Kenny Chesney Salutes No Shoes Nation In New Song, 'We Do'

Kenny Chesney has shared another new song ahead of his album release next month. "We Do," released on Friday (April 24) is an ode to Chesney's diehard fans as well as his band and crew.

"This is a song that wouldn't exist without all those people on my road family, the folks at all the stadiums nationwide, the radio people who start blasting our music when we're coming to town," Chesney says. "But even more importantly, without No Shoes Nation."

He continues, "I always talk about how I can hear them from the bus, and that fun just gets backstage, floats through the air. You get caught up in it... They take all that energy, then they go out into the world and live their lives the same way."

"We Do" is the fourth song Chesney has shared from his upcoming Here and Now album, due out May 1. Previously released songs on the record includes "Knowing You," "Tip Of My Tongue," "Guys Named Captain," and the title track, "Here and Now."

Chesney's "Chillaxification Tour," in support of the new album, has been postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Originally the tour was scheduled to begin on April 18, but has been pushed back to May 20. At this time, seven stadiums and four amphitheater shows have been rescheduled.

"Nobody wants to get out there for these shows more than I do," Chesney said in a statement. "We’ve started rehearsals; everything is loaded in – and the band sounds great. Music is medicine when your soul or your heart need healing, but I don’t want my music to put anyone at risk."

Stay tuned for updates on the "Chillaxification Tour." Further details about the tour can be see at KennyChesney.com.
