Speaker 1 (00:00):
Or variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today

Speaker 4 (00:13):
Very productive day yesterday. Got a lot of stuff done.
And yeah, you know, sometimes you're just like you're on
your grind short and stuff and you feel like your
check marketing.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
That's how yesterday was.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I had a banner day yesterday at the ballpark. Yeah,
as someone stopped by the seats for a hug. Who say,
it's up to Leslie and her daughter Presley.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Okay, Leslie and Presley.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
They're so cute.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yeah, there's a picture of all of us in my
stories and I was stoked. And she had sent me
a DM and was like, wait where are you sitting?
Were there on a school field trip?
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Oh that's cute.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
They're from They're from Dublin, your favorite place in the
Tri Valley.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I do appreciate Dublin and uh and.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
It was just neat.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
You know, it only happens every once in a while.
And when it happens It's really cool. I like to
meet people.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
I feel like you would meet people easier, like when
you're in the hallway or concourse or you know, sure
the food places.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
To actually get to your seat, it's going to be
a little more challenging.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Well they did it. It was a good time.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Now, how was the game game?
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Well, the game itself was terrible. We get crushed. Okay,
giants could not pitch the baseball, but I did have
I sat with a buddy of mine I hadn't seen
since Phil, like the nineties. We used to run the
clubs in Pleasanton in the nineties. If you live in
the Tri Valley, you know Jody Amos because he's Amos
Productions is the company. He's had it for thirty five
years since he graduated high school.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
He does all the big events and stuff. Cool.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
So really cool, dude, Really great time. Game was terrible, Sunshine,
and I met some people.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
The thing about baseball is that even if the game
isn't that great, you've got the food and the weather
and the atmosphere.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
My wife loves giants games, doesn't care about baseball, loves
to party.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah, that's why we go exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Meanwhile, I love baseball, so it works out anyway. All right,

(02:27):
It's seven thirty five. Stay with us ay from the
two thousands, the nineties, and today it's Star one on
one three.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
It's Marcus and Corey Thursday, Good morning.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Hello.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Here's something cute.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Married adults share the moment they knew their partner.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Was the one. Oh, these are adorable.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
They're very specific.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
One lady wrote, he blurted out that he loved me
so much during a quick lunch date because we had
just found out we both.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Hated egg nog. The other one I love.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
We left his house to go somewhere, and he talked
to his dog in a totally normal.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Voice, not like oh yeah, woo do boo doo.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
He said, hey, we're going out now, we'll be back soon,
not an ounce of embarrassment about talking to his dog
like he was people right in front of his new girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
I knew then he was a keeper.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
I gotta tell you, man, it was probably like maybe
a month into my relationship with my husband, with the
Jeff Jeff, and I turned to my friend and I said,
I'm going to marry him.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
But what was the thing? What did he do?
Speaker 3 (03:24):
He was easy.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
There was no games, there was no oh, you know,
waiting to call or this or that. He was just
himself from the beginning, and it was just like, this
is the easiest relationship I've ever had.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
I will forever quote Robert de Niro who said, being
in the right relationship is like an easy chair, not
that hard to get comfortable.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
That's exactly what it was.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
I feel like the second I saw my wife, I
was in weirdly just her.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
She has a vibe.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
You ever meet my wife, she just had a gravitational
pull and I had to temper myself because I was
I was married at the time.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah, that's that's good, good choice.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
I'm not going to get into the whole story, but
it all unfolded properly, just FYI.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
There was no no nefarious shenanigans.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
That's good because we didn't reconnect until a decade later
and my other relationship was dissolving.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
But if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
I think one of my favorite ones on this list,
we're talking about married adults that shared the moment they
knew their partner was the one she drove on our
first date and I was looking through a CDs. Yeah,
I found Tenacious Dya and we did car karaoke through
the whole album.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Exactly.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Dude, when you connect with music, like my wife and
I are both gigantic beatles nerds, Yeah, we both love
rock music, some pop music. But a moment on our
first date, we were at Extreme Pizza on Folsom and
we both ordered pepperoni pineapple Hollapano at the same time. Well,
it's that moment where I looked at it and I
wanted to say the words will you marry me?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
But because we're literally our first date. But dude, we
dated for a week and moved in together.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Done cooked. This is really cute.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Another one of these we were long distance. We met
for the first time after eight months of talking. He
knew I was allergic to flowers, so he got me
a broccoli, my favorite vegetable.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Stalks wrapped in ribbon.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
That's thoughtful. That's it really cute because.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
It's her favorite vegetable and she's allergic to flowers.
