Por lo general, la mayoría de las religiones recalcan la importancia que un sentimiento como la Compasión tiene para la humanidad, ya que se considera que, a través de ella, el ser humano puede ser más bondadoso, más solidario, más noble, y es un reflejo de la Compasión divina que es bondadoso con el hombre para que pueda imitar a viva imagen en su vida cotidiana, ese sentimiento llamado Misericordia Divina.
