Make sure you're checking the fuck out. Check them both out,
because guess what I appreciate it is getting today's show?
All right? You know, we all make mistakes. We all, like,
like I said, a lot of us fall flat on
our face, but a lot of us live with those mistakes.

(02:02):
We let them bury themselves in us, all right? And
when I mean bury themselves, bury those in us. People
were like, what do you mean by that? Look? We
wear our mistakes on our fucking sleeves, we wear it
in our skin, we hold it in You know, it
took a long time for me to grow up in
my life and realize mistakes happen. Move the fuck on,

(02:27):
shit happens, Move the fuck on. I fucked up. I
moved a fuck on all right, And look, there's big mistake,
there's small mistakes, and there's in between mistakes. But the
thing is is each one of them you have to
remember what you fucking did, why it fucking happened, don't
do it again, realize it, understand it, and tell yourself,

(02:52):
I will never make this mistake again. You know, and
never make this mistake again is a hard fucking almost
impossible thing to say to do. But here's the thing.
You cannot become better if you don't ever face these things.
If you deny it, you fucking just try to push
it off. You try. I don't know how many times

(03:13):
in my life where I just kind of walked away
from a problem, hoping that you would fix itself. Guess
the fuck what. It never does, It never ever fucking does.
It gets bigger, it gets worse, it fucking festers, It
becomes this disgusting thing that you never want to fucking touch.
But guess what, it always rears its ugly fucking head.
I don't give a fuck who you are, where you
come from, any of that fucking shit. That's exactly the

(03:34):
fucking universal truth right there. Shit always comes back, shit
always gets worse. But here's the fucking solution to the problem.
Acknowledge it, accept it, and then move the fuck on.
Do what you have to do to rectify the mistake.
Do what you have to do to never make that
mistake again. Do what you have to do to fix

(03:57):
the fucking problem. Because is the faster you fix it,
the faster you move on. The faster you acknowledge it,
the faster you can move on. It's simple fucking math,
all right. And I say it like this because I'm
a person who's made a ton of problems, problems in relationships,
problems in life, financial problems, work problems, you fucking name it.

(04:20):
I've had the fucking problem. Just like the rest of us.
We all have issues, we all have fucking faults, we
all have things that we wish we never fucking did.
But here's the fucking thing. Figure it the fuck out
and try to fucking fix it. Try to fucking do
something to change you, to become the person that you

(04:40):
want to become, to become something that can't be fucking
stopped by a mistake, a slip, a fall, a fucking
whatever the fuck you want to call it. An oopsie daisy,
You know what I'm saying. We all have things that
happen in our lives, but it's up to us to
take care of them. It's up to us. No one's

(05:02):
gonna fix shit for us, no one's gonna save us,
no one's gonna fucking magically appear and everything's fucking okay.
Doesn't fucking work like that. We live in the real
fucking world. There's consequences to our actions. There's fucking reactions
to the action. There there's ups and downs, and there's
all arounds, and there's fucking We fall on our face.

(05:22):
It fucking hurts, it's painful, it fucking sucks. We have
to deal with the internal pain, the internal agony, the
internal thoughts, the fucking the the the internal monologue that
we have of I'm a fuck up. I fucking fuck
everything up. Nothing's ever fucking right because it's always my
fucking fault. And that's the ship that fucking puts you in.

(05:43):
That spiral that brings the ship back makes it fucking worse.
And I don't want that for anybody. I don't want
that for you. I don't want that for fucking my kids.
I don't want that for anybody who's in in earshot
of my voice. What I want is you to understand
that you can get over it fast, you can be done,

(06:03):
you can fix, you can fucking there. There's a way
to change, there's a way to pivot, there's a way
to become something that that can manage these fucking things.
I understand life is overwhelming. I understand life catches up.
I understand shit fucking happens. I fucking really do. And

(06:23):
the reason I understand it is because I've been in
those shoes. I've had these fucking problems. I've had these
fucking issues, I've had these fucking thoughts. And you're not
the only one out there, all right, a lot of
us go through the exact same fucking thing that we're
going through right fucking now at this fucking moment in
time in our lives, you know, and sometimes a little

(06:45):
nudge in the right direction can fix, solve, and change
you the problem or the situation. And here's the thing,
own it, show it the fuck off. Yes I fucked up,
but I learn from it. Yes this happened, but I'm
doing something to change it. Yes, I put myself in

(07:07):
a situation, but I will never be in this situation
again because I do not like the way I fucking
feel or the way it's making me act. That's what
I'm trying to tell you, guys. Shit gets fucking crazy
in this fucking world. But the fastest way to get
through it, the fastest way to get around it, and
the fastest way to deal with it is to take

(07:27):
it to head the fuck on. Don't be fucking scared.
Deal with the fucking consequences. Take your fucking take your beaten,
take your lashing, take your fucking you know, whatever the
consequence is, because it only gets worse if you don't.

(07:48):
It's better to deal with it now than it is
to deal with later. Because here's the thing. It always
becomes a worser situation, a worser punishment, a worser thing.
You only hurt yourself more. I want to help you
avoid that by help trying to give you the confidence
to fucking stand up for yourself, Stand up to yourself,

(08:08):
stand up to your thoughts, question yourself, question the fucking world.
Question what the fuck's going on? Why do these things
keep fucking happening to me? Guess the fuck what it's
because you let it. You're fucking lazy. You don't pay
attention at this moment in time. You don't give a fuck.
You give a fuck when it happens, but you don't

(08:28):
give a fuck as you do it. You have to
pay attention to your life otherwise your life will become
out of control. It'll slip out of your fucking hands,
and then the next thing you know is years down
the line, and where the fuck did you do for yourself.
You're not a goddamn fucking thing. That's how life is.
It isn't fair. It will never be fair. If it

(08:51):
was fair, I've had a much cushier life my entire life,
but it's not. I had to fucking drag myself through
fucking gravel, roads, glass and fucking mud and guck and
fucking all this shit just to get to where I'm
at right now, where I can fucking talk about these
fucking things. It sucks. Life can suck, and you can

(09:13):
make it worse by not handling your shit, handling your
fucking problems and really dealing with it. Whatever it is.
You know what it is to you, but deal with it,
handle it, get it the fuck done. Don't fucking waste
your fucking time, don't waste your fucking life, don't put

(09:34):
undue stress upon yourself because you're letting this shit happen.
It all starts with you just understanding it. And I
just want to make sure that I fucking pass that
message on. You know what I'm saying. And like I said,
it might sound like a babbling in all this fucking bullshit,
but at the same time, this is all shit that

(09:55):
I've gone through in my life too, and I've made
my life easier and I made my life better and
I made my life a lot more consistent by making
sure that I just confront it with fucking undue truth.
I'm talking about fucking rough raw, no fucks giving this
is this is as as real as that can fucking get.
This is what's going on, this is what I'm doing,

(10:18):
this is what I did, This is how I'm gonna
fix it, this is how I'm gonna change it. And
really fucking look into yourself. I looked into myself, didn't
like what I fucking saw and I had to do
something about it, and I didn't. It fucking sucked for
a few years. It was difficult for a few years,
a lot of people didn't talk to me, a lot
of people weren't around me. But at the same fucking time,

(10:40):
that's what it fucking took. It's all about pushing yourself forward,
doing what's best for you, and understanding how to achieve
a life that you deserve. And it's always about taking
responsibility for oneself. So guess the fuck what this is?
The angry motherfucking dad. I want to watch my shit YouTube,
want to do a speaker soundclus ditch your Spotify, Google Play,

(11:02):
Apple podcasts, pod being SoundCloud deezer. iHeartRadio this motherfuckers that

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
