Lady Gaga, BloodPop, and BURNS joined forces on a new version of “Stupid Love.”
Since nightclubs nationwide are closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Monster Monster is bringing the party straight to you with a dance-ready remix of the first single from her upcoming album. Produced by songwriter Michael Tucker (a.k.a BloodPop) and DJ Matthew James Burns (mononymously known as BURNS), “Stupid Love (Vitaclub Warehouse Mix)” spices up the original with a glittery house beat and reverberating vocals.
The remix is a sweet appetizer for what’s to come from Gaga’s sixth record, Chromatica, arriving on May 29. So far, “Stupid Love” has been the sole leading single to release from the superstar’s new effort, likely as a consequence of the times the world is facing.
This isn’t the first time BloodPop and BURNS have transformed the Grammy-winning songstress’ tracks. BloodPop actually co-wrote and co-produced “Stupid Love,” but has also collaborated with the singer on her Joanne album.
BURNS, on the other hand, has a producer credit on Gaga’s Chromatic collaboration “Sour Candy” featuring Blackpink. The album also includes several other exciting team-ups, including duets with Ariana Grande on “Rain On Me” and with the legendary Elton John on “Sine From Above.”
Chromatica’s arrival has come with its share of complications considering its original April release date had to be pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. Gaga also switched up the album artwork for her new 16-song offering, her first to come since releasing Joanne in 2016.
