There's nothing better than being inspired by one of my own podcasts -- and this was definitely one of those! Writer turned producer turned director Samuel W. Reed joined me to have a conversation about how he went from attempting to make a living writing in LA to eventually falling into producing. We discuss the perils of attempting to write spec scripts and how that's challenging in the modern market and what it means to be a "producer" on low-budget films (spoiler alert: you have to wear a lot of hats.)

Samuel also opens up about how the low-budget film he produced, BIRDIES, ended up gaining a following that turned into a profit for the film. If you want to get an understanding of how your low-budget movie can make money, this is wonderfully inspiring. This and so much more!