Speaker 1 (05:14):

It's Star one on one three.
Speaker 2 (08:51):

Star one one three.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
What's happening in entertainment news, the biggest stories of the

the chance to buy her master recordings back, and which
is what's weird about it, is that Scooter Braun was
the one who kind of messed all this up in
(09:25):
the beginning, and that's why she went back into the
studio and re recorded all of her albums, calling them
Taylor's version. Scooter Braun sold those albums to investment firm
Shamrock Capital, and now he's trying to have Shamrock sell
the masters back to Taylor. They are interested. These include
Taylor Swift Fearless, Speaking out Red nineteen eighty nine reputation.
(09:47):
So far, no one's commenting, but the recordings are now
worth at least six hundred million dollars guaranteed.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Scooter Braun's getting a cut.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
That's a lot of money, and she's already re recording
some of them.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
So has this been the endgame a whole time?
Speaker 3 (10:01):
That would be a great question. Was this his whole
point to this?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Scooter been playing chess while the rest of us are
playing checkers.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
HM.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
The live action Lelo and Stitch movie is looking like
it's going to have a pretty massive debut this weekend, though.
I just read an article where some people are not
appreciating the changes that happen when you go from cartoon
to live action. Yeah, sometimes the characters lose a little bit,
but it's supposed to be huge, so huge that Disney's
already thinking about its sequels.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Sure they are.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
They're like, what, heck ya, Monday, let's do this. I
do love Disney, though.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Food and beverage companies are using TikTok for new ideas.
We were just talking about dirty sodas last week, and
now mixing tea and soda is a thing. Sprite and
Tea is going to be available in stores. It's available now,
only for a limited time. But that was something that
started on TikTok. It was people steeping tea bags in Sprite.
Now it's already pre made for you.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
This makes sense because what do you add to tea?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Lemon sugar? What's in Sprite lemon sugar.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Lime, lime, So it's kind of like an Arnold Palmer.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah, I suppose.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
So, speaking of TikTok trends, TikTok has a trend that
is I don't know if I could pull this off.
So they're suggesting you have your man call his buddies
just to say good night, and you video it.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Yeah, but you have to video the other person too,
so they're in on it.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
If I called your husband the Jeff, just to wish
him good night, I would want my wife to video
me while you're videoing him, and then I would cobble
it together.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
He wouldn't answer the phone, I know, but if he did,
it would do.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Exactly what you were doing, trying to go viral.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Try to Marcus being a funny guy.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Doing a show, even though I have a show, I'm
doing another show later.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Guaranteed, he wouldn't say anything.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
No, he'd probably hang up.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
I would just want the look on his face. I
would want to know who.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Has the better RBF face when I make jokes, You
or Jeff.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Ooh, that's a great question. I don't even know if I'm.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Unanswerable right now unanswerable, but think about it. If you
don't know what RBF is, I cannot explain it right now.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Look it up.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Uh, National Chardonnay Day today for that that's when we
can rally around. Perfect for the sunshine. I don't like
the name of this, but I do like the concept.
National Boss Babe Day.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
I wish it would something like National Boss Lady Day.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Boss Lady Day. I like that.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Yeah, dude, some of the best bosses I've ever had
were ladies.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I just enjoy.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
I just it's fantastic, and especially if you're a lady
in a male dominated industry.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Not that Corey wouldn't know anything about that.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Oh no, not at all.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Can I ask you something?
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Yeah, think over the last twenty years of doing radio,
what's it bent like like as far as trying to
come up in a male dominated industry.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
There are the people who support you and really help you.
Because the person who hired me here was someone I
worked with, Yeah, in Houston.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
And it's very much about advancing ladies.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Yes, and I appreciated that a lot. And then on
the other hand, I had a female boss who made
it into entire sorority and you had to kiss her
butt if you wanted to get anywhere. And then my
favorite was when I worked with a guy who didn't
want me to be funny, and when I was funny,
he would turn my microphone off.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
When I do that, I get punched.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Yeah, don't touch that microphone.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
And that's the other part of National Boss babe day.
