On Monday (April 27), YUNGBLUD dropped the first video in his Stay Home With: YUNGBLUD docuseries. Every Monday the alt-rocker will drop a new video that gives fans a glimpse into his daily life while under quarantine and the first video was nothing short of amazing.
YUNGBLUD is stuck in Venice, California with his guitarist Adam, his photographer Tom, and his manager Gavin and the 12-minute video documents the first two weeks of his quarantine and his day-to-day life is pretty dang relatable.
The video opens with the “Original Me” singer building a pillow fort in the middle of the living room of his Airbnb. When asked why by his roommate the self-proclaimed “Pillow Fort Wizard” says, “because there's nothing else to do is there?” Truth!
After giving a tour of their house (and all the messy rooms — same, dude), fans get a behind-the-scenes look at YUNGBLUD shooting his music video for his new song, “Weird!” Since he can't do a normal big-budget shoot, the singer and his friends shot the video on cell phones and only used $100 to film!
In the video, the singer opened up about how hard it is to be away from his family who are on the other side of the world. In one shot, you can see him video chatting with his sister for her 13th birthday. “I'd usually fly home for birthdays no matter where I am but I can't, it's hard,” he said. “I really miss my family.”
By quarantine day 12, YUNGBLUD did what many of us did: got an at home haircut. Filming the whole ordeal fans can see a very nervous Tom (spoiler: he is not an expert barber) shave the back of YUNGBLUD's head. Thankfully, it doesn't turn out too badly.
Check out the whole video above and if you can, donate to No Kid Hungry which YUNGBLUD is fundraising for with the videos.
