you
make all alternate plans. The contract expired last night and
talks have stalled between the VTA and the union. Union
looking for a bigger pay raise than the VTA is
willing to give, looking for better working conditions, et cetera,
et cetera. I'm not going to get into the details,
but just know for you, if you're taking VTA this morning,

(14:18):
try to make an alternate plan. Heads up on that
National Grammar Day today should be every day should be
every day National Huga Gi Day if you're week first. True,
Corey brings up a good point. You don't want to
create an hr situation. But you know what, if you
have a GI in your life and give him a
hug and they and they consent. Absolutely. Just found out

(14:39):
that Harry Styles ran the Tokyo Marathon over the weekend.
I thought that was pretty neat Harry Styles from one
direction and he didn't do too badly. Powered through the
twenty six point two mile race in a dark hoodie,
neon sneakers and a white bandana, flashing a smile and
a peace sign, and I guess he finished six thousand
and tenth place, which doesn't sound like much until you

(15:01):
realize that overall, thirty seven thousand people competed. That's a
lot of people, So good on you. Ari Styles On
the Marcus and Corey Instagram momentarily, we're gonna have her
Dad Joke of the week. That's just a reminder. It
will also be on the Marcus and Corey TikTok page.
If you're on either one of those platforms, please give
it a follow. Jess, what's trending every weekday Morning on

(15:23):

Speaker 3 (15:26):
And connect now with the Marcus and Corey socials and
blogs that's at one O one.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Three dot com. Vriety from the two thousands, the nineties
and today it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus
and Corey back after it this week, hoping for the
same level of success we had last week with second
date update.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
We tried to get you a second date. You snag
the first one, why can't you get the second one?

Speaker 1 (15:49):
So we want to talk to Let's bring Annie on. Annie.
Are you there, Hi, I'm here, Hey, good morning, thanks
for calling, Thanks for listening.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Also, oh my gosh, I'm a huge fan.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
The best tell us about chance. I understand you guys
meant on Tinder. So let's talk about the first date.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Yes, So we went out from Mexican Food in Walnut
Creek a couple of weeks ago, and it was so
much fun. The food was amazing. I had the angiladas,
he had the taco plate. We're both obsessed with food,
which was such a huge green flags.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
You know.

Speaker 5 (16:22):
Yeah, yeah, I was like, oh my god, this is
a guy who loved the woman who can eat. We
talked about all the things that we love that are
all of our shared interests. We both are obsessed with food,
we both love traveling, we both are obsessed with our dogs.
I have a German shepherd, he has a Maltese. I
thought the whole thing was great, and I thought like
a second date was a no brainer. Sure, and then

(16:45):
he just kind of goes to me he disappeared. I
don't know what happened.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Nobody put in the corner? Am all right? Come on?
Exactly where did that come from? If that's the one
movie quote, I know. Okay, it's my one movie line
for the year. Okay, this is what I'm thinking. Okay,
please Corey.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Maybe Chance headed home, was walking through his house, cut
to trips over the Maltese and.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Hits his head. Oh god, what is he? Okay? Sure,
I don't know, Annie, what do you think plausible?

Speaker 5 (17:23):
I guess if I or like his dog was injured,
you know, like the next truth.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
The dog you know what it's. It's Corey's theory, of course,
the dog's dog's fine. I'll tell you what. Let's uh,
let's call him and try to figure it out. Okay,
I would okay, awesome, thank you. We would love to
get you a second date. So just you know the drill,
have your mute button ready, I'm ready. All right, we'll
do it after this. It's second Date updates Star one

(17:50):
on one three, more variety from the two thousands, the nineties,
and today it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus
and Corey. We're doing second Date update right now. Annie,
was telling us about her date with Chance, who has
ghosted you guys met on Tinder. It was Mexican food
and Walnut Creek and I hate, I hated any when
it's like I was sure there was going to be

(18:11):
a second day. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like
that takes a lot to muster that level. Yeah, level
of confidence. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Let's call him, Let's
try to figure some things out. Corey's theory was that
he tripped over his dog. Yeah, it's a small dog.
Let's call him. Go ahead and ute. Here we go. Hello,

(18:36):
I may speak with Chance, Please.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
Speaking? Who? Hi?

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Chance?

Speaker 1 (18:42):
This is Marcus and Corey from Star one on one
three Morning Chance.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Uh, good morning. What's going on?

Speaker 1 (18:49):
I don't suppose you listen to our radio show, do you?

Speaker 4 (18:53):
I don't should I.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Yes, We're delightful. We're doing some thing called second Date Update.
It's a dating segment on our show, and someone called
about you and we were wondering if you would.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Talk to us about it. Sure, cool, Thank you sweet.
Her name is Annie. What can you tell us about
your date with Annie? She had a really good time,
but now she's feeling like you're ghosting her and she
she said she was certain there was going to be
a second date, so maybe you could provide some clarity. Yeah,
how did it go for you?

Speaker 4 (19:25):
Kid?

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Went pretty good.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
She's a super mescal But honestly, I just I just
don't date people who vape.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
People who vapeape yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
You know, like vype like with the hop Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Oh so, I mean it's kind of the same as smoking.
It's just a different that doesn't make it better.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
No, no, no, no, I'm saying like I wouldn't date
a smoker. Yeah, because the vaping. Can you freaks me
out because of the popcorn in front of you?

Speaker 5 (19:58):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (19:58):
No, no, she did, but I could just smell an honor.
So yeah, it's just one of those things that it's
kind of hard to you know. Yeah, like I said,
I can see her do it, but it's like it's
really hard to like cover up and you know, it
just out.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Okay, Well, thank you for the clarity. I would love
to take a moment, and part of this is so
Annie is listening right now. I'd like to bring her on.
We were just trying to get some clarity. Annie. It
was the vaping. Are you there, Hi, Yes, I'm here.
Were you vaping.