It's you want to showcase ladies that are not intimidated
by the progress of their fellow ladies and lift each
other up.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Yes, that's what it's about.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I'm talking as if I'm a lady, so I should.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Just chum up. You're basically there.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Speaking of boss ladies. The Golden State Valkyries got their
first win last night against Washington seventy six to seventy
four of the Final Congratulations. They're in LA playing the
Sparks tomorrow at seven o'clock. Giants lost a terrible game yesterday,
eight to four. The weather was nice, it was nice.
What a great game to go to. Thank you to
Leslie and her daughter Presley, who were there for a
(14:11):
school trip and came to my seats and gave me
a hug.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
That's nice.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Giants traveling to Washington, DC tomorrow. First pitch on that
game gonna be three forty five almost.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
What's what's beest, what's l guts?
Speaker 3 (14:24):
What's trending?
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Every weekday morning on the fifties that's six fifty seven
and eight fifty AM and Connection.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
Now with Marcus and Corey everywhere at Star one O
one three f M and at Marcus and Corey a.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's
Star one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We're
back with second date update.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Y'alls.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
It's our dating segments.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
This is where we talked to you about a date
you went on and try to figure out how to
get you another one. Maybe you're having some trouble getting
your person on the phone.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Let's talk to Eric.
Speaker 7 (14:54):
Eric.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Hello, Hello, good morning. How are you good?
Speaker 5 (14:57):
Good?
Speaker 1 (14:58):
How are you good?
Speaker 2 (14:59):
But good?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
We want to get right to it, man, So do
we want to help you out here? Tell us about Pam.
First of all, how did you guys meet?
Speaker 5 (15:05):
Yeah, so Pam and I met on Hinge and yeah,
we hit it off on the app and things were
moving well enough that we decided to meet up. So
on her profile, she says that she likes long walks
from the beach and I thought it'd be clever and
uh so I said, hey, why don't we go to
Bigger Beach for for our date? For a first one? Eric?
(15:28):
And so we went to Bigger Beach and it was great.
We had really easy conversation. Pam was talking about how
she really wanted to go to Iceland, and I was
talking about how I want to go to Kyoto in
the fall, like really nice conversations. We chatted about books.
Speaker 8 (15:47):
Each other.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
Yeah, yeah, I mean it was.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
It was a good chat though.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
We had a great time. From my point of view,
I genuinely don't know why she's just ghosted.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
So, okay, Corey, here's what I think.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
She's in the city, and she parks her car in
a public garage, the valets taking on joy ride and
she's still waiting for them to burn her car back.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Is this Fairest Bueller's day off?
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Maybe?
Speaker 1 (16:11):
You know, I feel like I got that one. Eric
has no idea what to do here.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
It's all right, it could be the game.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
Here goes.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I mean, this sounds cute though, it really does. So
here's what we're gonna do. You know this already because
you've been listening for a while. But we're gonna call
Pam with you on the phone, and we're gonna see
how it went for her. Ultimately, would love to score
you a second date. But like, if you've got a
couple of minutes, we're gonna play a song.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
We'll call her. Okay, okay, all right, Fingers crossed. Hang
on the line. Yeah, we'll do it next.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Second Date updates Star one on one three, what variety
from the two thousands, the nineties and today Star one
on one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We are in
the middle of second Date update. We've got Eric on
the phone and he went out with Pam. They met
on Hinge. Super cute in her profile and I quote
love long walks on the beach.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
So what does he do? Corey takes her to a beach,
takes her to Baker Beach. Well played, Eric, you're still
there here? Okay he was already muted out. I do
that every time.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Sorry, every single time.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Okay, go ahead and mute.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
We're gonna call her because I'd love to see if
we can score you a second day and try to
figure out why she ghosted.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
Okay, so here we go.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Hello, Hi, make speak with Pam please.
Speaker 8 (17:30):
Yeh, this is Pam.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Hi, Pam. It's Marcus and Corey from Star one O
one three.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Pam is legit working right now, I guarantee it.
Speaker 8 (17:40):
Hey, Yes, I am working.
Speaker 6 (17:42):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Do you listen to our morning show? By chance?
Speaker 8 (17:48):
I listened to one on one three, but I'm more
of the music. Gal, I don't really listen to the
morning show.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Doesn't like all the yapping you delight.
Speaker 8 (17:57):
I mean your voices sound familiar.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Thank you. I'll take that.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
So we're doing our dating segment called Second Date Update,
and someone called us about a date you went on,
and we were wondering if you wouldn't mind being on
the air with us to talk about this day.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
There's a gentleman who thinks you're great, would love to
take you out again, knows that you like long walks
on the beach.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
His name is okay, why not?
