Podlasie Nadbużańskie to region surrealistyczny. Jest trochę jak z filmów Tarkowskiego. Czasami wszystkiego jest za dużo, czasami za mało. Zdarzy się, że spotkasz opuszczony pegieer, a chwilę później usiądziesz na progu prawosławnego klasztoru. Zjesz kiszkę ziemniaczaną popijając ją litewską lemoniadą.
Przemierzając ten region rowerem masz wrażenie jakby miejscami czas zwalniał, cofał się nawet, albo po prostu stał, a to tylko po to, żeby przyspieszyć i zabrać Cię przynajmniej w teraźniejszość.
Podlasie jest surrealistyczne, bo nie daje się zamknąć w szufladkach. Zaskakuje, zachwyca, niepokoi i przyciąga. To miejsce, gdzie granica między realnością a snem jest cienka, a wszystko wydaje się trochę „nie z tego świata”, zwłaszcza jeśli jedziesz tam starym rowerem.