Speaker 5 (20:38):
I vaped like like five hours before the date that day,
and I actually I'm just really not a vapor like.
I do it occasionally when I'm like really nervous, like,
and I, you know, this is the first date. I
wanted to make a good impression. But also like, yeah,
he never said anything about that's what I have no idea.
I wouldn't vape if we, you know, went on a
second date. I so that was a big deal.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
I see, yeah, Danny. Uh yeah, No, I didn't say anything.
I didn't want to like a gotcha moment or anything
like that.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Uh, this is really a deal breaker, huh.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
I mean yeah, I mean I had an ex. It
was also like at the closet vapor so to speak.
And look, I know all the tricks, uh, and you
just you can't hide that ear hot and candy you
know chemical smell. Plus you kind of look do she
doing it so too? So I just yeah, unfortunately, I

(21:36):
just have too much PTSD from my ex in my
last relationship. So sorry. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
I mean I feel like if something that small is
like a deal breaker, then I guess that's good information.
I feel like that's sort of ridiculous and like you're
missing out on something that could be really great. I
could show you that if you would give me a chance.
But if you're not open, and that seems like it's
pretty self explanatory, I guess, and good luck dating.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
I guess, got it all right? Yeah, okay, hang on,
hang on, I mean preferences, you know, that's really what
this amounts to. Yeah, it really does. Second Date Updates
seven oh five weekday mornings. He replace it nine oh five.
You got the podcast, as you know, on the iHeartRadio
app set that preset so you can just one touch

(22:26):
and you can just catch up on all the Second
Date updates from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one O one three. It's Marcus and Corey
seven twenty one. Good morning. Hello. You know, I like
to keep it tight and bright on the show, but
every once in a while, you know, these things happen
in our lives that I want to share this one
because I feel like it's a reminder to everybody, a
reminder to call your friends, call the people that maybe

(22:47):
you haven't connected within a while that are a joy
to connect with.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Well, at the risk of sounding like that guy that's like, hey,
tomorrow's never promised. I lost a friend yesterday kind of
out of the blue. Out of the blue it was.
It was cancer, and I just found out about it
yesterday and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
You didn't know, didn't I have any idea. He was
one of those guys that kept to himself. And the

(23:12):
reason why this particular one. I mean, they're all impactful.
You hate losing loved ones, but he's one of those
guys that was so just nice to hang out with.
He was a contractor, so he knew all about building,
so I'd pick his brain about building stuff and making
stuff and fixing stuff. But then he was also very much,
very philosophical, and so you could segue from hey, George,

(23:33):
what kind of plumber's tape do I use here? Or
what kind of drill do I use for this? Again?
Right into so let's go over the stoic teachings of
Marcus Aurelius. He spoke Latin. You know, his crew was
all mexicanos, so he took the time, even as a
green go to learn Spanish at a high level. Wow.

(23:53):
And we would sit in the backyard, especially during COVID
and and drink wine and talk and and he's just
good got to hang out with But the last few
times I've seen him around town, he's always like EDMANO,
I miss hanging out with you. We should get together,
and I just really and every time I'm like, yeah, dude,
you gotta come over, you gotta come over, you gotta

(24:14):
come over. Well, it never happened. Yeah, you know what
I mean, it stopped happening.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
You mean, well, the intention is there, but if you
don't lock down a date, if you don't make the
plan correct.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
And that's my point. I feel like as adults, and
we're all guilty of this, and I joke about it,
but we all make plans to make plans. How many
times have you been talking to somebody and said the words, man,
we got to get together. The joke is we say that,
you know, every week, until it's too late, And now
with me and my buddy, it's too late. And so

(24:46):
I just it's a sad moment. But I want to
remind you, like, if you've got somebody in your life
like Cory, I'm sure you can think of somebody that
you keep threatening to get together with, so the next
time you talk to them, In fact, make a plan
to talk to him today. And instead of saying hey
we should get together, say hey, how does next Tuesday

(25:08):
lunch sound right? Lock it down? You know what I mean?
Lock it down? Yeah, because you just you never know,
you never know. So my guy, may he rest in peace.
And uh, like I said, if you know a good human,
you've got a good human in your life. You haven't
connected with him in a minute, even a phone call,
you know what I mean. Yeah, So just a just
a quick reminder, that's all I wanted to do.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
There's time for good news with Marcus and Corey.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Sometimes all you need is the one a good thought
to make it a great day.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
So let's do this.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
It's good news on Star Fun one three do.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Good news twice in morning seven and this hour. It
is brought to you by Stanford Medicine, Children's Health Access
to Excellence. Speaking of a guy looking after the kids.
This is a police officer in Hayward who has made
national news for being a hero. Officer Emilio Gonzalez from
Hayward p D acted super fast and saved in eleven

(26:08):
month olds life after the baby was choking on a
rubber band. Oh god. Yeah, and he was just leaving
the the the not the precinct, but the station house
to go on shift, and a family ran up to
him holding this baby who was choking. They're freaking out, obviously,

(26:29):
the parents, and he had just had that kind of
training that week specific to kids, because it's different, right,
and he flipped the baby over, patted it on the back,
managed to dislodge the rubber band, and the baby started

(26:49):
breathing normally. But he said when they handed her the baby,
she was discolored, having trouble breathing, and he said it
felt really it was intense to have in somebody else's
child in your arms and you've got save them. But
this is what first responders do. So and it's incredible
that he had just learned this that week. Yeah, pretty nuts,
but so thank you, Officer Gonzalez of the Hayward Police Department.

(27:14):
We can salute you today, sir, Well well done, nice job.