Speaker 2 (18:22):
His name is Eric?
Speaker 8 (18:25):
Yep. I figured that this was about Eric. Well, he's
a really nice guy, and you know, I understand the
weather was super warm that day, so you gotta do
what you gotta do.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Should we get a second date to what?
Speaker 3 (18:40):
I just don't think?
Speaker 5 (18:41):
So?
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Why well he was?
Speaker 8 (18:47):
He's wearing these like just incredibly super short hoochi daddy shorts.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
What are hoochy daddy shorts?
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Those are the ones that are like, think like Jim
in the Seven Oh God like tight yes, the man, I.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Think like just plump smugglers. I don't know how else.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
To put it.
Speaker 8 (19:08):
That's a great way to put it.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Learning breakfast really quite a vision and thank you very much.
Speaker 8 (19:14):
So short, so tight. I cannot emphasize the tight enough.
I like, he just needs to leave something to the imagination.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
So what are you saying this is a turn off
or I think so?
Speaker 8 (19:25):
It was just a lot on a first ding and
in public. I mean it was like very out there right.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Okay, okay, out of respect for the fact that you
don't listen in the morning, let me explain second date update.
The other part of it is that Eric is actually
listening right now, and so we're learning things together.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
Let's bring Eric on.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Eric, Say hi Eric.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
Pam Uh Yeah, I'm actually pretty shocked that the shorts
were the turnoff, wow.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Because there's a half dozen other things that should have
been what I don't know what.
Speaker 7 (20:01):
No, I just like that's the thing that that is,
then go for a second date. I'm a little bit surprised,
Like I'm just trying to stay cool, you know.
Speaker 8 (20:17):
I get that, I get that, just like the choice
of that for our first date. It was just a lot.
I was just seeing a lot more than I was
expecting to see.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
I mean, real talk, Eric, you could see how this
could be overwhelming for somebody. No, if they don't know,
you don't, I don't think there.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
I'm truly confused. Really, I think that I think that
everybody should Yeah, I think that everybody should be able
to wear short of clothing whatever it's hot outside without any.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Tell me you have a tell me you have a
boar at bathing suit. Please just make my day.
Speaker 5 (20:52):
I wish I could tell you that. I I don't.
Actually that's crazy, Like I'm not. I'm not walking around
here like straight up banana like I'm out here just
a my booty.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Shorts, booty shorts.
Speaker 5 (21:02):
You can join the sun.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Pucci Daddy's if you will.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
But he said bootist shorts is that they do make.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
The booty pop.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Yeah, okay, what is happening all right?
Speaker 4 (21:14):
So Pam, bottom line is this is this something you
can overlook?
Speaker 6 (21:19):
No?
Speaker 8 (21:19):
I mean not only can I not overlook it. I
don't think I'm ever going to get that image.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
I think he.
Speaker 8 (21:24):
Needs I can see it. I think he needs to
be careful.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
You might get a yeast infection.
Speaker 8 (21:31):
You need to have some air down there.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Wow, plenty of air, plenty of air going and you're
welcome for the image that is forever in your head
because it's a good one.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Right, hang on, please, I will say the confidence between
both of them is is valid?
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Sure? Sure al right.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Second date update seven oh five. Weekday Mornings your replace
it nine oh five. You got the podcast which will
be updated today with all of.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Them on there. You can binge listen. It's on the
I Heard Radio app. Please set a preset. Thank you,
so much more variety from the two thousands, the nineties,
and today it's Star one oh one three, it's Marcus
and Corey. It's seven twenty one. Good morning, Hello.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Memorial Day weekend coming in hot thirty what is it?
Thirty nine million? It's gotta be more than that. Bajillions
of people are going to be traveling. What is the
best and worst time to travel for Memorial Day weekend?
Let's plan it out for you. The absolute best time
to go where you're gonna go is today before noon,
But like, can anybody actually.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Pull that off?
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Spends what you do?
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, if you could rally your crew, get in the
car before noon today, it is your absolute best time. Okay,
second best time tomorrow before eleven am. So basically you're
taking Friday off to basically or working from home.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
What if you win tonight, you know, like after rush hour,
so you guys like late night, yeah, like eight.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Or nine pm, seven seven, you might not be okay.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Okay, I would.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
I'd say eight thirty nine o'clock, you might be okay,
depending on where you're going. Ok I had a little
bit of anxiety for this weekend because we so we
have some friends that have a pool. They live in Alamo,
which is East Bay. We live in Half Moon Bay,
and my wife told me, and I adore them, but
she said, we're gonna drive out there on Sunday and
come back Monday. Saying the words we're coming back Monday
(23:23):
on Memorial Day weekend actually will give me anxiety.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
Why don't you go Saturday and come back Sunday.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
We have stuff going on Saturday, got stuff going on,
got a graduation to go to. Okay, And at first
I was like, oh, coming back Monday sounds awful. But
according to this, as long as we're on the road
before two pm, we're okay. All right, So you get up,
you do a little brunch, you're on the road back
(23:48):
across ninety two by by eleven thirty noon, we'll be
all right. It's if they decide to get back in
the pool on Monday, and we don't leave till three.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
Oh, don't do that.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
That just sounds like this. So the worst times to
go anywhere.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Ahi, everybody's bathing soon.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
The worst times to go anywhere on Memorial Day weekend
right here today from one to five in the afternoon.
So maybe you're okay, folly like after five o'clock, good
to go tomorrow. Traveling between noon and eight is not advised.
Saturday between two and six not advised, Sunday between one
and five not advised. And then yeah, right here, worst
(24:27):
times to be on the road for a Memorial Day
weekend Monday from four to seven pm.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Oh god, that's gonna be a nightmare.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
So if you're gonna leave late, leave really late.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah. I don't know why I love talking about this,
but I just tho, well, you're trying to be helpful.
I like to be in the know, and I like
to know that I'm making good decisions.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
I mean, because there are times when I see backups
on like two eighty for no reason, and there can
be traffic for no reason.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Absolute worst route in the Bay Area and they did
it by major city is San Francisco to Napa via
I eighty. That's the absolute worst thing you can do
on Memorial Day weekend. So like if you were to
be coming back from Napa at five in the afternoon
on the Monday, that's that's just karmageddon.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
Yeah, it's time for good News with Marcus and Corey.
Speaker 6 (25:18):
Good Sometimes all you need is one a good thought
to make it a great day.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
So let's do this.
Speaker 6 (25:24):
It's good News on Star one one three.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
You'll give you good.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
News twice in the morning seven, just trying to put
a smile on your face. This hour brought to you
by Shreven Company, Luxury time Pieces, fine Designers, Flawless Diamonds.
I love this story because it reminds me of my
dad and for those of you who have been following
the show, I was his main caregiver for he lived
with us for a dozen years, but he passed away
in twenty twenty two. But this is a story of
(25:50):
a good samaritan who did CPR for twenty minutes save
a guy in Montreal. Wow, and how thankful the gentleman's
family is.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
I'm sure.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
So this is an anonymous bystander. They don't know who
it is. This is in Montreal. It's a very walkable city.
Gentleman by the name of Sabata Borelli, eighty seven years old,
out on his daily walk he collapsed and whoever this
anonymous person is did SEPR for approximately twenty minutes.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
That's a long time to do.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah, experts do say every minute counts and if you
can immediately start CPR, says right here, it dramatically improves
the person's likelihood of surviving. And the reason this made
me think of my old man is because it made
me remember the number of times he got himself into
trouble and we weren't around and somebody helped him. That's nice,
(26:42):
right from a medical professional on standby. There was one
time he backed into a lady's car. That's what I
had to take his keys away all the way down
to my lady at the corner grocery store. So he
had this habit. We would be doing the show. It
was COVID, right, So I'd be doing the show at
the house right in the middle of a break like this,
(27:03):
talking and I'd get a text from my wife and
veho's on the move.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Oh, the old man's on the move.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
He'd sneak behind me leave the house to go down
to the corner to buy rum.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Well, and i'd get a call.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
From the grit. Oh yeah, your dad's here.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
Oh that's nice.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Just even like looking out you know what I mean,
no mask, no walker. Well, God, thank God for good Samaritans. Yeah, oh,
I'm saying. So this lady's daughter is now trying to
find a gentleman. He just wants to or whoever it is,
he just wants to repay the kindness. So there you go,
(27:42):
saving them on the streets just because they're a good person.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
I'm here for it.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Comme a variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and
today it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus a
Kory and it's time to play the bass favorite trivia game.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
This is called what you Know About That.
